Even though I found many User IDs and its corresponding Names in USR03, USR21, but still some User IDs r missing!
So,
What r the other tables (i.e. Other than USR03, USR21), I hv to look for User IDs and corresponding Names?

Can I switch the user IDs (or names) of two administrator accounts?

I have an iMac and a MacBook Air both running Lion. Both have the same two administrator accounts, but the UserIDs of the two are switched around, like this:
iMac Admin1 (UID 501), Admin2 (UID 502)
MacBook Air Admin1 (UID 502), Admin2 (UID 501)
It has been like that for a month or so and never bothered me. This morning I was copying files across to the MacBook Air, which went fine until I force quit the Finder on the MacBook. After that event, copying was no longer possible. I apparently ran into the problem described here: Problems transferring Powerpoint files in Lion
I don't understand why I didn't have this problem before. (I don't complain, don't get me wrong, I just don't understand). I'm trying to reset the MacBook Air by restoring yesterday's Time Machine copy. Can't tell if this helps yet; have to wait 12 more hours... But even if it does, the situation appears to be unstable.
Hence my question. Is there an easy way to get the UID numbering of the Admin accounts the same on both machines?
By the way, I read the solution referred to in he quoted article, which involves assigning a new, unused UID to an existing account. That seems like a cumbersome and error-prone method. And I would have to go through it twice. So: is ther an easier way to solve my particular problem?

Unfortunately with what you want to do and using just your MacBook Air as an example:
May have to create 503 first.
Change Admin2 - UID 501 to 503.
Change Admin1 - UID 502 to 501.
Change new Admin2 - UID 503 to UID 502.
End result would be Admin1 - UID 501 and Admin2 - UID 502 which would match your iMac accounts.

Would you mind providing more details about what you want to achieve by doing this?
Per my understanding, you might want to check whether the current user had registered, if no, then this user can be able to choose whether to register. All the information of the registered users will be stored in a list.
A solution would be like this:
1. Create a list which will be used to store the user information;
2. Retrieve the information needed of the current login user and save it to that list using Javascript Client Object Model. With Client Object Model, we can retrieve items of a list and check whether the information of the current
user exists in this list, then we can act accordingly;
3. According to the choice of the unregistered user, this user will be redirect to different pages to walk on the afterwards process.

User IDs in adapters - XI Proxy, RFC

Hi mates,
I've created receiver adapters of type XI and RFC for an SAP R/3 business system. In these adapter parameters, what is the ideal user ID that needs to be specified? Should it be a service user id or dialog user id? What should be the optimal authorizations for it.
At the moment, I've specified my own user id and the adapters are working successfully. But, I foresee an issue with this method as I would be required to change the password at regular intervals.
What are the best practices regd the user ids in adapters? Please share your experiences.

I would suggest the use of a user of type "Communications" and have SAP_ALL assigned....
a user of type "Service" still has dialgo access whihc i donot think you would want...
pls see the types of users and their help...
User Type
Dialog 'A'
A normal dialog user is used by one person only for all types of logon.
During a dialog logon, the system checks for expired and initial passwords and provides an option to change the password.
Multiple dialog logons are checked and logged if necessary.
System 'B'
You use a user of type System for communication without dialog within one system (for RFC or CPIC service users) or for background processing within one system.
Dialog logon is not possible.
A user of this type is excluded from the general settings for password validity. Only the user administrator can change the password using transaction SU01 (Goto -> Change Password).
Communication 'C'
You use a user of type Communication for communication without dialog between systems (for RFC or CPIC service users for various applications, for example, ALE, Workflow, TMS, CUA).
Dialog logon is not possible.
Service 'S'
A user of the type Service is a dialog user that is available to an anonymous, larger group of users. Generally, this type of user should only be assigned very restricted authorizations.
For example, service users are used for anonymous system access via an ITS service. Once an individual has been authenticated, a session that started anonymously using a service user can be continued as a personal session using a dialog user.
During logon, the system does not check for expired and initial passwords. Only the user administrator can change the password.
Multiple logon is allowed.
Reference 'L'
Like the service user, a reference user is a general user, not assigned to a particular person. You cannot log on using a reference user. The reference user is only used to assign additional authorization. Reference users are implemented to equip Internet users with identical authorizations.
On the Roles tab, you can specify a reference user for additional rights for dialog users. Generally, the application controls the allocation of reference users. You can allocate the name of the reference user using variables. The variables should begin with "$". You assign variables to reference users in transaction SU_REFUSERVARIABLE.
This assignment applies to all systems in a CUA landscape. If the assigned reference user does not exist in one of the CUA child systems, the assignment is ignored.

I need to generate a flat file with all the user IDs from an ABAP system. How can I do that? is there something available out-of-the-box or I need to develop something?
Also, is there a quick way to bering all the user IDs from R/3 into the Portal?

Goto SE16 - click on the Table contents button in the screen and execute the table.it will list out the user details - > Edit > Download-> Spreadsheet ->give the name and location for the file.

Saved logons (user ids & password) are not filling out logons

I have user ids and passwords saved but when I navigate to the site for which the user id and password are saved, the logon fields are no longer being filled.
These are valid logons which worked under older versions of Firefox.
I've looked for any settings I may have missed and have found nothing different between 4.0 and 3.6

Ok, this seems to be a long and convoluted path to do absolutely nothing.
You submit the form.
You run a servlet that gets the parameters correctly (good), creates a SimpleBean (good) and then sets this into request attribute space under the names "user" and "pass" - (why?)
You then forward to the jsp: submit.jsp.
Submit.jsp creates a new SimpleBean, and attempts to populate it with <jsp:setProperty>. You then call the issueData method on it.
Your complaint: Rows are being created in the database which have empty string values instead of the parameters you have passed.
So, why are the values blank? Where do you think these values should be coming from?
Looking at SimpleBean we find one mistake - you have mis-named your get/set methods.
To properly follow java beans standards, you should use camel-case for your methods.
Rather than getuserName() the method should be getUserName(). getpassword() should be getPassword() etc etc.
The method getUserName() defines a property "userName" for the bean.
Once that is fixed, lets go to submit.jsp. The <jsp:setProperty> statement will try and set all properties of the bean from the request parameters.
There are no request parameters "userName" or "password" so those values don't get set in the bean, therefore it uses their default value of empty string - "".
There ARE request parameters called "user" and "pass" but because they aren't properties of the bean, they get ignored.
As a result, the values are empty string, and that is exactly what gets inserted into the database.
Ways to fix this
1 - rename your parameters on your form to be "userName" and "password" to match the bean. That way the <jsp:setProperty> tag will populate them properly.
or
2 - Call issueData() method from your servlet after you have created the SimpleBean. Better in my opinion as you then don't have any scriptlet code on a JSP page.

Report that displays 'z'program,t-codes,user-ids,list of clients

Hi everyone
i have a requirement.
i need a report that displays all t-codes,all zee programs,all the user-ids,all the clients logins available and status of hotpack application i.e. ABAP,SD,FI/CO,MM and others.
i know that all t-codes are in table TSTC and user-ids in USH02, USH04, USR01, USR02, USR03.
for the rest do suggest me the tables.

the table that store all zprograms with their user id's is TRDIR.
in the selection screen if u specify the zprogram name and user id.
if u specify user id u will get the list of programs that were done by the particular user.

( not all end users) with different user names.

Issue in Shared Services with corp user IDs

Hi,
I am facing an issue with corp user IDs in Shared Services. The issue is that I am able to add corp user IDs to a group but I am not able to remove some of them from the group for some reason especially those corp user IDs that were added few weeks or months ago.
What I noticed is if I add a corp user ID today and try to remove it today itself it is letting me do it but those corp IDs that I added to the group weeks before it is not letting me remove them. I tried to push the corp user ID from right hand side to the left hand side and then saved the changes. It shows the message that the group has been modified but when I go back again and check in the group I find the user there on the right side where it shows all user members. Not sure why this is happening.
Any ideas on this? Please do share your inputs.

Well, I think I tried at both the places yet I am facing the same issue. If I add any corp user now and immediately take it off in minutes it lets me do it. But if I try to take out a user who was added to the group weeks ago it is just not letting me do it. It does give the messages that the gourp has been modified but when I come back again and look at the group its there.
Its weird and I am not sure whats going wrong. Is it some kind of a bug?

Two user IDs for the same person in SAP

Hi Experts,
The user has somehow got the Approval from the management to get Two USer ID In SAP CRM. Now requested for Access.
As per the Best Practice, One user should have only one SAP USER ID.
Since the User is a Managaer in Sales, we have assigned the Sales Business role, If he wants a Sales pro business role that can also be assigned. He has requested for Two seperate user ID in SAP.
I want to restrict him, and let the business know what would be the implications and causes.
Can some one help with the Disadvantages of having 2 user id for same user. So that we can let Business know about the implications and consequences it will create.
Please help with your view !!!!

Disadvantage.
1. Secure login for linking of SAP ID between your windows network id and SAP ID.
2. If allowed for two user ids in CRM system then he needs the same in ECC system also.
3. Trouble shooting issue in future.
Please note that, its all depend on the users justification and the requirement of the business.

Generate user Ids in ECC in specific numeric format

Hi experts,
Is it possible to create user IDs ( say 12 character numeric ID) in SAP ECC 6.0? If so, what is the tcode?
We are implementing SSO and we would be using first name and last name to identify the users in ECC and create unique accounts by letting the system generate the ID. For any new account request, the system should create increment this numeric ID and create a unique user ID in the ECC system. This ID is used only for technical purposes as the user would always use his AD account to login.
Appreciate if anyone can provide some thoughts in this area..

That would be your limit as well.

So you are using Singe-Sign-On, but need to generate the ABAP UMR record name for them.
First off: There are advantages from keeping the UID names the same, just as there are disadvantages from making them cryptic on the ABAP side because the UID name (system field sy-uname) is used in many many applications as the identifier of the creator, or whatever, of data records.
Okay, that is not scalable for huge systems. But it is still better than nothing (e.g. the first name / last name is not displayed)
If you want to go for the sequential numbered user ID option, then the most obvious way to me is to create a number range object (transaction SNRO) for draw the number from there as they are registering. It would be advisable to not activate any number buffering for the range (to avoid gaps) and you might want to ensure that user interfaces to create UIDs where the number range is not forced are protected.
Can be done, but sounds a bit messy to be honest. At least it is not the way things have been done historically in SAP. For example, how would you do a synchronization between the AD and the ABAP system? Or an audit of it? I think that you would have to always go via the mail a ddress only.
Of course, a mail box is something which is quite dear to a person... probably more so than their SAP password....

I have to correct the email addresses of each user master record present in the system .Is there a table which contains the User IDs present in the system along with their corresponding email addresses( the field mentioned as Internet Mail in the Address Tab of SU01) ?

Try this. Sorry if it's not detailed enough
1. Go to transaction SQVI.
2. In the input field Quick View give the any name for query for example Z_EMAIL_ADD.
3. Choose create option. In the resulting pop up give description in Title field. In data source choose TABLE JOIN. Select Basis mode.
4. In the next screen choose INSERT TABLE pushbutton and in the pop up give USR21. Then again choose INSERT TABLE pushbutton and this time give ADR6.
5. Now go back using back arrow or F3.
6. Now in the new screen you will be under the tab strip List fld select.. From that entries under available filed (on right hand side) select User name in user master record and the first entry for Internet mail (SMTP) address. Now using single arrow pushbutton pointing towards left move these fields to tabstrip List fld select.
7. Now go to tabstrip selection filed. As done in step 6 move User name in user master record under it.
8. Save the changes and go back. A pop up will come asking you to save quick view Z_EMAIL_ADD. Choose yes.
9. Now execute the query. In the input field you can give one user or multiple users at a given time.
This approach is easier and time saving in my opinion and gives output in desirable format.

USER LICENSE TO CREAT NEW USER IDS.

I Want to creat the 5 new user ids in production client, but the issue is client requires the new names for the alredy exsting user ids with the same authorizations and roles.
For this i am going to creat a new user ids and assign the same role and profiles and lock the existing ones. But creating new ids in production client i required to know the LICENSE details.
Please any one suggest me how to find out the required LICENSE'S are availble are not.what is the process to know the LICENSE details, is there any related sap notes to understand the LICENSE information.

In transaction SU01 in the change mode, in personalization tab page, select the row personalization for license administration by double clicking it. The edit personalization data dialog box appears.
If you can get the user license information to create new user id in transaction SU01 then try License Administration Workbench - Transaction SLAW or LICENSE_ADMIN

I kept all my site-specific user IDs and passwords in the "notes" section under Organize Bookmarks. I can't find Organize Bookmarks any more, and the Show All Bookmarks doesn't have this feature! HELP!

Many sites require me to set up an account, and all have differing requirements for user names and passwords. In the old Firefox, in the Organize Bookmarks section, when you look at any bookmarked site, there was a place at the bottom (More...) where you could write notes to yourself. I used this space to write down my username and password for that site. Since I only visit some sites annually (to renew membership, etc or pay annual dues) I can't remember the passwords or user names. PLEASE tell me I haven't lost all that information! If I've lost all those passwords and user IDs I'm royally screwed! Thanks

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

To know user ids under a responsibility

I am working on a customized application using OAF.
Now I need to know the user ids which are assigned a responsibility by administrator.
Also I know the responsibility name only. I also have to find out the responsibility id.
So for responsibility name I need to find out the responsibility id, and using it I have to find out the user ids associated to that responsibility.
Kindly let me know the table names of the system from which I can get the above.
