User Policies don't apply to just ONE system

Hi
Can somb help me out here?
I have created a user policy for all users to disable control panel and "run...". But on just
one single system they don't apply nomather what account I'm using. When I log on to anonther system with the same account they do apply.
I'm using Windows Server 2008R2 and clients are XP sp3.

On the the computer that you're having this problem, please open an elevated command prompt and type:
gpupdate /force . After that reboot your system and verify if the problem is fixed. If it's not, open again the command prompt and execute:
gpresult /h . After that search for GPresult.html and verify the GP is there but not getting applied.
I suggest you to verify if RSOP on the server side too.

Default Group Policy - Custom policies don't apply?

We have some computers in TEST OU with password lockout after 4 attempts but it doesn't work. If we disable the Default Group policy in the domain controller then it works.
With the Default Group Policy enable, we run RSOP.exe and it does show the correct policies was applied but why it still doesn't lock the user accounts after 4 attempts? There is no password lockout policy in the Default Group Policy.

Because Account policies for domain users can only be changed at the
Domain level, not at OU level. Account policies at OU level are only
applied to LOCAL accounts, not to domain accounts.
If you're running 2008 DFL, you can use FGPP and PSO.

How do I just backup just one user account on Time Machine?

Hello everyone,
I've moved to a new computer with Mountain Lion and didn't have my backup disc available when I first set up the computer. Now, after restoring from my backup, I have two user accounts that I am trying to combine as per instructions here. I know it's challenging and I may have to reinstall the OS and start from scratch, so I'd like to backup before I do it. Unfortunately I haven't plugged in Time Machine since I've used Migration Assistant, because I didn't know if I could or if it'd overwrite my old data.
How can I back up the new computer without creating two user accounts (the ones I'm trying to combine) on my external drive? And please don't recommend just buying another external hard drive. Any advice is appreciated.

Aside from starting over, losing whatever you've done on the new machine, see Pondini's Transferring files from one User Account to another. If you haven't done much and can afford to lose that data, I suggest starting over, following the steps in Pondini's Setup New Mac guide. That should result in just one user account.

How to use just one account in the domain to login to the right server having access to the right resources. Even when a user works on 4 different sites ...

We have one domain with about 36 sites. On the sites we use (2008R2 / 2012R2) RODC's .
All workstations have Windows 7.
Some users work on several sites. We want the user to just be able to use one account and the environment to see on which site the user logs in, so the right script can be loaded and the appropiate resources like data and printers are available.
We have several users working on 4 sites (different schools) doing their work fot that specific site overthere.
I want the system to see where a user logs in (can be on IP address), so we can give the users just one account that will work as it should.
I like to get some ideas or advise on how to get it done.

Use Group Policy Objects and link them to your sites as appropriate...

There are no robots here. Everyone here is a "real person", a user just like you. How about telling us what the problem is that you are experiencing when you try to buy a song? If you mean that you have forgotten your security questions, go to:

If you've forgotten your answers, there should be a link just under the security questions fields where you can have a reset email sent to your Rescue email address. If the link for the email doesn't appear, as can happen if you didn't set a rescue email address or (apparently) have a .Mac email address, see the user tip created by Kappy, another user here, on how to proceed:

We have 6 pc's that for some reason don't get user policies. Here's the
line from zmd-message.log of the workstation agent:
[1296] [ZenworksWindowsService] [56] [] [PolicyManager] []
[ApplyPolicies: Either user session is null or Device-only mode is
enabled or Zen logon module is not present; not applying user policies.]
The zone is 10.3.3, we use a user source connected to edir and the user
is getting user policies on other computers. What's this Device-only mode?

Found the problem. Our people disabled Zenworks User Authentication in
the registry.

How to apply album cover picture to all songs on cd not just one at a time?

i found agreat website with free cd covers for my songs that will show up in the corner of my ipod. but i can figure out how to apply the picture to all the songs in an alubm an dnot just one, i can only drag the picture into the box in itunes one by one.

Mobile users are not in login list, and OD settings don't apply until after login

One of my organization's users has an iMac running Lion, and it's bound to both Active Directory and Open Directory. I have his workstation's OD account in a group that is configured to create a mobile user when logging into a network account, and to display the login screen as a username and password instead of a list of users. He uses an AD user account to log in.
The first hangup is that even though OD is set to display a username and password box for the login screen, when I turn on or reboot the machine, it displays a list of users instead. If I log into one of the users, and then immediately log out, it works perfectly - I get the username and password boxes, but only after I log into the machine once. If I reboot, I end up right back at the list of users.
The second hangup is that when I get this list of users, no mobile accounts appear. This means that the mobile account associated with my client's AD account does not appear at the login screen on first boot. Moreover, the "Other..." button does not appear, either, even after a substantial time delay.
The sum result of these problems is that the only way that my client can log into his machine immediately after boot is to log in to a temporary local account I created for him, then log out and use the username and password boxes to log in to his AD account. Any suggestions?

You cannot merge apple id's. remember that before creating any new ones in the future.
You have two choices. Live with it, or repurchase the apps under the id you intend to keep using.

Just as Ivan said, we do not have the ability to change the Report Manager in this way. Because we can’t change the parameters locations as this is not supported to write expressions for the location of parameters.
While we can build a custom application in Visual Studio that we can get it through codes after deploying the report, then through URL we can get it by customization.

Spool printing takes a long time for just one user

Hello,
Could someone please guide on what could be the reason that spool printing takes a long time for just one user ?
I've monitored all the spool processes through SM50, and I've found that a very long time elapses before the printing job appears in one of the four spool processes.

can u check the trace file(Red color error) of that spool process. Also can u see if there are any system logs in SM21 related to that spool request.
Also see how many pages the user is giving print @ 1 shot. Suppose if the printer to whcih the user is giving print is a network printer, see the network response time.
Have u tried to ask the same user to give print to some other printer. Also have u asked some other user to print to that problematic printer. Check the responses under this scenario also.

If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If they've downloaded onto your iPod then you should be able to delete them from it by swiping/dragging across them from right-to-left on the Songs selection screen in the Music app
