User Property Sets / UUP -- not showing up

Hi. We are having problems getting any portal user property sets to show up in any environment other than our dev boxes. We are running 10.2. Our environment consists of our dev workstations, a dev server in 'development' mode, a stage server in 'production' mode, and a production server in 'production' mode.
On our development boxes, we see the following property sets from the portal admin:
Groupspace
CustomerProperties
BusinessUserProperties
BusinessEmployeeProperties
The latter 2 are our UUP property sets. As I said, these sets appear on our dev boxes, but from what I understand, that is expected because the EAR is exploded when published on a dev box.
Consultants developed much of this portal application for us, including the uup property sets, and they are backing away and not offering any help in this matter. They simply said to use the propegation tools. I used the propegation tool to merge my dev box inventory and our development server inventory, and the differences did indicate the 4 property sets listed above. I selected to add only those 4 property sets to the dev server, exported the merged inventory, and exported it to our dev server with no errors. However, still no property sets showed up. I then pulled down another inventory from our dev server, and it indicated that it still did not have the property sets. I repeated this cycle once more to no avail.
Things that are confusing to me are:
1) The 'Groupspace' and 'CustomerProperties' sets appear to be portal default property sets. Wouldn't they be expected to exist in all environments?
2) I thought that I read if the server you are deploying the EAR to is in 'development' mode, then the property sets should be moved over when deploying the EAR normally. I may be wrong about this as I am on information overload trying to learn these portal aspects under a time crunch.
3) Where in the portal database are the propertysets themselved defined? I can see the 'PROPERTY_KEY' and 'PROPERTY_VALUE' tables which handle storing the user properties themselves, but I don't see any tables which would define a property set.

I cannot attach a user property set within a rule set. When i create a new
rule set in the tools it doesnt give me a field to attach a User property
set to a rule set. I dont get this.
I am using WLCS 3.2, cloudscape, WL 5.1 SP 6, Win2000.

Hello Kapil,
This is a good thing. Allow me to convince you. Prior to WLCS 2.0.1 sp1,
each rule set required that a property set be associated with it. Rules in
that rule set could only use properties from that property set. You could not
write a rule that used properties from multiple property sets. Therefore, it
was impossible to combine user/group, session, and request properties in
rules. It is a good thing that you don't have to associate a property set
with the rule set anymore.

Some of the users Profile photo is not showing in sharepoint team sites

Some of the users Profile photo is not showing in the list of SharePoint team site.
In the people picker their picture is grayed out but if you click on their name it will direct you to their mysite and the picture is there.
Can some body help on this.

Try running:
stsadm -o sync -deleteolddatabases 0
Then, run the timer job named similar to "User Profile Service Application - User Profile to SharePoint Full Synchronization". Wait for it to complete, then re-check the profile photo on the SharePoint site.

Dynamic rooting (User Record) setting is not working in Nakisa OrgChart SP3

The Dynamic rooting setting is not working in the Nakisa OrgChart SP3.
It is giving an error message - "Cannot find the root of your orgchart. The orgchart box may have been deleted or incorrectly specified, or no valid org structure can be found for the selected effective date. Please change the root of the chart or select another effective date."
We followed the same steps as given in the Admin guide of SP3 (P.no. 109 - shown below)
In Orgchart --> General Settings:
* Select the Org chart root value source.
User Record: Retrieves the record specified in the next step from the employee data element.
*Do one of the following to define the org chart root:
If User Record was selected in the previous step, select the field containing the ID of the required organizational object in the employee data element from the User record field drop-down list. For example, if you wish to root the org chart at the org unit of the logged-in user, select the field containing the org unit ID. Hence, we have selected the Org unit ID.
Note:
We had enabled single sign-on with logon tickets
Retained the standard settings in Security Settings --> Employee Source
Had provided full authorization to the roles
If we use the "OrgChart Root" option available in 'Orgchart root value source', the org structure gets displayed correctly from the root object defined.
As this is an standard functionality, Kindly guide us in resolving the issue.

Ravindra.
You don't have to and shouldn't always include the username and password parameters for the SAP Connection string. When you omit them it will use the user's login credentials.
Remember though that:
The SAPRoleMappingConnection will need them included in order to get the details for the user in the first place.
Without the username and password specified in a connection string you can't click the option to test the connection and result in a successful connection. Remember unable to connect does not necessarily equate to wrongly configured.
I've filtered the log file for errors and the following entries were flagged up:

At the very least it looks like SAPPositionVacancyDataElement is missing and whilst the other errors around it are unfamiliar I wonder if it might be a good first step to see if you can track down the reference to and existence of this data element? That being said it looks like your last test occurred well over an hour after this (so you may have already resolved it) and resulted in nothing but information messages. If that is the case it might be worth "rolling" your log file or manually trimming it to the right time frame when posting it? Otherwise it can be misleading as people could flag up issues you have already resolved.
So assuming you haven't tried Luke's suggestion (which should only take a couple of minutes to do) I think you should go back and do so right away .

Kicking a user out of the portal if a User Info Setting is not populated?

That's what we want to do - we have a bit set in a User Info Setting by a custom profiling process. Users are redirected back to the Login screen of the portal when they successfully complete the process and the bit gets set to a certain value. This is kicked off in our OnAfterLogin (Login PEI). Well, if a user just goes up to the address bar in the browser and deletes up to "server.pt", they can get to the portal without this custom process being completed - they can circumvent it, because they technically have already logged in. The problem is that if they don'tcomplete that process, many portlets will not work because they are dependent on data gathered and set as a result of successful completion.
So, we need to somehow check globally if a certain User Info Setting is populated, and if it is not, log the user out. We know the URL/AS to redirect to, but I don't see a PEI in which a redirect is returned other than those in the Login PEI and Directory Actions PEI. I was hoping the IPageActions interface might help... So, I'm guessing a PEI is not the answer. What would be the best way to approach this?

How about having your header or footer portlets check for you?
Or when you setup a user, only give them access to one portlet. The portlet would allow them to update their information, then give them access to the remaining features of the site.

Data roaming setting does not show up on iPhone 4S

My wife got a new iPhone 4S from Verizon a few weeks and and she's been using it with no probolems since then. Yesterday we crossed the board into Canada and I tried to turn "Data Roaming" off on her phone but the "Data Roaming" setting does not exist in Settings->General->Network. On my Verizon iPhoen 4S it has the optios "Voice Roaming" and "Data Roaming" but on hers only "Voice Roaming".
I was able to turn off all cellular data but that's actually inconvenient because we're right on the border and often go in an out of US cell converage areas, so with data roaming off it lets me use data whenever there's a US cell signal and otherwise prevents me from using data on a Canadian signal, but with all cellular data off, you have to constantly be toggling the setting when you think you go from a cell tower in the Canada to one in the US.
Does anybody have any idea why the "Data Roaming" setting does not exist on her phone yet it does on mine? Both phones are running iOS 5.0.1.

On your wife's phone: Dial *228. When prompted, select 2 to update her roaming capabilities. When complete, you will hear a confirmation message. In about a minute, you will also see an alert that your service update is complete. See if doing that fixes things.

Property inspector is not showing anything.....

i hav installed jdev in my computer but propert inspector is not showing up anything in the ide.......please help me out of this problem.

Did you reposition it to the bottom part of the IDE (instead of right, by default)? And make sure you select something that has properties (which you probably did). :)

Exchange 2010 SP1 Delegate user "Sent on Behalf" not showing in emails

I am trying to set up a user to be a delegate to another users account so that they can answer email messages while the other user is away. When I add them as a delegate either through exchange (Delivery Options -> send on behalf -> grant this
permission to:) or with outlook, the user is able to send and reply to emails sent to the other user, but it looks like the Actual user is sending the email. It is not adding the Sent on behalf of text to the FROM line.
I cannot seem to find a way to enable this text to be added to the emails. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Based on your description, I understand that you have a delegate and the delegate can send email as your mailbox, but you just grant him send on behalf permission, am I right? If I misunderstand your
concern, pleas feel free to correct me.
First, please run the command Get-Mailbox -Identity your name |Select-Object GrantSendOnbehalfTo, and check whether your delegate will be listed.
And then, run the command Get-Adpermission -Identity you name -user your delegate |fl and check output.
At last, please make sure that when your delegate send or reply a email, he choose from filed. In Outlook, by default, it will send or reply email by the mailbox owner.

User-Defined Alphanumeric field not showing in Crystal Cross-Tab Reports

We are facing the given below issue in crystal reports :
In Crystal Cross-tab reports User defined fields with alphanumeric datatype are not displaying where as User defined Fields created with Numeric datatype are displayed and SAP fields for eg; Item name which are AlphaNumeric datatype are showing up.Can any body help us on this?

User Stat Summary Reports not showing everyting

I use RoboHelpx5 with ROboEngine / no source control.
When you pull user Stat Reports there is a graph at the top
showing a summary. They worked fine since Sept 2005. We had to
build a new engine on new servers (we got bought by a big company)
and had to migrate to their servers. Now, poof, the summary graph
is gone and I need it back for a big presentation.
My server guy has tried multiple things but is getting
inconsistent results.
By the way, how do you get a Junion Member/Sr Member Status?
I've been on here since 2005 and just noticed it.

The inconsistencies occurring are when he is trying different
things to fix the issue. So, for example, if he replaces the image
it works sometimes and sometimes it does not.
We thought there might be a permissions issue somewhere. Any
ideas?

LDAP inport setting could not show

I had tested Appliance 1.0.1 , it LDAP setting work fine...Who has similar issue like me when testing 1.1 version?

Before I boot up it , I has take a snapshot first. so when I get my issue , I revert to snapshot to verify.
when I re-perform initial setting again..Appliance could show "LDAP Import" function fine.

Paragraph setting does not show paragraph

I am new to CS4 but in the past (CS3) when I set paragraph at the extreme left of the control panel it would show me my paragraph style. (See Screen shot) In CS4 it shows font type and size. Is this normal for CS4? Or have I a problem?

On the far right of the toolbar you have a more options drop down menu . Under here you have customize/Paragraphs. Have a look to see if Styles are checked.

Custom property values does not show in XML forms!

Hi All
I have created a property in the portal which has multiple values, I have added these values in the 'Allowed Values' section. Then in my XML form I reference this property in a combo box. I have restarted the j2EE engine and opened the form and the properties are not displayed in the combo box it is blank!
Does anyone know why?

Why some ringtones show up in my Ringtone setting but not show up in Text Tone and all other Sounds setting?

i have 28 ringtones in my iTune library. in my iphone Sound and Vibration Patterns, 28 ringtones show up in Ringtone options.However in all other options, only some of 28 ringtones show up in the setting option. How can I have every ringtones in my iTune library availalbe for Text Tone?
