User rights needed to connect Zen X

My son just purchased the Zen XTRA 40GB. I installed the software & everything worked perfectly for me. When my son tried to access the player under his account (regular user), the Media Organizer crashes. He also gets a message stating that there was an error in trying to make the connection with Nomad Explorer.
If I add him to the administrator group, everything works perfectly.
My question is, how do I get everthing to work for his account without giving him administrator rights?
I've gone so far as to give him full access rights to the Creative directory, and each of the files listed as drivers.
Thanks

VAP: Make sure you have the latest versions from Nomadworld.com downloads. It also saves data to the directory Application Data\Creative\Media Database in the user account folder, and sometimes this data can get corrupted. Hence it's worth deleting the entire contents of this folder to see if it hel

  • Enable User Rights using Adobe Acrobat Professional 7

I created an editable PDF form using LifeCycle Designer 7.0.  My goal is to have users fill out the form and email the actual filled out form not the XML code. I added a regualr button with the following java script.
    event.target.submitForm({cURL:"mailto:[email protected]?subject=Submitted Form&body=Please find attached the completed form.",cSubmitAs:"PDF",cCharset:"utf-8"});
    Show = Click
    Language = JavaScript
    Run At = Client
When I test the button in Adobe Professional or in LifeCycle the button works fine.  However when I open the file in Reader 9, it does not work.  I do not encuonter any error messages.  Nothing happens when you click on the button.  I thought that users rights need to be enabled in order for it to work.  Unfortunately I do not see how to do this Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.  I do not have Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.  Any ideas on what I can do to correct this issue?

For Reader users and AA7, your only choice is to have the XML file submitted. Then simply open the form in Acrobat and import the XML data file to fill the form. This will be exactly what the user saw when they submitted it. Thus there is no need to submit the entire form.

  • What User authorization objects needed for connecting to SAP from xMII?

We eneter a SAP user and password for connecting to SAP from xMII to retrieve the metadata of the incoming IDocs.
When I specify a user with SAP_ALL user profiles, the IDocs are received properly in xMII. If I specify a user with privileges to run only certain transactions, IDocs are not received in xMII.
What user authorization objects are needed for this user to connect to SAP from xMII?
    Thanks,

    Sam,
I turned on the SAP System trace for this user and figured out the following auth. objects are required for receiving IDocs in xMII:
    C_TCLA_BKA
    S_RFC
    S_CTS_ADMI
    B_ALE_MAST
    S_IDOCDEFT

I'd love your advice/guidance!!  I need to embed (not link) videos in a Powerpoint doc so that anyone (mostly PC users)can open and use from a jumpdrive without needing internet connection. I was considering using keynote and exporting as a PPT.
Or is there a way to do this in a newer version of Powerpoint? (i'd rather stick with keynote) what would that be the best option?
Any Instructions/tips on how to accomplish this? Thank you in advance for taking the time!

  • User rights assignment

    Hi All
i have a small domain environment where 40 clients are connected to 2008 server.
some clients needs to run specific software for which they needs administrative rights and password. but i dont want to give them administrator password. please any one can let me know how to keep them in a separate group and assign them the rights so they
can run specific program on server without knowing admin password,
please help me with proper steps.
    thanks

    Hi ikrambuneri,
Based on your description, I have an idea .But I won`t guarantee it will work .
We can use the AccessChk tool with parameter "/f /p"to check the token information and privilages information of this specific software process .Then we can create a group and authority the realted privilages to this group from the group policy .
    Group policy \Computer Configurations\Windows Settings \Security Settings \Local Policies\User Rights Assignment
    AccessChk v5.21
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb664922.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
As a work around ,you can create a shortcut with "Runas" command line for the user .Here is a link for reference of doing this .
Please note that this method will ask for the administrator password for the first time to run the software short cut and it will save the administrator privilages and this may result in security issue .We don`t recommend to do this.

    Hi Jdentremont,
Lync client gets user photos by first querying the Address Book Web Query (ABWQ) service on the server, which is exposed through the Distribution List Expansion web service. The client receives
the image file and then copies it to the user's cache to avoid downloading the image each time it needs to be displayed. The attribute values returned from the query are also stored in the cached Address Book Service entry for the user. The Address Book Service
deletes all cached images every 24 hours, which means that it can take up to 24 hours for new user images to be updated in the cache on the server.
To troubleshoot your problem, please follow the steps below:
    1.  Navigate to
     “X:\share\1-WebServices-1\ABfiles\000000000\000000000” folder. (ABS file share)
You should see some photo files in this folder as the following screenshot.
    2. Delete all the files in this folder.
    3. On test PC, delete local cache files.
    %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\[email protected]
    4. Sign-in Lync with the test account.
    5. Go back to the ABS file share, check if there is any Photo file in the folder.
    Best regards,
    Eric

  • What do i need to connect my mac book pro to the tv with the thunderbolt on the mac to hdmi? I have the newest macbook pro. I'm wanting to have the best picture I can get from my 1080p tv. thanks

what do i need to connect my mac book pro to the tv with the mac's thunderbolt port to hdmi? I have the newest macbook pro. I'm wanting to have the best picture I can get from my 1080p tv. thanks

Thanks Community! I solved the problem. In fact it was not a problem but lack of understanding. These guys at Apple are way ahead in thir thinking. I will try to explain as short as I can.
In Lion, ihe Prefferences/Display show only two choices: 6-7 steps of resolution and some color tab. No two screens, no two display to overlap, nothing for us to do. "That was the problem"! Everything is automatic.
When I connected the HDMI cable to the Miniport into a T-bolt slot, the TV screen showed the "spiral galaxy" how Zyriab is calling it. In fact he gave me the best clue. That shows the connection is good. But where is the Mac Book image?
You have to drag it to the right out of the Mac Book display area, and "voila!" it will continue on the TV screen. The same with the mouse pointer, push it out ofthe Mac Book display area and you see it on the TV sreen. Good image, you can keep the max resolution, etc. The sound is still on the Book's speakers. I have to figure that out.
Thank everybody, especialy Zyriab, ne was the closest.
    High regards to everybody

  • What Cable Do I Need To Connect My MacBook With a Cinema Display?

    Hi,
I have got a 23" old HD Cinema Display. It is the one with the transparent plastic around the outside. I have a 13" MacBook, Oct 2008 then discontinued, the one that looks like a MacBook Pro, and I would like to connect the laptop to the display. Which cable would I need to connect the two?
The cable coming off the cinema display has three lines on ten metal dots on the right, and a line, with two dots above and below it, on the left. On the Macbook I have got a mini dvi port.
    Thanks,

The first problem is that the 23 inch display with oval ADC connector has no power supply. You will need something like the Apple DVI-to-ADC converter, which contains the power supply to generate the 28 Volt power at up to 4 Amps needed to run the display. This will convert your display to a DVI display with a power supply "brick" in the cable. These converter/power units are readily available on the used market and have an AC power cord.
If your MacBook is an Aluminum body, it has a Mini DisplayPort. [Older models had a Mini DVI, where the center partition was folded into a C-shape.] Mini DisplayPort can be forced into "Single-Link DVD compatibility mode" with an inexpensive adapter. This solution works for DVI displays up through 1920 wide, beyond which you need the much more expensive Dual-Link converter. {If your had the Mini DVI, that is also a simple adapter.]

  • What cable do I need to connect to my stereo reciever ?

What specific cable do I need to connect my Mac Pro to my 90's Denon Stereo reciever ? The back of my Mac Pro has an optical port.
Any links to specific cables would be really helpful; if possible.
The back of my reciver looks like this.
    http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1064/1459892500_761b91f5c5.jpg?v=0
I've got 4 speakers connected thru my reciever and would like to use my new computer to watch DVD's in stereo.

The easy thing is, the way you connect your Mac Pro to that receiver hasn't changed since the 90s either. As Thomas said, any old 1/8" stereo plug for the Mac Pro end, combined with a simple pair of RCA plugs on the receiver end. I got mine at Radio Shack years and years ago, but monoprice.com is an excellent and cheap online source if you order enough stuff to make the shipping fee worth it.
You can either get one cable with the right plugs on each end, or sometimes it's easier to get a cable and an adapter on one end. Either way it should be super cheap.
I've still got an 80s Denon connected to the old Mac in my living room...

  • Please can someone tell me what cable I need to connect my Macbook Pro 15'' Retina display to a Yamakasi Catleap Monitor?

    Hi all,
I have a Macbook Pro 15'' Retina and I'm thinking of getting a Yamaksai Catleap Monitor, please can someone tell me the best way to connect this? Do I need a thunderbolt to DVI connector, or Thunderbolt to VGA? Im assuning the former would be superior! Please can someone advise?
    Thanks very much in advance,
    Cheers,
    Guy

    Hello,
Some UK links... You can use any of the following to get the video signal out of the iMac and into a standard format:
    Mini DVI - DVI
    Mini DVI - VGA
    Mini DVI - Composite/S-Video.
The DVI will give you best quality, but VGA will be simpler. The DVI to HDMI connector is:
Buy a DVI to HDMI connector (link). Long HDMI cables are pretty expensive though.
Although HDMI can handle sound as neither DVI, MiniDVI nor VGA do you'll need to connect the sound separately. Simply connect the sound out on the iMac to the input on the TV using a cable like this:
    3.5mm to RCA.
If you use the miniDVI to VGA connector here's a long VGA cable (link).
All Macs since about 1999 have had +DVD Player+ installed. I'm not at my Mac right now to check Front Row in Leopard but Front Row in Tiger certainly played DVDs (but +DVD Player+ is a better, more flexible DVD Player).
    cheers

  • How to give a user rights to create tables etc

I have 2 users for my database 'pmi'
First user is 'sys' which connects as 'SYSDBA'
Second user is 'user1' which connects as 'Normal'
I see that with the user 'sys' I am able to create a table in the database. Also insert row, read it, delete it and drop table.
But with 'user1' I am unable to do any of the operations above. If I try to create a table it gives an error saying 'ORA-01031: insufficient privileges'
when I login to the Enterprise Manager webpage using the 'sys' login as SYSDBA, I see that in 'Administration' tab-> Users & Privileges->Users->SYS->System Privileges, it has the system privilages like create table, with Admin Option set to 'Y'
But when I check for 'user1' in the 'sys' login only, I see that there is only one system privilege, 'SELECT ANY DICTIONARY' which is set to 'Y'.
How do I give rights to 'user1' so that it can use the create, insert, select, delete and drop API(s).
    Please help, it is urgent.

The obvious reason why you not able to create table and other operations because of user1 does not have the appropriate privilages to do so.so grant
user1 appropriate privilages so that, he can perform basic operations against your database.
the below given command will get this for you.
    sql > grant select any table to user1;
    sql > grant create any table to user1 ;
    sql > grant delete table to user1 ;

  • Windows user can no longer connect to my File Sharing IP address

    Hello,
Since updating to OS X 10.4.9, Windows users can no longer connect to my file sharing IP address.
I have had no problems when I was using 10.4.8, and I have re-checked both the Windows computer and my Mac to make sure that the file sharing connection should be possible.
I think this may be some sort of firewall / security issue (?) in that the 10.4.9 update has downloaded something which now "hides" my Mac at this IP address. I am unsure how to resolve this problem.
Does anyone have a suggestion? Much obliged, in advance.

Can the Mac connect to the PC?
Have you checked the Workgroup is the same on the Mac
    in Directory Access>CIS/SMB?
Have you tried turning off the Firewall for a test?
    Has the IP changed?
    Hello!
Thank you for the suggestive questions above. I haven't "tested" any of them because I simply became exasperated with the "change" in 10.4.9 and went back to system 10.4.8
Of course, now everything is right with the world and I can once again have my Windows computer connect to my Mac.
Thank you for taking the time in trying to help me -- much obliged.
