User Segments
I am trying to run a user segment but I am not able to do that.I have performed following steps:
-->created a user segment
-->Added a condition to it (if it is current date then show it, very simple)
-->generated portlet out of it and placed this portlet onto the portal.
-->When I am running this portal , getting the following exception:
Error opening /portlet/testUserSegment.jsp.

The following document describes about how datasync data is deployed in various scenarios.
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13218_01/wlp/docs100/prodOps/preparing.html#wp1029497
Assuming you are making use of workshop for creating the user segment and deploying to a single server which is in development mode, I would recommend you check if you have hit any OOM issues on the server or not, and try restarting the server, and redeploying your app. Generally this should resolve the issue.
If the server to which you are deploying is running in production mode / deploying as an EAR then the above referred doc will guide you on the next steps.

ATG 10.1 How we can create user segment programitically
Hi,
I want to create user segment programitically, not through BCC.
Rule for the segment I will be getting from some third party. I have to create rule for my segment programitically and assign the user segment to a profile group.
I checked the user properties and got to know as for every profile user segments will be assigned as a dynamic property.
How I can create the same programitically after getting the rule from third party.
Thanks in advance

Is that one of the pages on your site? Do you just want to
add a feature that searches your site for relevant content? If so,
check out

So I don't understand why you are asking about a database -
are you trying generate results that link to other sites? -
User Segment with pz:div Tag
I'm trying to create a user segment with condition "Invoke an instance method"
User segment Testrule1 reads
++++++++++++++++++++
Invoke the method tesmethod on the testBoolean variable
of type java.lang.Boolean
with arguments;
-true
My class
++++++
package test;
public class TestClass {
//java.lang.Boolean testBoolean = true;
java.lang.Boolean testmethod (java.lang.Boolean testBoolean) {
System.out.println("test method invoked");
return new java.lang.Boolean(true);
my test.jsp
+++++++++
<pz:div rule="Testrule1" id="testid">
Name is Bond, James Bond
</pz:div>
I hopefully this logic would work but it doesnt. Can you someone help me understand where I'm going wrong?
Thanks,For Invoke an Instance Method to work, your rule (i.e. the user segment) needs to have an instance of that object add to it's working memory when the rule is executed. With user segments and content selectors, there's a fixed set of objects automatically asserted (ProfileWrapper, Request, Session, and TimeInstant).
The Invoke an Instance Method clause is primarily designed to be used in a campaign (in conjunction with the Add a New Object Instance and Bind a Variable clauses), or with custom .rls rule set files (see http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15919_01/wlp.1032/e14238/rules.htm#i1009068).

Custom web part in SharePoint Online for "User segments"
Hi Experts,
I was refferd here from the SharePoine Online community. http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/148/p/278071/851153.aspx
I was following this article to implement user segment in SharePoint Online http://blogs.msdn.com/b/adaptive_experiences_in_sharepoint_2013/archive/2012/11/14/set-up-user-segmentation-to-drive-adaptive-experiences-in-a-product-catalog-in-sharepoint-2013.aspx
However, this seems to require a custom web part to be build and deployed in SharePoint Online.
Anyone has made user segment work in SharePoint Online? Anyone has done this custom web part before?
Thank you,
Aswath NSBy default the Site Users web part shows all the users and groups who have been give direct permission to the site. That would not include anyone who was given permission by being added to a group. You can modify the web part settings to show
a list of people in the Members group of the site or any other specific group. But there is no setting to show all the users who have access.

Chinmaya.Hi
Check with your BASIS guy if authorization object is available for the field SEGMENT... There are some issues yet with this because it is not available in some T codes
If the same is not available, you can ask your ABAPer to create a Z authorization object for this field and write a small ABAP code in the exit RGGBR000 (FI validation)
Sample code is attached below to check auth for Plant in Internal order...ZCO_INTPORD was the Z auth object created...
CHECK i_aufk-bukrs IS NOT INITIAL.
CHECK i_aufk-werks IS NOT INITIAL.
AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'ZCO_INTORD'
ID 'BUKRS' FIELD i_aufk-bukrs
ID 'WERKS' FIELD i_aufk-werks
ID 'ACTVT' DUMMY.
IF sy-subrc = 4.
MESSAGE e398(00) WITH 'You do not have sufficent Authorization'.
ENDIF.

User exit for incoming PO - (PO is created by CIFing TLB order to R/3)
Hi All,
I need to find out the APO INBOUND user exit for reciving the PO information from the connected R/3 system. Initially a TLB order is created in APO and CIFed to APO and after the PO is created in connected R/3 system this PO number and related information is CIFed back to APO and this TLB order is replaced by the R/3 PO number.
Please help me outto gain full points.

User Exits for Inbound Process
hi all
can any one please give some example user exits in inbound process and explain the omportance of user exits
Thank you,
Swapnahi
Userxits allow us to add our own functionality to SAP standard program
without modifying it . These are implemented in the form of subroutines and hence are also known as FORM EXITs. The userexits are generally collected in includes and attached to the standard program by the SAP.
Types of User exits
1. Menu Exits
2.Function exits
3.Table exits
4.Screen exits
5.Keyword exits
6.Field exits.
also refer to the links below.. can get more info on user exits

can also get the list of user exits thru..

Is Segment Advisor Inaccurate?
Based on a few tests I've been running, I haven't been able to reproduce space savings that Segment Advisor reports. For example, the top segment in terms of space reclamation that Segement Advisor lists has *1019.16MB* of reclaimable space. When I execute the commands:
alter table <owner>.<table_name> enable row movement;
alter table <owner>.<table_name> shrink space;
... the space savings listed in the tablespace before and after are only a difference of *138MB*.
Why the difference? This has occurred for every segment that I have executed the statements above for; the space savings are considerably less than Segment Advisor claims.
Anybody else experiencing this?I've experienced something similar with the versions I use: 10.2.0.1 and 10.2.0.4 (linux 32 bits). I've found that executing "alter table ... shrink space" twice finally releases the space.

Segmentation with Native Language
Gurus - I have never worked with non-english set up...Native Language will be rolled out in our landscape and I am trying to understand the impact on segmentation...So quickly, here's a question:
Will I be able to create Target group when the combination of below happens:
1. I am logged in as a Chinese User and my language is obviously, Chinese...
2. I am trying to create a target group for certain marketing attribute and region say Shangai and some other local regions there..
3. If I use Specific Street Address ??
My assumptions:
1. Since I logged in as a Chinese user, I will see/enter texts in Chinese...
2. So for entring specific street address or native language content on the BP filter, I think I will be making a Chinese entry...right??
Not sure if I've spelled out my question correctly or not...but am little bit unclear of how it will happen...My gut feel is that if a customer has his details entered in local language, users segmenting on that using the language should be able to fetch it...so if I would segment on address details using English, I shall get all BP's that have address maintained in English...Likewise, Chinese..means, only BPs that have maintained address in Chinese...
Please do comment and I'll welcome all with points...!!!
Thanks
NikhilYou need to have the Turkish character font you are using in your template, available on the server. You need to use the font manager to load it into the EBS instance.

Deallocating the Clob Segments
Hi,
We have an application which has many tables with CLOB columns. There are some historical tables which has to be purged on a regular basis to keep the DB size as minimal as possible. Now When I Query the user Segments , I find lot of LOB segments taking more space. Is there anyway through which we can relate these LOB_SEGMENTS to their respective tables and columns ?.query ALL_LOBS
