User un-friendly prompt when connection busy

Hello,
I've been using SQL Developer since it's "Raptor" days and I love it. I think you've done a great job weaning away SQL*Plus users and also those who use other great tools like Toad, SQL Navigator etc.
I recently noticed a prompt pop-up that I thought was confusing and hence I'm reporting it here. If this is not the right place to report these types of issues, please guide me.
When you run a pl/sql script and it's taking some time to execute, if you try to open a new sql worksheet tab, it gives you a pop-up like this:
Connection currently busy. Try again? |

[Try Again] [Abort] |
If you click 'try again', it tries again to open the sql worksheet and if you click 'Abort', it closes the popup window. I just feel that the buttons are not user-friendly, especially the word 'Abort'. I was afraid that if I clicked 'Abort', it would stop my existing ongoing pl/sql transaction. Would using 'OK' and 'Cancel' instead of 'Try again' and 'Abort' be a better option? Let me know what you think.

Most things can now (2.1) run in parallel (they actually get queued up). Connection-Busy-Abort-Retry dialog has been removed from most places.
But not all. There are some features / use-cases where the operation cannot be performed in background. At those places you'll still this dialog.

Multiple logon prompts when connecting to either server console session or RDS farm

All,
Since last Sunday when installing updates users are being asked to login multiple times.
This affects both admins connecting to the console session of members servers and users connecting to RDSH boxes
If i run 'mstsc /v:servername /admin' i'm prompted to enter my credentials. Normally this will log me right in and i'll land on the desktop. Now, i'm getting the main login screen on the server and having to enter credentials again.
All servers are 2008 R2 SP1.
Clients are a mixture of XP SP3 and Win7 SP1.
All servers are in the same member server OU and recieve the same GPO.
The problem only affects approx 50% of servers despite all boxes recieving the same policies and having the same updates installed.
Like i said, this started to occur after we installed updates on all boxes last Sunday. The updates installed were KB2533552 & KB2534366. I've uninstalled KB2534366 but KB2533552 doesnt support removal.
There are no errors in any event logs on any machines.
Is anybody else having issues with recent updates or ideas how to fix as i'm really at a loss now.

Did you enable “Always prompt for password ” in the RD session host or GPO?
If you do, please uncheck this option by the following steps:
1.
Start>programs>Administrative Tools>Terminal Services> Terminal services Configuration) >right click on the RDP-TCP go to Properties>Log
on settings tab> Uncheck always prompt for password.
2.
Computer/Administrator Templates/Windows Components/Remote Desktop services/Remotedesktop session Host/security/allways prompt for password upon

Restore prompt when connecting ipod to computer

I'm getting a prompt to restore my ipod after I connect it to my computer. I recently purchased the ipod and downloaded the latest version of itunes (less than 2 weeks), everything worked fine and I was able to download most of my library to itunes and sync it with my ipod. I went to reconnect my ipod after uploading some songs to itunes and rec'd the message. Can anyone tell me why this message would suddenly appear? How do I resolve the issue without actually restoring my ipod? Has anyone had a similar situation that they were able to resolve? Any help is appreciated.

I am getting the error as " User not found " when i am connecting to MDM server from the code written in NWDS.
If i make that user as admin in usermapping in MDM den it works fine bt if that user is not admin den get the error as user not found.

Computer Name changes at Terminal prompt when connected to network

When I connect to the network at my client my terminal prompt changes from:
MyComputer:~ john$
to:
companynetwork:~ john$
I don't log in to their network, I just connect to LAN and get an IP address assigned by DHCP.
What gives?
Disclaimer: I'm a recent convert from MS so you'll have to explain things to me as if I was a 5 year old.

Windows Security user name/password prompt when trying to remote access personal cloud storage device

I have 2TB WD Book Live drive setup at home and is working fine, including remote accessing by internet. However using a colleague's computer at the office recently, her computer would always prompt me for Windows Security username and password. I've tried
keying her admin user name/password and well as the router's admin/admin combinations and still doesn't allow me to access the cloud drive properly. However I have had no problem accessing the same drive remotely using other colleagues computers.
The exact message prompt as follows: Windows Security. The server 192.168.1.1 is asking for your user name and password. The server reports that it is from index.htm. WARNING: Your user name and password will be sent using basic authentication on
a connection that isn't secure.
Please help me understand the problem and its solution. Thank you.

The IP address 192.168.1.1 is your Router server address, isn't it? I doubt there should some limition in your colleague's system. Please check it. Also you can try to disable security software for test to access your cloud.
The problem isn't your cloud server Authorization.

Wireless users getting ACL errors when no ACL is in place

We have around a hundred users, many using Powerbooks and MacBook Pros via a third-party wireless. Recently, a few users are reporting errors when connecting saying that they are not on the Access Control List, but we don't use one. I think these users may have updated to the Airport Extreme Update 2007-001, but that is the only possibly similarity I can find. Any ideas?

The iPod shows no music on it yet 41GB of data is on it under "About" on the iPOD itself. It would appear that the music files are still there. I don't want to reset the iPod as it will mean reloading a significant amount of music i.e. my entire CD collection. Any suggestions? Has my iPod died?

That is correct. A restore wipes all content from the device, resets all settings back to their defaults, and loads a fresh copy of the iPod's software onto the device.
See this excellent user tip from another forum member turingtest2 outlining the different methods and software available to help you copy content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.

After all the music is safely in iTunes again, go ahead and restore the iPod to factory settings as it says.

I have created a report which is using AS/400 db2 database.Connection is setup in a universe and through Client Access ODBC driver.
Users are trying to connect AS/400 db2 system through ODBC(Client Access ODBC driver) and full client BO 6.5.
It asks for signon to AS/400 prompt for USER ID and PASSWORD when BO report is refreshed by users.
Is there any way i can avoid the USER ID and PASSWORD as it is not feasible to give database USER ID and PASSWORD to each users.

Getting a "key" prompt when booting up in single user mode!!

I bought my used macbook pro about a week ago without the original cd's and manuals. I installed the boot camp package but rebooted without creating the drivers disk to do this later. When my macbook boots up now it passes the apple icon with the twirling round arrow, then it stays at the Mac OS X box forever. How do I fix this without the tiger CD.
I have tried booting up in single user mode and it takes me to a "key" prompt. Anything i type does not come up. I read the troubleshooting and it sayd that it should through me to a # sign instead so i can perform a "fsck --y" funtion.
Please help restore my Macbook!!

I waited 15min at the key prompt when booting in single user mode and it unlocked the command prompt.
I guess it's some sort of security feature for the root.

Error when connecting more than 50 users ??

I use database 8iEE & form server (9ias rel1) on different box to deploy form on the web
the error occur when user connect more than 50, but it's ok when connect to database using sqlplus
Is there someone has the same experience ?

I think this problem has been addressed and answered in this forum time and again …

Hi,
In AAS, under HBR node, right click Administration and refresh user list.
You could also try to refresh the security from shared services.
