Username and password do not match
I can no longer authenticate. I get "Username and password do not match".
Is there a file I can edit to reset the username and password?

We should take a look at the log files to see what's really going on but if you haven't done anything with the installation yet then "reinstalling" is very easy.
In the directory where you launched the jar file, you should find a directory named "crx-quickstart". Simply rename this directory to "crx-quickstart.old" and restart the jar file. Your new environment will be ready in a couple of minutes. Keep the old directory and look into the [your directory]\crx-quickstart\logs directory for details on your original problem.

I have tried EVERYTHING (well, nt everything, I don’t have the fix I suppose).
I found plenty out there and nothing directly correlates with this issue.
I searched on all parts of the errors I got.
This contains an interesting blurb about setting up access for the apppool id correctly.
That’s not the case for me. It works in dev and the same id are used there.

You say its a multiserver farm, do you have more than one web server then?
If thats the case, have you tried accessing the site on each server directly?

MMy wife had bought an iPad from a friend. My wife already has an iPhone, which is registered to iCloud. She cannot acces iCloud from the new iPad. It says her username and password is not authorised. What do we need to do.

The device is not authorized to the Apple ID.
Continue setup for the ID on the device.
There is an account issue
Is she able to get signed in at

and manage the account
Can she get signed in at

I am running into a situation where username and password do not get applied to WS Invocations in PS3 project I am deploying using config plan, this is used to work correctly in PS2. Did the syntax for the deployment configuration plans for PS3 BPM have changed?
This is the error that I am getting from the BPM soa_server.log file:

I enabled ws logging for incoming and outgoing P6 web service requests, I see that the BPM server is not making an outgoing webservice call, looking more into the log file from soa_server.log I see that the exception is a PolicyEnforcementException confirming my suspicion that the username and password from the deployment config plan are not getting applied at runtime. This is used to work correctly in PS2. Any suggestions?

I am trying to connect to my uni wifi, and when i click on the wifi, it directs me to a log in page. However, the two boxes to enter the username and password do not appear. Can anyone help me with this???
You didn't say what you have already tried, but if you haven't already done so, power-cycle your router (unplug it for 15 seconds then plug it back in), then on your phone go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Reset Network Settings, then try joining your wifi again.

Directory Utility keeps telling me the name and password do not match
Installed Leopard Server on my Mini a few days ago, and I enabled Open Directory server.
Added the server in my home network with directory utility on my laptop, and it works perfect both when I'm on the local network, and when I'm elsewhere.
Tried doing the same at my Leopard iMac at work today. Finds the server just fine, but when trying to configure my machine locally I get an error message during Authentication that simply says "The name and password you entered for the user account on the server do not match".
Now. I KNOW the username and password is correct. And I have the same username and password on this machine (both the long name, and the short one).
So what am I doing wrong here?Christian,
I've experienced similar issue recently. The most likely solution will be to delete the user and recreate it using same uid and username. I'm going to look for other solutions prior to that. -

I have done what you asked for, disabled Avira and started Skype.
However, I had again exactly the same problem: My login details were not recognized.
Two comments:
1) Different to what you described, I did not have a single box where I could (Un)Active Avira.
Instead, I have three options for (un)activating: (a) Real time scanner, (b) eMail protection, (c) browser protection. (I have translated these words from my German version of Avira, and I hope the translation into English is adequate here.) For doing the test that you wanted me to do, I have unactivated ALL three possibilities, but my login details were still not recognized
2) What do you thing about the issue about changing the hard disk drive ID?

However, I do not know, whether I would cause any instabilities in my computer when I change the HDD ID.

I'm using the localiced german version of FCP, so I'm not sure which are the correct words in the dialog boxes.
When I try to share to mobileme with the option "visible for everyone or only for me" everything is okay, but when I wont to share to a specific person using the last option in the dropdown-menu "Names and Passwords"? (in german "Namen und Kennwörter bearbeiten..." and entering a username and a password for this specific person FCP hangs for a few seconds and then just show me the option "visible for everyone".
FCP did not accepting my input. Trashing the preferences did not resolve the problem. iPhoto is able to connect to mobileme also with sharing to a specific person.I've tested it now with iMovie with success. In the sharing options all my previously entered users with there password are shown. But in FCP all are gone. What can i do?

Usernames and Passwords are not Saved
I made sure that the security option for remembering saved passwords was checked; but the new version of Firefox is NOT saving them; I must enter them each time I visit any site that requires a username or password. There was no problem with version 3 in this regard.

Any suggestions?The outgoing mail server should be smtp.aol.com. This is the correct server setting. Try using another server under Other Server. Turn the Primary Server Off and use another server under Other SMTP Servers.
