UserName & Pass for Admin Cosole fails!!

Installation went OK, I can get all examples running. However, when I fire up the Default Admin Server Console and attempt to logon to it by typing username and password, the logon fails everytime. what gives?
bill

I am trying to install weblogic 7.0 and it did not ask me for a password during
installation. However, if I look at some of the config files, I can see the encrypted
password. Any idea how to solve this problem?
Thanks,

During installation, you're asked for a password. That password is for
running
the server AND the admin console. Therefore, the only thing you're missing
when
you lauch the admin console is the username which is 'system'.
Hope it helps !

  • Weblogic Admin server fail over

    Hi,
    Please let me know if there is a official documentation from Oracle for admin server fail over for version 8.x, 9.x & 10.x?

    I am not sure if there is something as weblogic Admin Server Failover
    For Managed Server failover please read

  • Discoverer Desktop Connections Fails With Invalid Username/Pass in r12

    Hi all;
    I have problem. I can login Discoverer Administrator from my localmachine and i can see what ppl did it there.. But when i try to login Discoverer Desktop from my localmachine its gives me Invalid Username/Pass. error.
    I even cant login my system from browser :
    http://xx.com:7778/discoverer/plus << pages comes and i fill in the blanks area like:
    Connect to : Oracle Application
    Username: sysadmin
    pass: ***
    Database: VIS
    I found some document from forums. Whihc is :
    Discoverer Is Unable to Connect to Oracle Applications database: invalid username/password      Doc ID: Note:467919.1
    Discoverer 10g (10.1.2) Connectons To Oracle E-Business Suite 12 Fails With 'Invalid Username/Password'      Doc ID: Note:443661.1
    But before i apply those patch i want to take advice from you. Coz i can login Discoverer Administrator and can use it but cant login Discoverer Desktop...its kind of wierd... i already checked what i have done in installtion and its all seems correct.
    Any idea;
    Regards
    Helios

    Discoverer supports two kinds of connections - database schema connections and apps connections. For Disco Admin, you login using a database schema, which, as you stated, works. For Disco User you login using an Apps user account (for which there is a no equivalent database scherma). To enable such a connection, you need to check the "oracle applications user" check box on the 10g Disco login screen. Also, under Tools --> Options, in the Connection tab, make sure that "connect to both standard and applications EULs" radio button is selected.

  • Failed file login for admin

    In the app server log file, this keeps coming up. When I went to run my app in creator2, it prompted me the first time for the admin username and password, which I used the admin adminadmin values. The web app came up in a browser window and seems to be working fine... but the log file keeps getting this message
    Failed file login for admin
    Failed file login for admin
    Failed file login for admin
    Question, what is causing this and how can I stop it?
    Question, how can I change the admin username and password?
    Thanks in advance
    Dean-O

    You can try reseting the appserver.
    You can find a "utility/script/commandfile" in
    C:\Program Files\Sun\Creator2_1\bin
    C:\Program\Sun\Creator2_1\bin
    pe-start.bat -reset (there is a tiny dot in the filename here) for windows
    pe-start.sh -reset (there is a tiny dot in the filename here) for linux/unix
    !!!! If you have made any changes to the configuration files, make sure you make copies of the files, they will be lost. !!!!
    so that you can pull out the information from the old files, that probably has been corrupted and put them back in the new files.
    It might be that you have made incorrect changes in the config files or they have become corrupted.
    Kind Regards
    Roger

    Hello,
    now this message is pretty obvious. So the needed information would be:
    ls -ld /oracle/QAA/102_64/rdbms/admin
    ls -ld /oracle/QAA/102_64/rdbms/admin/log
    ls -ld brtools
    id
    and then compare if the user executing brtools has appropiate rights.
    Most likely you did not run saproot.sh so brtools might not be set suid to oraqaa
    and you are executing as qaaadm.
    Best regards

    First of all you can check if a "boot.properties" file already exists also in the domain directory:
    /calmdomain/boot.properties.
    Try deleting both the boot.properties and re-create it in one of the two locations (/calmdomain/servers/calmserver2/security is better) with clear text credentials:
    username=<admin user>
    password=<admin password>
    If this not works or you have lost all the admin users password you can try the following procedure to reset the administrative user.
    Note that this procedure was taken from an old WL version: make all the necessary backups ! I not guarantee that it will work on your installation (let me know)...
    ++++
    1. From a DOS or UNIX prompt cd to the Web Logic domain directory and run setDomainEnv.cmd/setDomainEnv.sh Make sure your environment gets set correctly, check that WL_HOME is set. If not trying running setDomainEnv.sh like this:
    . ./setDomainEnv.sh (there is a dot "." then a space then ./setDomainEnv.sh)
    Create an initialization file for the default authenticator
    java weblogic.security.utils.AdminAccount adminuser weblogic .
    Don't forget to add the "." it is needed.
    This should produce a DefaultAuthenticatorInit.ldift in the domains directory.
    2. Delete the DefaultAuthenticatormyrealmInit.initialized from /webserv/DomainName/servers/WebLogicAdmin/ldap
    3. Once you delete this file and try to start the admin server it gets recreated using the DefaultAuthenticatorInit.ldift file as a template.
    4. Rename the boot.properties file.
    5. Edit the setDomainEnv.cmd/setDomainEnv.sh file and change:
    WLS_USER=adminuser WLS_PW=weblogic
    6. Reboot the admin server. If running as a single server, then use the startWeblogic command.
    7. Put the boot.properties file back to it's original name and change so it looks like the one below:
    username=adminuser
    password=weblogic
    8. Restart the admin server and those values will then get encrypted.
    9. You can now go into the console and fix the system password if you wish or keep using the adminuser account. To fix the system password from the console, logon as adminuser and navigate to: Security / Realms / myrealm / users - Click on system, Next to Password click on Change. Enter the new password and click apply.

  • Admin Commit Failed

    I'm trying to modify a CSV list of users against GroupWise using Admin
    API and C#. The code works but when I run against larger CSV lists I
    get; COM Exception: Admin Commit Failed.
    Two questions: Why does this occur randomly but code will proceed past
    if I run again?
    How can I trap exception on this and proceed with next commit? (More of
    a general C# question on trapping COMException.
    Ryan

    Makes sense, the error even occurs when I make a DLMember deletion then
    loop through distribution list members (without committing). Is there a
    way I can see the buffers in the API and maybe their full state?
    My distribution list logic looks like;
    foreach (Domain objDomain in objGW.Domains)
    foreach (PostOffice objPO in objDomain.PostOffices)
    foreach (DistributionList objDistList in objPO.DistributionLists)
    foreach (DLMember objDLMember in objDistList.Membership)
    if (string.Compare(userName, objDLMember.Member.Name, true) == 0)
    try
    objDLMember.Delete();
    catch (SystemException
    dlExcept)
    MessageBox.Show("Distribution List Exception: " + dlExcept.Message);
    Thanks for any more tips.

    I just noticed the exact same thing. It turns out that the httpd-ssl.conf file on my system is still the old v2.2 syntax, which means that the SSLMutex directive is still in there. This is an invalid directive after 2.2.
    This is where things get interesting. At first, I simply thought I had forgotten to merge httpd-ssl.conf.pacnew after apache had been upgraded to 2.4. However, when I check my pacman.log, it appears that httpd-ssl.conf was never upgraded when apache went to 2.4 - (2.2.26-1 -> 2.4.7-1). There was never a pacnew file generated to be merged.
    I took a look at the apache package via the abs and the "proper" httpd-ssl.conf is certainly in there, so why pacman never created a pacnew file is a mystery.
    Anyway, to fix this: pull the httpd-ssl.conf from the apache package, either from your cache, using the abs and building it, or (I think) pacman may re-install it if you move the file to a backup location (not sure about this). Then merge your original httpd-ssl-conf with the new one.

  • Agent determination for step 0000000081 failed error in workflow

    Hello All,
         I am doing employment verification from ESS portal. In the workflow step I have selected RULE to determine the agent. To configure rule, I double click on rule, on next screen selected "Agent determination - responsibilties" to determine the agent. I configured responsibilties with the valid value ranges and everything but the workflow is going into error! I did research and not sure what I am doing wrong. I checked the workflow container in workflow log and all the values that are supposed to pass to rule container are showing up fine.I keep getting the error:
    Agent determination for step 0000000081 failed
    Result og agent resolution does not agree with agents of task.
    Any feedback you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • Log connection attempts and source IP address for connections that fail/timeout on RADIUS

    How can I log the connection attempts and source IP address for connections that fail RADIUS authentication?  I'm using RD Gateway on 2012 R2 in conjunction with Azure Multi-Factor Authentication Server on another 2012 R2 server.  When a user fails
    multifactor authentication or the authentication times out, all I get is Security event 6273 on the RD Gateway that the radius server did not process the request, and only the radius server's IP is logged.  There's nothing logged in TerminalServices-Gateway\Operational
    because the TS Gateway hasn't yet processed the connection attempt (all auditing options for RD Gateway are enabled).  The MFA/Radius Server is only logging the connection from the TSGateway - it doesn't know the original client's IP address.
    I'm looking for the equivalent of an IIS log - somewhere the RD Gateway should log the initial HTTPS connection attempt and the source IP address of the client.  I need to be able to track down potentially fraudulent login attempts.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your posting in Windows Server Forum.
    This error might be caused by one of the following conditions:
    •  The user does not have valid credentials
    •  The connection method is not allowed by network policy
    •  The network access server is under attack
    •  NPS does not have access to the user account database on the domain controller
    •  NPS log files or the SQL Server database are not available
    To perform these procedures, you must be a member of Domain Admins.
    Please check for more information:

  • UNSPSC code is not passed for RT catalog item then error !!

    Hi SRM GURUs,
    We have implemented BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER BADI.
    In which if a RT catalog item is not having UNSPSC code then we are passing some generic material group for that particular item.
    Here the issue is, if a UNSPSC code is not passed for a RT catalog item, then system is throwing error message "No logical system for FI is maintained. inform system admin".
    Also, a pop-up is coming on SRM screen "Error in system;shopping cart cannot be processed further" and then after clicking on "OK" of the POP-UP it is taking me on SRM home page.
    will anybody explain why this is happening ? Kindly, explain this logic (As this logic is in standard SAP program)?
    PS: we are at SRM5.0 & CCM2.0.
    Thanks !!

    drwxr-xr-x 2 jjayet dba 4096 Apr 5 06:36 CVU_11.2.0.2.0_jjayet
    drwxrwxrwx 7 root root 4096 Apr 5 06:36 .
    if I umount /tmp but use the local /tmp
    re-running the DB installer as user jjayet it does not raise the error above
    and now local /tmp contains :
    # cd /tmp
    # ls -altr
    drwxr-xr-x 32 root root 4096 Apr 5 06:07 ..
    drwxr-x--- 10 jjayet dba 4096 Apr 5 06:25 OraInstall2012-04-05_06-25-28AM
    drwxr-xr-x 3 jjayet dba 4096 Apr 5 06:25 CVU_11.2.0.2.0_jjayet
    drwxrwxrwt 5 root root 4096 Apr 5 06:25 .
    do you know how to use tmp over nfs with user jjayet so that the DB can install properly ?
    it seems that the files created as user jjayet into mounted /tmp are not identified properly
    thks in advance
    jean

    thks for the pointer
    I found the post you mention but it does not help
    it does not explain the root cause of the problem but just propose a workaround to pass an option to installer which will popi\up an interactive messgae at install time
    as installation is done automatically through ADE / DTE I cannot use this workaround
    any expert in oracle DB install can help ?
    thks
    Jean
