Users getting upgrade prompt with SilentAutoUpdateEnable=1 set

We've been deploying Flash Player  11.6.602.180 to our desktops recently, along with this mms.cfg:
AutoUpdateDisable=0
SilentAutoUpdateEnable=1
SilentAutoUpdateServerDomain=(internal server)
Users are getting propted to upgrade via the red Adobe box. Why is this happening?
The behavior that we need is to never, ever, ever have our users prompted to install Flash Player. It should always come from our internal deployment systems. What are we doing wrong?

This is the first version we’ve attempted to implement this way. I can’t say for certain that the internal SAU server is functioning properly. I CAN say that I can see clients requesting version.xml in the web server log files:

Since we have 11.6.602.180 on the SAU server as well, we wouldn’t expect installations from there yet.

    some (around 20) of my 3000 outlook 2010 users are getting Password Promts while using outlook.
    This started end of last week without any change to the environment.
    The prompt goes away if we unmount and remount additional mailboxes they have mounted.
    Any idea what could be causing this or where to start debugging?
    Backend is Exchange 2013 and 2007 in migration.

    How did you mount additional mailboxes? Via File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Double-click the Exchange account > More Settings > Advanced tab > Add?
    Are the additional mailboxes hosted on the same version of Exchange server with thoese mailboxes with the password prompting issue? If this is the case, this issue often happens if you have a hybrid deployment of Exchange Server. To resolve the issue,

  • User getting print output with logo and footer is cut

    User is trying to print a PDF from Portal system and the print output comes with the logo cut at the top on the right handside and footer cut at the bottom

    The user has reverted back that the print is working fine when you print word documents or other systems
    The user is trying to give print from the Portal system and says that
    "it is not possible in e-Recruiting to choose a printer like it can be done in a SAP backend system. E-Recruiting is a web based application and with any correspondence scenarios which allows print outs there is only a button "print". Clicking on that button the e-Recruiting system is triggered to print the requested document on the network printer of the users. This process happens blind in the background and there is absolutely no user interaction (like choosing layout options, choosing printer, changing properties etc.) necessary or possible"
    Also for your information print privew is getting dispalyed correctly

  • Random users getting "no connection" with shared calendars

    We recently made changes to autodiscover and a new SSL cert. Although this issue has been happening before hand. It seems to be random users. Outlook 2013 and 2010. OWA works great

    Can you create a new Outlook profile automatically? 
    Unless you have full mailbox access and have auto-mapped those shared mailboxes, autodiscovery doesnt come into play here.

    I have 7-reports with same columns but for different 7-utilities(seawater,portable water, gas consumption ...etc). If suppose user enters one utility(seawater) in the selection screen then he/she needs to get corresponding "SEAWATER" report .
    Samiliary for other utilities also.
    so how can user gets corresponding report with corresponding with specific uility.

    Do you mean that
    1. You want 7 reports for 7 utilities with the same column Structure and how can user get these?
    If this is the case, create 7 Queries and use the same re-usable structure in the Columns. Then go ahead and rsestrict the Utilities with the specific utilities in Free Char. Give the name as per the Utilities, so that the user can distinguish between these queries.
    OR
    2. You want one report and user has the choice which utility he wants to run the report for, then....
    Create on report with the rows/columsn that you want. Create a variable on the Utilities Info-Object and restrict the Utilities Info-Object with this variable. So user will be prompted to enter this variable for utility and corresponding report will be generated.

    i have a requirement where i have to filter the data between two date prompts. i have only one date column and the date in the prompts shuld be selected by calendar.
    i have seen may approaches to do this and i got one where two dummy date columns should be declared in repository and used to define the date prompts.
    but using other methods i could not get the calendar option in prompt.
    but is there any other way to get the prompts with calndar selection without defining the dummy columns in repository

    you can do that first select the date column you want to use in dashboard prompt then select another column and in the dashboard prompts then open the fx of the date prompt you first selected copy that and paste it in the second column and in the control section click on calender it will work you can use same date column as two prompts with out creating new column.

  • One Exchang 2013 user gets "The Microsoft Administrator has made a change that requires you to quit and restart Outlook" each time his desktop is rebooted.

    I recently migrated all of my users from Exchange 2007 to 2013. One Outlook user gets this prompt each time he opens Outlook after rebooting his desktop. He gets it after every reboot.
    I tried re-creating his Outlook profile and that did not resolve the issue. I also tried to create an Outlook profile for him on a different desktop and got the same message.

    I got a call to check an issue with a Exchange Server 2013 SP1 environment recently. All server was upgraded from Exchange server 2013 CU2 to Exchange Server 2013 SP1. It was done successfully but many users were being randomly prompted with a popup in their outlook
    client with the following message:-
    “The Microsoft Exchange Administrator has made a change that requires you quit and restart Outlook”
    Although there wasn’t any changes of late in the environment there were random popups like these for multiple users. As the behaviour was not consistent and effecting the entire upgration population
    Please suggest us how to resolve the issue.

    Does the issue happen to all Outlook 2013 users? Please create a new Outlook profile to have a try.
    If it fails, please check the msExchHomePublicMDB value in ADSI Edit:
    1. In Adsiedit, expand Configuration-->CN=Services -> CN=Microsoft Exchange -> CN=domain -> CN=Administrative Groups -> CN=Exchange Administrative Group -> CN=Databases.
    2. Right-click the listed database > Properties.
    3. Check whether the msExchHomePublicMDB value is set to an available value. Please change the value to <not set>.
    4. Click OK.
    Then check whether the issue persists.

  • User with an active Adobe ID on a paid subscription, tries to open InDesign CC and is prompted with a Login screen for the "trial version".

    The user had the program open earlier today. But now, she can't open the program and gets prompted with the login screen. I don't want her to login as it mentions the "trial version" of the software. We have a paid subscription.
    The application opens successfully on other work stations.
    I am running the Adobe CC Installer update on her machine now.
    Why did her login suddenly become deactivated?

    Works just fine, but how would you automate this with a script that would read a csv-file. The -identity cmd dosen't seem to like my $SAM setup. Perhaps it's a better way to get-aduser and pipe it to set-accountexpiration. Is there a swift way to add the

    -AccountExpirationDate parameter of New-ADUser only seem to work with -DateTime, a specific date, while -TimeSpan is optimal for this solution.
    You can use Get-Date's AddDays method to generate a datetime object for use in this situation, see the code I'm posting below for an example.
    Now on to the next challange to warn me when they reach "32" days before expiration. Was thinking of running a Task Scheduled bath file that could collect number of days left and report it if below the mentioned days.
    Here's one method you can use for finding these users:
    $cutoffDate = (Get-Date).AddDays(32)
    Get-ADUser -Filter * -SearchBase 'OU=Users - TEST,DC=domain,DC=com' -Properties AccountExpirationDate |
    Where { $_.AccountExpirationDate -and $_.AccountExpirationDate -lt $cutoffDate }

    I have written my customized login code to login a user to the
    portal and I user the following code:

    I notice that whenever I try to logon using my code with a
    wrong password, the user gets locked in 3 attemps even though the security policy
    (at ABAP and in Portal UME Configuration) setting for number of failed attempts is set to 5.
    (Although, please note that my code works fine logging the
    user into the portal when he enters the correct password)
    I try to check if the same thing happens with the standard logon module - com.sap.portals.runtime.logon,
    and notice that it locks correctly after 5 attempts.
    Would I have to add anything else in my code to make it work
    correctly?

    I tried to check in the CUA table the incorrect logon attempts value, and noticed that for every time I login (using my above code) with the wrong password, it increments the count by 2!! And that's the reason it gets locked out by the third time.
    What am I doing wrong?
