Using a button for my link on a page

Hello.
I am probably asking a very simple question, but I can't figure it out.
I have a simple link on my page in the form of:
click here
When the page displays, the "click here" text shows as underlined hyperlink that a user can click on and go to another page.
The problem is that most of my ApEx generated pages have template buttons for navigation between pages and I would like to stay consistent when I create links within my html text and use buttons too, not underlined hypertext.
Is there a way to display a button that says "click here" instead of a hyperlink text that says the same?
I am tricking it by creating an image of a button and embedding the image with the <img> tag in between my <a></a> tags. But that's ugly because it's not a real button that changes its text color when you hover the mouse over it and gets sunk in when you press on it giving it that real look and feel, but just an image of it.

I set up a button in my link as follows:

The only thing is that if I were to try to make my button consistent with the template based buttons I use throughout the app, and if I know my template is:

isn't there a way to do something like this for my button to pick up the template format?

Can't find delete button for quick link address in my inbox navigation pane !

Hi,
There is no delete button for quick link which I mistakenly added in my inbox navigation pane. In fact, the link I added for quick link was a mistake and it was a different page address, and the missing delete button is for this specific link only; other than it is alright. How can I remove or delete it from my inbox quick link ?

There does seem to be a close/delete button present that is hidden under the 'm' from 'google.com' that is probably not clickable.
I don't know if there should be such a long link visible in that list item or that something else is wrong.
You can try to right-click that area and use Inspect Element to open the Inspector.

Using the nav bar to link to another page.

It is possible to use the nave bar to link to another page such as a blog?
Example:
Welcome About Me My Photos Blog (linked to external blog such as blogger)

If you want the link to the external page to appear in the default navbar then do the following:
1 - create a blank page and name it the way you want it in the navbar.
2 - add an HTML Snippet to that page with the following code in it:
<script type="text/javascript">
parent.window.location = "URL TO THE EXTERNAL PAGE"; </script>
What this does is automatically redirect the viewer to the external page when the link in the navbar is clicked on.
My Demo Sites are setup this way. The Contents page for each site is redirected to a separate Contents site which contains the index of all the pages in the three demo sites. That way I only have to change the index on the Contents site instead of doing it for each site individually.
If you want the other page to open in a new window you'll have to create a separate text based hyperlink and use the Inspector/Link pane to link the text to it and check the open in new window option. If you need to have that in the navbar you can create a texbased navbar, hide the default one and set your links as needed in the Inspector/Link pane. This is a demo page of a Text Based Navbar.

FM10/Acrobat X 10-use named destinations for PDF linking

My company wants our documentation to be accessible from a web page. No problem there. But they want to provide users with links that open the PDF files to a specific section.
My books are in FM10. I created hypertext named destinations (example hyperlink syntax: newlink alarm) at the points where they want to open the PDF. I then saved the book to PDF, with the Create Named Destinations for All Paragraphs check box selected.
We are now trying to build a link from the web page to open the PDF at the named destination. Here is some info from the web developer on his syntax:

Our team recently found a way to put custom named destinations in our FrameMaker files that can be used for linking to specific places in the PDF output (with no strange alphanumeric codes added to the named destinations).
The named destinations are anchored in FM so they stay with whatever heading/text/graphic/etc they are "attached" to, even as content is added to/removed from the FM files.
Will the following work as part of the solution you're looking for? (We're also using FM10 and Acrobat X.)
In FM, insert a new text frame object.
Type the following code in the text frame: [/Dest /Help123/Dest pdfmark
where “Help123” is the name that will appear in the PDF for this named destination. This is name you would use in your hyperlinks. Our programmers use this name for the context-sensitive help links in the user interface.
Right-click on the text frame and select Object Properties. Click to select the PostScript Code check box, then click the Set button.
NOTE: Once the PostScript Code check box is selected, the text in the text frame cannot be edited. To edit the text in the text frame, you have to first turn off the PostScript Code option, edit the text, and then turn the PostScript Code option back on.
Select the text frame object, then cut and paste to create a new instance of it. This places the text frame inside an anchored frame.
You can now “attach” the anchored frame to whatever heading/figure/text/etc the named destination should link to.
Here's the catch. To get the named destination in the PDF output, you can’t use the “Save as PDF” command in FM – you must print to PDF instead:
In the FM file, click File >> Print Setup.
Select Adobe PDF in the Name drop-down list, then click the Properties button.
Deselect the Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts check box, then click OK.
Click OK.
Click File >> Print.
Select the Generate Acrobat Data check box.
Click the PDF Setup button to define bookmark links, print quality, etc, then click the Set button when done.
Click the Print button.
The generated PDF file should contain all the bookmarks you’ve defined as well as all the named destinations you added (with the exact names you specified).

Using generic format for database links in ODI Procedures

As in procedure we use

where Staging Database and Target Database are logical schemas which will associate to respective physical schema while execution so the above statement will become as
create table Target_Schema.TABLE2 as
select * from staging_Schema.TABLE1
I just wanted to know if there is any way by which i can apply samethings for Database Links also.
Like if i have statements
create table TABLE2@Target_Database as
select * from TABLE1@staging_Database
can i replace DB links like Target_Database and Staging_Database?

Alright - so I've been trying to work w/the scripting language (I'm sorry, I'm fairly new, and one of two things happens whenever I enter it in.
1. The text disappears from the box on the right and doesn't show up in the assigned boxes.
2. Nothing happens

Use bit.ly for audio link?

I just launched my first podcast. I'm hosting the .mp3 from an enjin.com website and they don't have any sort of click counter so I would like to create a bit.ly link to the files. Will iTunes (and RSS feeds) work fine if I use the bit.ly forwarding link for the GUID and Enclosure?

No. You can use redirects for the media file (though it sometimes causes trouble so you need to be cautious about it) but the URL must have the media file extension - e.g. .mp3 - or iTunes won't recognize it as a media file and won't display the episode at all.
As to tracking downloads, Apple's help site mentions this:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html#tracking
but from what you say it probably won't help you. If you submit your feed to Feedburner and have it submit its version to iTunes, it can provide tracking by referring the files through Google Feedproxy: however it's been reported that this can cause problems so again you may want to be cautious.

Create custom Edit button for list on SharePoint 2013 page

I have a custom list which holds contact information such as name, telephone, address. I am displaying the custom list webpart with using a custom view on the site home page which only shows name and telephone. It should only
have 1 item so 'New Item' is not needed. However I still need to be able to edit the item. If I click 'Edit' on the list view on the home page, it will open a quick edit box only showing name and telephone.
How can I create a custom button on the home page that will open the custom list item form instead? Therefore all columns will be editable and I can remove the "New and Edit" toolbar from the webpart.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to open the custom list item form.
Per my knowledge, there is out of box method to achieve it.
After you insert the web part to a page, you need to edit the web part and change List Views as below, then it will remove the "New and Edit" toolbar from the webpart.
In the page, if you click the web part , the ribbon will appear. After you select the item and click Edit Item, the edit form with all fields will be displayed.

BUTTON FOR PRINTING A RANGE OF PAGES

I need to create a button that prints only a specific range of pages. So far I´ve been using this script:
>this.print (false, this.pageNum, this.pageNum);
>// print a file silently
>this.print({bUI:false,bSilent:true,bShrinkToFit:true});
But the button is doing nothing. Any help welcome.

First you should look at the click event of the print button for the xfa.host method for printing.
Also you must know, that "this" doesn't give you the Doc object. In Designer 7 you must use "event.target" to get it. As I think
event.target.print...
should run.

When link is opened by clicking middle button, it appears in tab toolbar;but when opened via left button (set to open in new tab) it is not shown - hidden under BACK key? I'd like left clicked tabs shown. & use mid.button for Enter.

No. The Tab bar is a regular toolbar in current Firefox versions, so you get the normal right-click context menu of a toolbar if you right-click the tab bar.
You can double click on empty space on the tab bar to open a new tab if you do not want to use the new tab button.<br />
You can drag a link on that new tab button to open that link in a new tab.<br />
You can also drag the new tab button on another toolbar if you would like that better.<br />
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"<br />

Using generic webserver for opendoc links

Hi Everyone,
Is there a specific syntax I can use to enter opendoc links for a URL button without specifying the name of my BOE server.
I've tried using <webserver> in place of my server name without success.

The dynamic url method that Simon gave earlier should work, but not when you are previewing the dashboard. It would only work once it has been exported to Enterprise.
If you want it to work whilst previewing you'll need to specify the full server string.

As far as I know it is not possible. I have tried it with older notebook models but without success. It works just with Microsoft Media player.
For a long time ago Toshiba has had a small player installed on a few units (dont remember which notebook models) and it was possible to use them with this Toshiba designed player.

Is there anyway to just use one button for push to talk?

I use ventrilo all the time but have been wanting to switch to skype. I can't stand using constant open mic so i wanted to use push to talk. On skype its always alt/control/shift plus something else is there anyway to make it only 1 key?

In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again.
