Using a reserved name in a structure.

I am using CF9's fast way to create a structure, ie:
<cfset myStruct = {
keyName = {
    innerKey1 = "value",
     innerKey2 = "anotherValue"
}>
One of the keys I want to make is called "mod", however that is a reserved function (Modulus).  Is there a way I can still use this?

Use this code (saved in testFile.cfm):
<!--- testFile.cfm--->
<cfset configData = {
path = {
app = {
                              absDataURL = "/acp/app/data/",
                              absLogicURL = "/acp/app/logic/",
                              absLogicFQDN = "/acp.app.logic.",
                              absPresentationURL = "/acp/app/presentation/",
                              absURL = "/acp/app/",
                              rootURL = "/acp/"
  fw = {
                              absDataURL = "/framework/fw/data/",
                              absLogicURL = "/framework/fw/logic/",
                              absLogicFQDN = "/framework.fw.logic.",
                              absPresentationURL = "/framework/fw/presentation/",
                              absURL = "/framework/fw/",
                              rootURL = "/framework/"
  "mod"= {
                              absURL = "/acp/mods/",
                              relDataURL = "/data/",
                              relLogicURL = "/logic/",
                              relLogicFQDN = ".logic.",
                              relPresentationURL = "/presentation/",
                              rootURL = "/acp/"
}>
<cfdump var="#configData#">

  • I need to use a reserved word as parameter name in proc called from URL

    Let me preface this post by saying I already know this is terrible to attempt, but it's short term fix only.
    Ok, so I have to create a procedure that will be called by a vendors application via a API that calls our URL to send data over. The terrible part is
    that the API they have uses the parameter FROM=vendor_data A change is on the way so in the future the API won't use FROM as a paramter, so this isn't something I want to do, but it's a workaround.
    So the nastiness is this..., I can create a procedure that'll compile when I enclose FROM in double quotes "FROM" as my input parameter
    but if I try to call my procedure via URL (as their application will do) the procedure isn't working. I searched for someway to do an inline
    replace of the FROM parameter to something else, but no luck. I'm open to all positive comments. I cannot go outside of Oracle
    to do this, so I can't call a shell script and replace. Basically I need some way to use a reserved word as a parameter name, and then be able to call
    that proc from a URL, or someway to change the FROM in the URL inline. Any help on this admittedly whacky situation would be appreciated much.
    I tried ...\myproc?from=text
    ...\myproc?"from"=text
    ...\myproc?'from'=text
    proc is simple test procedure
    create or replace procedure myproc
    ("from" in varchar2 default 0)
    is
    v_from varchar2(30);
    begin
    v_from:="FROM";
    insert into test(col1) values(v_from);
    end;
    **** Update
    I didn't get any more replies but came to a solution that I thought I'd post. It's much better, more elegant and maybe can help others.
    So instead of using FROM as the parameter name I did some research and decided I can use flexible parameters. Basically you end up having
    2 input parameters for a procedure, one holds a parameter name the other holds the parameter value. They get loaded into arrays
    and you access the values with regular name_array(1), value_array(1), etc. ?v=parameter&v2=value
    Once I figued I could use flexible parameter it took me tons of research to find out the actual syntax. I'll post some examples for others
    later, but was suprised with the lack of resources consideriing how "flexible" they are.
    Thanks again for the replies. Cheers.

    Scott,
    Thanks for the reply. I'm not familiar with the wwv_flow_epg_include_mod_local, however I know that the
    myproc is available via URL. I passed the my procedure name(myproc) on to the dba a while back to make it "accessible" so, I'm assuming that he
    added it to this the www_flow_epg_mod_local (assuming this has something to do with access control).
    If I modify myproc procedure and remove "FROM" as the input variable, and replace with say,
    IN_FROM I can then call the procedure via the URL ./myproc?in_from=test without any problems.
    I'm pretty confident that it's the "FROM" that is the hurdle and not a security or setup issue. The proc is fine to call from the URL until I got the curveball that the only available parameter was FROM. How the URL should be when inputing to that parameter?

  • Error while using the variable name "VARIABLE" in variable substitution

    Hi Experts,
      I am using variable substitution to have my output filename set as a payload field value. It is working fine when I am using the variable name as fname, subs etc but channel goes in error when I am using the variable name as "VARIABLE". This is probably a reserved word but i would like to know where i can find a detailed documentation on this. Say things to note / restrictions while using variable substitution.
    This is the error in the channel:
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error during variable substitution: java.text.ParseException: Variable 'variable' not found in variable substitution table: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.configuration.DynamicConfigurationException: Error during variable substitution: java.text.ParseException: Variable 'variable' not found in variable substitution table

    Hi Zevik,
    Thanks for the reply. The output file is created correctly by merely changing the variable name to something else and hence the doubt.
    Below is the configuration:

  • Name of the structure needed for sales order user exit

    Hi,
    I am planning to write a user exit which will insert the data into my ztable the moment the new sales order is created and is saved.
    I have identified FORM USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT as the necessary user exit. But the problem is that while inserting the data into the ztable I cannot insert the data from vbak as the data will be inserted into this table after the SO is saved.
    Thus I need to identify a structure which is used to populate the vbak table so that it simultaneously inserts the data in the ztable as well. Can anyone help me with the name of the structure so that these fields i.e. vbeln, vkorg, vtweg, spart are inserted into my ztable?
    Also need to know how to convert the net value i.e. vbak-netwr in Indian Rupees as it gets stored as Dollars ....
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

    Hi,
    One of the structure being used is RV45A, there are several other str's being used as well for various calculations,
    check out program SAPMV45A for the same.
    & in order to convert vbak-netwr to rupees use the below statemetnt,
    WRITE vbak-netwr TO zvbak-netwr CURRENCY INR.

    Hi,
    You can use the for run time type descriptor classes to do this :
    Here is a simple example :
    REPORT  z_assign_comp.
    TYPE-POOLS : slis.
    include <icon>.
    "&   Dynamic Programming ! Using Structure Descriptior Class.          *
    DATA: BEGIN OF line OCCURS 0,
            col1 TYPE i,
            col2(10) TYPE c,
            col3 TYPE i,
          END OF line.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS : <fs> TYPE ANY.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS : <itab_line> TYPE ANY.
    DATA : BEGIN OF t_comp OCCURS 0,
            comp(5) TYPE c,
           END OF t_comp.
    DATA : l_struc TYPE REF TO cl_abap_structdescr.
    DATA : l_typedesc TYPE REF TO cl_abap_typedescr.
    DATA : lt_comp TYPE abap_compdescr_tab,
           w_comp LIKE LINE OF lt_comp.
    line-col1 = 11.line-col2 = 'SAP'.line-col3 = 33.
    APPEND line.
    line-col1 = 44.line-col2 = 'P.I.'.line-col3 = 66.
    APPEND line.
    ASSIGN line TO <itab_line>.
    "Call the static method of the structure descriptor describe_by_data
    CALL METHOD cl_abap_structdescr=>describe_by_data
      EXPORTING
        p_data      = <itab_line>
      RECEIVING
        p_descr_ref = l_typedesc.
    "The method returns a reference of  a type descriptor class therefore we
    "need to Cast the type descriptor to a more specific class i.e
    "Structure Descriptor.
    l_struc ?= l_typedesc.
    "Use the Attribute COMPONENTS of the structure Descriptor class to get
    "the field names of the structure
    lt_comp = l_struc->components.
    LOOP AT line.
      WRITE :/ 'Row : ', sy-tabix.
      LOOP AT lt_comp INTO w_comp.

  • SQL Developer 1.5 migration issue with MS use of reserved words

    In version 1.2 the was and advanced option that allowed the use of reserved words for column names, I can not find that option in 1.5. What happened to this option? I can not find it and I need to port those applications with out changing the column names. I know I can hand edit the scripts but I did not have to do that with 1.2.
    Any one know if this can still be done?

    n 1.2 iIt was under preferences - > Migration -> Advanced, in version 1.5 no advanced options and I searched around and could not find it else where. gulp as for the reserved words ( don't laugh I am just migrating under orders) there are date, number and some columns with embedded / that it barfs on. I am under orders to do it the way it is written.

  • Reserved names in Java

    Hi, i'm trying to increase my knowledge in Java, and I was wondering what all the reserved names in Java are and what they mean. I know all the basics like: new, public, private, package, protected, int, double, etc. But i was wondering some other ones like final, and some ones I've never heard of. Thanks!

    but i want to here you guys explain it =(
    native?A method designated as native must be provided in machine language for a specific system.
    synchronized?Denotes a method as being thread-safe. Threads entering these methods get a lock on the object; other Threads can't use any other synchronized code for the object until the lock is released.
    transient?Variable marked as transient won't be serialized.
    default?Used in swtich statements to designate the default action.
    volatile?Volatile variables can be accessed by unsynchronized threads.

  • Paid / Free versions of an App and the reserved name

    Hi,
    lets say i have a Paid version of an app(w/ trial) and a Free version(Ad Supported), how am i supposed to deal with the "name reservation" thing?
    First, why having a Paid(w/ trial) and Free(w/ ads)? Well, simply because offering a Trial(free ad supported) doesnt do justice, since peoples who are not willing to pay in the first place will browse throught the marketplace app and see that an app has
    a price on it and simply skip it instead of installing the trial version to finally realize that the Trial is the Free variant.
    That being said, having a duplicated app for both Paid and Free Ad Supported is making it difficult to have the same name on the marketplace. Sure i can give them both the same name, but i cant use the same reserved name for both. I have to do something
    like adding a suffix character to the Free version or put a Pro at the end of the Paid application name, which is not representating the truth anyway since the Paid version has no Pro features in it, its just Ads-Free.
    I hope my question was clear enough(sorry for any grammar mistake, i am not english native).
    So, how do you/should i deal with it?
    Thanks in advance!

    I remember in the universal apps tutorial or another channel 9 tutorial the Microsoft employees actually recommended adding Pro to the end. You can limit features easily though with one line of code. Here's the line of code:
    If Windows.ApplicationModel.Store.CurrentApp.LicenseInformation.IsTrial = False Then
    End If
    Edit: perform more checks as necessary if you wish.

    "DATE" date
    then i insert it
    insert into t values(1,'15.04.10');

    it'sw work correct
    T_ID DATE
    1 15.04.10
    2 16.04.10
    but when i try to create procedure for insert, like this
    create or replace procedure my_proc(p1 int,p2 date)
    as begin

    i know that the problem is with the name of the second column called "DATE"
    and if we changed this name (for example "tDATE") the procedure will be work
    but i can't change this name
    if anybody knows the solution please help me

    Karthik:
    No, it is not a bug, it is just the way that Oracle works. The list of reserved words can be found in the view v$reserved_words. There is a column in that view called reserved. A word that is in the view and has Y in the reserved column is "really" reserved, that is you will get an error if you use it in an inappropriate place (like a column name) without quoting it. Words with N in the reserved column should not be used as object names, but because they either became special later in Oracle history or for other reasons can be used unquoted but shouldn't be.
    Although I don't know the exact internal mechanism, from experience, it appears to work this way. When Oracle stores the name of a table or column, it always makes it upper case, unless it is double quoted in which case the case is preserved. When it retireves the names, it does not make any changes to the name as it is stored, so always retieves the name as it was stored.
    In the OP's case, by using double quotes he got around the reserved word issue, but by using all upper case within the double quotes what ended up stored in the data dictionary was a reserved word. The sql statement probably worked in sql because it is just doing a string match to see if the specified column names are right, and in the absence of a column list, may even be just looking to see if the type and number is correct without actually looking at the name. I suspect this because it works even if you explicitly list the columns as long as DATE is double quoted.
    SQL> INSERT INTO t (id, "DATE") VALUES (1, sysdate);
    1 row created.
    SQL> roll
    Rollback complete.However, if you do not double quote the column, you get:
    SQL> INSERT INTO t (id, DATE) VALUES (1, sysdate);
    INSERT INTO t (id, DATE) VALUES (1, sysdate)
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-01747: invalid user.table.column, table.column, or column specificationIn the case of the PL/SQL, my quess would be that the compiler is retrieving the column names form the data dictionary, then barfing on something similar to the ORA-1747 error above in the compilation process.

    hi
    what is the name of the structure that is generated ina a recording  using transaction recorder.

    Hi,
    to store data use BDCDATA  structure which holds the field name and field values.
    BDCMSGCOLL is the structure which will holds the message numbers after calling the TCode in your BDC program.
    it holds which records error records by msg type E.
    You can find which records are error records while uploading data.
    in call transaction method it will use for error records .

    Hi,
    As far as I know, the reserved IP is belong to azure IP space, You can enable all azure services to access your database (which whitelists the whole azure IP space, essentially), if you set azure service to true, I think it is unnecessary to set allow IP
    address.

  • How can i use capacity reservation group

    I have a set of slow moving SKU which i want to plan in a specific week every month , I know i can use PPC calendars for that but how can i use capacity reservation group in SCM 7.0 to achive this through wave heuristic
    Please advise
    Prasanna NBaware

    Hi Ambrish,
    PPDS capacity reservation functionality available from version  SCM 5.1 onwards. for your requirement you can reserve the capacity  at resource level  for product.
    To archive this requirement, you need to do
    u2022Create Planning Object Structure (POS) with the required characteristics (Product & Location mandatory)
    u2022Create a planning area assigning the planning object structure
    u2022Create Characteristics Value Combination (CVC) in the POS
    u2022Maintain Capacity Reservation Group (resource)
    u2022In Product Master > Demand Tab> assign the consumption group
    Result: .     Planned order gets created for the demand based on the allocated quantity for the particular period
    please let me know if you have any further question

  • How do I use event.target.name in AS2?

    Thanks to kglad I was able to see how event.target.name in AS3 could make a button load a movieclip with the same namesake.
    I'm doing the same thing now in AS2 but don't know what to write instead of event.target.name.
    And so at the moment each button pushes info into an array and then a function uses that to decide which movieclip to attach to a holder after it has faded out once, and then fades in again...
    // ***** IMAGE GALLERY START ***** //
    // Add image to holder
    imgholder.attachMovie("img0", "image0_0", 1)
    // Array
    var nextLoad = ["img0"];
    // Btn listeners
    img5.onRelease = function() { trace (nextLoad); nextLoad.pop(); nextLoad.push("img5"); btnClick() } // Written on 1 line
    img4.onRelease = function() { trace (nextLoad); nextLoad.pop(); nextLoad.push("img4"); btnClick() }
    img3.onRelease = function() { trace (nextLoad); nextLoad.pop(); nextLoad.push("img3"); btnClick() }
    img2.onRelease = function() { trace (nextLoad); nextLoad.pop(); nextLoad.push("img2"); btnClick() }
    img1.onRelease = function() {
    nextLoad.pop();
    nextLoad.push("img1");
    btnClick()
    img0.onRelease = function() {
    nextLoad.pop();
    nextLoad.push("img0");
    btnClick()
    // The btn function
    function btnClick() {
    trace ("click");
    var myImgTween:Object = new Tween(imgholder, "_alpha", Strong.easeOut, 100, 0, 1, true);
    myImgTween.onMotionFinished = function() {
    fadeOutImg();
    // The btn function part II
    function fadeOutImg() {
    trace ("fadeOutImg");
    imgholder.attachMovie(nextLoad, "image1_1", 1);
    var myImgTween:Object = new Tween(imgholder, "_alpha", Strong.easeOut, 0, 100, 1, true);
    I know I should be able to push the button name into the array, but am having to use a string... I'm sure my code is cumbersome!! But it works. I've tried pushing the button name but it end up including the full stage reference.
    Is there a cleaner way of doing this using event.target.name?
    Thanks for looking!

    There is no event.target in AS2. However since AS2 has no way of remembering the scope object where the target object resides, you can use this to your advantage to retrieve the name of the target by using the "this" command in the function whenever you use the above format "mc.onPress = myfunc". FYI, the popular workaround Delegate, made it possible that when you called "this" in the function, you could retrieve the scope object where the target instance resides. So without its use, "this" will return the name of the target object. Anyway this is the code you can use:
    imgholder.attachMovie("img0","image0_0",1);
    var nextLoad = ["img0"];
    img5.onRelease = onImgRelease;
    img4.onRelease = onImgRelease;
    img3.onRelease = onImgRelease;
    img2.onRelease = onImgRelease;
    img1.onRelease = onImgRelease;
    img0.onRelease = onImgRelease;
    function onImgRelease():Void {
       nextLoad.pop();
       nextLoad.push(this._name);
       btnClick();
    // The btn function
    function btnClick() {
       trace("click");
       var myImgTween:Object = new Tween(imgholder, "_alpha", Strong.easeOut, 100, 0, 1, true);
       myImgTween.onMotionFinished = function() {
          fadeOutImg();
    // The btn function part II
    function fadeOutImg() {
       trace("fadeOutImg");
       imgholder.attachMovie(nextLoad,"image1_1",1);
       var myImgTween:Object = new Tween(imgholder, "_alpha", Strong.easeOut, 0, 100, 1, true);
