Using a script or VB language to a Numbers spreadsheet

I Have been working on a very comprehensive, very useful spreadsheet in Numbers This spreadsheet has sub-spreadsheets which Numbers created. I want to be able to use a query, enter a "key word" and find find the information related to the keyword displayed by either going to the main spreadsheet or any one of the sub-spreadsheets. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I would really appreciate the help from any Numbers guru out there. Thank you very much.

Thank you so much for your reply. My spreadsheets are mostly alpha & alpha-numeric. I'm creating a database of acupressure points for healing specific conditions related to the liver, spleen & other organs & glands. I need to enter keyword and have display another area in the same spreadsheet or linked sub-spreadsheet for the related information.

Script to change language

I need to find all cyrillic characters in a file and set their language to Russian. CS3 cannot find them with grep, so I reckon on doing them one at a time, can anyone help me with an Applescript line which would find X and set its language to Russian? The cyrillic characters in the font in question (Baskerville 10 by Storm) are unicode 0401 through 0491, I'm not sure if the script line needs to be of text or glyph type...

Hi ,
In the transaction related to PO select the path goto->header texts and then details of the texts like ID,objectname,language,name.Pass all theses details to 'READ_TEXT ' FM. Then you will get text lines described for a perticular Po ,similarly for item also.

Translation of scripts into 'FR' language

I have a requirement. Iam translationf remit advice script into 'FR' language.
For this it is using RFFOF_T driver program. Iam running this script through F110 tcode.
And this job is running in back ground mode.But in the job log is is giving the error as ZFI_REMITADVICE / window CARRYFWD, the element 635 (Carry forward below) is missing.
ZFIT_REMITADVICE is my layout name.
Can any one suggest me what to do this for error.
This element is used in Carry forward window.

As it is giving you an error saying that the element is missing, include the element in your form and do not write anything in it,.
I mean to say , at the end of the form, just include the element. Thats it. The error will be resolved.

Hello,
The title of your post asks about using Xmath script. Is this what you intended? You can use the Xmath script node in LabVIEW if you have MATRIXx 7.x or earlier installed. However, the syntax is slightly different from the syntax of The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® software.
In LabVIEW 8.0, we introduced LabVIEW MathScript. The LabVIEW MathScript syntax is similar to the MATLAB language syntax. In LabVIEW MathScript, you generally can execute scripts written in the MATLAB language syntax. However, the MathScript engine executes the scripts, and the MathScript engine does not support some functions that the MATLAB software supports. In order to reuse code that you have written, open the MathScript Window by going to Tools >> MathScript Window. You can also use the MathScript node as part of a VI you are writing. You can find the node on the Programming >> Structures palette. You can import an existing script by right-clicking the node and selecting "Import..." You can create inputs and outputs for the script by right-clicking on the node and selecting the appropriate option. If you wish to call any functions you have written, put them in the MathScript search path. By default, this is your "My Documents\LabVIEW Data" folder. In LabVIEW 8.5, you can change the default search path for the main application instance by going to Tools >> Options.
LabVIEW MathScript does not contain very many GUI functions at this time. You can use the VI's front panel as your GUI, though, and interact with your program that way. Let me know if you have other questions about moving your code or about specific functions.

In the Script, we will use Text elements, so the Text elements will appear in the log on language,
1) You can goto transaction SE63 and translate the scripts into different languages.
2) In SE63, click Translation -> Long Texts -> Sapscripts -> Forms
3) Those language you can convert to have already been pre-installed in the system.
4) SE63 is the best way to translate since it offers check options.
However, it does not mean that it is 100% full proof that everything is correct

I am trying to read a text file using Java Script within the webroot of MII as .HTML file. I have provided the path as below but where I am not able to open the file. Any clue to provide the relative path or any changes required on the below path ?

Re the OP's question, here is an excellent introduction to Calculation Manager and business rules. It was the first hit when I googled "calculation manager hyperion".

You can also go to odtug.com -- the Tech Resources section has a series of presentations on Calculation Manager, from beginner to intermediate.
The added benefit with business rules are that you can use variables and runtime prompts. You can also link planning with business rules and pass information from a web form into a business rules.^^^Only with Planning. There are no runtime prompts with Essbase in 11.1.2.2 but I hear it is coming back in 11.1.2.3
We can use Business Rule for all applications and it is GUI.^^^Doesn't have to be GUI-based. You can (depending on version) flip back and forth between GUI and script. I have not tried writing (nor can I actually think why you would want to do this) a Calc Mgr rule for multiple apps. Maybe you are thinking of a script object that can be called multiple times?
To check whether a calc script is executed or not you have to use the Essbase application database log file (Plan1.LOG)^^^As business rules are, sooner or later, translated to BSO (and hey, ASO too and HFM and Fusion and HPCM and they can differ, a lot, so this is not always true) calc script language, you can always check in the application log to see what is run if Planning or BSO Essbase.

Unable to capture the adf table column sort icons using open script tool

Hi All,
I am new to OATS and I am trying to create script for testing ADF application using open script tool. I face issues in recording two events.
1. I am unable to record the event of clicking adf table column sort icons that exist on the column header. I tried to use the capture tool, but that couldn't help me.
2. The second issue is I am unable to capture the panel header text. The component can be identified but I was not able to identify the supporting attribute for the header text.

Unable to turn column headers bold in Word table using VB Script

I have created a table in Microsoft Word 2010 using VB Script (this is via the script engine that forms part of HP Quality Centre functionality). The table itself is OK, 2 columns with centred headers. However, I am unable to make the column
headers bold. I have spent hours searching the net and trying various options to no avail can somebody please help me.

I haved noticed that you used objTable.AutoFormat to format the table. Based on my understanding, this fuction will applie a predefined look to a table.
After I move the code which bolder the text behind this line of code, it works well for me.

You have option to read a cell content as html. else you will have to go for SDK. I think you will get better suggestions, if you can explain your requirement in a little detailed manner.

Using Powershell Script Run simple query in MS Access 2007 and export the results of query to Excel

I have a Access 2007 DB file and 2 Big tables inside that (bigger than the size that can be easily handled by MS Excel 2007).
My requirement is automate using powershell scripts the below things.
1. Create a SQL query in Access DB and save that in access DB
2. Run the saved query and export the result in excel sheet where I can create the charts and Pivots. Thanks in advance

Hi Binu,
It is not possible to rotate text in SAPscript. The usual work-around, provided this is static text and not from a variable, is to scan an image of the text and include it as a graphic.
