Using an IF Statement in Numbers on Entire Column for Each Value that is True

Hi,
I am trying to create a formula to help calculate a chart chart.
I need to gather the SUM of Column A for Each instance that Column B of the same row is =TRUE. I need to do it in the most general way possible as this formula will be gathering information from multiple tables and creating a sum.
For Instance:

Here's an expression that you could use:
=SUM(SUMIF(Table 1 :: B:B, TRUE, Table 1 :: A:A), SUMIF(Table 2 :: B:B, TRUE, Table 2 :: A:A), and so forth for additional tables)

    Your second post differs form your first, in the first post you said "single AU instrument", in this last post you said "separate synths".  I'll address the second post.
    It's a bit more difficult in Logic than Cubase which has an updated more modern MIDI system.
    The iPad MIDI software will need to transmit on separate MIDI channels for each iPad.
    example:
    iPad #1 MIDI channel 1
    iPad #2 MIDI channel 2 ...etc, doesn't matter which channels as long as they're separate.
    Boot Logic:
    Go to Settings/Recording and select  "Auto Demix by Channel if Multitrack Recording"
    Now setup your AU tracks, select separate channels in the inspector, the channels must match the transmit channels on the iPod.
    You used to have to record enable the tracks, I don't believe that is necessary now.

  • Can I use a inputHidden for javascript values that doesn't set the value?

    I have a hiddenInput field for each row in a datatable so I can restore default values to a date field with a javascript function. I am getting conversion errors because I don't have the right setters in the backing object - and I really don't want to put them there - but I don't want the tag to set the values! Is there any way to just set a hidden value somewhere for each row of a datatable but not have it try to set the value? Thanks in advance!

    I just realised that won't work because all the HTML tags will have the same name, whereas I need the dynamically generated suffix that a dataTable assigns to every element in the row i.e. '_id34', so I can reference the value in the javascript and compare it to entered values. Any more ideas? I am having huge memory problems when I'm submitting my form too, using up 2GB of mem and then dying! I'm not sure what's causing it, because it doesn't get as far as my action method code before it dies! It works for smaller tables but I need to be able to handle ~20 users with tables 4x the size I can process now without running out of memory :( Any help would be really really appreciated!!

    I am trying to calculate the coherence of a stimulus and response
    signal using the Network Functions (avg) VI's. The problem is that I
    always get a coherence of "1" at all frequencies. This problem is
    already known (see KnowledgeBase document: Why is the Network Functions (avg) VI's Coherence Function Output "1"?).
    My trouble is that the described solution (-> the stimulus and response input matrices need to have at least two rows to get non-unity coherence values) doesn't help me much, because I only have one array of stimulus data and one array of response values.
    Thus, how can I fullfil the 'coherence-criteria' to input at least two rows of data each when I just have one row of data each?
    Any hint or idea is very much appreciated. Thanks!

    With this weird board layout, I'm not sure whether you were asking me, but, on the assumption that you were, here goes:
    I found no need to use the cross-power spectrum and power spectrum blocks
    1... I was looking for speed.
    2... I already had the component spectral data there, for other purposes. From that, it's nothing but addition and multiplication.
    3... The "easy" VIs, assume a time wave input, as I recall. Which means they would take the same spectrum of the same timewave several times, where I only do it once.
    I have attached PNGs of my code.
    The PROCESS CHANNEL vi accepts the time wave and:
    1... Removes DC value.
    2... Integrates (optional, used for certain sensors).
    3... Windows (Hanning, etc. - optional)
    4... Finds spectrum.
    5... Removes spectral mirrors.
    6... Scales into Eng. units.
    7... From there, you COULD use COMPLEX-TO-POLAR, but I don't care about the phase data, and I need the MAG^2 data anyway, so I rolled my own COMPLEX-TO-MAG code.
    The above is done on each channel. The PROCESS DATA vi calls the above with data for each channel. The 1st channel in the list is required to be the reference (stimulus) channel.
    After looping over each channel, we have the Sxx, Syy, and Sxy terms. This code contains some averaging and peak-picking stuff that's not relevant.
    From there, it's straightforward to ger XFER = Sxy/Sxx and COHERENCE = |Sxy|^2 / (Sxx * Syy)
    Note that it uses the MAGNITUDE SQUARED of Sxy. Again, if you use the "easy" stuff, it will do a square-root operation that you just have to reverse - it is obtained faster by the sum of the squares of the real and imag parts.

  • ITunes states 95GB used but in about this mac storage says 124 for audio. Thats a big difference.

    I am running out on space on my MacBook Pro. When I check my iTunes library it states 90.18 GB used but when I go into "About this Mac" under storage I see the audio space used is 124 GB. That's quite a difference - 34 GB. Does anyone know why the difference is so high?

  • 2 user accounts using 1 iCloud drive account, different folders and files for each user.

    I have two user accounts on my Mac. One for work and one for personal use.
    They both share my iCloud and iCloud drive account. My issue is that when I update the files in my work account the changes do not take place when I log into my personal account on my mac.. I find this strange seeing as I am only using one account for both.
    This means when I am working and make folders or rename files and folders they only appear when I view iCloud Drive from that user profile. When I try to view iCloud drive from my personal user account or other iOS devices like my phone the old changes remain.
    Has anyone any ideas why this is?

    Because iCloud drive is not shared between users.  Each account has it's own storage.  It is NOT shared.

    I would like to have the taskbar show a predetermined set of icons (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.) pinned to taskbar when a user first logs into their host machine.   Is this doable through a default GPO setting or do I need to do this via scripting?

  • Fill table using different statements for each field (newbie question)

    Hi all, I'm about to fill table table1 (field1, field2, etc.) using different statements (and maybe variables) for each field.
    My statements are too different to combine them into one query, but my example is simple:
    statement 1:
    SELECT ttt AS field1 FROM dual
    statement 2:
    SELECT yyy AS field2 FROM dual
    Each statement returns one value. Maybe I need some variable for each value, so var_field1 = field1, var_field2 = field2, etc.
    As a result I have to fill table table1 using my variables, so it must be some procedure.
    I know I can do it using one statement below, but I have more than 100 queries, so they should be executed one by one.

    This hasn't got anything to do with Oracle Reports, but here we go anyway. Your query can simply be:
    with t1 as(

    1 row selected.But maybe your example was an over simplification of your problem.

  • I keep track of family totals for fundraising at a school, I want a family name and totals for each fundraiser and then at the end of the year I would like an alphabetized list.  Can I do this in numbers?

    in numbers, how would I make a line for each family (100+)  a column for each fundraiser. and at mid year, and year end be able to print an alphabetical listing?
    example:     entertainment books          Chip Shoppe       Yankee Candle
    Smith          $350                                   $245                    $100
    Total at the end of the line, but I could live without.  I am just trying to lose the paperwork, and have it in the ipad for when parents approach me at meetings.

    Using Numbers '09 (the Mac version), I'd use a table with one header row and two header columns.
    Family     Total     Ent.Books     Chip S.     Y. Candle
    Smith, J      $695        350            245             100
    Jones, T      $765        250            445               70
    An ascending sort on column A will put the families in alphabetical order (and carry the rest of the row along with them).
    The formula =SUM(2) in B2, and filled down from there, keeps the total for each family right beside the family name.
    You could add a Footer row at the bottom to keep totals for each column. Formula for column B: =SUM(B)
    I would leave the currency signs ($) off the amounts—they just clutter up the table.
    This assumes that the features listed are all supported on Numbers for iOS, the version running on your iPad.

    I'm working on a sheet that I want to use to select a specific part based on values created by the sum of values in other cells. I am down to the point where I need to select a low range of numbers
    If the sum of cell D5 equals any sum between 1-15 will equal = part 1
    If the sum of cell D5 equals any sum between 16-23 will equal = part 2 ,
    If the sum of cell D5 equal antsy sum between 24-32 will equal part 3.
    I'm at a loss how to make one formula or combination of formulas do this.

    The confusion arises from your having asked two separate questions, one in the subject line, the other in the body of your initial post.
    1.
    How do I sum only the values greater than zero and less than 7 in a range of cells?
    This formula supplied by SGIII does what you have asked there:
    =SUMIFS(A,A,">0",A,"<7")
    The syntax is:
    SUMIFS(sum-values, test-values, condition, test-values, condition…)
    sum-values ( A ) is the range of cells containing the values to be summed (all the body cells in column A)
    test-values and condition come in pairs. the first names the range of values to be tested, the second names the condition that must be met.
    In this formula, the test-values in each pair are the same as the sum values.
    condition ( ">0" ) is the first condition that must be met by these values. (greater than zero)
    the second condition ( "<7" ) is the second condition that must be met (less than seven)
    To be included in the sum, a value in the list must meet both conditions: It must be greater than 0 AND less than 7. IN SG's example, there are two values that meet both conditions, 2 in A2 and 6 in A5, that meet both conditions. Their sum, 8, is shown in A10, whch is the cell containing the formula.

    This formula supplied by SGIII, and the Lookup table that goes with it, does what you have asked here.
    =VLOOKUP(D5,Lookup::A:B,2,close-match)
    Close-match means 'the largest value that is less than or equal to' the search-value.
    The search-value is the value in D5
    VLOOKUP searches in the leftmost column (A) of the lookup table (columns A and B of the table named Lookup).
    With "close-match" specified:
    any value that is equal to or greater than 0 and less than 16 will be matched by the 0 in A2. VLOOKUP will return the value in the same row of column 2 (B) of the table: "Part 1"
    any value that is equal to or greater than 16 and less than 24 will be matched by the 16 in A3. VLOOKUP will return the value in the same row of column 2 (B) of the table: "Part 2"
    any value that is equal to or greater than 24 will be matched by the 24 in A4. VLOOKUP will return the value in the same row of column 2 (B) of the table: "Part 3"
    While this is not an exact match with your description above, it will perform exactly as you requested IF the value in D5 is never less than 1 and never greater than 32.
    If the possible range is greater than that, I would suggest the changes shown below to the formula and to the lookup table. The column containing numbers is column D, and represents values in D5. Column E shows the result for each value using the given formula and lookup table (LU A). Column F shows results for the same values using the revised formula and lookup tble (LU B):
    Original                              =VLOOKUP(D,LU A :: A:B,2,1)
    Revised formula: =IFERROR(VLOOKUP(D,LU B :: A:B,2,1),"N//A")
    In the revision, IFERROR takes care of the negative values in D2 and D3. The zero value in D4 and in the last row of column D and the overflow values (greater than 32) are handled by the revisions to the lookup table.

    you are defeating the purpose of trigger which is before insert so just rewrite the query and remove the column for which value will be inserted using the created sequence and your code will work.

  • Help with Appleworks-Spreadsheet - "Dragging down formula for entire column

    I have Appleworks 6 and am attempting to duplicate what I can do in Excel - Namely, entering a simple formula (=a1*.20) and dragging the lower righthand corner down to duplicate for the entire column. I know that Appleworks doesn't mimic many of Excel's features but am wondering what the Apple variation of this is?

    You can "Fill Down" (or Fill Right) from the Calculate menu. Enter your formula, text, etc. it the first cell, click on that cell & drag the cursor until all of the cells you want to populate are highlighted, the choose your fill. Unless the original formula has absolute references, the filled formulas will be relative to the original cell. Say C1 is the first cell & the formula is =A1+B1, filling down from C1, the formula in C6, for example, will be =A6+B6.

  • Why won't 'IF-Statement' Formula work for an entire column?

    I am trying to make an IF formula subtract a cells value from another cells value, creating a 'balance'.  The formula is working when selecting one cell for each part of the formula, but is not working when I try to use the formula for multiple cells (entire column).  The formula I am using for single cells is as follows:
    =IF(Monthly Timeline :: F2="Citi",Monthly Timeline :: D2+1000,1000)
    The formula works with way, when I select the pop-up menu in F2 to say "Citi" it will add the value of D2 to 1000 and give me a proper solution, but when I change it to the entire column as follows:
    =IF(Type="Citi",Amount+1000,1000)
    The formula for entire columns 'Type' and 'Amount' does not produce a proper solution, it will display 1000, no matter how many values in the 'Amount" column have "Citi" selected in the pop-up menu in the 'Type' column.
    I know there is a way to make this formula work but I can't seem to figure out what I am doing wrong  any help would be greatly appreciated.

    the function if() does not apply to a column.  the functions sumif() and sumifs() do apply to columns.  You can get detailed information regarding these functions in the function browser.  To open the function browser select the menu item:
