Using archived or rejected leads

Hi, all--
I am wanting to understand how archived or rejected leads fit into the CRM process.
If a lead loses momemtum and will not be converted to an opportunity, if one archives it because it may warrent revisiting later, does one later change the status? It doesn't seem to be possible accept as a import, which is laborious. If a new lead is created, there is no link between the archived or rejected lead and the new lead.
How are other people using archived or rejected leads?
Thanks.

Hello,
We use the following within Leads Conversion.
"Convert to Opportunity" - If the Contact is interested in what we are offering
"Reject" - The client is not interested in what is on offer.
"Archived" - We have tried to call the contact twice with no answer so no contact has been made.
"Qualified" - We have made the first initial contact but have not been able to successfully make contact with the individual.
If i was to use your sales process i would lead the lead in status qualified until a decision has been made to archieve or convert the lead. With regards to the importing that is correct the status field cannot be changed through import.

  • Using Archiver to replicate tables

    Hi,
I'm trying to replicate a singular table between two instances content server using archiver.
    CREATE TABLE TEST
    ID NVARCHAR2(20) NOT NULL,
    SCHCREATETIMESTAMP TIMESTAMP(6),
    SCHMODIFYTIMESTAMP TIMESTAMP(6),
    SCHSOURCEID NVARCHAR2(50)
When I insert or update records using "Export Archiver" in manual mode works good!, but in this mode, the archiver doesn't get the records deleted.
I try to use "export Archiver" in automatic mode, but seems don't work because don't get the changes on the records (update/insert or delete) .
Does anybody using this feature ?.
    Content Server 7.5.1
    Thanks.

Be careful before engaging in dml apply handler doing such weird things... Take time to experiment basic functionality before.
I have not had the time to do such experiment yet myself... but I'd rather be careful with new features until I saw them work satisfactorily.
I personnally would investigate using materialized views for what you describe.

  • Sync database using archive log files

    Hi,
I am having two databases A nd B. A is the live Database. I need to replicate the A database and its name as B. I had done the replication using hotbackup.
    1. create the B database
    2. then take the hotbackup and copy the files to the B database
    3. Then delete the controlfile, logfiles and datafiles then paste the files from A database.
    4. Recreate the control files in B database
    5. Now the B database is up and running.
But my question is in A database is still live and its generating archive log files. I would like to know how to sync the B Database similar to A database using archive log files.
    Kindly share me an example..
    Rgds..

As you have renamed and opened the clone database, it is no longer the same DBID / Database Incarnation as the source. As you point out, it is not a standby database.
You cannot apply archivelogs from the source database to this clone.
You have to consider [Oracle Streams|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14229/toc.htm] to implement data replication.

  • Is there any way to use archived system?

Hi, i was using OS10.4.9, but Safari and the Help utility stopped working. So I was told to reinstall 10.4.0 using archive and install. However this didn't fix the problem--still no safari or help--so I'd like to go back to my archived system. Isn't this the purpose of an archive?
How can i do this and delete or archive the current 10.4.0 system?
    Thanks.
    -wayne

    wayne:
The Archive and Install feature saves your settings, preferences and data, as well as third party apps that are in the Applications folder. However, it does not archive the OS itself. To be able to go back to the old OS, you will have had to backup/clone your entire HDD to an external Firewire HDD, then you would be able to clone it back.
If you are unable to get the wrinkles in your current installation ironed out you may need to backup, at least, your Users Folder, and then do a complete re-install. Before you do that, however, if you don't mind repeating it, what are the specific problems that are troubling, and what measures have you taken to remedy them up until now?
    Good luck.

  • How do I use archive and install to restore my CD drive?

I have a 2.66 GHz MacPro with current leopard software. My extended warranty just ran out. Before it ran out I began having problems with my CD drive in that some CD's or DVD's will be recognized while others' will not open. After talking extensively to Apple, they told me to do an archive and install with the original installation discs. I've been putting this off (even allowing the warranty to expire) because I'm paranoid that I'm going to lose precious data even though I have a current Time Machine backup.
So my question is do I just do the archive and install and hope for the best? Will I then have to upgrade back to the current version? I remember doing an archive and install a couple of times before to upgrade OS's and a few things didn't work until they were tweaked - lost code numbers, some Adobe products, etc.
Or is there a CD/DVD drive 'package' on the OSX install CD? Could I just reload this? If so can anyone tell me where to look? I would love to do this because everything else is working perfectly and I don't want to mess things up.
Note: I'm sure it's a software thing and not hardware related after consulting with Apple.
    Thanks for the help,
    Lou

How to Perform an Archive and Install
An Archive and Install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have sufficient free space for a second OS X installation which could be from 3-9 GBs depending upon the version of OS X and selected installation options. The free space requirement is over and above normal free space requirements which should be at least 6-10 GBs. Read all the linked references carefully before proceeding.
    1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU and return to the installer.
    2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
    3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
    4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
    5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
    6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update.

  • Recovery question using archive log

    HPUX 11X
    Oracle 10.2.0.2
I have a standby database that the customers want to test the ability to fail over. They also want to test the data integrity of the standby once it's brought on line as the primary.
I've already told the customer that any writes that they do on the standby during the test time WILL be lost. I plan on doing a incomplete recovery back to a specific sequence number / archive log when the tests are complete.
My plan is to take note of the current sequence number just before I bring the standby live. When all is said and done, I was going to do a recover back to the sequence number one PRIOR to that one. Then when I place the db back in standby mode, it will sync back up to the primary.
What I need to know is if this is a good or a bad idea. Should I plan on doing it differently and for what reason.
    Thanks! :)

Use flashback database to recover the former primary database to a new standby.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14239/scenarios.htm#i1049997
Therefore the changes made on standby won't be lost (unless you want to lose them).
If your databases do not have Flashback Database feature enabled, you can use incomplete recovery instead.
I think Flashback Database should be your first option.

  • Edit in iMovie using archived iDVD project?

Well it looks like I may done something rather stupid. Before the holidays I produced a family vacation video, burned the DVDs and sent them out to all my family members. After watching it they pointed out some typos in some captions and some editing mistakes, so I wanted to go back and fix those and burn new DVDs. But I just realized I'd archived the iDVD project but not the iMovie project. I trashed the iMovie project to recover disk space. So now I'm left with just the iDVD archive.
Is there any way to recover my iMovie project from the iDVD archive?
    (I can't believe I trashed my iMovie files. That just isn't like me at all. <shame>, <embarrassment>, <lesson learned>)
    iMovie HD
    iDVD 6
    - Lofty

You can recover the movie from the archived DVD project but the movie may be in several sections/clips.  Just Control-click on the archived iDVD project file and select "Show Package Contents" from the contextula menu.  Then go to the Resources/MPEG.nobackup folder. The sections/clips should be in there.
You can import those clipes into iMovie but won't be able to edit the captions, only cut them out and put new captions in over new clips.  If you added captions to a black background and not over the movie itself you could cut out those sections and add new sections.  But if you have to cut out parts of the movie with captions to add new ones that could lose a good bit of the original movie.  In that case I thiink going with the typos would be the better solution.
When you're done use the Share ➙ Media Browser menu option with Size = Large.  This will give a better final image than Share  ➙ iDVD will.  You will have to delete the existing movie file from the iDVD project and add the new, editied movie.

  • Real - Time Apply some times uses Archived log file

    Hi All,
I have a doubt on real time apply in Oracle 10g 10.2.0.4 version where arch process has been configured on primary database and standby has been configured for maximum performance mode with real time apply.
But in standby alert log file i use to find below message rarely
    Media Recovery Log /oraclearch/oraarch/ctdr/5548.dbf
Media Recovery Log /oraclearch/oraarch/ctdr/5549.dbfSo my doubt is why archived files are applied as standby has been configured for real time apply where it should apply only from standby online redo log files.
Also i dont find any information on standby database in the view v$standby_log that these standby online log files have been archived in archived column, so how to find how much of data has been written by rfs process on SRL's...
    -Yasser

    hi,
As the remote file server (RFS) process writes the redo data to standby redo log files on the standby database, log apply services can recover redo from standby redo log files as they are being filled.
    please check http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14239/log_apply.htm

  • Including Applets in jsp without using Archive

Can any one help me to include the Applet without using the Archive attribute in either <jsp:plugin> or <applet> tag. I am using WebLogic workshop8.1 on win 200 platform , it builds class files in a seperate directory which starts with .workshop dirctory. I should include that directory as the codebase for the applet.

yeah. don't use it. You specify the code (class) and the codebase tag, and the classes have to be loose on the server under the package directory structure that the classes' package is set up for.

  • Using "Archive All" with individual clips?

When importing video from my AVCHD camera, I like to use the "Archive All" option at the bottom of the Import window.  That way I can quickly just transfer the raw files to a hard drive and import the clips I want for editing into iMovie later.
Ideally I'd like to archive individual clips in this same manner.  Typically my camera will have clips from several unrelated events I need to archive.  I'd like to archive the clips from each event into separate archives.  However it seems like the only option is "Archive All", which puts everything on the camera into a single archive.  If I immediately imported the video from my camera after each event I shot this wouldn't be such a problem.  But sometimes I forget or shoot multiple events in one day, so this functionality would be useful.
Just to make sure, I tried selecting individual clips and then doing "Archive All", but as I expected it ignores the checkboxes and just archives everything.
Is there any way to archive individually selected clips?

That makes sense, but my problem is finding the events in the archive files before importing into iMovie.  Right now I give the archives long names like "<data>, eventName1, eventName2, etc.>".  It would be a little cleaner to have a single archive per event instead.  Being able to select clips would also allow me to not archive clips I don't want, saving space.
It's not a huge deal, it just seems like it would have been easy functionality to add, but I guess it's not high on the priority list.  Maybe next version...

  • Using "x" to reject images when culling

I'm using the edit out system to cull my photos. After importing the pictures, I mark all of them using "P" for picks. Then, in library mode, I view them in lop mode, "L" or "F" for full screen and press “X” to mark an image as a “reject” when it's not worth keeping. It SHOULD disappear from view & go to the next image, but it is not. Help!
I'm doing everything this article says to do A Simple 3 Step Culling Workflow: The “Editing Out” Culling System - Digital Photography School

Use shift+X if you want it to advance automatically to the next image, in sequence. This is used where the images remain displayed in the Grid / the Filmstrip; you have just changed which one is enlarged as Loupe view.
The method in your link, had an extra step: setting up a view filter which continually monitors whether images are rejected or not.
Changing a particular image's status by pressing the X key, makes it ineligible to continue being displayed in such a filtered view. So it seems to disappear in that case.

  • Database Recovery using Archive files

    Dears,
Due to some issue our database get crashed.
We have saturday night offline backup and archive backup till yesterday night.
We have restored offline backup and system is Up but it is on saturday night state.
We want to apply these archive files to make the system state to current.
In restore our control file also get replace with our saturday night control file status.
We have copied our archive files in oraarch directory.
Now when using brtools I am applying archive files:
    Command executing in brtools:
    recover from '/oracle/<SID>/oraarch' database
    it shows
    unknow command beginning
    No recovery required
On sqlplus also when I execute
    sql>recover database;
    It shows no recovery required.
    When I give command:
    sql>recover database using backup control file;
    it ask for some {file name| AUTO | CANCEL}
I give first file name of oraarch it shows "Can not access the file".
    File permissions are ok.
I give AUTO, It also then do not do anything.
Please suggest the correct method to make my system in latest current date.
    Shivam

    Hi Shivam,
This is absolutely normal that during the restore your control files will be replaced by the old one which were backed up during database backup.
Logic is that you can not apply the redolgs which are having the timestamps older than your  restored datafile's / controlfile's timestamp.
If your DB is not yet opened, you can check the status of your database using below command which will tell you, till what timestamp your data is restored or currently available.
    select to_char(CHECKPOINT_TIME,'yyyy-mm-dd:hh24:mi:ss') from v$datafile where file#=1;

    > From command I want to know "from backup control file"....Do SAP take backup of control file as in system only old is

    > Shivam
    >
recover database using backup controlfile.....  this command does not backup the controlfile . this will make use of old controlfile only which came along with the restore  and start the recovery using this controlfile only.
Its just make use of available controlfile ..No backup will be triggered.
Please make a note that after DB restore; ..recovery is possible only in case database is not yet opened in OPEN state.

  • Maximum export size using Archiver 11g

Does anyone know the maximum size for an export action using the archiver utility?
Thank you very much in advance.

There should be no theoretical limit.
The limiting factor is going to be file system space availability. (In other words, if you export the entire repository, does your underlying file system have enough capacity to essentially duplicate your current content?)
Your question is a bit random, though. Is there a business use case here?
