Can anyone Please help me by telling from where to download comm api.. Actually i have a code written which is working fine in pcs in which we do transactions through serial ports. but not in other pcs. do we need a new driver for running the code or have we to change some settings. Am new to this.Please help its urgent...If you can you can also please give me some codes which will help me..

I jusy upgraded my iPhone 4 with the new IOS7 update. Now when I hook my phone up to my Apple Mac using the USB port, Itunes no longer opens my device. SO I can't move songs on and off the phone. Using Call Procedure - Urgent - Please Help
I have a login page asking users to enter id and password. From there I'm calling a jsp page which in turn calls a javabean class. The javabean class will take inputs (id and password) from the login page and pass them into an Oracle store procedure which in turn validates the id and password and returns 4 outputs: name, phone, address and log_status_code.
If log_status_code = success, the procedure will return in a
jsp page with these outputs : name, phone, address
If log_status_code = failure, the procedure will NOT return anything and users will be redirect to an error jsp page.

I have made a PJC to use a RS232 port from oracle forms for Hypercom POS terminal..
Here is my code (in short i will post a component on PJC site (here I can't post a complete code because of 30000 char limit ;) )..
If you look in method "public void init(IHandler handler) " I make a download of rxtxSerial.dll from my forms server and then I call System.loadLibrary("rxtxSerial");"
In other way you must put the dll in windows/system32 path.. This dll is native library for rs232 communication.
If you look at the method "public void doTransaction" you can see the initialization of comm port...
With inputStream and OutputStream you read and write datas to/from your rs232 port..
p.s: the code is not complete but you can see how I made the rs232 communication (also the code is not final ;) )

i wanted to change port number from 7777 to 8080,
due to Security Reasons, i have to change the port from 7777 to 8080
in which File i need to do the Changes & what are the Steps to be Followes,

Many thanksThis is unlikely to be any help becaue your URL specified 'pls' in the path indicating that you are using mod_plsql, but but you might like to check that you are not inadvertently servicing your Apex instance with the embedded PL/SQL gateway.
Check to see if you are using EPG with the simple sql :
SELECT DBMS_XDB.GETHTTPPORT FROM DUAL;
If value returned is 7777 then you appear to be using EPG.
Change the port using EXEC DBMS_XDB.SETHTTPPORT(8080);
And then navigate your http://10.33.20.6:8080/pls/apex
As I said it's unlikely to be any help but wort checking all the same. -
Identifying a comm port using java communication API
HI ALL,
i'm using the communication API to detect the comm port to which my modem is attached.
i say CommPortIdentifier c = CommPortIdentifier.getPortIdentifier("COM3");
then i SOP(c.getName())
i get an exception saying noSuchPortException
i've put the javax.comm.properties file in jdk/lib but to no avail.
i also have a win32com.dll file that is there inside lib.
but this hasn't helped. Now the properties file has a driver mentioned. do i have 2 download that driver or does it come with the OS (i've no idea)
i would be helpful if anybody could help me out with this problem.Try putting tha javax.comm.properties file in you <java>/jre/lib folder as well... It worked for me !

Hi. I have an iPhone 4s. The music doesn't play when I connect it to my car stereo. It used to play previously but stopped playing all of a sudden. My phone is getting charged when I cut it to the USB port. Please help with this. The iOS is 6.1.3.

Reading Data from serial (Comm) Port in developer200 forms 6i
Dears,
I have developed an application using Dev2k forms 6i.
I need to read data from a device (weigh bridge) that is attached to PC on comm port.
scenario: when a vehicle comes on the Weigh bridge it calculates its weight and send it to the PC on serial port.
on when-button-pressed event I want to get data into a text field on form.
If any one has developed such form please help me.

I'm trying to use serial port to configure a device. I've installed the javacomm20-win32, and copied the comm.jar and javax.comm.properties file in c:\j2sdk1.4.2_04\lib and the win32com.dll in c:\j2sdk1.4.2_04\bin and then added comm.jar to my classpath in Netbeans. The problem is the serialdemo example included in javacomm20-win32.zip doesn't work because it can't find any port. It seems like javax.comm.properties is not installed but it is ! I don't know where's the problem, I would appreciate any help.

and a parallel port (com1,com2 and LPT1) but it found no ports and throws
as follows,

found: 0 open ports
i placed .properties file in ..\jdk1.5.0\jre\lib
comm jar file in ..\jdk1.5.0\jre\lib\ext
and WIN32COM.DLL in ..jre\bin
am i doing right?

please help me on how to open the comm ports..Try this, It workd for me. Before doing this make sure you have serial ports on you r computer by following these steps:
open "regedit"
go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" > HARDWARE > DEVICEMAP
and check if there is any serial ports. If htere is any, then use following program to enumerate throught the ports:

I am programming a GUI with NetBeans 4.1, which uses javax.comm API to use serial port of computer. I have finished my GUI and it always run OK when I use NetBeans. I installed properly the API and I selected the API to be used also in NetBeans. Then I created a .jar file to run the program, but when I run it out of NetBeans, i get this interruption:
