Any good idea  or good architecture for cool ERP, please come to me.
BTW, welcome people knowing ERP or Flex knowledge to join free ERP develoment.

Hey Tomby,
Good to know about your idea. I was thinking on similar line, although my motivation was only 'fun' to do this. However, I have good expertise over other RIA platforms like YUI, jQuery etc. Let me know if I can help you any where. I am available at [email protected]

  • Using flex for air 2.0

    Hi,
I don't know if anybody will be able to help. I use a company to create software for me. They have been using Flex to create a menu system that runs in the Air application. The software was running fine when using Air 1.5. However, since the update to 2.0 there are now issues with the software.
Are the coding practices of the company I am using wrong? Should they be designing with Air 2.0 in mind?
Obviously i understand that this isn't an issue with Adobe. But I am concerned that this company will not tell me the whole truth and if this would be better solved using legal advice?
I appreciate any help you can give.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Sorry your running into problems with Voddler.  There aren't any known issues with AIR on Danish XP systems.  Have you tried contacting Voddler to see what they have to say?

  • Developing a web system from scratch - What to use?

    Hi
I am considering developing a web system in Java from scratch. I am a very experienced PHP programmer and have been a part of a development team that has a lot of systems such as CRM, CMS and so forth. Right now we need to develop a central management console in another, more powerful language. Java is the preferred choice but i would like to know what the best way to go about it is?
In PHP for example, we used Creole for the database abstraction, Smarty for the template engine and Apache for the web server. In Java i am looking for a solution that:
1 - Is database independent, or at least supports the main databases without needing to change any code
2 - Is relatively quick to develop in/learn
3 - If a framework, then maybe has a MVC paradigm
4 - Preferably uses XSLT for the display, but does not have to
5 - Is among the top 2 or 3 ways that people would normally do this
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for your replies. The article link was really informative. I have narrowed it down to Flex or Spring and will play around with them to see the best one.

  • Using the following erp system with oracle

    Dear all,
Does anyone have experience in using the Infor ERP LN with oracle. Are they fully compatible...the reason why I am asking is to make a good arguement why our company needs to oracle when we migrate over to our new ERP system which is infor ERP LN. currently the vendors are trying to have us change to sql sever.

The vendor itself should be able to tell you whether they are certified against Oracle. I would definitely official confirmation from the vendor themselves, else you might find yourself in a lot of trouble if it turns out that it isn't certified and you have major problems.
Saying 'I asked a guy on a forum' wouldn't do anything to help keep your job in that case...

  • Using Java to Develop Expert System

Can anyone help me to find some information about how to use JAVA to develop an expert system

You can build expert systems with JAVA - that is not a problem. For starting, a good place will be Philip LaPlant's book. It does give good insight into expert systems.
With Java, the systems might get a bit slow though, the processing in these systems are usually very high.

  • Can I use IIS for flex portal development?

    Hello,
pulling 10-25 million rowsYou will never want to show that many records on a page or html based report, the page weight would be absolutely huge along with your network load (this would be the case in any web enviroment), even google which I will have to assume has many more records than you do only shows 10 records returned at a time.
Results 1 - 10 of about 3,510,000,000 for htmlApplication Express can handle sql queries against that data, the question you really should be researching is what it takes to create queries that perform well against such a dataset

  • How to find Mobile device OS name and version using Flex?

is there anyway to get device information like OS name and version using flex 4.5.1 or 4.6 SDK. i am developing a project in Flex which needs to identify the end user mobile platform like Android, iOS.. and its version like Android means 2.1,2.2,etc..
Anyone can help me on this?

I don't know that there is a proprietary driver. In fact, I'm sure there isn't because I never installed one. I figured there was some code file somewhere that dealt with keyboards. Yes, I have dealt with the developer, they say to tell Apple there is a problem. I have been putting it off and waiting to update since 10.6.3, so the problem is getting a little old. Do I even know there is a problem? I'm not sure what this means. I do know that when I update my operating system past 10.6.2 my keyboard no longer works, and I have to use a stock Apple keyboard to run a time machine reinstall. Why else would I be going through this?

  • Need suggestion on importing BC SET : UKM_DCD_CUST in SAP ERP system

    Dear Gurus,
Client wants me to import BC SET : UKM_DCD_CUST into SAP ERP system. I have found BC SET : UKM_DCD_CUST in T code SCPR20.
I have read most of the SCN discussion and got two way to import BC SET into ERP system as given below. But I need the appropriate way to do this. Can any one help me in this?
    1. SCPR20 -> Activate BC set -> create customizing request to import into another system as per link :Business Configuration Sets (BC Sets) and their use - Basis Corner - SCN Wiki
    2. Create TR in SE01 in 000 and import into required client  as per below proc:
    Usual procedure
    1) BC SETS will be attached to SAP note usually. Download it and unzip it , you will get a *.bcs file
    2) Call transaction SCPR20  BC set --> Upload In the dialog box that then appears, specify the files that you unpacked
Import the set BC into a package that you have defined. activate it with the "Expert mode"
    3) You will also get a *.txt file with prog id , obj etc entries , then you have to go to SE09 and create a transport request in the source client of your Solution Manager system (client 000). Open the *.txt and copy the entries it contains into the transport request. Use transaction SCC1 to import the data in your Solution Manager client(s)
    Thanks,
    Anand Aseri

2). Client copies bring the Customization data but not WorkBench . So you might have to do transport of copies from Old Dev to >New Dev.
So you are saying that the system copy from Production will not bring Workbench data and I need to bring Workbench data by transports?
*system copy from Production will bring Workbench data also, but when you do client copy from development system again on top of client which already has production customization, data and workbench requests, Production customization and data will be overwritten from development customization and data (it depends on the profile you choose for the client copy) *
However  Development Workbench requests are more and also has ongoing development work which might not be available in production client and those (Ongoing development workbench requests) you need to import in new system as transport of copies after the client copy
3). If you do system copy from Production and do client copy from dev...obviously Prod customization will be overwritten with Dev rite ?
That's what I expect to happen,
Ok, however, You might need to get Development Work too from the old dev system and don't forget about setting up of partner profiles in WE20.
It's just a thought ,  Do you have testing client in Dev, if not,You can leave the production client in development system and use it as testing client.
Create new client which is client copy of Old Dev and import WorkBench requests *
    Thanks,
    Arjun

  • Tomcat web.xml "display-name" using flex.messaging.MessageBrokerServlet

           Hello,
When my web application starts with the BlazeDS servlet flex.messaging.MessageBrokerServlet defined in the web.xml we have an error because in the display-name defined at top level in web.xml we have some text containing character ':'. The error is traced to inside the function
             flex.management.BaseControl.getObjectName()
Which gets the object name, and this function calls
       BaseControl.getApplicationId()
    which finally calls
    ServletConfig.getServletContext().getServletContextName()
This will return or display-name from the web.xml with all  it's text. This text contains among other characters the character ':'.  We use this tag for the display in the Tomcat Manager to see version  number and other of deployed project.
After retrieving this name it is appended in the getObjectName() function to a buffer, this StringBuffer that already contains flex.runtime. and  now this name is appended (still with all that we are using for Tomcat  Manager with ':' character and other). After the name, other things are  appended. Our problem is that, after constructing this StringBuffer an instance of javax.management.ObjectName is created. In it's constructor it takes a String name  as input. This String is parsed in base of characters ':', '*', '?',  '\n' and so on, and since we have some of these characters in our  display-name it all goes wrong.
My question is, if this is a bug, a limitation or if it is documented that using flex.messaging.MessageBrokerServlet we can not use certain characters in the display-name of the web.xml?

  • Oracle Linux 6 and Oracle DB for ERP System

    All,
I have a few questions about using Oracle Linux 6 and the Oracle Database for our ERP Server. We are using a System that run off of Appache httpd and Tomcat and connects to an Oracle Database. We currently are running as a hardware installed server, with Oracle Linux 5 and 10gR2. We are looking to migrate to a Virtual environment as we run VMWare for all our other Servers and services. I have started the install of a development/test system. I wanted to install Oracle Enterprise Linux 6 x86_64 along with either 10gR2 or 11gR2. I noticed that 10gR2 was not certified on OEL6 hence why the thought of moving to 11gR2. The one issue I have is the ERP system is not a x86_64 system is there any way of running 32 bit apps on a 64bit OEL install? I would need to compile a few small 32bit C code programs so would need 32bit libs to compile against. Any support would be greatly appreciated. I know that OEL has an i386 install but I also know that the x86_64 has more support for Oracle DB.
    P.S.
Our ERP System is programmed via a small company that does not certify anything. They have taken the approach if it works it works (not happy with this but it is what it is). So the main issue is I need to get Appache Httpd, Tomcat running along with ability to compile a few small 32bit apps.
    Edited by: Rever75 on May 7, 2012 1:45 PM

x86-64 is an extension of the x86 32-bit CISC instruction set. The 64-bit extension provides support for long mode to address larger virtual and physical address spaces.
You can generally run 32-bit applications on a x86_64 bit CPU and a x86_64 kernel, provided you have the appropriate i386 libraries installed. When you install Oracle 11gR2 11.2.0.1 for x86_64, appropriate i386 libraries are a prerequisite.
Since x86 on a x86_64 CPU is still hardware, there will be no performance penalty to run 32-bit application. Btw, you cannot run 64-bit applications using a i386 kernel. The only exception I know is Mac OS X.

  • Strange Error using Flex Profiler

    Hi,
I am trying to use the Flex Profiler to figure out where to put my time when optimizing the code of a .swf file generated in Flash CS4. In Flex, I select "Profile External Application" for the "Profile" menu item. Then I select "Launch the application manually from Ooutside Flex Builder" and set the timeout to 60000 milliseconds. I then go over to Flash CS4 and start a debug session of the application I want to profile. This should make the profiler pick up the session and give me the stats I need. But I get a couple of weird errors in the Flex Builder.
The first error is a message box the pops up and says: "Profiling can only be performed on the debug version of an application."  I am definitely running the Flash application in debug mode... The only thing that I can think may be a problem is that I am using the Flash Facebook API and linking to the external .swc file for that API. Could that cause a problem?
The second error is an exception that gets thrown in Flex Builder and is displayed in the Console. The exception is this:
flash.swf.SwfFormatException: unrecognized fill style type: 202
        at flash.swf.TagDecoder.decodeMorphFillStyle(TagDecoder.java:982)
        at flash.swf.TagDecoder.decodeMorphLinestyles(TagDecoder.java:914)

        at com.adobe.flash.profiler.internal.PlayerSession.run(PlayerSession.java:383)
        at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
It looks like it has something to do with a fill style, but I am just doing standard Flash stuff... No version of Flash Player has had any problems with the .swf file, but somehow the profiler is not liking something.
Does anyone have any idea about what is going on here? Apparently the profiler is a great tool to use to optimize ones code, and I would really love to use it.
    Thanks!!!

I would not start a debug session in CS4.  I would just find the SWF generated by the last debug session and launch the standalone player with that SWF.  There might be some contention in having both CS4 and the FB profiler trying to hook up to the same SWF.

  • Using E-recuitment 600 on ERP 6.0 Ehp4 (NW 7.01)

    Hello,
We have upgraded ERP system to ERP6.0 Ehp4 on NW 7.0 Ehp1. Now we are
planning to implement E-Recruitment. We are thinking of using
development system in production support landscape for E-recruitment
implementation project.. yes same development system in production
support and project landscape......and therefore we are trying to
minimize the application on support packs/ OSS notes.
We are also planning for intergrated E-recruitment backend system and
separate E-recruitment frontend for external candidates.
    Question is:
    Can we implement E-recruitment 600 (NOT 604) on ERP 6.0 Ehp4 (on
NW7.01)? Will there be any real issues? Any reference documentation is
    highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Krishna

Even on non-Unicode system you should replace all matchcodes that are still required by search helps.
    <...>
    > 3.Note 1330256  recomends to apply support pack or to apply the Note 1330256  ,but we can do it only at upgraded version.
Yes - it avoids dumping with the dump mentioned in the note
    > 4.How to identify the matchcodes
    <...>
You can use the program TWTOOL01 to determine the existence of matchcodes.
    <...>
    > 5.How to delete them
    <...>
You can then use the function module DD_MCOB_DEL to delete matchcode objects, and the function module DD_OBJ_DEL to delete matchcode IDs.
    <...>
    > 6.Impact of deleteing matchcodes
None since they were replaces by search helps.
