Using input filed in WAD

hi guys,
I have a requirement like this, I want to get a date from input field in WAD ( that is user should enter the date in input field and by geting the date it should fetch in the query according to that date)
the Date input should be in Calender format so that user can select it from the calender ok
So i want some java scripts to bring a calender in the input box, and by gettting the calender date the values should be fetched according to that.
pls help me guys its urgent

Hi
I wanted to do something as follows
in drop down u have options rite so i wanted those drop down options in a inputfield
meaning when the user clicks on some button besides the input field then i want to open a drop down kinda box where all the options are displayed in the form of a tree and the user selects it it should be populated in the input text field ( i know that we can use a pop up window and a table with all the options inside it but i want this in a tree view and that to the dropdown like box should be xactly below the input field) any help will b appreciated.

there is some reason behind why i am using input field for achieving this drop down functionality
i have achieved what i want by doing the following way
i have changed my layout to row layout and in the first row i have created the input filed and a button
and in the second row i have created the tree structure i wanted and made it as invisible ok
when the user clicks the button the tree will open up and the according to what the user selects i have set to the context from which the input field is set ( so the selected thing has ben displaying)
the problem in this method is
all the contents which are after the row 3 are moving down when i am making the tree visible which i dont want
so i am searching for the alternatives. i know that EVS or SVS will help but according to my need i want a tree with options rather than table with options( as the case with EVS or SVS )
any ideas will help me alot

In the out put I want to give the some new values to that field s_number.
That new value I pass to the another prgroam ZMAT_LABEL_FIRST .

Error while sending the data using input schedule

Dear Friends,
I am unable to send the data using input schedule due to following error is occur while sending the data.
The Error Message : Member (H1) of dimension (ENTITY) is not a base member (parent or formula)
Can anyone please help me to resolve the above error.

Hi,
You are trying to send data to a parent/node, you can only send data in BPC to lowest-level children (base mamabers) of any dimension.
"H1" is a parent in the entity dimension so you should try sending to a child.

JS error while using input fields with type=file on XP SP2

Hi all,
we found a new problem in applications which use input fields with type=file running in a browser on Microsoft Windows XP with SP2.
A typical test layout might look like:

When you add a link without the fully qualified path (for example pic01.jpg instead of c:\pictures\pic01.jpg) and click on the 'Send' button, nothing happens and you get a Javascript error 'Access denied'.
The solution can be found in the MS Knowledge Base article 892442:

How to use input box LOV in query panel (search region)

Hi,
We are having JDeveloper version 11.1.2.4.0
In one of the JSF page, we are showing some data (absences).
Requirement is to add search region at the top so that user can filter the data, based on search parameters like Business Group, Job etc.
The search parameters are inter-dependent e.g. Job is dependent on Business Group. So when user selects some particular Business Group, Job search field should show jobs for that Business Group only.
This works fine we use Choice List for both Business Group and Job.
However since there are huge number of jobs, Job choice list makes page rendering very slow.
So we tried to use Input box with LOV for Job.
But now when job is selected in the LOV popup and returned to main page, job search field shows job id instead of job name.
Please note that our base VO (AbsencesVO) contains JobId attribute. We have added List of Values on JobId, which fetches Job Name through JobVO1 view accessor.
How to make Job LOV field show selected Job Name instead of ID? Kindly advise.

Timo, the link mentioned by you talks about showing IDs (DepartmentId, ManagerId etc.) in the search region. I need to show names in the form of Input box LOV.
Bangaram, as per your suggestion I tried using transient JobName attribute. However now when I select any value in the Job LOV popup and return to main page, it shows first Job Name in the Job Name search field.
Also when I click 'Search' button in Search panel, it shows error - Attempt to set a parameter name that does not occur in the SQL: BindJobName
Please note that I have added both JobName and JobId in the List configuration as you suggested.
In View criteria, I have removed previous item (condition) on JobId and added condition on JobName.(This is required because JobId condition shows JobId search field)
I also tried making JobName dependent on JobId..still same behaviour.
Kindly advise.

Updating data in input filed

Hi Iam new to WD java i have one issue ie,
I have one input field name is FIRST in that I will select one value u2026.. and I have other input filed that is SECOND I will select one value Based on this two fields I have one more filed called THIRD. when ever I select the above values the related account number will be coming from backend u2026..
Now the problem after entering the data atlast when we update the filed with new data in First filed automatically the THIRD filed which consists of data should be blank
can you please tell me the logic of this how to do in terms of coding pls ....

There is "onEnter" event for Input UI element. Write an action and set this action for "onEnter" event of the FIRST input field . In this action, set the context attribute for the THIRD Input field to empty string "".

Getting access denied error while importing file using input type="file"

Hi All,
I am using struts application wherein I need to import file for some purpose.I have used input type="file" for the same which goes like:
<input type="file" id="uploadFile" name="uploadFile" size="50">
I have the import button on which I have used onClick event to call javascript function submitValues() used to validate all the fields from the page which goes like:
<input type="button" name="select" value="Import" class="CSSButton" onClick="javascript:submitValues();">
The JS function then in turn submits the form and calls the action.The problem is sometimes even when the correct path is specified for the file to be imported results in access denied error.This error comes sometimes and other times it works fine.But when this error comes,I need to relogin into the application and then it works fine.I am using IE7 for this.
Any idea why I am getting access denied error while importing? Has it got something to do with IE7 version or with the input type="file" which is being used here?

About your second question:
go to sap transaction SE37 and check the type of the parameter that your RFC is expecting.
usually RFCs expects dates as strings in the following format: YYYYMMDD
then you should write something like:
input.setS_FDate(new String());
and later, before executing the RFC:
input.setS_FDate("20051205");

WebI 4.0 using BEx Query - #TOREFRESH when using input control

Once I refresh my webI report for certain month range and then I use input control for analysing my data within that month range. It always ask for refresh "#TOREFRESH".
The above happens also if I have lot of formula variables in my report then it always ask for refresh when I use input controls on different member.
Please let me know if this is a known issue.

#TOREFRESH normally indicates that the returned data have dependencies for which you need to manually refresh again to pull the correct data however this would incorrectly appear under some circumstances.

Chiming in here to 2nd Joost's statement above. As of BPC 5.1 version, it is not possible to update master data from an Input schedule.
Whether that's possible in other products or with BPC 7.0 NW (currently in Ramp-up), is another story. For now, the general answer is that it's not possible.
This is a known area for improvement with BPC at this time, and we're sure to hear more about either integration with NetWeaver or some other methods of making things more dynamic, or with SSIS packages, etc.. in the future.

When you write the field, did you try to play with its alignment?
Try this:
DATA: l_bdmng TYPE bdmng.
WRITE l_bdmng left-JUSTIFIED INPUT ON.
It is not going to give your cursor the last position, but at least you will have a different behaviour.

Need right value to Load/Read Velocity Using Input/Return Vectors

I have a servo motor with a encoder feedback of ( 4,000 counts per revolution ), maximum velocity of 6,000 rpm ( 100 rps ). I need to create 3 moving profiles with stroke time of 0.25 mm/sec, 1.0 mm/sec, and 25 mm/sec. I would like to use either Load Velocity VI or Load Velocity in RPM VI whichever is easy to set velocity, distance, and read position of my axis. More, I would like to be able to use onboard variables to set distance, velocity, and read position of the axis using input/return vectors, but I don't know how to set the right values. Do I need a conversion or multiplier number to get the right value?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To have your axes move at different rates, you will have to replace the single ‘Load Velocity in RPM.vi’ that is wired to the Configure Vector Space.flx with three separate Load Velocity RPM.vi’s each with an axis constant (or control) wired to their axis input and the max velocity you want. This way, you will set the maximum velocity for each axis rather than all three at once.
