Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

You won't be able to change your rescue email address until you can answer your questions, you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

No, downgrading from any version of iOS to an earlier version is not supported.

Is the camera damaged? Could be a hardware problem.
Try:
Close the Camera app in the multitasking bar, then try again.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

Sounds like you have a battry issue but don't want to believe it.
If a car was running fine on one tank of gas, then you filled it up with another tank of gas and it began to run funny, one might suspect that tank of gas. But let's just say coincidence blew a valve-- would you think the new tank of gas was the culprit?
BUT WAIT!! It just might have been! The gas could have been of higher octane and put more more strain on the valves; you know, like going from 87 octane (OS6) to 93 octane (OS7) and showing you the engine was on the edge of compromise.
Sometimes you have to go with common sense. If everything else is ruled out, it must be the battery. And if it runs fine one moment in OS6 but immediately ***** in OS7, I'd believe my battery was suspect-- though comfy-- in OS6 but the OS7 showed its true power.
Moreover, if you had the answer-- or didn't want to believe someone's more competent advice-- why did you even call? You've already shown that you don't know much when you asked if you could go backwards after setting up the new OS as a new phone.
Additonally, if you're such the know-it-all, but yourself the $29 battery and put it in yourself. It's a piece of cake.

How do I get Thunderbird to connect to a properly-configured Office 365 mail account after shutting down and then restarting the client?

I get my Office 365 account set up and working in Thunderbird. I can download and send mail just fine using the auto-detect or manual account settings recommended by Microsoft/Outlook/Office 365. Everything appears to be working as it should as long as the client stays open. When I shut the Thunderbird client down and restart it, it can no longer access the Office 365 mail account. I get a popup error message:
The current operation on 'Inbox' did not succeed. The mail server for account (my Office 365 account) responded: User is authenticated but not connected.
It has no problem connecting to Hotmail, Gmail and other email services, and I can access Office 365 through the web client, but Thunderbird refuses to connect. If I remove the account and re-add it, I can have full access to my email again, but only as long as Thunderbird stays open. If the client gets restarted, it's gone again.
How do I fix this?

I think you might be having a cached password problem. I was having it and was able to resolve by deleting my stored password in Thunderbird. I referenced

I´ve got made a Form that can import an XML Document. For this feature i use the javascript function
xfa.host.importData(""); <-- empty String to open the OpenFileDialog
the form works in Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.05 fine, but now i have updated my Adobe Acrobat Reader to 7.07 and nothing happend. A first look in the JavaScript Debbuger says me, that there is an security problem. So i have searched for this problem here in the forum and found an answer that this is only working with a certificated document/form.
Is that right? I think its a bug, because why shoudt i certificate a document for Adobe Reader 7.07 and not for 7.05?
My question is, how do i certificate the Form and what do i need to configure in the adobe reader that my document is working?

I'll have to disagree with you...I don't see the use of file attachments within an XFA form as an
issue. Sure, the attachments will be discarded when you open them in Designer, but the purpose of
Designer is for designing the form template, not as a client application for
viewing/filling/distributing forms. The same could be said for form data or digital signatures...as
soon as you open up a PDF file containing saved form data in Designer, you lose that information as
well.
As far as the digital signatures go...the attachments are included as part of the information
that is signed. If you add or remove an attachment, the signature validation icon will display a
yellow exclamation mark indicating that something in the form has changed.

I have created a Apple ID but the e-mail adress is invalid due to a typo. I could purchase apps in the store but now the store is requesting a confirmation (after several month) and I cannot confirm the ID as the e-mail is invalid. What can I do?

The good news is you should be able to get into your Apple ID by answering security questions instead of email at appleid.apple.com. Click the Manage Your Account and then Forgot Your Password links. If you get in you'll see the place to change your primary email address.
The bad news is there are some issues with Apple ID accounts right now. Some accounts are unable to change their primary email address (Mobile Me accounts in particular), some accounts cannot even log in because Apple has screwed up the security information (for example, I have 2 Apple ID accounts where it tells me my own birthday is invalid).
So give it a shot.

After shut down and restart, 'Welcome to Mail' appears on screen.

Prompt to start new email account.

~/Library/Mail
Restore the folder that opens from a backup made before the problem started. Relaunch Mail and test.

The basic way malware works is that it runs a program on the device. However, the iOS does not allow any program to be downloaded or installed onto the device, unless they are from the App Store. And Apple thoroughly checks all apps submitted by app-developers before allowing them onto the App Store.

I don't think you can connect a printer since you won't have the printer drivers. I use FingerPrint from collobos.com to print to my non-AirPrint printers.

This morning we received a software update for iPhoto (36MB) immediately after this download and installation we received a second software update for iPhoto (57.7MB). Shortly after finishing the second update I tried to open iPhoto to work on a slideshow of holiday activities.

As a first fix attempt download and run BatChmod on the iPhoto Library folder with the settings shown here, putting your administartive name in the owner and group sections. You can either type in the path to the folder or just drag the folder into that field.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB file backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. The iPad will support multiple Gmail accounts, but of course you have to set each one up individually. Did you set up both accounts? Go into Settings/ Mail, Contacts, Calendars to confirm both accounts exist. If they do, also familiarize yourself on how to navigate between accounts to make sure you can view your Inbox. You may also want to check your settings to make sure that you have the default account set up as you expect for Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Notes (if you're using all those features). That is important only when initiating something new, you have to have a default account to do such a thing so make sure the default is your account since it is your iPad (assuming that's what you want).
Alternatively, install the free Gmail app and then use only his (or your) account with that app and use the standard iOS Mail app for the other account.
