Using Lightroom to edit, but not orgainize.

I move photos around between folders and I have 20,000 photos in my inventory. I abandoned Lightroom in the past because of the conflict of LIghtroom retaining info on a single photo from two folders. Now I am again trying Lightroom, but I just wan to open a photo in Lightroom, edit it and then refile. Under my new plan, I will just open photos using Lightroom, but I will not use Lightroom to locate photos. In this scenario, it does not matter if Lightroom has records of multiple locations.
Light room will not be used to manage my inventory -- just the tool for editing. I If I find a photo, and use the "open with" option, Lightroom is not an option. Help!

There is no "Open With" option for Lightroom to open images.
You must import the photos using the Lightroom Import dialog box (or drag and drop)
You don't have to use the Library Module to do anything meaningful once the photos are imported

I'm thinking I can convert the files with Compressor and place them in a new folder with their original file names (not sure how to get compressor to do this yet) and then do a major "Reconnect Clip" afterwards.
Not sure if there's a more efficient way to get all the clips in the timeline to compressor. I want the full files, not a sequence export. I can go through one clip and a time and add the master file. I'd rather not.
The more automated processes the better.

yeah Media reconnect can be an issue.
Will Media Manager convert files? Another thing I was thinking was to Media Manage the sequence out, copying all the used files to a new folder, and then running that through compressor. But it still leads to a massive reconnect. Fine tuning all those edits would be less involved than re-editing the whole thing, I hope.

Numbers documents from iOS need Numbers 3.2 on a Mac to open. And Numbers 3.2 requires Mavericks. If you are using Mavericks you can get Numbers 3.2 from the Mac App Store. It will be free IF you have Numbers 2 (iWork '09) installed. Otherwise you must buy it.
Your other option is to send the Numbers file as an Excel file via e-mail to yourself to open with an earlier version of Numbers.

OK, now I think I understand your problem.
If it is your calendar that is being shared with other users who have been granted editing priviliges, you will not be able to exclude those events from printing.

although i did not change anything updating from lightroom3 to lightroom5, this box was automatically checked in all presets. now i unchecked it and everything works fine.

Now when user are posting the purchase requistion using the form,they are able to post the data using
Adobe Reader 9 but not with Adobe Reader professional.

Contact can be edited but not deleted

New poster here and I wanted to share something peculiar about my new kin twom. I seem to have one contact that can be edited but not deleted. When I click the contact, all I get at the top are "favorite" and "edit" buttons. However, all my other contacts seem to have an "edit" button on top as well as a "more" button that, when clicked, gives you the option to "delete", "link", or make the contact a "favorite".
I can live with this non-deletable contact but I'm very curious as to how/why this happened. Anyone have any ideas?

You cannot; it's intentionally disabled to guard against accidental file loss. If you press Option when pasting the files, they'll be moved instead of copied.

Probably best if you could post screen shots of the Inspecror window in extended view with a couple of the clips you using for the 2 angles.
If you have audio from both cameras and have identified them separately, the sync is usually pretty reliable.

Uninstall your current LR5 that is activated with a serial number.
Quit the CC Desktop application.
Restart the CC Desktop application—this causes CC to rescan your location computer to see what is installed.

REFInd stuck but works using UEFI Shell v1 (but not v2) [FIXED]

First ArchLinux install and it gets problematic. I've followed the Beginner's guide and am now in the following situation.
rEFInd get stuck on:
rEFInd - Booting OS
Starting vmlinuz-arch.efi
Using load options 'root=/dev/sda5 ro rootfstype=ext4 add_efi_memmap initrd=\EFI\arch\initramfs-arch.img'
The \EFI\arch\refind_linux.conf contains the following line:
"Boot" "root=/dev/sda5 ro rootfstype=ext4 add_efi_memmap initrd=\EFI\arch\initramfs-arch.img"
Interestingly, when I start it from the UEFI shell (from the arch installation cd) it works with the v1 but not the v2 !?
What did I overlook?

Is there any particular reason you need those options? If not, just leave them out and call it fixed. If you care to do more investigation, though, I'd be interested in knowing which of those two options is causing problems -- or perhaps if only the combination of both of them is causing problems. If either alone works but not both, then I'm inclined to suspect there's a problem with the length of the options line, although that seems odd, since I'm pretty sure I've tested with long options lines in the past with no sign of trouble.
I also can't help but wonder if this might somehow be related to the problem being discussed in this thread, which also has a bug report here. That seems to be a problem with specific kernels, but it's conceivable that there's an interaction between kernels and some other unknown factor.
FWIW, I just did a quick scan of the most relevant section of the rEFInd code and I didn't spot anything suspicious about how it's handling those strings. In fact, it's using allocated memory rather than fixed character arrays, so a hard limit caused by a string of length x seems to be unlikely as a cause unless it were in the kernel's EFI stub loader -- and then you wouldn't see the difference based on the boot manager type (EFI shell v.1 vs. EFI shell v.2 vs. rEFInd).

Use sudo language setup but not all changed

i activated macbook pro with Arabic, then i changed to english and used "sudo language setup" but still a few titles not changed
in finder like: documents, downloads, tags, all still in Arabic.

I wonder if you login as a different user (if none exist create a test user in the System Preferences "Users & Groups" pane) if the problem then goes away. If so I would guess one of the preferences pertaining to the language setup has become corrupted in some way. If this simple test doesn't have the same problem, try renaming the .GlobalPreferences.plist file in /Users/yourusernamewithlanguageproblem/Library/Preferences to something else and then logout and login again (you might even need to reboot). If the problem goes away, you know the source of the problem. There are a lot of other things in this .GlobalPreferences.plist file other than the languages and default language.
If changing the name of this .GlobalPreferences.plist file does work, then you have the cause of the problem identified. You then might want to try editing it with a Plist editor application and see if you can find exactly which of them are corrupted. I believe the key that contains the languages supported and the default language is called "AppleLanguages" and the default language is always element 0 in that array.
If you're not comfortable with doing this (need to know how to use the command line in a Terminal.app window), then say so and I can give a bit more detail.
