Using LoadRunner for WebDynpro for Java Tests

Hi,
We're develoing WD4J applications and want to test those applications with LoadRunner.
I can create Vuser Scripts and Run them with multiple users via Loadrunner Controller successfully but here are my questions;
- I've tested a PHP application which submits data to an email address by using Web (HTTP/HTML) Script Protocol and when I run this Script via Controller for 10 Vusers, 10 emails are sent to the recipient.
- I've created a WD4J application which does the same but when I run this application for 10 Vusers it doesn't send any email. I've tried this with "Web (HTTP/HTML)" and "SAP - Web" Script Protocol but no sccess. Script replay doesn't gives me error.
My Question is Why? What I've to set during Script Creation?
Also, is this the right place to aask this question or where else I can ask?
Regards

Hi Huseyin,
I guess that your script does not handle the user dependent information of WebDynpro correctly.
Assuming you did not already do that, here is what I would do:
1) Check that sending an email through the application works manually.
2) Build text checks into the script to make sure you get the system responses you expect
3) Check that there are the proper corellations in the script such that user dependent information is processed correctly.
Cheers,
Martin

  • Urgent: who ever use Forte for java ---thanks a lot

who ever use forte for jave :
    i have some problems..
    1. how to config forte for jave to import the libs which i have programmed and stored in .jar file.
    2. how to setup the application sever and tomcat in Forte for java.
    3. how to use the EJB(which i have programmed) in forte for java.
before i use JBuilder and i am quite new to Forte for java
    thanks a lot .

    2. how to setup the application sever and tomcat in Forte for java.Tomcat is built into Forte. Once you create web module, you can configure the tomcat server.
    3. how to use the EJB(which i have programmed) in forte for java. What do you mean with "use". You have to deploy them to your EJB container in order to be able to "use" them.
If you are looking for support for a specific container:
I think support for the reference implemenation is already built in.
And I have seen a module to support Oracle's IAS somewhere on the Forte homepage

  • Using eCATT for Negative Test

    Hi Everyone,
Would like to check the feasibility of using eCATT for negative test.
e.g. Would like to do a negative test for invoice posting via FB01.
            - Test scenario would be G/L account provided is locked for posting.
            - Would eCATT be able to show this as a 'successful' result so that no investigation is required?
    Thanks in advance.
    - Jason

    Hello Jason
I assume that if you execute FB01 to post against a locked account the system will issue an error message.
If so then you can capture this specific error message using the MESSAGE interface:
    MESSAGE.
      TCD ( FB01, FB01_1 ).
    ENDMESSAGE ( MSG_1 ).
Before executing the transaction I would first check whether the account is indeed locked. Perhaps there is another transaction available for locking the account.
    TCD ( xxxx, xxxx_1 ).  " Recording to lock G/L account
    MESSAGE.
      TCD ( FB01, FB01_1 ).
    ENDMESSAGE ( MSG_1 ).
In general, if you have a specific negative output that is repeatable than you can use eCATT for testing.
    Regards

  • How to check actual allocated and used memory for java process in solaris?

    Hi,
I'm testing performance for java application on solaris 10. And I would like to know how to measure actual memory allocated and used for java process.
I'm setting -Xms512m -Xmx512m for my java process and I use prstat command to monitor it's memory. But I found that when I run prstat to check, in SIZE column is more than I setting (found 644).
So I'm don't know the actual memory that java process used. (In this case,is it mean the process use memory (644) more than setting (512)?)
    Thank you.

With Xms/Xmx you specify the Java heap size. On top of that comes the permanent generation (default max size 64m) and the C part of the process (the JVM itself with all its libraries and data).
With "ps -e -o pid, vsz, rss, args" you get the virtual and set resident size of your processes.
    Nick.

  • Reading files from KM using PDK for Java

    Hi Experts,
I am developing an application in PDK for Java. This application will read the latest files in the KM folder.
There are 100s of files in 100 of folders in KM. So I want to display the latest files that are from the KM folder. For eg., need to display the last 6 files that are created.
Please let me know, how to do this, because, if we search in all the files, then it will take some time, so I want to reduce this time.
    How can be this done.
    Awaiting for your replies.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Palani

your Km folder can be sorted based on the 'Creation date' in descendgin order.
Then you will get all the latest documents in the top of your folder.
You can do this in the Collectione renderer of your layoutset used.
There in the sorting mode you can give cm_created

  • Need help in using DemoIdentity for SSL testing

    Hi everybody,
    What I want to achieve:
I want to test a web service over HTTPS using DemoIdentity.
    What I've done:
1- From Server->AdmingServer->Keystores, I configured AdminServer to use DemoIdentity and DemoTrust Keystores.
2- From Server->AdmingServer->SSL, I configured it to Use Server Certs so that I don't have to define a Service Key Provider.
3- I created the Business Service with HTTPS endpoint.
    What I got:
1- the backend system is showing an error that peer (OSB) did not send certificate.
2- in AmdinServer log, I see that OSB has successfully loaded DemoIdentity and DemoTrust. But after backend sends a certificate request, I see this line:
Returning no identity certificates, because certificate request message contains no CA names
    My questions:
What does this mean? what am I doing wrong?
I've been trying to do this test for the past two weeks with lots of failed attempts. I've read almost all of the manuals regarding security and WLS and OSB.
Please respond with something from your experience, don't refer me to manuals :)
    Thanks in advance

Hi Faisal, thanks for the response.. here is what you asked for..
1- Webservice client is a Proxy Service in OSB server. And the Webservice is accessed through another system (IBM Datapower).
2- It's one way. Only my server needs to send it's certificate to them.
3- SSL debug is enabled. and here is the log: (I'll post config.xml in the following reply)

  • Using TimesTen for JUnit tests

I want to switch from using HSQL (in memory) to TimesTen in my Unit tests. Is there a simple setup for TimesTen when used for this purpose?
For example, for HSQL, all I have to do is include the hsql.jar as a dependency in my project, then include the following line in my JUnit test:
    DataSource dataSource = new DriverManagerDataSource("org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver",
    "jdbc:hsqldb:target/test-classes/com/project/path/test/schema", user, pw);
schema is a reference to the schema.script that includes the DDL for all the tables that I need to create in memory.
Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

From what little I know about it TimesTen is not an in-memory database, it is a caching architecture. Therefore I would expect the set-up to be different - the TimesTen stuff should be set up once ever[], like the schema of a regular database, rather than everytime you run your unit tests.
I think you need to sit down with the TimesTen documentation and figure out how you are going to use the product. If you are just looking for a quick DB to use in unit tests I think you may well want to keep using HSQL.
    Cheers, APC

  • Using Excelsior for java executables??!?!?!?!

Hi! I would like to know if anybody knows how to create an .exe file for a program within a package. My .class path is:
    C:\freespace\classes\freespace\*****.class
which commands and from which folder should i use to create the .exe file?
    Thanks a lot!
    Best regards,

Maybe if you had read the ReadMe of Excelsior, you wouldn't be asking that question?

who cares, so long as you're comfortable with it.Except that many companies forces you to use a certain IDE.Not ones I've worked. They're happy to let you use your own as long as they don't have to pay for it.Well, based on my knowledge, some do. I've worked for two financial institutions, and they were real sticklers for using the approved tools, and only the approved tools. Get caught using anything else more than a couple of times, and you'd probably be looking at the street.
Other companies I've worked for, didn't care much, as long as it didn't cost them too much (if anything) in licenses.

  • Why does debugger not find source code when compiler output has been directed to the root directory, but the source is in a sub-directory, using Forte for JAVA community edition V3.0

I have configured Forte to put compiler output, i.e. my classes, in the root directory of the project. I now find that the debugger does not find the source code when it is in a sub-directory. However, if I temporarily copy a classes' source code to the root directory the debugger will display it.
To direct compiler output to the root directory I selected Project >Settings>Compiler types, then External Compiler ( which is the default compiler in my case ) and set Target to be the root project directory. This is the only directory it will allow.

This Forum is for Forte 4GL or UDS as its called today. I am not sure if anybody is going to be able to answer your question here. Sorry.

Previously when i try to view the output, i can able to view it without any errors, suddenly what happened is iam knowing.
ADS was perfect,CredentialRights there,AdobeReader-7.0,ACF with SP11 installed and Active-X Controls Enabled.
Can i know where the problem exactly is?Is the problem from client side or server side or do i need any settings for IE6.0?

    Hi Sankar,
Did you use NW04 SP11 before (with ACF) and upgraded to NW04<b>S</b>? Your ACF version you mentioned is for NW04S and not for NW04.
Also keep in mind that SAP changed the way Adobe forms are displayed (ACF will be replaced by the ZCI layout) - ZCI stands for Zero Client Installation. If you upgraded to 04S, you might need to change your forms as well (also the WD application).
On your interactive forms application (the webdynpro) are there any links outside the adobe form? What happens if you click on it? At our side we have created a customer message, since the ZCI form is not being displayed. We also get a white Adobe placeholder, and when we click on a link outside the placeholder, we see the Adobe PDF logo being displayed in the placeholder (placeholder = frame).
In your case: do you see a small red cross icon in the frame? That means ACF is not installed properly.
