Using more string variabels is table .?

Hai gurus,
There is a need for me to create various variabels in the table by type of Character String of Variable Length (long string). It showing an error that more then three strings it is not poss to create in the table.
Is there any way to solve this prob .. ?

You can place everything in 1 field and use a separator to distinguish between them.

Invoice: How to use more than one Internal Table's info in one Table

I am doing an invoice, and have the info from internal table wa_itgen showing - Matnr, material description and quantity.
I want to also invlude the info Unit Price and Total price on the table line, but can't seem to do it.
I know that someone I must fill an internal table as I did on the Table itself : is_bil_invoice-it_gen INTO wa_ITGEN.
                 ( TYPE IBBIL_INVOICE).
So now I need to insert:
IS_BIL_INVOICE-IT_PRICE    INTO      WA_ITPRICE.
Do I insert Program Lines, or do it via a LOOP. Obviously it needs to go under the same Table's cells to incluce it.
I tried a LOOP, Program lines under the CELL of the table where I want it displayed, and even a Second table.
If I have the first table's info, the page displays under VF03, but as soon as I try to insert the 2nd Table's info, under VF03 the screen just not show anymore.

in the program lines fetch unit price and total price based on ur invoice number(as u are already in main loop which fetches invoice no material no etc).
now loop that internal table with condition inv no = current invoice no and item no = item number
and display those values on a new text field accordingly.
sample code...

1) Enter the search help name and click on create.

5)We need to assign parameters for each of the included search helps.

On the right side of the Toolbar click the Sort and Filter button, then select Sort.
You can then set up a multiple column sort.
Click Add A Column, Specify the sort for that column, Repeat.

So i need to register this view? and i think we could not register the views. We could only register tables in apps.Yes you can -- In the Value Sets form (Edit Information button), you can set the view name in the "Table Name" field, and write a (Where/Order by) condition in the same window.

Using more then one table/view in same Report

Hi,
I am using Discoverer Plus Version 9.0.4.43.15.
Is it possible to use more then one table/view in a report without the tables/views being joined in any way? It would be like using two different datasets in the same report without the datasets having anything to do with one another. Right now when I select items from the available tab I can only pick tables that relate to one another in some way.
Or is it possible to use more the one table in the same report? Each table using a different query/view/table.

try following type of query using set operator UNION / UNION ALL:
select col1,col2
from t1
union all
select col1,col2
from t2
If you don't have restrictions then this is the best way.

Using a string to reference a variable

i've encountered an interesting scenario where i need to use a string to reeference the value of a variable...the following would show the scenario in a simpler way...
let's say we have such function called foo:
void foo(String aString)
int a = 20;
int b = 20;
system.out.println(?????);
now let's say i run the function as:
foo("a")
and i want it to return:
20
what should be put to replace those "?????" in my function above?
please note that variables "a" and "b" are arbitary and so having a conditional statement like the following would NOT be useful:
void foo(String aString)
int a = 20;
int b = 20;
if (aString.equals("a"))
system.out.println(a);
if (aString.equals("b"))
system.out.println(b);

There are two possibilities here.
The preferable one, if you have control over the names and nature of the variables, then don't use individual variables - use a Hashtable (or any implementation of Map). Your code would then look something like:void foo(String aString)
    Map table = new Hashtable();
    table.put("a", new Integer(20));
    table.put("b", new Integer(30));
    system.out.println(table.get(aString));
}The down side to this is that you have to use Integers - Maps can't take primitives.
If, on the other hand, you have to have variables, then take a look at using reflection. It's more complicated than using Maps, and less efficient, so I would recommend the first technique if possible.

Using a parameter for a table name?

In SQL Server, can you use a parameter for a table name? I'm working with Visual C# and want to do something like this:
SELECT MAX(ItemID) FROM @TableName;
Can this be done?
(Basically, I have three separate methods within a class--one for each table I have; and each one will perform the above query but on different table names. I'd like to see if there is a way that I can have just one method that will allow me to specify
the table name.)

As pointed out in other posts, you can. But a more relevant question is whether you should.
A table in a relational database is supposed to model a unique entity, and each column in the table is supposed to model a unique attribute. This is not always how it is, but it is from this model a relational database is designed.
From this angle, having a dynamic table name does not really make sense for application code. (Administrative actions is a different story.) Think of it this way: have you ever wanted to make the class name dynamic in C#?
Admittedly, it is different in .NET, because everything inherits from System.Object, but in a relational database there is no inheritence.
Anyway, if you are using stored procedures, you should have one stored procedure per table. Physically, in the plan cache, there will be one query plan per table, no matter how you do it.
If you are submitting SQL statements from your application, it is a different matter. In this case, I find it difficult to object if you have a class that performs generic actions against tables. Then you build the SQL string in the client code.
However, no matter how you do it, you need to be careful to avoid SQL injection. We had the example:

But what if we have:

As long as we do it in T-SQL, we can (and we should do!) this to prevent SQL injection:
SET @sqlCommand = 'SELECT MAX(ItemID) FROM ' + quotename(@TableName)
If you build your SQL strings in C#, you will need to employ other checks. There is only an issue if the user can inject data somewhere, but your generic class will not have knowledge of this, and must assume the worst.

How can I use more lines to show a field of a row in a report?

How can I use more lines to show a field of a row in a report? Table A have two columns: (c1 number(5),c2 varchar2(1000)).When I show the table on a report,the column c2 show itself in one row.So the width of html page is very wide.How can I split the field c2 to many lines?

I have the same problem using the default "Look 4" template for the region. I have found in the CSS file where it is defined and it specifies "nowrap" in the style, which is why the long value is not being split over multiple lines.
So, my question is, without modifying or creating templates, is there a way to override the "nowrap" attribute from within the item definition? e.g. in the Column Attributes.Column Formatting.CSS Style field. I had some success changing the display properties, such as background colour and font size but I can't seen to override the nowrap attribute!

How to search all files in folders/subfolders for one or more strings?

I have a list of files (full path and file name) in Column D of my worksheet. I'm trying to figure out how to run some code to open each file in this array (starting on D14 and going down), search for one or more strings, and then put an "X"
in Column I, in the same row as the file name.
How can I do that?
I experimented with a few samples of code. It seems pretty easy to do it in one folder, but not all sub folders. The folder/subfolder is setup a specific way for a specific purpose.
Knowledge is the only thing that I can give you, and still retain, and we are both better off for it.

Below is an example that allow you to search a directory and its subdirs txt files(you can change this), read its lines and search for specific word:

ORA-01776: cannot modify more than one base table through a join view

I have created EO based on a database view than consists of two tables, and only one is updateable.
When I try to update a row using EO, I got a following message: "ORA-01776-cannot modify more than one base table through a join view"
In Forms, this issue is resolved by setting "Query Only" property of non-updateable items to "True".
Is it possible to do something like that in ADF BC?

When I set "updateable" property to "Never", that attribute is protected from any change.
I'm sorry for incomplete usecase.
I have set up a list of value on that attribute, because it is a lookup field for another table and I need to get an ID from that table.
Basically, I need that attribute to be updateble for BC, but not for database.

Cannot modify more than one base table through a join view

hi guys, my current problem is that i have a datablock based on a view, now all the fields bar 1 are updateable, but this one field that is obtained through a join is displayed, the user can enter data in this field which then pupulates other fields which are required, but this specific field should not be updated. Is there an option to state this as i keep getting the error:
cannot modify more than one base table through a join view
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have been able to store two strings (M44110|T33010, M92603|T10350) using ArrayList<String>, which represent the result of some patient tests. Nevertheless, the order of these results have been stored correctly.
E.g. currently stored in file Snomed-Codes as -

}Here you have some kind of a list or something (I couldn't stand to read all that unformatted code but I suppose you can find out). It has an iterator which gives you the entries of the list one at a time. You keep asking if it has more entries -- which it does -- but you never get those entries by calling the next() method, so it always has all the entries still available.
And your code inside the loop is independent of the iterator, so it's rather pointless to iterate over the entries and output exactly the same data for each entry. Even if you were iterating correctly.
