Using Multiple Different (Accordian/Horz Spry) Menus

I am using a Horizontal spry menu along the top of my web
page, and an Accordian down the left side of my web page. I have a
concern that whether they use the top or left menu, that the menus
won't match up...meaning...they select Client Engagement from top
menu and it goes to that page, but the Accordian menu on the left
does not indicate the correct current page - Current Engagement. Is
this an unnessary concern? Will they match up. Or is there
something I need to do (css) to make sure these work together?

en0 is ethernet and en1 is airport. So now, all my traffic will be going out through en0 because it's listed higher, correct? Now, if I go to my network control panel, go to set service order, and put airport (en1) higher than ethernet (en0) then all my traffic will go out through airport, correct? Now I did do that, and I typed ifconfig -a again, but the listing still showed the same, so do I need to restart to make the change effective or is there a command for the system to flush and change the order immediately?
And how do I check for sure on which interface my outbound traffic is going through?

I've created a page with a horizontal spry menu bar, and have edited it according to how I want it to look.. Brilliant!. The problem I have is I want the exact same menu bar on multiple pages but using a different colour scheme for a couple of the pages!. Is this possible? Thanks

Using multiple apple id's for different purposes

We are a family of 4 with numerous devices. Here's the setup we've been using to manage different aspects of our apple life!
Each of us has an individual apple id, which we use on our individual devices for storage/backup, photo stream, facetime, calendar etc
We have one apple id, used on all devices for all app store/itunes purchases
We entered this id on each device with everything turned off except "find my iphone". This way we could be logged into the find my iphone app with one id and be able to see all our devices.
This has worked really well for us as a family. Well, yesterday my kids updated their phones (one 5 and one 4s) to ios 7. I have not done it yet. It does not seem to allow for the above setup, specifically where "find my iphone" is concerned. When I enter in that specific apple id as an additional icloud account, it doesn't offer the option of find my iphone. My ios 6 device says "only your main account can use photo stream, documents & data, and backup". Their device adds "find my iphone" to this list.
Does anyone know if this is a specific change apple made, or something that went wrong when initially setting up their updated phones.

Thanks for your reply. But what I don't understand is, can I no longer have multiple icloud accounts, to be used for different purposes? Like I said, we have been using one apple id/icloud for storage etc and one for find my iphone.

Using images in Spry menus

Can someone please point me to instructions on how to incorporate button images in horizontal Spry menus?

I have one remaining problem, and hope someone can help.
There are three states/images for the main menu tabs: normal state, hover state (when the cursor is over the tab), and visible state (when a submenu is open and the cursor is over a submenu item).
In OS10.6.4/Safari, it works correctly:

In Windows XP/IE 6, the 3rd state works incorrectly -- the hover state doesn't get replaced by the visible state:

Spry menus - using images for buttons

A search of the forums shows two approaches, to use an image
for a button in a Spry menu.
One of them uses HTML to put an <img> into the
<li>. Here is the example I found cited [contributed by
arandlett - though said there not to work in IE7].

ways what this is about.
We would be quite appreciative to learn what experience
indicates, now, is best practice. Or, does it depend, on ... ?

Let me add a note to my own post.
We would still be delighted to hear others' experience, with
images in Spry menus. One thing does emerge with a little further
look: The Spry menu is suited to using the _same_ image for each
button. If the desire is to vary that image (such as to use an
unusual font, so that the text changes on each image), then
Fireworks clearly is the tool of choice.

Does Firefox switch to full screen if you press F11 ?
You can also try the F10 key to see if that brings up the menu bar.

Using multiple devices in iTunes, each with different iTunes accounts

My husband and I are trying to go from 2 computers to 1 in the house, but cannot figure out how we can run iTunes on one computer, with multiple iTunes accounts and NOT download each others apps, music etc automatically. My son also has an ipod which I want to have as a separate account.
We still want to be able to share some of the downloads amongst each other - but selectively, and not have them automatically downloaded as they would if there were all on the one library / account.
From what I can see on the online forums I can create a new library for each device to stop the automatic transfer of purchases, but then cannot find how we can select what we do and dont want to share amongst each other, or if this is even possible with multiple libraries.
Is there a way that I can do all of the following:
Have multiple devices on 1 computer in iTunes
Each device has its own iTunes account
Each device retains its own library
Each device can select what purchases we want to share amongst the devices, without it automatically transferring onto each device?

Using multiple but different keyboards on the same machine

I have a MBP with a default English keyboard layout. I plan to buy a wired Apple keyboard with numeric keypad with a Japanese layout. I will definitely go back and forth between the two keyboards.
I am wondering if there are other people out there using two different keyboard types or who know about Japanese keyboard layouts on the Macs. Are there problems that occur typing or changing input sources using different keyboard types interchangably.
I have several input sources: U.S. Extended, Kotoeri(Hiragana[kana], Katakana[kana], Romaji, full-width Romaji, half-width Katakana), Handwriten Chinese with trackpad, Traditional Chinese with Pinyin input.

I don't have experience with the setup you are proposing, but I think the problem may be that the Mac can only recognize one keyboard type at a time, and JIS is quite different than ISO or ANSI. So if it works right with your JIS keyboard, the layout on the internal one may not be totally correct, and vice versa if it works right with your internal one. How much of a problem this would be depends on your own usage patterns. Changing the keyboard type is sometimes not very easy.
But you really should hear from someone who has done this.

Help with Dreamweaver CS5 spry menus. Submenus are not showing.

I am working on a new website, and added 2 vertical spry menus to the page (left hand side under SEARCH). All of my submenus were working properly except for the fact that I couldn't see the entire list once it dropped down past the container window. I tried adding "overflow: visible" to the ul.MenuBarVertical ul AND ul.MenuBarVertical ul li and all of my submenus disappeared. Both spry menus were saved with different names. I tried UNDO multiple times, but they are still not working. HELP! I really don't want to have to go back and re-create these 2 menus.

P.S. I am Mac based and have only viewed my site on Safari, so I'm not sure how this looks on IE or any other browsers.

I looked at your linked site from a PC on Chrome 12, Firefox 4 and IE9. Your menus show albeit that they sometimes overlap a little in an unpleasant (but workable) way. I have not checked with Safari, need to get an updated copy.
So the problem does not show up in the browser.
Is the problem with Contribute?
PS: You submenus show out horizontally, not vertically - is that what you intended?

How do I use multiple similar email addresses without getting duplicates of incoming mail?

I have a Virtual Private Server and multiple domains and need help configuring Mail to meet my needs.
I use my first name coupled with a domain name for lots of emails. [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
The VPS server puts all the emails to john, regardless of which domain, into a "john@(multiple domains)" account. So, I can download all the john emails without a problem.
However, I want to be able to respond using the [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] return addresses when I click Reply. If I set up accounts for each, then Mail wants to go and get the messages for each single john account, which causes multiple copies to show up.
The multiple copies is one issue.
The other issue is how to set up the accounts so I can respond using the different john accounts without having to use the Reply To feature, which is cumbersome.
I hope I am clear enough in the explanation.

Alternatively most email providers allow you to set forwarding, so you could forward messages to the iCloud address, remembering to undo the forwarding when you get back. There is usually an option to leave the messages on the server as well, and I should take that.
Of course the vacation response will come from the iCloud address, which might confuse your recipients, but it's a workable alternative if the other email accounts don't provide a vacation response.

Help using multiple iphones and ipods on itunes

Okay, is there any simple way to use multiple apple products thru itunes. I can log in on my account and sync my iphone/ipod, then I log out and log back in with my daughter's account info. I plug her itouch in and it wants to read all of my apps(some apps we both have on our devices). Have problems with music sharing as well. Still a PC user. Get very frustrated with itunes. spend way too much time trying to do things that should be simple. please help! Thank you!

Is it possible to reduce the SQL required to query using multiple 'and' conditions, e.g. I have a query like the following:
select stat.personal_id, appt.username, appt.password, apps.rgn_apt_id, apps.apy_apn_id
from apy_ast_application_status stat, rgn_usr_user appt, rgn_aps_applications apps
where stat.apy_apn_id = apps.rgn_apt_id
and apps.rgn_apt_id = appt.rgn_apt_id
and stat.application_completed is null
and stat.application_started_date > '01-MAY-11'
and stat.amount_paid is null
and stat.personal_details = 'C'
and stat.further_details = 'C'
and stat.education = 'C'
and stat.employment = 'C'
and stat.personal_statement = 'C'
and stat.choices = 'C'
and stat.reference = 'C'
and stat.student_finance = 'C'
Is there a way, to reduce all the multiple 'and' queries, to be read from say one line? If you know what I mean.......

Ah, Ok this looks nice, thanks very much. It doesn't quite run as is because the stat.amount_paid query value is 'is null', while the others are 'C'. I tried amending the relevant line to various versions of the following:-
in (select 'is null' 'C','C','C','C','C','C','C','C' from dual)
which doesn't work.
I can get the following to work so I am assuming that the it is not possible to use different query values within the brackets of the 'in (select....' statement?
select stat.personal_id, appt.username, appt.password, apps.rgn_apt_id, apps.apy_apn_id
from apy_ast_application_status stat, rgn_usr_user appt, rgn_aps_applications apps
where stat.apy_apn_id = apps.rgn_apt_id

How do i use 2 different ipods on 1 computer

I have an ipod video and my brother has the nano. We first installed the nano and the video ipod on 2 different logins with windows professional. Now I-Tunes only reads the video ipod on both logins. How do I make them both work with I-tunes?? Please help.....

I didn't think I could search for a similar thread for much longer, but just after posting this one I found the solution to my problem, and for now it has worked successfully.
