Using OpenVPN client on Windows 7 64 bit

I am using openvpn client 2.3.5-I602-x86_64 and when I connect I get the following message. I have tried running Openvpn as Administrator and disabling Windows firewall but no luck.
From the same wireless network as my laptop with the same ovpn file I can connect fine using my Ipad. Any suggestions?

What OpenVPN client are you running on the Windows 7 x64 system?
What is the setup of the OpenVPN server and for clients?
I will try to replicate this on my test systems. It might give us clues on how to fix this for you.

OpenVPN client stops working after a few minutes

I'm using OpenVPN client, and it works fine but after a few minutes the VPN stops working.
I'm getting these errors in the logs:

What could cause that?

GW Messenger Client for 64-bit Windows?

Has anyone found a way to run the messenger client on Windows Vista or 7 64-bit? The installer will not run, no matter which options I try.
You get "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher." or (if using compatibility options) "Error installing iKernel.exe (0x2200)".
If you try to copy the client files from a 32-bit version of windows and manually register the files (using regsvr32) then running NMCL32.exe, you get the messenger message "GroupWise Messenger cannot start because its configuration has been damaged. Please re-install."
Copying and manually registering the files seems to have some hope if you knew how to fix the configuration. Am I missing files that are located elsewhere besides the "Program Files"/"Program Files (x86)" directory or is there some registry setting?
The other question would be. When is Novell going to provide a client installer that will natively install on a 64-bit version of Windows as these are starting to become more common?

What exact version is your server/client?
I used the client from 2.0.4 under vista-x64 without issue.
There is always pidgin as well.

Cannot Install 11g 64 bit client on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit OS

I am trying to install Oracle 11g 64 bit client on Windows 7 64 Bit Professional. I'm running setup as administrator and all prerequisites fail with Actual Value not Found Expected value not found. I select ignore and press next and the application just silently shuts down. Log is too big so here is an abbreviated log.

I disagree with your assessment, for two reasons.
One is the severity for RAM is listed as Severity:IGNORABLE.
Secondly I just saw this happen to myself just a moment ago (which is how I found this threat) as well using a silent install on a Windows 2008r2 server I can install to using the setup.exe manually. so disk and memory really isn't an issue.
I suspect something else is going on here. If you read those warnings the Critical they are just the last two about disk space and the PATH variable. Perhaps I am not running as elevated as I thought or the C$ share is not reach able. I am going to keep trying and will report back here when I get my silent install working.

Failed to install 64-bit Oracle client on Windows 8.1

I just tried to install the 64-bit client on Windows 8.1 with 16GB of ram.
First of all, I got the INS-13001 warning that my environment does not meet minimum requirements, even though I was just installing a client!
I chose to ignore the warning and installed anyway.
It doesn't look like the install completed successfully.
For one thing, it did not create a bin folder.
Also when I tried to remove it using the OUI, I was told to use the deinstall utility in the deinstall folder, which is not there either.
How am I supposed to remove this seemingly incomplete installation?

Actually, what I was trying to do was get a serious answer rather than a smart-a$$ response.
If you've used software a little, you would realize that saying something is not yet "formally supported" does not mean that there is not a way to make it work. TONS of software does not yet claim it will work with Windows 7, but somehow magically it does. Possibly with problems or issues to workaround, but functional.
I was asking, if on my development machine, there is a way to make the current client work.
In any event - it turns out installing the 32-bit client rather than the 64-bit client does seem to make most things work, at least well enough for my current needs.

Am not sure but I don't think it will support 64 bit Win 7, according to SAP notes SAP TAO SP4 support only Win 7 - 32 bit.

How to run SAP BUSINESS ONE 8.8 clients on windows and use MaxDB on linux/W

As the subject shows we have SAP BUSINESS ONE 8.8 and I want to find out how to use it in combination with MaxDB instead of MS SQL. I find a lot of MaxDB stuff on the net but no guides on how to setup SAP BUSINESS ONE 8.8 clients on windows workstations and connect them to MaxDB.
Is this possible and if so how do I go about doing it ?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated .

You will know the sap b1 supported platform.
If you really want to use maxDB on linux/W as B1 server, you can send a development request to SAP AG.

One of the best features of IE might be ActiveX technology. I could be wrong, but some controls are still highly used by websites, and a lot of softwares help rely on HHCTRL ActiveX. I don´t see it *currently* being dropped.
Could be in the future, but not only IE uses Activex, a lot of programs make use of them, not to mention popular ones like Word, Excel.

But now I notice that my LR directory of folders in Library view does not show images correctly: If there is a folder with sub-folder(s), the folder will indicate 0 images, but the sub-folders show the proper number of images. What happened and is there a fix? I tried uninstalling Lightroom and re-installing, but problem persists.

Instant Client on 64-bit Windows 7: Driver does not appear in System DSN tab when creating a new Data source.
What I did so far:
I downloaded the basic and odbc zips for Window 64-bit.
Unzipped the basic zip.
Unzipped the odbc zip to the same directory.
Added the dir path to the System Environment Variable called Path.
Double-clicked on the odbc_install.exe to run it from Windows Explorer.
Then I tried to add the driver to create a new data source but it does not appear in the list of drivers.
From a cmd window, I navigated to the instant client directory and tried to run odbc_install again.
I got the message: Oracle ODBC Driver with same name already exists.
What am I missing?

my system : up to date computer, W7 familial premium (64 bit), Internet Explorer 11 (32 bit)
I use this computer on the web to visit just one website, always the same and several hours a day ; this site advocate the use of Internet Explorer 64 bits for more efficiency.
How can I get to install, or switch to the 64 bit version of Internet Explorer, as presently when I try to install a downloaded version, I get as an answer something like "installation not possible because the more up to date version of Internet Explorer

On a 64-bit version of Windows, please click system drive, there should be a “Program Files” and “program Files x86”,
the "Program Files" folder is for 64-bit programs and the "Program Files (x86)" folder is for 32-bit programs, you will find IE11 64 bit has already installed in you system in “Program Files”>”Internet explorer”.

Want to use only DAC client on Windows machine

Hi,
I want to use only DAC client from my windows machine. I have all other components on UNIX machine. Now my question is,
1.
Do we need to install all OBIEE components & then Oracle BI Apps on windows machine to use DAC client? Or just copying DAC folder from some different windows machine onto my machine will be fine to use DAC client?
2. If it is must to install OBIEE for installaing Oracle BI Apps(As DAC is part of BI Apps), What are the minimum components of OBIEE that i need to install?

The supported way to do this is to install everything on Windows. However as you have see by installing the software on UNIX the file copy approach works. You can try it just make sure you have the proper path of folders. Since you will not actually have BI EE installed you still have to create an "OracleBI" folder because some DAC files look to that folder hierarchy. Also make sure you have the Java in path with no spaces.
Let us know how it works out.

I first tried the version without the deflated stream (so everything uncompressed) against the online repair tool to check/analyse it @ https://www.pdf-tools.com/osa/repair.aspx
And it says no error found, but the reader still want to save it when closing so i still had no clue at this point.
Fortunately, i finally found what was wrong with my generated PDF.
In my xref table, each object reference was not end by a full EOL, i only did put a newline char.
Now i have "carriage return" "newline" which is the full EOL and the reader is happy and close the file silently.
As suspected i did not follow correctly the specs on xref table
Now i'll go and figure what i did wrong with the deflate filter
