Using Oracle Composer in page fragments

Hi All, I am trying to use pageCustomizable functionality in my half of the page(Administrator can enter content in particular area of page ). I am using BT (bounded taskflow) with fragments i.e .jsff page. I devided that page using panelsplitter. In first facet , i dropped just read only view object . In second facet , I am trying to use pageCustomizable code to implement edit functionality..
<f:facet name="second">
<pe:pageCustomizable id="pageCustomizable1">
<cust:panelCustomizable id="panelCustomizable1" layout="scroll">
<pe:changeModeLink id="cml1"
rendered="#{!composerContext.inEditMode}"/>
</cust:panelCustomizable>
<f:facet name="editor">
<pe:pageEditorPanel id="pep1"/>
</f:facet>
</pe:pageCustomizable>
</f:facet>
When I click on Edit button in page then i don't see any edit panel in screen. I have same only edit functionality in default home page but it works fine (i.e after click on Edit button/link it display Editting page with add content ..
Any idea ...
Thanks in Advance.

I don't think it's possible.
What you may try is to add the panelCustomizable to your taskflow and not the pageCustomizable.
The pageCustomizable will be added on the page that consumes the taskflow. When you go to edit mode, the panelCustomizable should become editable.
So the idea is that the taskflow deligates the responsibility for the pageCustomizable to its consuming page. That should work.

  • Runtime Page editing not working using Oracle Composer(Pagecustomizable)

    Hi,
    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0
    We have used content presenter to display static pages from content server.
    If we use Oracle composer component (<pe:pageCustomizable>) we should be able to edit the page at runtime.
    However in our case when we press (Ctrl+Shift+C) it comes with the edit window panel correctly,
    however when we click on the edit button the edit popup window it closes automatically and not able to edit the content.
    So what could be the probable reason why it is not allowing to edit the page.
    Below is the Code snippet that we used.
                  <af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl3" styleClass="innercontentboxtext statictext pgabouttxt" inlineStyle="display:block;">
                    <pe:pageCustomizable id="pageCustomizable1">
                        <cust:panelCustomizable id="panelCustomizable1"
                                                layout="scroll">
                          <af:region value="#{bindings.doclibcontentpresenter2.regionModel}"
                                     id="rAbtDoc" partialTriggers="::pt_soc3"/>
                        </cust:panelCustomizable>
                        <f:facet name="editor">
                          <pe:pageEditorPanel id="pep1"/>
                        </f:facet>
                      </pe:pageCustomizable>
                  </af:panelGroupLayout> Any help is appreciated.

    Hi.
    When adding an af:region usually is wrapped also by an af:showDetailFrame for enable MDS customizations to this component through Oracle Composer.
    <cust:panelCustomizable>
    <cust:showDetailFrame>
        <af:region ..../>
    </cust:showDetailFrame>
    </cust:panelCustomizable>About your problem:
    1) Could you check that content integration and edition inline is enabled?.
    2) Check that the user that are you using have correct rights in this content.
    3) Check log files to verify if something wrong is happening.
    4) Check with firebug for styles or JavaScript problems are in conflict.

  • How to create a movable box using adf faces (without using oracle composer)

    Hello All,
    I am new to adf and i need to create a movable box . A box which the user can move anywhere he wants on the page and he should be able to minimize and maximize it.
    (ex:igoogle).
    According to my requirements i need to do it using adf components
    any help please

    Hi,
    as you need to persist the user change, you will need to have a look at MDS. See 31 at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/index-101235.html
    It has a createDepartments.jspx page that allows users to move the input text fields around. You can use code similar to the one used here to move panelBoxes

  • Oracle Composer pageCustomizable with jsff

    We are working on Oracle Composer Resource catalog feature. We were able to integrate Resource Catalog into the ADF using Oracle Composer in a jspx page.
    We are using oracle composers pageCustomizable component in a jspx page as mentioned in the below link
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/webcenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_page_editor.htm
    But when we try to do the same in a page fragment (jsff) it is not working, As we need to show the resource catalog in a task flow to show it in the our Dashboard.
    Please let us know if anyone has worked on integrating Oracle Composer with page fragments.

    Ensure that your pageCustomizable is has facet named editor and PageEditorPanel inside the facet, and also taskflow binding in page definition of the jsff.
    When you drag and drop PageCustomizable from Components palette these are done automatically.

    Hi,
    I think, Package ZBI_NEW  is a custom development package: probably someone else already transported the application component hierarchy and assigned this package...try to change this. Chk with SE80 > package > ZBI_NEW,If it is not there,create it.
    But the normal practice is change/Edit DSO in DEV-->Quality , then transport to Production.(SE80
    In the drop down, look for Packages,below it type ZBI_* and hit Open.If you don't see ZBI_NEW, then ask BASIS to Create (DEV)and import that Package to QAS->Production)

  • Oracle Composer Layout Customizable Error!

    I´ve been trying to develop a custom webcenter application using oracle composer, but everytime I have a Layout Customizable in my page, I keep getting the following error message in my server:
    <MDSRestrictionPolicy><_updateMDSRef> An error has occurred while finding the page for the component with client ID pt1:layoutCustomizable1.
    I have tried everything to avoid this message, but everytime I navigate between pages, it shows in the server log. I have tried using templates, and not using templates at all. I have also tried changing the ID. I´m using a menu model to navigate between pages, showned in the following article:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/ccset43-all-090938.html
    The problem with this error is that after a few minutes navigating between the pages, the navigation flow just seems to stop working and I cant go from one page to the other anymore. Anyone has been through this before?
    I´m using Jdev 11g 11.1.1.3 and Webcenter 11.1.1.3

    Yup, I had tried setting the "Clean MDS after each run" before, but still got the same message. I have tried with both integrated and standalone WL.
    I just found out that if I set the "ShowIcon" and "ShowLayoutChanger" properties of the Layout Customizable to false, I dont get that message anymore..
    Now I only see the message when I navigate between pages with the "edit mode" on. Is there a way to disable a component (like the command navigation item button inside the navigation pane) when the edit mode is triggered? Thanks!

  • Show/hide portlets - oracle composer

    Hi,
    Is there any out of box support to show or hide JSR-168 portlet(s) in a page. I am using Oracle composer and consuming portlets at design time. Now I need to provide option to the end user to select which portlets to be displayed/hidden on the page.
    Thanks,

    I believe this is a similiar question.

  • ADF Application and Oracle Portal Login Page

    We have developed ADF application and deployed it in Oracle AS 10.1.2 along with the custom JAAS module, which is working fine with the application custom login page. As a next page, I want to use Oracle Portal login page for the authentication and authorization.
    How can I accomplished it? Any idea?
    Thanks,
    AP

    Shay,
    1. I created blank ADF project
    2. I copied myreport.jsp file (this one was generated by Oracle Report Builder) under ..ViewController/public_html directory
    3. Created directory 'lib' under ViewController/public_html/WEB-INF/lib
    4. Copied reports_tld.jar file under the directory created in 3.
    5. Created simple jspx page with the af:link (btw af:goLink does not exists in JDev 12c), set 'destination' to myreport.jsp
    After the steps above I could not even compile the application, many problems too many to list here, Basically JDev is trying to build the project with .jsp file generated in Report Builder and is unable to.
    So to be sure we are on the same page: I am trying to embed JSP report files generated by Report Builder into ADF project, then create EAR file and deploy on standalone WLS. Finally execute JSP web only report.

  • How to use same page fragment more than once in a page,

    Hi Gurus,
    How to use same page fragment more than once in a page. I have a complex page fragment which has lots of Bindings (Binding Property set with backingBean variables).
    I want to use the same page fragment multiple times on the same page with different tabs.
    I want different ApplicationModule Instance for the page fragment in different tabs.
    So I have created a Bounded Taskflow with pagefragments which has this complex pagefragment.
    I've dragged the taskflow to page and created regions.
    I'm able to execute the page successfully when I have only one region but fails if I have region more than once in the page.
    Can anyone help me how to resolve this issue.
    Web User Interface Developer's Guide for Oracle Application Development Framework: section 19-2 states we can have same pagefragment more than once in a page.
    Thanks,

  • Error using a taskflow inside a page fragment

    Hi,
    I am using a taskflow with a region in a jspx and it works.
    But when I put the region in a page fragment, and then call the page fragment from the jspx I get the following error:
    <Sep 13, 2012 8:39:07 AM PDT> <Warning> <oracle.adf.view.rich.component.fragment.UIXRegion> <BEA-000000> <

    This is typically due to an error in the configuration of the objects referenced by this expression.
    If it helps, the expression "#{bindings.processViewerTaskflow1}" evaluates to "null".
    If it helps, the expression "#{bindings}" evaluates to "null". Now using an empty RegionModel instead.

    What is wrong ?
    Thanks

    Hi Pablo
    Frank already mentioned clearly in his post. I just want to share some useful links. First start with the link, like What to use When. And see the section where it clearly says we cannot share the data between the parent and its child adf region having JSFF and vice versa. This is achieved using Parameters Map etc.
    What to use When - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/testcontent/adfregioninteraction-155145.html
    Fixed - http://www.baigzeeshan.com/2010/04/creating-pages-with-regions-in-oracle.html
    Dynamic - http://www.baigzeeshan.com/2010/06/working-with-dynamic-regions-in-oracle.html

  • JSF Page Fragment based on Oracle Dynamic Tabs Shell Template

    Hi
    JDeveloper 11.1.1.6
    Can we create a JSF Page Fragment (jsff) based on an Oracle Dynamic Tabs Shell Template ?
    I tried to create this jsff page and added in a bounded taskflow.
    In the create jsff wizard, it will allow us to select the Oracle Dynamic Tabs Shell Template, but when trying to use this taskflow in the another page (jspx), it is giving the following exception.
    javax.faces.FacesException: javax.el.PropertyNotFoundException: Target Unreachable, 'tabContext' returned null
    at com.sun.faces.application.ApplicationImpl.createComponent(ApplicationImpl.java:261)
    at javax.faces.webapp.UIComponentELTag.createComponent(UIComponentELTag.java:222)
    Basically the reason why I am trying to do like this is that I have to simply drop the taskflow in a page as a region.
    The ViewController project code will only be created as an ADF Library Jar File and be used in other projects
    (it will not be deployed as a web application (war))
    More about the requirement:
    I have a BPM Application in which I have 2 ADF ViewController projects, one for only BPM Human Task related UI and another for only ADF functionality.
    I am writing a custom BPM Workspace kind of ADF Application and want the UI to be based on the Oracle Dynamic Tab Shell Template.
    ADF ViewController project is deployed only as a ADF Library Jar file.
    Another advantage I can have is I can test my ADF code within JDeveloper.
    (If I create a jspx page based Oracle Dynamic Tab Shell Template in the BPM Human Task Related UI project, I will not be able to run it in JDeveloper and test it.
    Otherwise I have to deploy to the SOA environment each time I make a change)
    Thanks for any help.
    Sameer

    Hi,
    the dynamic tab shell template can only be used with top level (JSPX) pages (in 12c also with Facelet pages). There is no configuration for templates that would make the JDeveloper IDE to not show the template of the selected page is a fragment.

  • Error while trying access JSP page first time using Oracle Lite

    Hi,
    We are doing a proof of concept using Oracle Lite 10gR3. Installed Mobile server and published a JSP based application. Installed web-to-go setup.exe on a client machine and synchronized the application. However when we tried to open the page, it comes up with an error. We are using jdk version 1.4. Any advise will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

    (Since this is the general forum for the 'big' database, my advice would be to ask in the Oracle Lite forum. Database Mobile Server (inc. legacy Database Lite)
    If this is a formal evaluation, you could also get a Sales-sponsored trial which usually comes with 30-90 days of Metalink support. You would be able to search for notes like Doc 414106.1
    Bottom line is that the code is for JDK 1.5 and it's being deployed against JDK 1.4.2. Something needs to be either upgraded or downgraded.

  • Css style class can't be used in Page Fragment?

    I need to use css to modify pages. When I open a page fragment and want to apply a css rule to a button, i can't find any styleClass available in popup window: Properties->Appreaance->styleClass.
    Does anyone have any idea?

    Hi,
    You are correct - there is a current limitation that we are working to fix. For now, you can manually add style parameters to the <div in the .jsp. I have also seen div id rule classes in the stylesheet e.g. div#content and then manually applied the div id="content" in the .jsp before the directive include.

  • APEX app using Oracle Text  to index pages that require authorzation

    Hi Gurus and APEX Dev team
    My team need to develop an APEX App that will index all our documents spread across various servers. Some of the documents require Single sign on access (e.g. KIX.oraclecorp.com) and some require other authorization methods (e.g. Metalink) . The Question is , Is it possible to index the pages that require authorization using Oracle text. If yes How? I have implemented the demo app which can index pages that do not require authorization.
    Thanks a million
    regards
    Bala

    Hello,
    Unless I misunderstand you, the fact that the pages require authentication doesn't really matter, it is the underlying data you want to index correct? If so then you would index them in exactly the same way that you would index any table data using Oracle Text/interMedia.
