Hi Bhanu Teja,
i am also working on the same. But I want the users in the dailog come from the OID. Do you know where the users come from the OID Server. I want to know what the filter it applies to show the users in the dailog box.
Its a bit urgent for me. could you please reply soon.
Waiting for your reply.
Thank you,
Siva.

Have you patched BPEL with any of the MLR releases? Some of the patches contain DB scripts that must be run separately from the patch install.

  • Using Human tasks in a BPM process

    Hi
I managed to deploy the VacationRequest sample which uses human task in a BPEL process.
I want to implement the same human task in a BPM process. Are there any tutorials or stepswise guide for the Vacation Request sample using BPM process?
Also, what are the main differences between a BPEL and a BPM process because most of the things that are done in BPEL can be done in an BPM process as well.
    Thanks

I was able to implement the same using a BPM Process.
For those of you, who may require the steps:
    1. Create a webservice based on the VacationRequest.xsd with VacationRequest as request and VacationResponse as CallBack
    2. Create a human task and task flow as described in the VacationRequest.pdf provided along with the sample.
    3. Create a BPMN process, associate the Start Event to the WebService Interface and map the request and response.
Also associate the End Event to theWebService callback port.
    4. Deploy the process and taskflow.
But I have a query here? Even in the sample given(using bpel process) how will the requestor know that the leave has been approved/rejected.
what exactly is sent out as the response to the call back port. And, where can the requestor view the response?

  • How to use External Routing in Human Task

    Hi,
Could you please help me knowing how to create External Routing in Human Task in SOA Composite.
    Thanks

When defining the external routing class in the .task, you can define the name value pairs which you want to pass to the program. Here you can pass dynamic values to the class as well by reading the appropiate node from the payload. In your class the name, value would be available in the "Map propertyBag" parameters in Rajiv's example link.
    Document says:
Map of properties — When an assignment service is specified, a list of properties can also be specified to correlate callbacks with backend services that determine the task assignees.Or if you are too lazy to map many parameters and values, you can always read the whole Task task and then use getDocument and some xml reading to determine the values. This Task is the whole document.
    API:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/apirefs.1111/e10660/oracle/bpel/services/workflow/task/model/TaskType.html#getDocument__Document says:
Task document — The task document that is executed by the workflow. The task document contains the payload and other task information like current state, and so on.Also you need to make sure that you are maintaining the state of the assignment class, doc says:
The assignment service class cannot be stateful because every time workflow services need to call the assignment service, it creates a new instance. Thus if you are doing multiple serial assignments one after the another and if your server restarts in between, then the approval would start at the first assignee again. Suppose in Rajiv's doc link e.g., if the task is assigned to 'wfaulk' and the server restarts then the task would be assigned back to 'jstein'. In order to prevent this you need to modify the java code and each time the variable changes it's value you need to place it in a dehydration store. Also on each action over the process you need to reinitialize the variable from that dehydration store.

  • Can I build an user Interface using a proccess with Human Task?

    Hi,
I'm building an application, web application, with a several screens. The application just will be used for entering some data and depending on the data entered, some bpel process will be launched.
I'm thinking about implementing a MVC using a BPEL Process with Human Task. I mean: I'll make everything with bpel process (*including the application*). I would make a bpel process with some human task. This process would be like a Spring Webflow file or similar. Each screen wouldl be a human task but with synchronus nature. Will it be possible? Will it be so complicated? Is it usual?
Other way would be making a web application to enter data and then launch a proccess that will record the information in the database. That would be the normal way.
    Thank you so much.

    Hello,
There's a more powerfull solution you may use.
You can create a View. Some Views can be updatable (it means that it's possible to update
the Table from the View) and, you can add constraints (Primay Key) on a View.
    For instance:
    CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW {color:red}User2.view_name{color}
    ({color:red}col1{color}, {color:red}col2{color}
    UNIQUE RELY DISABLE NOVALIDATE,
    CONSTRAINT {color:red}pk_view{color}
PRIMARY KEY {color:red}col1{color}) RELY DISABLE NOVALIDATE
    ) AS
SELECT {color:red}col1{color},{color:red}col2{color} FROM {color:red}User1.Table1{color};This example is from the link bellow:
    Hope it can help.
    Best regards,

  • User Task in a BPEL Process

I'm making an ASP .NET websites that calls to a BPEL Process. This BPEL Process receives an ID and make three calls to three web services that search this ID in three diferent databases containing data about books. The process selects the cheapest of the books found. Once this is made, I want to make tha process ask the user if he wants to boy the book and the user must to answer yes or no. The process must comunicate with the user by an ASP .NET web page. I suppose I have to use an User Task to make this possible but I don't know how to use user tasks so can anybody help me telling me where can I find a good tutorial that explains to me how to make that?
    Please help!!
    Thank you very much!!

with 10.1.2.02 this is really hard, becaus eyou need to expose the worklist API through webservices itself (bpel process) - with 10.1.3.1 the whole worklist is WS enabled, so then it should be super straight and easy..

  • Use AQ Adapter Header Message ID Value in BPEL Process

    Hi guys,
I'm trying to obtain the value of the message_id in a header variable created in a receive branch activity linked to an AQ Adapter, i've created the variable in the adapter tab of the receive activity and linked the message type variable with the InBound WSDL of the header. I want to use this message_id value obtained in the dequeue operation to set as correlation_id in a future enqueue. The question is, when i do a copy operation in an assign activity of the message_id in the first header variable (dequeue) to the second header variable (enqueue) the BPEL raises an error telling me that the variable was empty, can you help me with this? Am i doing the whole thing wrong? I'm using the 10g version on R3.
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi Anuj,
I selected "Receive" while configuring B2B adapter. While creating the BPEL process to receive the message, i have created it as Empty BPEL process "Define WSDL later". Then i configured the B2B adapter. In the Empty BPEL process i place a receive activity and wire the B2B adapter. Operation available in Receive activity is "Receive". I'm i configuring wrongly?
    Thanks,

  • How to use AQ Adapter for Enqueue and Dequeue in BPEL process

Can anyone help me how to use Enqueue and Dequeue in BPEL process ? Any good sample or material /tutorial??

You shoul create a while loop, that loops through XML payload for each row. Than you can process each individual row. See also example:

  • How to add parameters to human task implementation in BPM process?

    Hi,
I tried the BPM process tutorial Tutorial
and at step "Implementing the User Task" 1. ("Click on the hello data object and drag it into the parameters panel") I encounter a problem.
I cannot drag anything onto the parameter pane. I can send you a screenshot if that helps. The data object window also does not have the buttons it should have according to the image in the tutorial.
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 (the tutorial uses 11.1.1.3) I don't know if thats a bug or if I missed something. I followed the tutorial step by step starting from "Creating the Process Model".
    thanks in advance
    Steffen

Ok I finally figured it out by myself.
This is a bug that sometimes occurs, several re-installs solved the problem.
(However in the process also another bug appeared but in the end it installed without any of these two bugs)

  • Problem in getting the task Id of Human task

    Hi,
We have a Bpel process and is invoked programatically.
The first componet in the Bpel process is the human task.
So when the BPEL process is invoked need to get the task id associated with that process .
we are unable to get the task id immediately with query task API's.
we see some delay in creation the human task .
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Nagajyothy

I'm not sure you are looking for task id or task number. Expand the Human Task activity in BPEL process. After invocation of TaskService wsdl, create an assign activity within the scope of Human Task. Get the task id/task number using the task variable of the local scope of that human task, "task:systemAttributes/task:taskNumber" or "task:systemAttributes/task:taskId". Hope this will help you.

  • Problem with Human Task(hw_services)

    Hi,
We are facing a problem using the Human Task in a BPEL process.
When we add a human task and for any BPEL process in Jdeveloper and tried to add a new user to it no Realm is getting selected.
And when we try to lookup for users getting an error message
    ' Identity Service Client Error
    BPMIdentityService has client error
Contact oracle support if error is not fixable'
We're using the default settings for security on dev server.
Our SOA suite configured on HP-UX machine and using Oracle XE DB which is on Windows XP machine.
This is working fine with other configurations working on Windows machines.
And other interesting thing we found is,When we open the em console we didn't find any webservices unders 'hw_services'
    ( IdentityConfigServicePort,IdentityServicePort IdentityService, TaskMetadataServicePort TaskMetadataService,TaskQueryServicePort TaskQueryService,TaskServicePort are not there)
seems our hw_services are not configured properly. Everything else is working fine.
Please help advice as it is very urgent...
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi Marc,
Thank you very much for the reply.
WorkList Application's URL mentioned in the wf_config.xml is working fine and we are getting the login page.
But the SOAP endpoints mentioned in wf_client_config.xml for other webservices like Identity Services are not working. Getting HTTP 404 Not Found error message
We didn't face any other problems with the config.
Please help advice whether any other details are needed to solve this issue....
    Thanks again...

  • Human Task allocation in 11g

    Hi,
The Human task defined in BPEL process through the jdev in 10g had an option to edit the task definition, wherein one could change the allocation of task. But this option is not to be seen in 11g jdev editor. The task definition seems to be read only with an option to edit the task rather then change the task allocation. Is there a way to achieve this in 11g ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Thank for the prompt reply, this seems to be a tedious job, all the more painful in case if you have an application been migrated from 10g to 11g. We have this application which has 12 different groups to be assigned across numerous human task. When this application was migrated from 10g to 11g through the jdev, all the human task by default got allocated to one group. In the absence of reassignments, deleting these human task and recreating with new assignments is final option, but considering the numerous human task this would be a really agonizing task. Is there any other alternate option available.

  • Is human task in 11g soa suite  WS-HumanTask complaint  ?

    Hi all,
    I have a small doubt,is human task in 11g soa suite WS-HumanTask complaint ?
    Thank You

If BPEL don't timed out, you can have Human task in Synchronous BPEL process.
For this, you can have your synchronous reply before any Human task call back receive activities (this causes the timeout) or you can just create human task and no other call back receive activities.
    Thanks

  • Unable to deploy BPM projects with human tasks from BPC

I’m trying to edit and deploy a BPM process from Business Process Composer (web based tool). To do it, I followed the steps below:
    1.     I created I project in JDeveloper
    2.     I created the Human task from using the “Auto-generate task form” option
    3.     I converted it to a template
    4.     I published it to BPM MDS
    5.     On Business Process Composer I created I new project based on my published template
    6.     And I finally I deployed it with no errors.
When I ran the BPM it creates I human task but I’m not able to access its form on Business Process Workspace.
On Business Process Workspace I can see the task created by my BPM process, but when I click on it to access its form I get a 404 message (message below).
    Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
I think this error occur because my Task form project was not deployed. To fix it I undeployed all the applications and then I deployed the BPM application with all its tasks forms from JDeveloper. It worked fine (I can actually access the task form on Business Process Workspace), but now I’m not able to edit the BPM process on Business Process Composer anymore.
Then I finally repeated the steps 3 to 6 on top of this post in order to make the BMP process editable on Business Process Workspace but this time I receive the error at the end of this post taken from server log.
No matters if I publish the project on MDS BMP repository as a template project or as non template project. I always have the same problem.
So, how can I use a BPM project that contains Human Tasks forms on Business Process Composer?

I came across the same issue, and now resolved it like this.
Firstly, you shouldn't deploy QuoteProcessLab with other UILabs like ApproveDealUILab and so on. So, if you already did it, then go to Weblogic EM and undeploy it.
Secondly, you should deploy each of UILab separately as standalone application. So, deploy EnterQuiteUILab, BUsinessPracticesUILab, and so on each. These will run independently behind and when your project created based on template in the Composer runs, it will link each of these on human task.
Thirdly, publish you QuoteProcessLab. And follow the book about how to create a project based on template in the Composer.
Just one thing you should be careful with is, when you do auto-generation for human task, it sometimes doesn't work fully, unfinished halfway through. So, make sure that the icon 'go to existing business form taskflow' in .task file takes you to the human taskflow.
If it fails, do another auto-generation. Sometimes DataBindings.cpx can get corrupted by JDev, but let's not go too far for now.
    Mostly, it will work.
