Using PO or DO as reference during STO and STO return - cross company
Hi,
May I have your valuable input of which of the following are the best practise in term of the two business process:
A - cross company stock transport order during goods receipt, and,
B - cross company stock return order during goods receipt
FYI, I am talking about two-steps procedure (i.e. movmt type 643 and 101)
Question:
For A -
During Goods rececipt will it be BEST to use a purchasing order OR the outbound delivery order as a reference?
My gut feeling is using outbound delvery document as reference, but what is the underlying reason to do this, why not PO?
For B -
During Goods rececipt will it be BEST to use a purchasing order OR the outbound delivery order as a reference?

I read the SAP help portal, it said in return process, it is best use PO because of this statement (i.e. Do not post with reference to the delivery, so that the delivery for the stock transport order is not updated), which I don't quick get it.

Hi,
If your PO (sto) is of 100 quantities and the outbound delivery is created for only 80 quantities, So when you do a GR against outbound delivery you will be doing directly for 80 quantities. But if you are doing it against the PO, all the 100 quantities will show up and then you have to manually reduce the 20 quantities.
For the return process there may be a constraint as when you do a return against delivery it may not open the PO but when you do it against PO it would be updated and can be seen in the PO history and you can also see the open po quantity.

ERROR DURING T.CODE F-53 ( cross company transaction error)

I am clearing two documents , in which one is cross company code transaction and another is vendorinvoice through t.code f-53.
while saving the document I am gettting the following error.
Consolidated companies 1000 and ' ' are different
Message no. F5080
Diagnosis
The number of the affiliated company must be clear for the selected document type for all line items. In this case at least two different companies or a company in connection with a business partner who does not belong to a company are stated.
Procedure
If you selected the correct accounts, you must enter the document with a document type that allows cross-company posting. Otherwise, please correct the entered account.

Please check if in the control data of the vendor master "Trading Partner" is populated.
If yes, then if you remove the trading partner then you might not get this error.
If a trading partner is there, the system check the document type for Intercompany posting control and if its not there then the system gives such an error.
Changing a document type might impact all the business transactions relating to the document type that you are using.
However this might not be required in your scenario.

I have had a number of issues with my Intel Mac recently and had to reboot using disk utilities, safe mode, OSX recovery, but always come back to the login screen but when I type my password the screen goes white and returns to the login screen. Briefly, you need to delete the following file:

If you already know how to do that, you can skip the rest of this message. Do it, and try again to log in.
Boot in single-user mode by holding down the key combination command-S at the startup chime. If you’re using an external USB keyboard, it must be plugged directly into a built-in port on the Mac, not into a hub. Release the keys when you see a black screen with scrolling white text. In this mode, there’s no graphical interface; just a command line. Initially, you can’t make any changes to files.
When the text stops scrolling, and you see a line ending in a pound sign (“#”), type the following command:
mount -uw /
You must type the command exactly as given, with no mistakes. If you don’t feel able to do that, STOP. At this stage, no harm will be done if you make a mistake, but later, it will be. Press the return key.
Next, type the following command:
rm -i /var/audit/current
Press return. You should get the following output:
remove /var/audit/current?
If that's not what you get, STOP. Type the single letter N, press return, and try again. Otherwise, type the single letter Y and pressreturn.
Finally, enter the command:
exit
Press return. The text will start scrolling again, and then the system will reboot. Try again to log in.

And if you want stock transfer b/w co.code then its possible....its same as wht we do for plant to plant only
during the stock transfer, two accounting documents are created in addition to the material document:
An accounting document for the removal from storage at the issuing company code
An accounting document for the placement into storage at the receiving company code
The stock posting is offset against a company code clearing account.
To display the value of the cross-company-code stock in transit with a report, choose Environment --> Stock --> Stock in transit Cc.

Use of "Open FPGA VI Reference" function --- Build Specification vs VI vs Bitfile
When using the "Open FPGA VI Reference" function in a LV2012 cRIO application, there are 3 options: Build Specification, VI, or Bitfile. What would be the reasons for selecting one over the others? Does it affect the resulting startup.rtexe when the cRIO application is built? I searched through the help and in these forums, but I don't see criteria for selecting one over the others; maybe I missed it.

Apologies in advance for a long reply.
The reference method won't change the functionality of your rtexe.exe. They all end up dropping a bitstream, based on a bitfile, onto the cRIO's FPGA.
To a degree, the method used to reference the FPGA code is a matter of taste, but there are situations where one method is better suited than the others.
Reference by VI:
Setting the configuration options to open reference by VI is helpful during development when you are making changes to an FPGA VI often and building/testing using the same spec. When this option is used, a bitfile is selected based on the default build specification for the project. A project may have only one default build specification. You can make any build the default by checking the option under the Source Files category in the build properties. The default build is indicated in the project explorer by the green box around the builds icon.
Reference by Bitfile:
This option references a bitfile directly. Through the configuration window, you can select one specific bitfile to open a reference to (this is not dynamic and does not change unless you physically go make a change to that path). If you're using this method, it helps to give your bitfiles more meaningful names than the ones that are automatically generated by LabVIEW. When you run subsequent compilations off of the same build specification and do not change the bitfile nname or path in the build configuration, the old bitfile is overwritten and replaced with the new one. When you are using this option, it is critical that you keep up with which bitfile is the one you want to be using. There is an option now that will help alleviate any problems referencing by bitfile through the Open FPGA VI Reference function. There is a new VI called Open Dynamic Bitfile Reference. It is typically used when you want to chose a specific bitfile to load depending on something in your host code (a configuration option etc) - but it allows you to dynamically reference a bitfile on the block diagram by path.
Referency by Build Specification:
This option is good for when you want to always use a bitfile that is associated with/compiled with the same build configuration. Say you have two options for top level FPGA VIs in your project (each with its own build spec). Both of these VIs have the same interface (read/write controls, DMA) but they run different algorithms or something. This is nice because you can easily switch your host application between them by picking the build spec associated with the FPGA VI you want to use. In this type of sutation, referencing by VI is no good because you can only have on default build spec.

but when i am moving the stock from Plant Sloc A to same plant Sloc B one more inspection lot is cretaed (movment type 311)
if i go to SPRO i can deactivate 311 movement type to avoid creating inspection lot
but it is client level , i need to restrict only for one plant
is there any other way to control just one inspection lot for one GR

It seems you are using third party dll namespace reference in your project but that dll is not being added in project. Please get the IBM.WMQ dll and add it first in your current visual studio project by right click on project-->add reference.
You can place this dll in GAC or can directly add to project as suggested by jaydeep.

If you want to develop a WinForm application to be only used in SharePoint Server, we can use Server-Side Object Model(use Microsoft.Sharepoint.dll) to achieve it.
If you want to use the WinForm application to be used both in Server side and Client Side, I suggest you use .Net Client Object Model(use Microsoft.Sharepoint.Client.dll) to achieve it.

Trying to get sql server compact up and running. I connected to a sqlite database and atuo generated the model.cs code.

ThanksOk so I got the past that problem. I had to add the package System.Data.SQLite Core in Manage NuGet.
Then I changed the auto-generated code "using SQLite" to "using System.Data.SQLite".
But now I have a new problem, it says "System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteConnection' does not contain a definition for 'CreateTable' "

Using a Non-valuated, non-stock material in an STO
Created a planning material with UNBW material type in ECC 6 to use to help manage shipping capacity at the mill. Added to a sales order and it decremented the plan as expected.
Half of the mill's deliveries are STO's so now trying to get this to work on an STO.
Does anybody have advice on how to get a non-valuated, non-stock material (ideally, a planning material, but we could work around this) that we don't plan to deliver, to work on an STO?Thx for replying. I need the material to be accepted by the STO but also to work with planning so it decrements a planned shipping capacity for the mill. So I am trying to figure out how to get it on the STO and be differentiated from other, normal materials that have $ value, inventory, and account assignment, This material will only have a planned quantity that can be decremented by demand coming from either sales orders or STO's.
