Using PreparedStatement.setString() on AS/400 VARGRAPHIC field not working
Hello,
I have a database table on an AS/400 that contains a VARGRAPHIC field of length 254. According to all the docs that I've read, I should be able to use PreparedStatement.setString() to set a parameter for that field. However, I never get any rows back when I execute the query. If I run the same query on the AS/400 using strsql, the query runs fine and returns the expected results. Anyone have any ideas?

You will find a FAQ section, a mailing list you can subscribe to for discussions such as your question, a bug report page where you may be able to see if your question has already been reported as a bug, and so on.
I haven't used VARGRAPHICS fields so I have no insight into your problem, except that setting graphics data from a String sounds kind of fishy to me. Good luck.

Careless? Possible, but unlikely. Most likely the phone was stolen from the first owner. It would be a VERY careless iPhone owner who did not erase their personal information from a phone before selling it, and to do that it is necessary to disable Activation Lock. In most places in the world knowingly using stolen property is a crime, so the fact that the phone doesn't work may be the least of one's risks. -

This is essentially paulbruster's answer, but I've added the steps some might assume, but which aren't so obvious to those of us who are new at this, like me.
This solution might ''appear'' to be long and complicated, but after you follow the directions once, you'll find it's quick, clean, and simple. Almost like they designed it this way.
# If you haven't already, open a bunch of tabs on a few different subjects.
# Click the List All Tabs button on the right side of the tab strip.
# Select Tab Groups.
# Create a few groups as described [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/what-are-tab-groups#w_how-do-i-create-a-tab-group here] , i.e. just drag them out of the main thumbnail group into the new groups they create.

Help for date field not working after upgrade

In our BSP application for a page we had an inputfield (date).
Onvaluehelp for input field we were calling the saphelpdate function.
however after upgrade this functionality is not working properly as no pop up comes after clicking on the icon.
we have upgraded to SPS 16 recently.

The problem is, it is not taking the value which the user selects from the dropdown and the text field. It takes the default value as "January" and the year is "2013" as both of these values are given as selectedIndex:0 and editContents:"2013". I have compared the coding with some other working scripts as well, but it is not working. I have added several alert boxes to check the value we get.
Also, the find and change is also not working. Please help me on this. Thanks.

IDoc string field to JDBC date field - Not working
Hello everyone,
Once again I must ask you something that is keeping me..
I had a interface type RFC ASync to JDBC SQL Server, it was working fine. Then, I was asked to change to a type iDoc ASync to JDBC SQL Server.
At first, it was not a problem, just manual work. But them, I am getting an error.
In the RFC, I had a date field, that was directly related to the date field on the JDBC destination, so the mapping was pretty much straight forward. The SQL INSERT command was working fine on this cenario.
Now, in iDoc, this field was automatically converted to a string, and somehow, PI is not understanding that string has to be mapped to a date field in the JDBC.
Is there any 'workaround' for me to do this?

BrazilThe issue here is that somehow, the same SQL insert command that was working, does not work anymore.
This is the SQL command took from RWB log monitor:
INSERT INTO aniversariantes_sap (matricula, nome, nascimento, unidade) VALUES (00000070, 'Ricardo Lora', '19851216', 00000000)
If I run this query on my DB it works.
But, in PI, it's not, here is the error:
Could not execute statement for table/stored proc. "aniversariantes_sap" (structure "ANIVERSARIANTES_SAP") due to com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Syntax error converting datetime from character string.
I´ve tried cast() and convert() using mapping 'habilities', but also, does not work. Work if I run in the DB, but not if PI runs it.

I've made a project level custom field in PWA that takes "Total Slack" (in-built duration field) and based on a switch formula gives out 3 values viz. High, Medium, Low The field formula is as mentioned below:
Switch([Total Slack] <= -7, "High", [Total Slack] >= 0, "Low", [Total Slack] > -7 And [Total Slack] <= -1, "Medium")
The formula works very well and displays value as High for projects with Total slack less than -7. However, the formula is not working for Total Slack between -7 and -1 i.e. greater than - 7 and less than -1. The formula returns the value as "High"
only.
I've tried editing and publishing the project both from PWA as well as Proj Professional after updating task duration to calculate Total Slack.
This field is critical and used in many views. I am looking for a solution to resolve this issue. Any help in this regard would be appreciated.The next step then would be to move away from the SWITCH statement and use a nested if statement, along the lines of....

Debug not showing & required fields not working
I have MX 7.0.2 Developer's Version installed on W2K and MX
7.0.2 on W2003 soon to be production server. On my Developer's
Version the debug output shows up and the required fields using an
input tag work. The same code on the production server, with the
same admin settings doesn't show debug output and the required
fields don't catch that the field is blank. I have read in the
forum that it is very likely that the /cfide virtual mapping is not
configured correctly, but not specifically how to fix the problem.
I see cfide in the admin setting, mappings on the production server
and have tried turning debug on and off, but still no debug output
and required fields not catching and not showing validation

Do you mean to say that you are not able to see these settings in SE16 where as other users are able to? If that is the case , there might be an authorization problem for you.
or try logging off and loginto the system. that should work sometimes. If not try to go to SU53 and check whether your auth has failed to see for this table.
