Using setXPath with filterFunc doesn't work

i have a dataset:

i'm using the paging filter function from the samples. this
is working fine. but now i want to filter the dataset...
dsImages.setXPath("catId = 1");
but nothing seems to happen, is this a bug?
if i define my dataset the following way it shows the records
i want, so my xpath query is ok:

of couse i could extend the filter function to additionally
filter the dataset but i would like to use xpath for it...
gOA-pSY: It might be because you need an extra set of quotes
around the
string in your xPath expression... from your own page, the
xPath shows
up as (for example) "/data/line[tagId = 2]", where I believe
it should
be "/data/line[tagId = '2']" instead.
I am also using the paging filter as an onLoad filterFunc,
and then also
filtering via xPath on click, and I did get it to work:

I noticed that when using my string variable in the xPath

Yup - nothing happens. I then took the same VGA cable and plugged it into my friend's iPad1 and it worked perfectly when she opened Keynote. My understanding is that the iPad2 mirrors the entire screen, so no need to go into any specific application in order to project to the screen, right? Do I need to download any specific app or change any settings in order to be able to project the screen using VGA?

Normally, you just connect the monitor to the MacBook using a VGA adaptor that you can buy from an Apple Store. Now try System Preferences > Displays > Detect Displays. You should now be able to select a display mode for the monitor. If it still doesn't work, then I'd check that everything is properly connected. I've had problems with colours disappearing due to a faulty connection in the VGA adaptor.

OK, guys, this is the problem...
After YEARS of testing from Acrpbat 4 thru 9 on Create a PDF from webpage using entire site option... it doesn't works properly and doesn't got the entire site. ALWAYS get an error of memory or any other error but FINALLY you NEVER got the entire site. I'm talking for a big website... not like amazon.com, but a big one.
I make a walkarround to try to capture the website in parts but Acrobat is not "intelligent" to make a resume capture of the site, because ALWAYS start from the begining instead from the resume position of the site...
My question is, HOW can get the ENTIRE SITE in a PDF document... without getting errors or stopping the capture process...
Don't have problem of low RAM memory because I'm in a MONSTER MACINTOSH.... 3.2 GHZ with 8 Core and 32 GB of RAM under Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.6 in Acrobat 9 Pro.
If I'm not wrong, the GET ENTIRE SITE option in Web Capture (Create a PDF from webpage using entire site option) doesn't works from Acrobat 4 thru 9 in Pro version... tested, you'll never got the entire site... I'm talking in capture a huge entire site and not a little one...

Thanks.Ok so I go to a web page and select something to print. Once I've clicked print I switch over from printer/micosoft xps docu writer/fax and select Adobe PDF. All goes through with a 'Create Adobe PDF' coming up progressing through to eventually save and store. Once I open the file it end up as the picture above. I have the same version on another computer and that works fine but this particular Sony laptop it doesn't seem to work properly.

I was wondering if there's a way to connect to my work server from my home iMac i7. I can't seem to get Share Screen to work. I have tried connecting to server using the vnc but doesn't work.

Anyway, my cropping was saved each time. I think there's something wrong with your Preview.app. Have you changed anything about the autosave functions of OSX?
I would try:
Boot into your recovery partition (restart, hold down ⌘R until you see the Apple logo), and use Disk Utility to repair your hard drive. Repair permissions too while you're there. OS X: About OS X Recovery
if that doesn't help, then I'd reinstall Mavericks over your current installation. -

the SAX interface.
I've written a test program that instantiates a driver and
registers my own handlers (which just print to System.out).
I also have my own org.xml.sax.EntityResolver, it looks like

It seems as if the Oracle XMLParser doesn't use my EntityResolver
to resolve it's external entities (the dinner.dtd file in this
case, the file is indeed there, trust me!), otherwise it would
have printed the message seen in the code above (<<Call to
resolveEntity>>). If you're wondering how I configured the
systemId in the SAX parser, here's how:

Can you tell me why this is? (I use NT4 with jdk 1.2)
I've tested the same thing with the IBM, Microstar and Sun

fixed in a maintenance release. Until that time you can parse a

Over the years I have upgraded Acrobat Standard from version 8 to currently working with version X.
However, since getting a new laptop it doesn't work with Office 2013.
Can I upgrade to Standard XI?Upgrade pricing now only applies to version 9 and X. So if you have a retail serial number for X, you should be able to upgrade. (Or consider subscription).

I have made an upgrade of my plug-in which was developed with the Acrobat 5 SDK. I upgrade it to Acrobat 8 SDK and my print function doesn't work anymore.
Actually I print my document using a javascript trusted function instead the function provided by the C++ library for internal reason.
Here below is the code used to print my document :

It was working with the Acrobat 5 SDK but the print seems to have no effect using the Acrobat 8 SDK. I know that there is a change between Acrobat 5 and 8 concerning the Character Set (currently I set the Character Set to "Not Set" in the Configuration Properties of the project) but I don't think that my problem comes from the Character Set.
All ideas to resolve this problem are welcome.

There is a restriction on silent printing in Acrobat, but I would not have expected that to be passed into this method - but it could have been overlooked and be a bug.
Also, I don't recall a trustedPrint() method in Acrobat JS - check the documentation for the correct name of this function... -
IPod to TV using digital camera cable, doesn't work. Help

I've got the iPod 5th Generation 30Gb video. I ripped one of my DVDs onto my computer and then used videora to convert the DVD for use on the ipod. I used iTunes to stick the movie on my iPod.
The movie plays fine on the ipod, but when I go to connect the iPod to my LG Flatron TV it doesn't work. I am using a cable that came with my digital camera, it only has one black and one yellow rca plug. If I use it with the camera, the black is for video, and the yellow for audio. But on the ipod, I don't get anything. I have checked that the send to TV settings are On.
I've tried changing the format on the output from PAL to NTSC, nothing.
One thing I am not sure about is why my cable has got a little box thingy surrounding part of the wire, inside the box thingy are magnets, anyone know why these are here? Could this be what is causing it not to work. What should I do?

You need to find the pinout of the camera cable you have.
Probably be easier to get get an AV cable with a 3.5mm plug to (whatever fits into your TV) cable.
Usually, you simply have to swap the Red and the Yellow for it to work properly. -
The "always open with-" option doesn't work!
Is there a way to get the "Always open with" option when doing a (control) (option) click on a file to actually ALWAYS open with the application I choose? Could this feature be broken or perhaps mislabeled?
Here's what happens; I'll set a file to "always open with" one application. I work on that file and save it. The next time I try to open that file it opens with the snow leopard default application instead of using the application I directed it to "Always open with".
I don't want to open every file type with this application so I'm not setting "apply to all" in the info window/ inspector, I simply want this one file to always open with the application I've selected.
I'm hoping some of you super mac users will know a trick to make this work.I want to open a few select files with a non-default application (now that the creation code is not used.)...If I work on the file and make/save any changes, it reverts to the default app.
Aha! Okay, I don't think any of us were getting that in the initial posts. You are correct. Snow Leopard no longer uses Type and Creator codes by default, but they are still there. Various things are keeping you from doing what you want.
1) Newer programs that do not use Type and Creator codes at all still need a way to tell the OS what files belong to them. Since at least back as far as Leopard (likely earlier), the system now uses Uniform Type Identifiers. As far as keeping track of what files belong to what applications, they serve the same purpose as Type and Creator codes. So when you save changes, it will indeed revert back to the default app since the file once again gets saved with that program's UTI data.
2) Some programs use both UTI and Type and Creator codes. Usually older apps that have come from PPC code. I would guess that would be either because the developer doesn't want to waste time removing the code that adds the Type and Creator codes to the files, or more likely, to make sure files passed to other users still on older Macs that don't use UTI won't have trouble opening them.
3) I use some much older apps which have still not been rewritten at all for Intel Macs and are still all PPC code. They still write Type and Creator codes. -

'Alt' with + or - doesn't work
The adjustment increment of several of the sliders is supposed to be reduced by holding the Alt key down while the + or - key. This doesn't work on my system. I've tried tested both Alt keys with both + and - keys on my keyboard. No luck. All I get is the Windows error tone. Using the Shift key to increase the adjustment increment works as it should. Any ideas out there? TIA, njb

Windows + and - give small increments , shift and + and - give big increments
Mac + and - give big increments , alt and + and - give small increments.
And the Martin Evenings book is the best LR book for me, though here he's may be not clear enough.
