USING STRUTS2 DOJO PLUGIN TAGS GIVES COMPILER ERROR (JDev 10.1.3.3)

Hi.
Using Struts 2.1.2 dojo plugin tags gives compiler error:
Error(9): Couldn't instantiate tag sx:head (class: null). Be sure that the tag class is available...
(translated from spanish)
So I can't run the application.
When configured, tags can be chosen from the component palette and the normal struts tags (not the dojo ones) do compile and run ok.
From service request:
Examining Jdeveloper's console message, its apparent that the tag library is not compatible with JDeveloper because of
the following warning:
oracle.jsp.logger.JspMessages.warningInvalidTldVersion:J2EE JSP-0033
Someone has any workaroun or solution?
### Steps to Reproduce ###
1.- Create new application and project
2.- Copy Struts 2.1.2 jar libs including dojo somewhere (for example in WEB-INF/lib)
3.- Associate the jars to the project (Libraries option in Project Properties)
4.- Create a JSP
5.- Use a dojo tag in the JSP

Why does plsql give compilation error for select statement?

When I run following plsql program, it gives compilation error. Could somebody please point me out what could be wrong here? I am running it from system user.

Role based grants are not available within the stored procedures.

There is a minor issue with Logic where Logic sends corrupt midi data
to plugins when recording in loopmode (looptool),
we've released a hotfix for ElectraX 1.2 as well as fixed this in
ElectraX 1.3 (currently in beta).
ElectraX 1.3 is set for release in early July and if I remember
correct the current ElectraX demo also has the fix included,
so redownloading/reinstalling the demo should take care of it.
In the meanwhile another possible workaround is to switch off
loopmode when recording.

I am trying to run "asant build" command to build package for bookstore1 example given in j2ee tutorials.
I installed my j2ee tutorial 1.4 in "c:\java\j2eetutorial14" and my example is in "c:\java\j2eetutorial\examples\web\bookstore1".
My j2ee SDK with appliation server is installed in C:\sun\appserver.

follows.Did you package the bookstore common files as described in Chapter 3? My guess is that you didn't include bookstore.jar from <INSTALL>/j2eetutorial14/examples/build/web/bookstore/dist/.

Using Web Service in BPEL Causes Compile Error

I am trying to use a document style web service (accepts an
org.w3c.dom.Element as a parameter) in a BPEL process. I am using JDeveloper
to generate the web service, and to build the BPEL process. When I
incorporate the web service as a partnerlink and compile, I get the
following error:
[Error ORABPEL-10902]: compilation failed [Description]: in "bpel.xml", XML
parsing failed because "undefined part element. In WSDL at
"file.../myws.wsdl", message part element
"{htt//www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema}any" is not defined in any of the schemas.
Please make sure the spelling of the element QName is correct and the WSDL
import is complete. ". [Potential fix]: n/a.
Basically, JDeveloper baulks at the wsdl it generated for the web service!

The project is using Oracle Fusion Middleware. The target AS is Oracle AS
10.1.2.0.2 (J2EE1.3). My IDE is JDeveloper 10.1.2 (FYI, generates Oracle's
own style of web service).

It sounds as though you might be having a different problem, which is you are not getting any sound accompanying your videos -- is that the problem? PDF App works fine on Acrobat 7 but gives compilation Errors in Livecycle

I have a PDF application that has been working fine in Acrobat 7 for years (for a Fortune 50 company). We had to upgrade our environments to Acrobat 8/9 and the same app either HANGS or Shuts Down when opened in Acrobat 8/9 (Reader and Professional). When I timed some sections of the code, I got down to the following statement (Click action of a button):

Where Home is a subform on page 1 and APHomeSF is a subform within Home form. This statement takes a fraction of a second in Pro 7 but 18 seconds in Pro 8. The APHomeSF subform has a checkbox, text field, date field and a button. Even when I changed the reset statement to resetting ONLY the checkbox:

Pro 8 still took 18 secs to reset the data. My question is that have any BASIC things changed in Acrobat 8/9 from Ver 7 that are deprecated or not supported, which may cause our application to take longer to run or just shut down.
I am using Livecycle Designer to edit the application. When I open the application in Livecyle and just save it, I get many "Argument mismatch in property or function argument" errors. Following is one of the places:

Now, when I delete the line "var name = CopyElementName.rawValue" with the comment PROBLEM LINE, the error goes away. CopyElementName is just a drop-down list.
I don't understand what is wrong in this line for it to cause the Argument mismatch error.

In some versions of Oracle (certainly all of the 8.x versions and earlier, and possibly some of the earlier 9 versions) the SQL parsers in the SQL engine and in the PL/SQL engine were different. Some features that worked directly in SQL did not work in PL/SQL. Scalar sub-queries were one of those things.
You have three options. You can try to re-write the insert statement to eliminate the PL/SQL unimplemented feature. You can create a view in the database for the SELECT part of the insert statement then use that view in the insert. finally, and least desirable, you can build the whole statment as a string, and use EXECUTE IMMEDIATE to run it in PL/SQL.

Have read all your articles about settings up the plugins but neither will work with Firefox.
IE11 had no problem.
Why do you make your software so heard to work with and so hard to get support?

Do I understand this correctly. If you use the named plugins sites give a 404 error but with the plugins the sites do not ?

AJAX code compilation error in jdk1.4.2_15 in JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0

I am using AJAX for search functionality in our appication which involves ADF JSF,jspx pages in JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0. When I compile the following code it compiles fine without error in jdk1.5 but gives compilation error in jdk1.4.2_15.

Compilation error giving on the line " for (Row row:hits.getAllRowsInRange()){ "
and it says " Error ; Expected "
Can somebody helpme out what should I change on this line in order to compile this ?

Thanks for your response. I removed <String> after LIST and it compiles. But the problem
is with the following iterator code which is giving error while compiling in jdk1.4.2_15. Trying to find out the equivalent iterator code of the following which is in jdk1.5

Compilation error for code in Solaris 8 which was compiled in SUNOS 4.1.3

Hi,
I compiled the C source files in Solaris 8 which was earlier compiled in SUNOS 4.1.3(Solaris 1.1).
On compiling I get following discrepencies: 1. Executable size are considerably different.
2. I am using some X windoes system library, it gives compilation error like "prototype mismatch 2 arguments passed when 3 required". "improper member use: fd " fd is the member od display structure.
3. "identifier redeclared: shmat current : function() returning pointer to char
previous: function(int, pointer to const void, int) returning pointer to void : "/usr/include/sys/shm.h""
4. Also I am getting "cg error :..: Disk quota exceeded " while compiling one of the modules.
Please let me know solution of all/any of these.

Sounds like ancient code that no longer matches current API's.
Theres not much option except to rewrite those bits.

AspectJ usage for compilation error on field/class Member type

I have stuck up with impleamentation of functionality to achieve following-
I have class ABC and have multiple members in that. I want to give compiler error if the field type is List or non-primitive. I am trying this with AspectJ. But could not accomplish the task. Can somebody please suggest me some method or way to get this done ?

I suggest using JDK 6 and javac for this task. To get started, see the packages javax.annotation.processing and javax.lang.model.*; also the JDK comes with an example checker in
sample/javac/processing/src/CheckNameProcessor.java
