Using Styles with HTML

Hi, I've tried an example at livedocs.adobe.com ->
http://livedocs.adobe.com/flash/9.0/main/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm?context=Liv eDocs_Parts&file=00000917.html
<- and followed exact steps mentioned in the document but i get
the following two error messages. Your help will be greatly
appreciated.
1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant:
Void.
1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant:
Void.
Note: i'm using CS3 Flash.
Thank you
malik

Try changing the two uses of Void to void (lower case
v).

  • Howto use java with html

    Hi,
    I have got following project :
    an axis webcam displays an image thanks to http protocol
    at the right of my image, I have to create a panel with some java controls.
    I would like some hints on howto do this?
    Do I need a to setup a web server or is it possible to do this using a single html file loaded in my browser ?
    Best Regards
    Steph

    At best you can load an applet in a html page (the other possibility is to use servlets and JSP's to do server side processing, which is most likely not what you want to do).
    But what do you want to do with these "java controls"?

  • Junk characters display while using multipart with html content in Javamail

    Hi All,
    I have used Java mail API to send mail with attachment. To enable to attachment in mail and to do content formatting i have used multipart and html content type together.
    My web application runs on apache tomcat 5.5 in MAC server. Java version is 1.5.
    The Function which i have used for sending mail with attachment is as follows:
    public void sendmailAttached(String to,String from,String host,boolean debug,String mailContent,String mailSubject,String cc,String attachFiles)
              String mailarray[]=to.split(";");
              Properties props = new Properties();

    There is no "sendmail" method in the JavaMail API.
    The debug flag is set using the Session.setDebug method, or by setting the Session property "mail.debug".
    If you're using someone else's helper classes with JavaMail, they may provide another way to set it.

  • Using SSI with html page

    I've got several html pages that I made to use SSI's. The code would go like:
    <div class="footer">
         <!--#include file="../ssi/footer.html" -->
          <div class="clr"></div>
    But when I preview the page on the server, it's not showing the code. If I bypass the SSI and paste the html code in directly it shows.
    I'm sure the path is correct.  I can browse to it and I've also tried putting in the whole url just incase DW's Insert messed up.
    Inserting SSI's works fine with php files, but when I try it in htm files I can't get it to work.
    Is there something I'm doing wrong?

    Also, change this
    <!--#include file="../ssi/footer.html" -->
    to this:
    <!--#include virtual="../ssi/footer.html" -->

  • Using Styles With the ComboBox

    Hi --
    I believe I have posted a question similar to this before,
    but can someone
    tell me how to go about styling a ComboBox via Actionscript
    3?
    I found this list for AS 2 in the help file:
    alternatingRowColors, backgroundColor,
    backgroundDisabledColor, borderStyle
    color, disabledColor, embedFonts, fontFamily, fontSize,
    fontStyle,
    fontWeight, textAlign,
    textDecoration, textIndent, defaultIcon, repeatDelay,
    repeatInterval,
    rollOverColor,
    selectionColor, selectionDuration, selectionDisabledColor,
    selectionEasing,
    textRollOverColor,
    textSelectedColor, useRollOver
    However, when I tried this code:
    testCombo.textField.setStyle("backgroundColor",0xcc00cc);
    or
    testCombo.dropdown.setRendererStyle("backgroundColor",0xcc00cc);
    it didn't work.
    Can someone tell me which of the items in the list above (if
    any?) work with
    AS 3 and what other options are also available?
    Thanks
    Rich

    I believe setStyle is the method of the component
    (UIComponent) - not it's children.
    ComboBox.textField is a reference to the TextField of the
    component. As such it seems like it should be styled with
    methods/properties that TextField class has (setting StyleSheet,
    etc.)
    To get what elements of the component can be styled you can
    use getStyleDefinition on the component.

  • Using policy with html code

    I have created policy for permissions for the applet to comunicate over sockets...how to get it to access that policy file from inside the html code
    example html
    <center><applet code="CBJGUI.class" width="675" height="510"></center>
    </applet>
    example cmnd line to load with policy thru applet viewer
    appletviewer -J-Djava.security.policy=CBJper CBJv.1.0.htm
    please help....so close I can smell it

    I have exactly the same doubt.
    I read somewhere that you might need to change the java.security file in the {java installation}/jre/lib/ file. I added the grant permission lines to it too. Still it doesnt work.
    If i run the same application by passing the security policy thru the command line and run the applet thru appletviewer then the same application works.
    How to get it to work through the browser though?
    Please reply soon.

  • DW crashes when I use PHP and HTML

    Hi, I need to use PHP with DW to validate a form.
    However, when I use PHP with HTML DW crashes. I use a PHP
    script to to select the correct radio button when the form is
    submitted (see below).
    It works fine in the browsers and I can even edit in Notepad.
    I am not sure how to solve this - I altered the DTD from
    strict to transitional (it didn't work). I am using the latest
    version of DW CS3.
    Any ideas?

  • Zoomify embedding with HTML Snippet?

    Can you use Zoomify with HTML Snippet in iWeb '08? I can't seem to make it work.

    I have placed a Zoomify an my site and there i explaned how to do this
    1.If you are ready in Photoshop and have exported the file you’ll find a web-page with the name filename.html and a map that’s called filename_img. Open the HTML page with software like Taco HTML Edit. (Freeware)
    2.Select al the code and copy it.
    3.Go to the web-page in iWeb where you want Zoomify, choose webwidget and paste in the HTML.
    4.Publish your site.
    5.If finished, open your iDisk and open the map with your page name (path iDisk(your name)/web/your site name/your page name)
    6.Copy the map filename_img to the map called as the page name. This can take some time

  • How to create and use Data Vault with HTML/JavaScript (SAPUI5) for Mobile Apps?

    Hello,
    I am creating a demo Enterprise Mobile App, for cross platform and I want to use the Data Vault.
    I am not able to figure out how to implement the Data Vault with HTML/JavaScript i.e. SAPUI5 for cross platform mobile apps I have a tutorial, but it is for Android based apps. Where as I want it for iOS as well. I guess, in this case, implementing the Data Vault using SAPUI5 over HTML and JavaScript would be  better.
    If anyone has any links or sample code to implement Data vault in HTML/JavaScript (SAPUI5) or specific for iOS apps, it would be great.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    This is the "SAP Mobile Documents" community, so this seems to be the wrong place for asking your question related to Data Vault / SAPUI5.
    Maybe you should post your question here: http://scn.sap.com/community/developer-center/front-end.
    best regards,

  • How can I use javascript in a Text Area with HTML editor??

    My question is... how can I use javascript in Text Area with HTML editor??
    I can use javascript functions that change the content of Text Areas but i can´t if i try in text area with html editor....
    I need to limit number of characters in a text area with html editor and i can´t.
    could anybody help me please?

    I have been experiencing similar problems with the HTML Editor and have managed to find an answer that should start to answer some of my questions. The Apex HTML Editor Standard is actually an HTML editor called FCKeditor. The FCKeditor has a Javascript API that can be found at http://docs.fckeditor.net/FCKeditor_2.x/Developers_Guide/JavaScript_API. Unfortuately this doesn't seem to give the whole answer and I found more at http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/thread.cfm/threadid:49607.
    I needed to get the text entered within my html editor standard (e.g. P1_MYTEXT) and use it within my javascript function. I did this by using the following script
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function showtext(){
    var oEditor = FCKeditorAPI.GetInstance('P1_MYTEXT');
    var editortext = escape(oEditor.GetXHTML(oEditor.FormatOutput));
    alert(editortext);
    </script>
    Hope this helps.

  • Use of javascript and textarea with HTML editor

    Hi all,
    I have been trying to use some onchange javascript in the HTML Form Element Attributes of an item which is a textarea with an HTML Editor. It just seems to ignore the code. When you "view source" the code does not seem to be there.
    What I am attempting to do is described in thread: detecting changes to items prior to submitting page
    i.e. to warn a user that if they leave the page without saving they will lose their changes. It works fine with most of the other items on the page i.e. text boxes, select lists but not the textarea with html editor.
    Is there somewhere else I should be putting my js for items of this type? I have spent some time looking through the forum posts but cannot find an answer so far.
    Thanks,
    Brian

    I'm having the same problem.
    Would like to use the onChange event in a textarea with html editor.
    This works in Firefox (where I don't get the html editor but only a textarea) but doesn't seem to work in IE.
    Is there another way of detecting the user has changed the text in the html editor?
    Thanks,
    Pieter

  • Using 2 different databases in Oracle 9i with HTML DB

    I'm new to appex and I am wondering if I can use it to use data from different databases within Oracle 9i, and if so, how/where can I find out to do it. Basically I have an already existing database in 9i, and I have to create another one that uses information from one table in that original database. I have to somehow link it to the new tables (to use the live data from the original db) to filter data. Then ultimately make use of the collaborated information with HTML DB. Any and all help/suggestions is more than greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Please see my question on stackoverflow at:

    You should be posting in the Dreamweaver forum.  This is not a design

  • Servlet with HTML using JDBC lookup

              Dear Friends
              How are you?
              I am designing a servlet with two drop down lists one on top and the other below.
              I implemented drop down lists using dynamic embedded HTML and SELECT tags.
              I want the user to make a selection in the first drop down list, and the second
              drop down list should display a list based on the selection made in the first
              drop down list.
              Please comment in detail on the most efficient way of achieving this.
              Thanking you
              Very truly yours
              Sriram (Ram) Peddibhotla, PhD

    For this I'd probably load all the values for both drop down list and use
              javascript.
