Using the same mapping
I have an application for generating EDI file in which i have two types of exception to handle. One is the delivery failure exception which is handled in a seperate inner scope(only the send port is inside the scope) and another exception handler for handling
the other exception in the orchestation. In both the cases when exception occurs the status for the particular record has to be updated in the database as "Error".
So for this in the inner scope i have constructed a message, mapped using transform shape and sent the message to database and received the response. The same process with similiar shapes are being done for the outer scope too.
Kindly advice if there is a way by which the shapes can be used only once and used in both the places.

From what I understand, you are performing same action twice and if there is chance of this action to be repeated then you can consider of creating a different orchestration dedicated to perform this action and you can call this orchestration whenever required.

Multiple topics using the same map ID
Hi!
Can anyone tell me how I go about assigning a map ID number when numerous topics use the same screen? When I try to do it in the Map ID dialog box, it tells me the number is already assigned.
BTW, does anyone know of any documentation that helps in creating map IDs?. Most of the information I've found here on the forum addresses how to work with the developer to make sure they work, not for the tech writer to learn how to actually do the map ID'ing so you know you are doing it correctly. Both books I have on RoboHelp do not discuss this in any length.

For example, to complete three different endorsements on an insurance policy, they all use the same screen. Of course, there are different instructions on how to use that screen for each type of endorsement.

But I think you're probably right in that I will have to put links in those topics to the one with the map ID even though that task is not the task they are completing.

RH9: Multiple Topics with the Same Map ID
I'm trying to use the same Map ID with more than one topic, which seems logical to me as a process that contains multiple screens could open an overview of the process, but I get an error that "The map number is already in this project".
I've tried manually editing the BSSCDefault.h file, but when I go back to RH the second topic is still showing the unique Map ID that I deleting.
How can I bypass this? Thanks.
One more thing: I just noticed that in the Edit Map IDs dialog box the Map ID and Topic Name columns use the same topic name (which also appears in the H file). This topic name also appears in the Page Title field of the TOC Properties dialog box, but the Link to field can have a different HTML filename. Is this ok?Hi,

How to use the same POWL query for multiple users
Hello,
I have defined a POWL query which executes properly. But if I map the same POWL query to 2 portal users and the 2 portal users try to access the same page simultaneously then it gives an error message to one of the users that
"Query 'ABC' is already open in another session."
where 'ABC' is the query name.
Can you please tell me how to use the same POWL query for multiple users ?

SandhyaBatch processing usually involves using actions you have recorded. In Action you can insert Path that can be used during processing documents. Path have some size so you may want to only process document that have the same size. Look in the Actions Palette fly-out menu for insert path. It inserts|records the current document work path into the action being worked on and when the action is played it inserts the path into the document as the current work path..

Two commands in the report using the same parameter - fail under Java
I have a report that contains 2 SQL commands.
Both of these commands use one parameter X of type Number in their 'WHERE' clause.
When i'm viewing the report in CR 2008, i'm asked for a value of this parameter and all data is filled in the report - OK
The problem occurs when the same report is printed through Crystal Java Runtime:
Report is printed without data! - it's empty.
What we noticed in the debug information thrown by the Crystal libraries is that parameter value is set only in one of these commands:
Original statement 1:
select a.something
from ANM_T a

Original statement 2:

WHERE a.anmid={?PARAMETER01Id}
OUTCOME of Statement 1:

In above example we may see that crystal set the value only in the second statement - first one got 0 - i suspect its some default value.
Parameter in the Java code is set in the right way. In case of using only one statement it works. If we use two separate parameters (whose values are equal ) it also works.

What is strange for me is that Crystal Reports enables to use the same parameter in two commands but if you edit one of them you may change the type of this parameter for a command ( for example from Number to String) but the parameter type in the second command remains unchanged ( it's strange because in my opinion it is the same parameter). In both cases, the observed problem occurred. In one query the parameter was set properly, while on the other it was set to 0 (or empty string in case of string parameters). What is more, no data appeared on the print.
Do you happen to know the reason of this issue?How can we fix the problem?

I setup two iphones on "Find My Iphone App" Using the same apple id on each phone. Now the app finds only the phone I setup first. Do I need to use two different apple ids? If your answer is yes then how do I errase the setup in the second phone and assign a new id?
As TJBUSMC1973 states, and as I said earlier, the Find My iPhone app has nothing to do with your use of Find My iPhone. The app is just used if necessary to locate another iOS device from that particular iOS device. To see if both of your devices are being located in Find My iPhone, log into www.icloud.com and select Find My iPhone. Both of the devices should appear. If they do not, then go into whichever of the devices does not appear and make sure that Find My iPhone is activated. It has to be activated through iCloud, and for both to show on the same map, they both have to have the same iCloud ID.

Obiee 11g and custom j2ee app using the same cookie name

I wrote a same j2ee web application. i'am using authentification through a realm configured in the web.xml.
This web app is deployed in the same weblogic than obiee 11g. What i want to do is to embed my application in a dashboard using an iframe tag, and use the same login from analytics to my custom web app.
In this article http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11035_01/wls100/security/thin_client.html#wp1039551, it is said that by default, all web apps in the sames weblogic server are using the same cookie name so that they share authentification between them. However, i have read in the web that analytics in obiee 11g is using a cookie with the name "ORA_BIPS_NQID".
In the weblogic.xml of my custom application, i set the cookie-name parameter to ORA_BIPS_NQID. However, in the dashbord, it still prompt for authentification to my custom web app.
How can we share authentification between analytics and a custom web app in the same weblogic ?
NB : I dont want to pass the username et password through the url.
Thanks.By default, if you don't specify a cookie-name in the weblogic.xml configuration file, the weblogic server create a cookie named JSESSIONID for your application. For exemple, if two applications use the default configuration, both of them will use the same cookie name which is JSESSIONID. In this case, when you log in the first application, your are automaticaly logged in the second application with the same credentials. I have already test this kind of integration and it works perfectly. You only need that the two applications are deployed in the same weblogic server.
Now, i want to have the same behaviour between obiee 11g and my custom application deployed in the same weblogic server. I read somewhere in the web that obiee 11g presentation service (analytics) is configured with a cookie-name value = "ORA_BIPS_NQID". So in the weblogic.xml configuration file of my web app, i specify a cookie-name value = "ORA_BIPS_NQID" to have the same cookie-name between the two application. But, it still not work. It prompt for authentification in the dashboards.
I now, that such an integration is possible, because the other bi applications (mapviewer, bipublisher,...) are actually other web applications. However when using, for exemple, maps in dashbords, the mapviwer application automaticaly user the credentials of the user connected in analytics. -

The AbstractListableRealm, which I assume you're extending,
has three methods:
authUserPassword :
checks passwords
authSSLCertificate :
is passed in the certificate verified by the SSL
handshake. The default implementation of this
method hands the certificate to the CertAuthenticator
(if there is one). The CertAuthenticator typically
uses one of the fields in the certificate to come up with
a user name (eg. the email address minus the @ stuff),
then verifies that there is a user with that name in
the realm. Since SSL verfied the certificate, this
method doesn't do any further checking. I think we
ship a SimpleCertAuthenticator sample that you can
look at.
authCertificates :
Like authSSLCertificates except that the certificate
came from someplace else. I'm not sure under what
conditions this is called.
Normally, the realm worries about the user/password
authentication then relies on the CertAuthenticator for
the certificate stuff. The CertAuthenticator maps the
certificate to a user name then goes to the realm to
make sure that there really is a user with that name.

- You would have to make sure that the resource OID User always gets provisioned first, so that the account exist when these additional attributes are being set for the user via the other resource Department1 User. You can do this with Resource Dependency in OIM.
- Now for using the same IT Resource, just create the new form and in the IT Resource type form field, map the properties to the same IT Resource Definition, so when the Provisioning Process gets invoked it uses the same IT Resource instead.

Using the same keyboard for Mac os X and Windows
I got an A/B switch to use the same monitor, keyboard and mouse on both platforms, however the keyboard is acting screwy even after mapping the keys correctly. Say after using the left arrow three times or more I get it to start typing 44444 in the browser window. The caps activate by themselves and so forth. Yet the keyboard is fine with WINDOZE>okay here it is gain
Any suggestions on making a keyboard compatible with both platforms?I had to try a couple of KVM models before I found one that I was happy with -- so I advise people to buy their KVM switch from a store with an easy return policy.
Gernerally it will be easiest to find a good KVM switch if your mouse and keyboard are USB.
Using any kind of PS/2 -> USB converter with a KVM switch also increases the likelihood of the kind of problems you reported. -
I want to use the same SSID in two sites (central y remote)
I have several AP in H-REAP mode, one of them is in a remote location anthe other are in the central location. I want to use the same SSID in both locations with differents VLANS.
In the central site, i have 3 WLANS (SSID) whit 3 different VLAN eachother. I put the local swicthing in one SSID that I want to use in the remote site. In the remote location the users can authenticate and everything works fine but in the central location that SSID doesnt work, the user in the central location can not authenticate.
It seems that i can not use the same WLAN (SSID) and use it en both locations checking the local switching.
What can i do?

th aeuthentitcation i have been used is "LOCAL: WPA-WPA2-PSK" in both locations (Central and remote). In the remote sites, tha AP is connected to a cisco switch through switch port mode trunk, and I use VLAN 251. When the local switching feature is activeted on WLC, I can map the VLAN 251 (in te remote site) to the SSID I am using inthe central site and everything works fine but in the central locations the user can associste to he AP but they can not receive IP from the appropiate VLAN.
I don t know what parameter have to change....

Connecting to two database instances using the same Toplink
Hi,
We are trying to create a process using BPEL where data from one database instance needs to be passed to the other. The process is compiling properly and we could deploy it in BPEL Process Manager. But when we try to run the process, the data is not getting inserted into the second instance. There is no error /exception being thrown at most of the time, but at times we are getting a 'Unique constraint error' eventhough there is no duplication of data.
Can we connect to two different instances using the same toplink. How can we achieve this.

What happens on iCloud when multiple family members use the same Apple ID? For example if we all choose to use iCloud for contacts, are they all merged together? We use the same Apple ID so we can use find my iPhone to keep track of the whole family.
Of course if you are both connected to the same iCloud account you have the same contacts - what did you expect?. The contacts live on the server and are read from there by the devices; so as you've both managed to sync your contacts up to iCloud they are now inextricably mixed. You can only delete your contacts by deleting individual ones, and doing that will delete them from your phone as well.
You can only unravel this by
1. In the iCloud contacts page at http://icloud.com, select all the contacts, click on the cogwheel icon at bottom left and choose 'Export vCard'.
2. Sign out of System Preferences>iCloud
3. Create a new Apple ID and open a new iCloud account with it for your own use.
4. Import the vCard back into the iCloud contacts page.
5. Go to http://icloud.com and sign in with the original ID. This is now his ID. Work through the contacts individually deleting the ones you don't want him to have. When done sign out and advise him to change his password.
6. Go to the new iCloud account and delete his contacts individually.
Of course if you have also been syncing calendars and using the same email address there are problems with doing this.
