Using the thermometer during form layout

I'm trying to write a script that uses the thermometer object to display the progress of a form's layout. I have a function that uses a loop to show/hide 60 instances of a repeating subform (line items) based on a user-selected date. showing/hiding the instances of the subform takes quite a bit of time (about 90+ seconds) so I would like to use the thermometer to show the progress so that users would know that something is actually happening. Any suggestions or examples would be greatly appreciated...

Use the calendar during call?

I wonder if there is a way to use the calendar during a phone call?
It's difficult not be able to use that funktion on a work mobile.

ok this is what you can do
you can go to :
tools- settings-general- personalization-standby mode- shortcuts
one of my shortcuts is a calendar and one is a contacts right and left key...when you are on a call all you have to do in order to be able to text and use calendar and other functions is to press the left option button and select -go to standby menu from there you can do pretty much everything you want or need while on a call. i hope this helps
in order to see how this works you can call a friend who is patient and/or yourself and see how this works out

Problem in OOPs ALV using the BOX_FNAME property in LAYOUT

Hello Guys,
I am trying to use the property BOX_FNAME property in the LAYOUT of OOPs ALV, as a CHECKBOX for selecting the records and then processing the selected records.
Also i need to implement the functionality of SELECT/DESELECT ALL.
Below is the code i am using:-
DATA : w_layo TYPE lvc_s_layo. " Layout
w_layo-box_fname = 'MARKE'.
MARKE is a field used in internal table as CHAR01 field.
But know when i select record on display, the internal table field MARKE is not reflected back with the values.
Please suggest if i am missing something.

Double click home button for camera to show up (and iPod). Notifications seem to show up on lock screen that way, too.

How do I use the vector web forms??

I'm new to using vector graphics and need to know how to go about using these web forms using Illistrator to make it functional on a web site. I tried opening it with the Illustrator, Fireworks, but not sure how to get the white fields to actually work like a text field. Hotpot will only link to another page which I don't want. I want the user to be able to enter their email address or whatever info is required then be able to submit. Please help!

That graphic is for making a wireframe/design. It cannot offer any real form functionality.
To create a form with that appearance, you will need to wrestle with HTML, CSS, and your choice of scripting languages to process the input.

Do I need to use Business Catalyst to use the built-in forms?

I use FTP voyager to host my website. I have a contact form on my website, when I fill out the form this dialog box appears: "This standard HTML form is configured to work with Adobe Business Catalyst". Once I click OK I then get the message the from has been sent and recieved, I check my email and I have not recieved an email.
Can somebody please tell me if there is something I need to do to overcome this issue, or do forms not work unless you are using Buinsess Catalyst?

How can we use the saved alv grid layout in a report?

I have a requirement where I go to se16n transaction and select a few fields of a table and extract the data of the table. Again I re-arrange the columns in the report and save it as a variant along with this new layout. Now how to call this variant in a report wherein I want only the re arranged positions of the column(fields) of the field catalog? Is there any function module available?

Using page parameter causes "form" layout report to become "tabular"

I did a diff on the HTML generated for the page and found this:

Notice that the VALIGN="TOP" is missing in the first one. Does anyone know how to fix this?

No. You can only achieve this with smart custom templates. Here is sample code which will display multiple employees in form layout:

Changing Adobe Interactive Form Layout When Archiving

We are using the adobe interactive forms (adobe liveCycle designer) to create forms for outgoing paper checks. Because of security risks with reprinting checks, it is necessary to change the output of the checks when they are archived (writing 'VOID' over the check), while the form created in the print spool remains unchanged. Is there a way to create dynamic fields on the interactive form based on when the form is being archived? We are using the archiveLink functionality with an external optical storage app. I know there is the possibilty to run the printing and the archiving process separately, using different form layouts, however, reconciliation becomes and issue and I would like to run both printing and archiving together in the same mass activity.

This works pretty well but, sometimes, at system startup, adding a rule ends up with the error 0x8007000e (E_OUTOFMEMORY) ! At startup, the system is always loaded cause several applications starts at the same time. But nothing abnormal. This is quite a random
issue.
According MSDN documentation, this error indicates that the system "failed to allocate the necessary memory".
I'm not convinced that we ran out of memory.
Has someone experienced such an issue? How to avoid this?

Does Windows 8 desktop have the same issue? Are you building a custom WE8S image, or are you using a full WE8S image? The reason I ask is to make sure you have the modules in the image to support the operation.
Is Windows Embedded 8.1 industry an option?

ITunes 10.2.1.1 crashes when using the visualizer

Running Win7, completely up to date, NVIDIA GeForce G210 with current drivers. When I start up the visualizer iTunes runs for a few songs and then suddenly goes silent, screen goes black, and my entire system freezes requiring a hard power-down. This started happening this week. Tried restoring to an earlier date but no help.
I can't use an application that fails. Does Apple want me to stop using iTunes?

After a lot of research it seems Apple intentionally designed it this way. It's a power management issue. With iTunes 10, Apple decided to allow iTunes to "work with" the PC's power management settings, which means when the PC goes to sleep, iTunes allows it to do that. Having the visualizer going no longer keeps the system "active". And when it goes to sleep, it can't be woken up by anything other than a hard re-boot. So their intention is apparently to force Windows users to disable their security-related system sleep settings if they're to use the visualizer during extended plays. How wonderful. Apple is starting to sound more and more like the competition when it comes to user friendliness.

How can i insert character data in a table using the report trigger

well here is my query

i need to to insert data from within the report using the before parameter form trigger.Error is as follows:
error: rep-1425,cant parse the statement,missing comma
This error got removed by removing the space in ''po report" and before parameter"
Now the error that i get is :ora-00984:column not allowed here
Also i need to keep the spaces between the values while inserting data
Please help!!!

Using Dynamic LOV in Forms

Hi Everybody,
I am making forms based on procedures in 9iAS Portal. I am using two parameters for the form. One is Item Code for which I am having a simple LOV with sql statement. Other LOV has a dynamic Sql statement which accepts the Item_code as parameter and displays records containing the item_code. When I run the Lov seperately through navigaror it runs properly but when I used the lov through form and passed the item_code to it, on runtime it says that the lov is based on dynamic sql and unable to show results.
Can anybody please help me out of this problem.
