Error when using a condition for required attribute

I have a requirement to validate the mandatory fields only when the submit button is pressed....if some other button is pressed or some how the form is submitted the validations should not be performed....
I have used required="#{MyBB.somecondition}" for all the mandatory fields...the method that is being called for doing the condition check is given below:

I think the problem is not clear....my mistake
I try to be more elaborate on this....
I open up a popup page from my main window....Here I perform a search(lets say there is a requirement for finding the Country and pincode for a particular city that the user enters)
Now when I select the particular row in the datatable and click the submit button...... I want the selected values to be filled inside the parent window.....
I want to bring to your notice that the button that is clicked is in the popup page...not in the parent window.....
So you see that when that button in popup is clicked i am submiting the form of the parent window and during that time I dont want the validation to occur..... To submit the form of the parent window I use the Javascript like this : window.opener.document.forms[0].submit();Also one more thing that I want to mention is that the method that is used for specifying the condition for required attribute for mandatory fields in the parent window works fine for any button that i click inside my parent window......
What I mean by this is lets say I have a button to add a dynamic row into my parent page then also I have to submit the form but during that time validation should not occur and it works fine.
So now I think its clear that the Javascript is being invoked from another page which is submitting the parent window.....
Then you're doing something wrong. Invoking the wrong button maybe? So please enlighten me where i am wrong and how possibly would I know which button I am invoking??

HR Query using two diffferent master data attribute values

I have a requirement to calculate headount based on certain condition.
Example: The condition is as follows:
For each "Performace Rating" (ROW)
Count Headcount for "Below MIn" (COLUMN)
- Below Min = "Annual Salary" less than "Pay Grade Level MIn"
- "Annual Salary" and "Pay Grade Level" are attributes of "Employee" Master data and is of type CURR
-"Pay Grade Level Min" in turn is an attribute of "Pay Grade Level" master data.
I am trying to build this query based on a standard Infoset 0ECM_IS02 that has an ODS (Compensation Process), Employee and Person" .
Any help in the required approach is appreciated like creating a restricetd KF using ROWCOUNT (Number of Records) and implement the logic for "Below Min"

Scenario: Implementing Unique Key on ManagerID & Location ID in DepartmentEO(Department Table)
Step#1: Open the Desired Entity Object “DepartmentEO”. Go to Overview tab & Click “General” Finger tab.
Step#2: Expand “Alternate Keys” section & click “+”.
Step#3: In the Pop-up wizard, Enter a name for alternate Key “Unique_Manager_X_Location”.
Step#4: Select the desired attributes/fields from available list & Shuffle to right side.
Step#5: Now go to “Business Rules” finger tab.
Step#6: Select “Entity Validators” in the list & click “+” to add a new entity level validation rule.
Step#7: In the Pop-up, Select “Rule Type” as Unique Key
Step#8: In the “Rule Definition” tab select the key “Unique_Manager_X_Location”created.
Step#9: Now go to “Failure Handling” tab, and click the Magnifier Icon .
Step#10: If the key is not already created then in the “Select Text Resource” Popup, Using the functional design document, Enter display value, Key and Description. And click “Save & Select” Button.
Step#11: Now Click “OK”.

We are using two pricing conditions 1st is ZBP1 Automatic pricing condition

We are using two pricing conditions 1st is ZBP1 Automatic pricing
condition type, 2nd is ZBP2 manual pricing condition type. While
creating sales order, when our sales users entering old pricing date, SAP
system automatically proposing the manual condition ZBP2 (Manual)instead
of ZBP1(from condition records)
We want to restrict this behavior of the system. System should not pick
the manual condition ZBP2 if the automatic pricing condition ZBP1 exist
for that particular line item (irrespective of the pricing date). We
donu2019t want to use manual conditions to all the other customers except
intercompany customer.

Hi,
It would be better if you remove the Check Box as mandatory for that Manual Condition Type in the Pricing Procedure.In such case , system will not ask you to enter the Manual Condition Type , where ever it is required , Sales Users can enter it manually.
But still Sales User try to give manually then you have to make a small coding in the new Routine at Manual Condition Type in the Pricing Procedure that if Condition Record for automatic Condition Type exits then system should not allow to enter it manually.

Calculation of tax with two conditions

hi all,
i have an issue regarding tax in condition in po.
i want the calculation of tax should be on two condition basis, while i am giving value in tax code field in invoice tab.
1. when i am entering tax code, the value like- L1- 4%, L2- 12%, that is calculating on gross price.
supose- GP- 100
     tax- 4%-     4
                    104
then am puting fright charge- 10
so total is 114
2. supose- GP- 100
         fright     - 10
                        110
then a will calculate- 4% on 110
how this could be done, the 2nd one.

For this you have to treat Freight as a Discount Condition Type in MM Pricing
Take a copy of RA01 in M/06 and keep it as Positive Condition
Here keep
Cond. class   A Discount or surcharge
Calculat.type A Percentage
Cond.category Blank
And Plus/minus - A (Positive)
Use this in Pricing Procedure (M/08) after Gross Price ad Discount conditions (before Subtotal)
Now
Base Price = 100
Freight = 10
Subtotal = 110
Tax (4%) = on Subtotal

Using If condition in For EACH Group

I want to use if condition in for-each-group. Basically my requirement is that i want to use dynamic grouping. There will be two groups and the upper group and lower group will be selected on the basis of a report parameter.
I hope i made it clear enough. So please help me in this. Any ideas will be highly appreciable.

You can add a If condition filed after the for-each field
for EG : <?if:ADDRESS_TYPE = 'Employee Address'?>
and then add anothet field which has <?end if?>

Transformation issue while using IF condition.

hi everyone,
i am using bpel transformation based on the condition of field using IF condition.
A       B          C          D

now i need to apply IF condition in transformation on the filed B. if B = 20 transfer the data to one table or B NE 20 to other table
now my issue is, it is able to differentiate the rows, but the data in the field in second table remains same 20.
as i hope its storing the data in buffer location and writing it. after mapping with the fields in source.
can anyone suggest, how to get the actual value after differentiating the records.

Two conditions in a report

Hello,
I have a reports with few key figures, for one of regular key figure and formula key figure need to create two conditions. 1st condition needs to bring values greater than X values (example 20) from regular key figure. 2nd condition should bring top 10 values from formula key figure. 2nd condition should only show top 10 from list of 1st condition. Can this scenario achievable in 3.x query designer? Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi, You can have multiple Conditions in a Query wherein each Condition is evaluated independently, however the order matters. Hence, have;
- first condition on the KF where > some fixed value
- second condition on the same KF where the Top N operator is used where N is obtained from a Formula Var using Manual I/P

Using Two DAQ, is it possible?

Hi you guys! First of all, my name is Carlos and i´m a student of Mechanical Engineering. At the time, we dispose (in our university) from several test banks that are in poor conditions, so I been told to repair one of them. In`s a Refrigeration Test Bank (I attached a photo), it´s out of any operation so I have to put it operative again at first, then I have to replace all the analog indicators you see at the photo and become them digital. I`ve been doing some research on the web and I found the NI-6008 (This DAQ has been used in several applications in the University), I saw it can be connected with the LABVIEW SignalExpress, and it´d would be easy (in a manner of speak) in my case because all I have to do is display and register the values (temperature and pressure) from the bank and the program allows me that.
The problem surges when I see that NI-USB 6008 has 8 Analog Inputs, and I need 10 AI, so I´d have to buy two of them (Because is the cheapest one and I don´t have too much money) and I would like to know if there is any problem about connecting both DAQ at the same time? Is it possible to connect them with the Labview SignalExpress?
I hope to get some replies so I can solve my problem. Thanks for your help

You can certainly use two 6008s at once. And SignalExpress will handle them, as well. If you have no programming experience, SignalExpress can get you started. If you want specialized analysis or display, you can use SignalExpress to generate code to LabVIEW to get you started on an application. Note that this code will be the data acquisition and analysis part of your code. You will still need to write the GUI properly using event structures. If you do this, post on these forums for some tips to get you going in the right direction (e.g. use producer/consumer and state machine architectures).

WriteBack: Update a field based on two conditions.

Hi Experts,
I am facing a serious problem in write back to database.
Let me explain the writeback i am trying to do.
I have a table as Below
Col1----- Col2---------Col3----------Col4
100--------1-------------2----------100/(1+2)
Col1,col2,col3 are editable.
Once the values are entered in these columns Col4 is calculated by the formula (Col1/(Col2+Co3))
If the user enters 0 in col2 and col3 then it will be a division by zero which i have handled by the DECODE function
But the user requires a standard value to be shown there that is Col1/0.57895 whenever he enters 0 in col2 and col3.
I initiially put a column formula for Col4 in answers saying if col2 or col3 = 0 then (Col1/0.57895)
But as this formula is only at the prsentation level...teh values were not getting saved in the database.
My requirement is i need to put this condition in the writeback xml itself and see to it that this standard value be updated in the table itself.
like
update table set col4=Col1/0.57895 where col2=0 and col3=0
Update table set col4=(Col1/(Col2+Co3)) where col2 <>0 or col3<>0
I am unable to use two update queries in teh xml template.
Please let me know how can i implement this in the xml template.

You can't do it in the xml but you can do it in the database with a before trigger update

Two Conditions in If statement

I wanted to include two condition in a single IF statement. So, i tried below,

But this is calling the template even if one condition is false. Can i do like this? Please advice.

Assuming your field names are POH_CANCEL_FLAG AND POH_PO_TYPE;
You should be able to use:
<?if: (./POH_CANCEL_FLAG='Y' and ./POH_PO_TYPE!='RELEASE') ?>
<?call: po_oc?>
<?end if?>
OR use this:
<?choose:?>
<?when: ./POH_CANCEL_FLAG='Y' and ./POH_PO_TYPE!='RELEASE'?><?call:po_oc?>
<?end call?>
<?end when?>
<?end choose?>
