Using URLs in Presenter

Does anyone know how to add a link to a URL on the sidebar? It would be nice to use the email button that is part of the presenter properties, but from what I can see that can only be a valid email address. In Articulate, you can use an email or URL and change the text on the button to anything you want. Is there any way to do something similar in Adobe Presenter?

Hello Katherine,
In Adobe Presenter we can provide a URL in a Presentation but not at the sidebar. Following are steps to include a URL :-
1) Go to Adobe Presenter>Settings>Attachments
2) Click "Add" button
3) Select "Type" drop down and choose "link" option
4) Enter "URL" in location field.
5) Publish the presentation
6) In Published Output on button right playbar have "Attachment" icon. Click on this to open URL.
If you want to just mention URL information without hyperlink to that URL(though not a good idea) ; then you can do that in Biography or Notes section.

I have been having trouble trying to send an email using URL.
I have specified the mail host using: mailHost = Options.getProperty("mailHost", "mail.myisp.com");
and tried to send the email using this:

Its not that bad is it?Yeah, I didn't know that mailto: support was there either, is all. The blank line thing is just common in HTTP and sendmail so, I figured that would be the solution.
I don't know that it's bad... if it works. Generally, the JavaMail APIs are a more robust way of sending mail, but if mailto: URLs work, and it's simple mail, then I see no reason not to use it.

PROBLEM while using URL in order to open a file from a servlet

I am having a problem while trying to open a file from my servlet by using URL connection. Following is my code sample. what happens is when I first run my project it opens the file but after that when I rerun it again and again it sometimes opens it and sometimes not. if it can't open it it gives an error saying "the file is damaged and couldn't be repaired". I don't get any exceptions. if you guys can help me I will appreciate it so much... thanks.

You are writing (<filesize> mod 4096) bytes of crap at the end of the file. Use your variable j instead for the number of bytes to write in your loop.

Open BI Publisher report using URL View activity

Hi,
i need to call BI Publisher report and I want to use URL View activity (i followed instruction on http://oraclebizint.wordpress.com/2007/07/30/customizing-obi-ee-%e2%80%93-go-url-parameters/ but i can't have HTML Form inside af:form)
But parameters on URL View activity are visible and i have to send username and pass..
Is there another way?

Yes, I can put HTML form at top or bottom of page but i wanted to put in panelCollection (because of page design)....

How to make use of the presentation variable in SQL result query

I have 2 prompts in my dashboard.
Prompt1 decides the values of Prompt2.
I have set a presentation Variable (selected_comp) in prompt1 which holds the value selected.
To populate the values for Prompt2, I need to execute a query using the presenation variable set by Prompt1.
SELECT "List Of Values".RID from rocketv2_3 WHERE "List Of Values".NAME='COMPONENT' AND "List Of Values".VAL=@{selected_comp}
the query is resulting into
SQL Issued: SELECT "List Of Values".RID from rocketv2_3 WHERE "List Of Values".NAME='COMPONENT' AND "List Of Values".VAL=0
but the value in selected_comp is "ABC".
Can anybody help in how to make use of the presentation variable in query to get the correct value

Just use constrain check box to filter your 2nd prompt values based on the 1st prompt.

How to make use of variable present in sap standard FM to custom badi.

Hi All,
Scenario: I am using a transaction which makes use of SAP standard FM. Also I have used a zbadi to achieve my requirement. While debugging, I found that when the control goes to zbadi, i am unable to make use of the variables which are defined in standard FM.
Now my requirement is to make use of variables present in standard FM into zbadi. Can anyone suggest me how to achieve this?

if your system is NetWeaver 7.0 (ECC 6...), then you can use enhancement framework to add your code to the function module.
Otherwise, you can only access them if they have global scope, using ASSIGN ('(SAPLfunction group name)GLOBALVARNAME') TO <fieldsymbol> (be careful, you could change variable value, so make sure you don't)

Using URL Parameters in a PDF Form

I built a form in LiveCycle Designer ES and I would like a couple of fields auto populated. The only way I could see doing this without having to purchase the LiveCycle Forms Server or another solution, is to embed the information in the URL.
I found a blog post about it on Stefan Cameron's blog: http://forms.stefcameron.com/2006/10/20/using-url-requests-in-pdf-forms/
I was able to get this to work, but when I try to allow the user to save their form locally, the form information get cleared when they try to reopen it.
I searched the NET and really couldn't find anything related to my problem.
Does anyone have an idea about this or should I be looking at a different solution?

I think that I was able to resolve this issue myself. After opening the PDF with URL parameters, you need to manually enter data into a field before saving. After manually entering data in a field and saving, the form contains all of the data.

I think this may work,
1, Create a HTML Layout.
    You can put your image wherever u want with HTML Codes.

    With this, u can use the standard KM commands also.
2, U need to use KM Navigation iView for this rather than KM Doc iView.
3, In the Nav iView, u can use &rndLayoutSet=nameOfUrHTMLLayout to force the view with this new layout.

Using url with username and password in URL class

Hi,
I'm writting an applet in which I use getAppletContext().showDocument with an URL.
The problem is that I'm using URLs with username and password (http://user:[email protected]/page) and it isn't working because the browser is getting the URL http://user/page.
Is this a bug in the URL class? Or in the showDocument method?
Is there any way to make this work?

I'm not sure whether this is supported behaviour. I've had this syntax fail to work in the Netscape address bar so I can't recommend it as an approach for authentication.
If you want to authenticate the user before redirecting to the page, though, you could try creating a connection to another page on the same server and sending the authorization information then. Your browser may then be successfully authenticated.

You might not need to read back the page from the server, just connect to it. Might work.

I created a Web Intelligence report,there will be more than 30 companies use.The company only allowed to see the Company Data. I want to use the url of the way, from my company in the development of the system to open report, and refresh reported Table data.but do not want users to use the toolbar of "data refresh" button to refresh the data .
Now the question of identity authentication system, as well as statements by url open the question of Has been resolved, but it can not shield statements through the pages of "data refresh" button.
In addition, I now used by the business object XI system is posted on the JAVA environment.

I have done an aplication in which i have called sap transsaction ivew usind quick link property in .html(page) language.
where we will be fetching saplogon server using this sap trans saction ivew into the portal frame work .
when i loging into the server and log off with in the portal frame work i am not able to go to my aplication home page. since back/ forward link are disabled.
atleast i want know how to enable those links.
or else
i thought to use url ivew along with sap transaction ivew with a same page with diffrent layouts.but that is also fine.
and one more option was
i thought it to be used as pop up as so that when user login and log off into the server they will close that seperate window.
for that i have set the ivew property
"launch in a new window property As : display in a seperate head less portal window"
but even that is also not working.
i dont know y that property is not working
finally i have coded with java script , now i am able to open the portal in a seperate window but with headed portal.
for that i have coded some thing like below mentioned.
problem here is still i am getting the headed portal
but i want head less portal.
here headless in the sence i want it like the preview of the ivew.
please help me in this regard how to get the head less portal when i click on the link.

How to use URL CHIPs in Page Builder?

I have encountered a problem of using URL CHIPs in CHIP Catalog.
I cannot find any documents on how to use the CHIPs in CHIPs Catalog of Page Builder. I just simply want to display a URL in NWBC. I suppose that there is an input in URL CHIPs for URL addresses and then the URL can display. However, it is not the case.
I have already looked at the template of URL CHIPs (WDR_TEST_PAGE_CHIP_PROV_2) and still I don't understand how to use the URL CHIP.
Please give me some hints on this one.
