Using vibrate uri

I've just realized that vibration feature is added as an xml URIs. Based on 7920 Release Notes for Firmware 3.01:
With firmware release 3.01, the Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7920 can now receive a URI message from a third party XML application that activates the vibrate device on the phone. You can use these parameters to customize the vibration sequence:
Vibrate Duration?Sets the vibrate-on interval in milliseconds
Silence Duration?Sets the vibrate-off interval in milliseconds
Count?Sets the number of times to repeat the vibrate on/off sequence
Syntax for the vibrate URI is:
Vibrate:[{vibrateDuration}:{silenceDuration}:{count}]
I am testing a 7920 with cmterm_7920.4.0-03-01 firmware which is newer that 3.01.
In user profile, I have set ?VibratingCallAlert? to ?on? and ?Warning Style? to ?Vibration? and when I call phone, it vibrates.
When I pushed Vibrate URI with this
<ExecuteItem Priority="0" URL="Vibrate:[1000:1000:5]"/>
I do not get error which shows that phone understands the xml. However it does not vibrate.
Anybody has tried this feature?

I also got same result. works for 7921 only.
There most be some setting issues on phone. I hope somebody would have experienced and share with us.

Issue with calling url using custom uri from page loaded in stagewebview

I am using stageWebView for showing webpage in my mobile app but don't know how to move back to my app once it gets loaded. In application descriptor file, I had already registered custom uri scheme (myapp://) for IOS devices and from the loaded page inside stageWebView, I was trying to call following URL myapp://webcam. But nothing had happened. It neither called LOCATION_CHANGE event of StageWebView not called INVOKE_EVENT of nativeapplication.
How can I fix this issue?

yea it gets launched correctly from safari. But my problem is with the link(which is using custom uri scheme e.g myapp://backtoapp) in the loaded page inside StageWebView. It is not allowing app to moveback to app from StageWebView. Moreover these two event listeners INVOKE_EVENT(native application) and LOCATION_CHANGE(stagewebview) are not responding. Dont know what should I do in order to move back to app area(mainView.mxml) from StageWebView(native browser).

Using Absolute URI

Hello all,
Does anyone know how to get HttpURLConnection to use an absolute URL? Right now the Request URI being sent out id GET /index.html HTTP/1.1 while it should be GET Host/index.htm HTTP/1.1.

Interesting, when you send an absolute URI the Host message header is ignored.

Error in using taglib uri in jsp

When i write the following code in my jsp to use the tags, i got the error -
JSP Parsing Error:The absolute uri: http://java.sun.com/jsf/html cannot be resolved in either web.xml or the jar files deployed with this application
And when i used the tld (html_basic.tld & jsf_core.tld), it gave me the error

Adding a link to another page in View Mode using Destination URI

Hi All,
I have the Search items page in iProcurement, and the Supplier Name is a text field in the search results region. Now I want to display the Supplier Name as a link, clicking on which the user should be taken to the corresponding Supplier details page in View Mode.
Is this something that can be done through personalisation, as in without extending the controller etc. I tried by giving the url of the supplier page in the Destination URI of Supplier Name, and it navigates to the supplier page, but how do I implement the functionality of querying the details of the Supplier in context. That is, what is the url that needs to be used, and what are the parameters that need to be passed etc? What is the approach to implement such a functionality. I have done OAF development, but havent done any personalisation.

I have a custom inventory report where I have a header region with the From Date and To Date column. The user enters these two dates and the data is displayed in the Table region between these two dates. Then in the item column I have a URL link which takes us to the Detail page. I need to pass the item number and the From Date and To Date in that link so the where clause can be set for the detail query. The attribute value for the item passes fine but I do not know how to pass the value for the dates. My URL looks like as below. I have tried different ways as mentioned in metalink or google search but no luck. Tried to capture the value also and it shows as the value as ‘$FromDate’.

Using relative-URI in creating the REST based proxy service

I am facing an issue when i am trying to create REST based proxy. i am looking at the urls given in the forum post Using Business Service that supports XML over HTTP in OSB
I have created a conditional branch with xpath expression like *./ctx:transport/ctx:request/http:relative-URI/text()*
and i am copying this value to $inbound as showin in the blog http://blogs.oracle.com/jeffdavies/2009/06/restful_services_with_oracle_s_1.html. But when i typed the uri in browser its saying xml parser error unable to find <.
Not sure of the reason. If i modify my proxy to use http-method as shown in the blog its working fine and that too only when i copied ./ctx:transport/ctx:request/http:http-metho/text() to $inbound. But when i copied the same to another variable like branchcond, i am getting same parsing error. And Is it that the variable has to be always $inbound? So what should be the variable name for using relativeURI
And my uri is going to be like the following, thats why i am planning to create the conditonal branch on relative-uri.

When i created the Conditonal branch, its asking for two mandatory properties. One is 'selected path' and the other is 'variable'. My scenario i am trying to base my conditional branch based on relative uri, so i have given './ctx:transport/ctx:request/http:relative-URI/text()' for 'selected path' variable and giving the value 'inbound' for 'variable' property of conditional branch.
i was trying to do this in similar fashion as given in the blog http://blogs.oracle.com/jeffdavies/2009/06/restful_services_with_oracle_s_1.html, only thing is that i am using http:relative-URI rather http:http-method as shown in the blog.
I am geting the following error in exact:
XML Parsing Error: no element found

Please let me know if i am missing something or doing wrong with inbound variable.

the uri attribute is pointing to a web folder. why we use this if we install JSTL jar files in our web application directry to use it?
what if we dont have internet connection, will it throw an error because in that case it wont be able to point to given uri?
second question is------
if we achieve functionalities using JSTL tags only then why we use xml tags in JSTL?

Think logically. I must however confess that it has been a poor choice to let them start with "http://". This introduces unnecessary confusion among starters. Using SIP URI address as phone number (possible?)

It appears the SPA525G2 supports direct SIP URI, however as this phone is part of the UC320w system, is there a way of storing and dialing the SIP URI "number" for someone?
Second to this is the UC320w able to receive a call like this from another phone server using the SIP URI as a call method (I know SNOM does it, also sure 3CX does as the SPA9xx series think will also do as well as the SPA525G2 phones)?
I would like to give this out as well as a "BELL" traditional phone number, i assume i wont need a VoIP provider for this as it would be direct method of contact.

How can i measure breakage of a metal bar in a rotating pipe using vibration

I need some way of measuring either acoustics or vibration of a 3m long metal bar inside a rotating tube of similar length. The tube rotates on 2 bearings at about 30rpm. When the bar breaks it siezes the whole system. I would like to find out that the bar has broken so i can stop the machine before seizure.

The way the question is phrased requires to detect the fact that the bar is broken. This should be fairly easy to monitor the power going into the shaft. This will rise after the bar has broken.
However, avoiding this breakage is a very interesting question. Presumably a high value very rare event needs to be predicted. If it happened every week there would be ways round it already.
There are (at least) three approaches to this problem.
Record and analyze vibration and compare it with other periods of similar power and speed to see if there are new frequencies that were not there previously.
Listen for the sharp tones of breakage. This may be very difficult to calibrate for.

roblem is not trivial as there are changes occurring due to wear, temperature, load and so on which will appear in the vibration patterns. Viewing the trend data over several months may be needed to detect any impending failure. And even then if it looks bad you will probably change out the part so you will never really know if it was just going to fail.

Importing a jar is by adding it as an external resource and then you can use it in the catalogue.

Namespace URIs Using Files

All,
Is it possible to reference a namespace to a file on your hard disk? All the examples I have seen use http addresses. I have tried the file URI but receive the message given below.

A namespace doesn't "reference" anything. It's just a name. For some unfortunate reason, people seem to use HTTP URI's as namespaces, although there does not need to be any physical document at that URI.
So in answer to your question: you can use any series of characters you like as your namespace URI. The only rule is that it must be a URI as defined by RFC 2396, so you could use a file: URI if you liked. It just needs to be different from any other namespace URI that has ever been used by somebody else, or will ever be used by somebody else. I suppose that was the idea behind using HTTP addresses.

Questions on using a SOAP web service's data in a Crystal Reports report

I'm attempting to create a report using CR 2008, accessing data from a SOAP web service. I've run into a few problems, and need some advice.
1) CR doesn't seem to support WSDL files that use relative URI imports (for example, I have a relatively complicated WSDL file that imports other WSDL files and schemas using relative URI locations). To solve this problem, I have downloaded all of the files to my local hard drive, and changed the "location" attributes to point to local files. Is there any other solution to this problem?
2) CR doesn't seem to support circular references within schema files. To solve this problem, I have removed circular references from my local schema files. Of course, my actual web service will still potentially return data structures with these circular dependencies. Is there any other solution to this problem?
3) CR doesn't seem to support request documents that allow for arrays of elements. For example, my schema allows the user to specify an array of Instruments that should be returned by the web service. In the meantime, I have changed the schema to only specify single instances of the Instrument element in the request. Is there any other solution to this problem?
4) CR doesn't seem to support empty values for optional attributes that are specified in the schema. So, when the "Enter Values" parameter form appears, I am required to enter values for these attributes, even though they are listed as optional in the schema. To avoid this problem, I have commented out the optional attribute values in the schema. Is there any other solution to this problem?
5) When the schema specifies that a value is based on a restricted simple (string) type, the CR parameter form shows a drop list with ellipses (...), but the drop list does not contain the enumerated types specified in my schema. Instead, I must manually enter a value. Do you know of any reason why the drop list is not populated?
6) The SOAP response document from my web service is relatively complicated. So, in the "Data" page of the Standard Report Creation Wizard, each and every XML element level of the response document listed in the schema is shown as a separate entry. If I choose just the top level element ("fetchInstrumentSetResponse"), then very little data is shown on the next page of the wizard (only the ID attribute). But, if I select each and every element type from the response document, CR prompts me for the request document parameters for each row I have selected (I see the same form 30+ times), even though there really should only be a single SOAP request to the web service to return this response document. It seems to be treating each of these elements as a separate "database table", with a different query string for each. Am I using this feature incorrectly?
If you can point me to somewhere in the documentation that handles this in more detail, that would be great (all I could find were the step-by-step instructions on how to connect to a web service as a data source).

Using setForwardURL, is there any way to open the page in a new window?

I am using a submitButton which has NO Target Frame property.
I am programmtically gathering parameters and forwarding to the next page using setForwardURL.
This seems like it should be simple but combing through the threads on this, I am rather confused. Am I not able to use a submitButton and still accomplish this somehow?

But I don't know how to pass my parameters that way. Currently I am passing 2 formvalues, 1 value picked up from a field (MessageTextInput), and one txnvalue picked up from the pageContext.
How can I pass these types of params using Destination URI? I can only find examples of passing params based on view object attributes using syntax like order={@OrderNum}
