You should not use the ConfigFree for the Wlan configuration but either the own Vista configuration options or the WLan configuration tool like Intel ProSet Utility or Atheros Clint Utility. It depends on the WLan card what utility can be used.
Intel card -> Intel ProSet Utility; Atheros WLan card -> Atheros Clint Utility
I assume the message +this connection is controlled by other software+ appears because one of the options mentioned above controls the WLan.

I'm trying to connect to internet using my Nokia N95 as a modem and connecting my Macbook Pro and Nokia using bluetooth connection. Mac says me "Can not connet to PPP server..."
When i connect using usb cable connection between Nokia and Mac - everything is OK.
Where is the problem?

Setup Email Using WLAN Connection - E72

Hi.
Did anyone manage to setup a Gmail or Windows Live Email using WLAN connection?
1 - My internet connection has only the WLan connection. I removed my carrier internet connection.
2 - Using the E-mail option at the menu, I type my gmail user, my password, and then nothing happens.
3 - I tried doing this procedure without the SIM, using Offline mode. And again, nothing happens...
Does Nokia want me to use my Carrier Connection just setup an email account using their interface and software?

Yes for initial setup must use GPRS/3G from your provider. After the inital setup, it may or may not work with WiFi depending on your location.

i didn't read a lot of your 2nd paragraph, but it seems like the password is the issue, right?
do a true clean install
reboot your machine and hold down command+option+r, you should see a spinning globe - if you don't see the globe or anything that reads internet recovery, shut down and try again
at menu, chose disk utility and once there, find your HD on the left side, select the physical name and erase it as mac journaled
exit disk utlity
at menu, choose install OSX
this time, when it asks for a password just hit continue, it will let you complete without a password
you should be able to get into your laptop, now figure out what password you'll be able to use with your kb issue

Bad news is you may not get Nokia Music on this phone in India if you bought it from Singapore. Nokia Music is not available in all countries and is linked with the IMEI of the device thereby also to the Phone's variant...so even if it gets activated, you will not get any Local Music.

Could not connect with nokia pc suite

I have one nokia 2690 and in its connectivity option is given nokia pc suite. I installed nokia pc suite 7.1 on pc. But when i tried to connect my phone with usb cable a message from the bottom right corner of the taskbar of pc pops up and says "usb device not recognised" and also "click this balloon to fix this problem". When I clicked on the balloon it opened a window in the first tab of which my usb posts were listed- one was showing HID COMPLIANT MOUSE and the other in which i had connected the phone was showing UNKNOWN DEVICE. The other tab was of DRIVER and it shows No drivers are installed for this device. But I know that windows and nokia pc suite automatically install required drivers. I disconnected cable from my phone and also switched the usb ports but again the same message appeared. I also uninstalled each and everything that nokia pc suite installed on my pc and also the nokia pc suite itself and again reinstalled pc suite but of no help.What would you suggest- is my cable not compatible with my phone(i borrowed it from my friend but it connect to my phone perfectly) or the cable is damaged or nokia pc suite version 7.1 not compatible with nokia 2690 or anything else? Unable to use Internet Connect with my new wireless device

I just received a new wireless device for my macbook pro. Normally I sign on with Internet Connect, but after setting up the new card, I can only connect using Verizon Manager, which usually doesn't give me good connection, I don't know why.
I called the Verizon people, they mostly are clueless as to how I was able to sign on using both Internet Connect and Verizon Manager before with my old card. I remember there's a way of setting up manually if you want to use Internet Connect. Problem is, when I went to Systems Preferences and clicked on Network, a pop up prompt saying "your network setting have been changed by another application" keeps popping up even as I keep closing it. ***?!!! How can I get rid of it so I can change network setting manually?
I just want the option of connecting with Internet Connect with my new wireless device. BTW, when I try connecting with it using my old setting National access/ Broadband access , I get a message saying "the selected communication device does not exist".

Using gigabit connections with 350N

I have been experiencing some problems with my 350N recently. I've upgraded to the latest version when it was released(1.03.2) and it's been ok.
Recently I've had a problem getting onto the internet. I've isolated the problem to be the router when I bypassed router to the PC directly. I can get IP address but I cannot get onto the internet. The wireless clients show the same problem.
Only thing that has changed is this. I've put one PC on the network at gig speeds. Are there a certain port(s) that I can use? It works with the gig for a while and then stops. I suspect this is the problem but I haven't done extensive troubleshooting. It's very frustrating!!!
Any pointers would be appreciated!!!

i have same problem as steinhouse10874. after I download lastest ver firmware and installed it. My pc cannot obtain ip from router and occur limitation connective. I havn't using wireless connect to router so limitation connective occur is let me feel strange. I reset router, then I can obtain ip form reuter and can connet to internet. But some strange things occur, I just open port 80 from router, but I discover FTP port 21 have been opened too. I check router setting , I havn't open FTP port 21. FTP server just for my VPN only, but now it stand at internet too. after it , i check other port pop3 or smtp3 for SSL , it is automatic opened to. I havn't opened it both in router. I have 3 pcs at my home , now every pcs like DMZ standing in internet. pls let me know anyone have those case, and have any slove solution. linksys it the biggest and famous in the world, pls check it and solve as soon as possible , thanks much!
