UWL Multiselect Delete Subscriptions - massdelete

Hello,
I have a problem with deleting Subscriptions in our UWL. In our current installed test version (SAP Netweaver 2004s SP9) it looks no longer possible to select and delete all entries of one item type (for example: subscriptions) together. So the user must delete each of the messages individually. (There are Users with over 3000 entries). With our old Version of the Portal (EP6) it was possible to do a Multiselect and delete all entries of one item type together. I tried to modify the standard XML-Files, but I wasnt successful. I (and my users) would be glad about every hint.

I'm facing the same issue. The customer I'm working with, wants a new view to approve massively a group of documents. The view works perfectly and all the approval is correctly done.
The problem we're facing is that this process involves a lot of time because they must check the boxes one by one and then press the button of Approve or Reject.
What we want is to select all the lines and press approve, is there a way to make this in an effective and standard way???

Same as above except I can complete and further detail the problem.
1) when using ical event subscriptions, you are downloading an URL which goes to implement ical.
2) Of course when I am going to ical calendar list, I right click on the mouse and I erase the calendar subscription. No problem about that !
3) Most of us are intuitively trying to solve and fix the problem we can have. Accordingly my hesitations made that I have subscribed several times the same ical event. (7 times....)
4) Why 7 times ? because I was doing what you have recommended above, I mean erasing the Ical event subscribed and then re subscribing it...
5) each time you re trying to make it appeating again into ical because you want that subsribed event, it is occuring on ical the exact numer of time you have subscribed the event previously.
6) In my case, 7 times .... and if I am continuing like this it will never end...
SO THE QUESTION IS : How to erase the PREVIOUS URL event subscription ??? because it is stored somewhere in the system ... and finally have only a UNIQUE URL subscription.

Manage/Delete Subscriptions

I want to delete any subscriptions that I accidentally joined. Instruction says to go to 'My Subscription' and you'll be able to manage/delete subscriptions. I selected 'My Subscription' but I do not see any forums that I subscribed. Can anybody point me to the right direction on how to this? I've getting 100's of emails that my mailbox might not be able to handle. Thank you!

Our problem is the same as per the below forum:
Subscription notification email - deleted clicking on link - Urgent
We are having the same problem and I am not seeing the fix. I am currently at EP 6.0.13 and according to the post above, it was said to be fixed in SP12.
Can someone verify that the fix was applied in SP12 (and still exists in SP13)? Our link still/only deletes the subscription which is the command clearly shown in the URL.
I would rather a simple fix/workaround than to have to apply a Patch... but a solution is what I need and I don't mind how to get there...
We checked out SUBSCRIPTIONADMIN (XML and XSL) and are weary to change anything without better knowledge.

Hi Patricio,
I have found that the mistake was mine; the SAPInst order of SAPCAR represented whether or not the EP or the KM platform was updated. I can confirm that the fix was actualy introduced in SPS13 as my KM system was still at SP9 when the problem happened. When I looked at the version_id.txt for KM - it clicked to me that the KM upgrade to SPS13 was not done. When I (correctly) applied the patch, it began to work again.
Also, following the REAL KM patch the ToolArea search and a few other anomolies self-corrected.
I would suggest checking the KLM version from the ID file.

UWL items deletion

We have an UWL connected to a SAP Workflow backend. One user has left the company, and deleted from the Portal and SAP system. However, still the workflow engine tries to send notifcations for that particular user.
How could we avoid this?

Deletion of podcasts without deleting subscriptions ??

I just installed a new version of itunes and am unable to list podcasts without the subscriptions ie I can't delete all my podcasts after transferring to my ipod without deleting the subscriptions.
How do I list podcasts independently of subscriptions?

Good idea, but I looked and podcasts were already checked. I unchecked everything else, but the podcast still only appear with the subscriptions.
Before there was a "Library" function showing everything at once (and this would be great now as I'd be able to look at it by date of download). Then you could check genre = 'podcasts' and see only the podcasts (not the subscriptions) but still within the "library" function. [There was a separate category 'podcasts' showing the subscriptions to use for updating.]
It's that general "library" function showing all or a subcategory that they removed.
I've managed to get around this by deleting stuff in the folder in windows, but it all still shows up in itunes, and it's a klunky 'fix'.

Mass delete all report subscriptions in SharePoint integration mode

Hi - what is the best way to delete all of subscriptions on 100's of reports not the shared schedules in a SharePoint library and folders. I know you can go into Reportserver database and delete from reportsschedule, subscriptons
and schedule tables. But is this would be the correct way?

According to your description, you want to delete your subscriptions in SharePoint integration mode. Right?
In Reporting Services, if you we want to delete subscription in SharePoint integration mode, we can just follow the steps below
Browse to a SharePoint library that contains your report.
Click the down arrow next to the report and then click Manage Subscriptions.
Click the checkbox next to the subscription, and click Delete.
However, it has reported an issue about after deleting subscription in SharePoint Library, subscriptions still exist in report server database. See:
Subscription not Deleted
when in SSRS SharePoint integration mode. So the best way is deleting subscription in database.

Hi All,
For our implementation, we are brining notifications from SAP Business Workplace to Notification tab in UWL.
Now, we would like to provide delete button/link in each line in last column in UWL, using which user can delete the notifications wthout reading.
The asme kind of delete button is required for Task tab in UWL to delete any task.
How this can be achieved?

Well, it seems there's a way to add a column with an action. Please take a look at the "WorkItemsApprovalView" View in the standard UWL configuration file (uwl.standard.xml) :

This will create 3 columns with 3 actions (open, reject, approve).
You just have to change the actionRef and type and the users will be able to delete work items quickly.

HT4098 This is crap -- if you delete the app the subscription should be cancelled!!!

They make it incredicbly hard to find how to delete subscriptions --- they send you and invoice, tells you to click here if you have a problem with it -- then you sepnd an hour look for how to cpmplain and cancelthe subscription !!
Then they tell you it is on the iOS device -- I have FIVE of them -- 2 of them 5 hours away from me -- I need to be able to cancel on the iTunes store NOT on just the device !!!

UWL workitems not deleted

Hi,
not dealt with UWL workitems before.
Client has a PR WF in the system and workitems go to UWL for Approvals.
Instead of releasing the PR from UWL, the user has released it from ME54N.
So now, though the PR is released, it still shows workitems in UWL.
My question is are there any settings (in SAP, Portal) which could handle this, so that whenever user releases a PR thru ME54N, the workitem in UWL gets deleted.
Other question, now since the workitems (for which PR was released from ME54N) are there in UWL, what happens if the user again db-clicks the workitem, will it throw an error?
Last question, what can I do to remove those workitems for which PR was released from ME54N. How can I delete them.

As Workitem behaviour is dependent on Status, set the Workitem status to complete using any one of the following FM
   SAP_WAPI_SET_WORKITEM_COMPLETD
   SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE
   SWU_COMPLETE_R3F_WORKITEM
I dont know the exact one... so kindly check the Documentation of them and choose the best.
As far as i know second one would set the status to complete

How to delete ad hoc workflow tasks in UWL centrally?

While we were testing UWL function of Enterprise Portal in Netweaver 7.0, number of users created ad hoc workflow tasks in UWL. We have recently decided to use Universal Worklist for Inbox-based workflow only (WebFlowConnector) and not to use it for ad hoc workflow (AdHocWorkflowConnector).
Instead of asking all users to go in to UWL and delete all their ad hoc workflow tasks, I (as a System Administrator) like to delete all ad hoc workflow tasks myself, centrally. Is this possible? Does anyone know how to delete all ad hoc workflow tasks centrally?

Hi Joon,
I think it will be really difficult to achieve what you want as each task is related to a particular user.
I am not sure @ a Sysadmin can accessing other users' tasks.
You can try looking for some way by using UWL apis.
I think you can get all your user's adhoc tasks in an ItemCollection object by using append method of Itemcollection Interface and then see that deleting this object may achieve give u desired reults.
Also try having a look at the IUWLItemManager interface.
You will find these interfaces in com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl
