Validate two sums and display total

I have a form which sums numeric data (amounts) in both columns and rows. I need to verify that the sum of the row of totals and the sum of the column of weekly totals are identical and dsiplay the total in a single grand total field. Because the form was imported as a fixed field form Tables and Subforms are not available. I've set up individual fields for AllTotals and the WeeksTotal elsewhere on the form that I can make invisible thinking I could use an if expression but I can't figure out how to display the sum in the GrandTotal field. Any suggestions?

Can you put a new Text Field on top of the area where the GrandTotal would appear? Kinda like putting a transparent film over the top of a picture and writing on that? (Or a new layer on top of an existing picture.)
That's how we handle text field "hints" on our forms. There's a Text Field, and on top of that I put a Text Box. When the user enters that field, I make the box hidden.
Would something like that work?

The missing thing. You have to keep in mind that what you see is not the same as the camera sees.
So when using IMAQ Substract it gives you the difference of the value of every single pixel!
In order to find the mouse as only difference you have to manage that every other pixel value stays the same, e.g. with a proper lightening.
At the other hand you can combine different filters or alogorithms to get the object, e.g. if the object is darker or brighter then everything else in the image you could use a threshold and then use morphologic operations to get the objects size and position.

I need to wrap the text in columns c2 and c3 and display them under one column.
Is it possible in webtemplate by using java scripting.

IN the Query , you could diplay Characteristics as a Hierarchy. Just above the Columns Box in Bex, do a write click.

however, here the data view is only limited to 30 rows and my resultant list is huge. I would like to know if there is a possibility to view the resultant list in a data sheet view ?

I don't believe you can use the OOTB Datasheet view when joining lists. However, you should be able to increase your limit from 30 items to as many as you need (that doesn't trip the threshold set in Central Admin).

How to validate VO result and display error message?

Hi,
I have created 2 pages:
Page 1: User to enter employee number and click 'Go' button to search (redirect to Page 2)
Page 2: To display employee details
In situation where employee is suspended, employee detail will be display as blank in Page 2.
At the same time, we would like to display error message which inform user to refer to HR Department for this scenario.
Need guidance on how to perform the validation and display error message.

Hi Shiau,
In this case instead of redirecting to next page, throw an exception on the same page.
If you want redirect it to next page then while redirecting it to next page pass some info that can indicate that employee is suspended, get this value in Process request if it has value then throw exception else query details.

Get user count from two tables and display in 1 row

I have 2 tables.....
Table1 Table2
user date user date
With 1 query, I want to display the user, the count of the number of times a user appears in Table1.user as count1 and the count of the number of times that same user appears in Table2.user as count2 between a specific time period. I have looked and tried things including joins, unions, nested loops but can't get anything to work. The result would appear like this:
USER COUNT1 COUNT2
john 100 2
doe 1000 200

I think the easiest way to do this is to do a GROUP BY query on each table separately, and then combine the results, using FULL OUTER JOIN or UNION.

As Solomon pointed out, I forgot the GROUP BY clauses in the sub-query.
Without the tables, I can't test it.

IMac Late 2013 - video card and display totally glitches

HI.
Today, something strange is happened.
Looks like the video or display in my iMac Late 2013 is totally broken. I don't know what to do now.
Teh screen is always blinking, glitch and unresponsive. Impossible to use the mouse. I can see partially only 10% of the screen with a distortion from the top of the screen..... It's annoying. imac is almost new, I've bought it and started use it from the January 2014.
The problem is - that in my country (Belarus) there are no any official apple service...
as I understood - need to replace gpu, but gpu is an Intel Iris Pro. And I guess replacement will touch all the board.
such a problem... I hope there is a way to fix somehow?
A Little bit details:
iMac was not overheated. there was not any damages or something else. iMac is standing on the table and used maybe for a 5-8 hours in week. Without any hard load (graphic load). So this is double strange for me. Looks like factory defect or something like this.

I've tried to unplug everything (before was plugged only a4tech mouse and HP printer), and reboot the system. Nothing helps . i've performed reboot about 10 times. Also I've tried to reset SMC (unplug power cord for 15 sec, then plug 5 sec after, cmd opt p r) so sad. I can't use apple service in my country because of lack of service at all, only unofficial... Anyway thanks for replies... I will try to find the way to transport iMac to the nearest country with an apple service.... So sad, it was never happened with me, first critical issue with an apple device.

Sum and display messagebox

Okay, so I need to sum the values of a particular cell in a table, display that value, then display a message if they sum to more than 100. I tried to use javascript, but I couldn't figure out how to make a sum function. With FormCalc the sum function is built-in and works perfectly, but I can't get the message box to work. Here's what I have so far (in the calculate event):

Help !! ios 6,iphone,Two ipods & and ipad totally confused !!

I have an iphone 4 and an ipad, both my boys have an ipod and everything runs under my apple account.
My first problem is that neither of the children can face time or message. Have set them both up with gmail accounts but neither ipod will accept the associated passwords despite being re set to ensure they are correct.
They cant receive messages from me, which is what i wanted for them, do i need to give them each an apple id? and if so how do i regulate their app store purchases?
and when they are given an app store voucher, whos id does it go on?
My second problem is that since upgrading to ios6 one of the boys is getting all my text messages showing up on his ipod and the other still cant open his messages.
I have messed around with the settings on both ipods but to no avial and I am now totally confused.
All I want is for someone to explain how the boys can face time/message, how my messages stop from appearing on their ipods and as for my ipad well i give up!!

You have to set them each up with their own Apple ID, then log out from your Apple ID on their devices and log in with theirs. Make sure that Facetime and Messages are set to receive calls/messages on their Apple IDs, not yours.

I subtract two dates and have total seconds. How to convert seconds to.....

i guess you can mod the number with 360 first and get the number of days, then get the remainder and mode by 60 get the hour and so forth, maybe a better way is using recursive function to return you a final result. Hopefully this will help, don't complain on me if I am misleading you since this is my first time try to help.

In my addon application I have Matrix with 10 columns (2 columns with column type Edit Text, 8 columns with column type checkbox) now In 8 columns with type checkbox I want to display Footer as form Id = 60207(Menu service/service Report/Response Time by assignee Report). How To do it?
please give me the solution to display Footer(Total) of Matrix when the column have column type is checkbox.

Calculating and Displaying the Total for a field

Hi all,
I have a template that must have a field's total at the end of each page. I use <?add-page-total: InvAmt;’ ACCOUNTEDDR’?> for calculating the sum and<?show-page-total:InvAmt; 'C9G990D00';'(C9G990D00)'?> for showing the total. Its coming up properly.
But on the last page i need the total of all the pages. I tried putting up <xdofo:inline-total display-condition="everytime" name=" InvAmt "> <xdofo:show-carry-forward name="InvAmt " format="99G999G999D00"/> in the footer but its printing the whole code as such. I tried to do a sum <?sum (ACCOUNTEDDR)?> after the for-each, but its returning a NaN. I couldnt find a solution for this.
Please help.

The NaN display that you get is probably due to some nulls. Filter out the nulls: <?sum(ACCOUNTEDDR[.!=''])?>

Hi, I tried another logic. I took value from Standard button, in which B2B application display total items and amount and I hide this field, to another text element.
Now I Am breaking that value in words and stored them in array and then trying to display that array with particular number which contains total item and amount through Java Script on Focus.
But problem here is, It is not getting updated automatically I have to click on new text files to trigger Onfocus event. How I can achieve effect like as soon as Standard button changes it's value which is now hidden filed my new text box should update automatically.

Help with Group By and Two Sums

I have a table of transactions, debits and credits. The amount of the transaction is stored as a positive number. A separate field tells if it is a debit or credit. Each transaction contains a foreign key to a facilitie record.
I need to write a query that totals all debits and totals all credits for each facility.
This is what I have so far;
select Facilities.FID,
          (SELECT SUM(Transactions.Amount)
          FROM Transactions
          WHERE TType = 'Debit') AS Withdrawals,
          (SELECT SUM(Transactions.Amount)
          FROM Transactions
          WHERE TType = 'Credit') AS Deposits
     FROM Facilities, Transactions
     WHERE Facilities.FID = Transactions.FID
     GROUP BY Facilities.FID
     ORDER BY Facilities.FID;
The problem is the nested selects do not limit the transaction records to the facilities FID. How can I get the group by to work inside the two sum functions?

The syntax above lists all the records in the Facilities table. As soon as I add a Where clause, it only lists the records of some records in Facilities. I added an outer join, but I still only get one record out of the Facilities table. I should be getting all the records out of facilities. This is what I have so far;
