Validation for Remote Key

Hi All,
Is it possible to create a validation for material that will raise an error if the material is found without a remote key?
Thanks in advance.

HI Ervin,
My pleasure
The example i sent had both the ways of using Validations,and pg 7 had the Datamanager view.
Going by the information you provided it seems your no generation and remote key both are being populated by import.
If you are not getting the Remote key in validation expression,then you can clone the remote key source on the source side and import the same value on a Dummy field, and make this field as Not Null.This should serve the purpose.
Thanks,
Ravi

  • How shall we do validation for Unique Key and Multiple Primary Key?

    Hi,
    I have table created From EO in which one column is checked as Unique.
    How to do validation for column checked as Unique.
    I know how to do validation for column checked as primary key.
    Below is sample code for primary key validation
    if (getRvSize() != null)
    throw new OAAttrValException(OAException.TYP_ENTITY_OBJECT,
    getEntityDef().getFullName(), // EO name
    getPrimaryKey(), // EO PK
    "RvSize", // Attribute Name
    value, // Attribute value
    "AK", // Message product short name
    "FWK_TBX_T_EMP_ID_NO_UPDATE"); // Message name
    if (value != null)
    OADBTransaction transaction = getOADBTransaction();
    Object[] rvKey = {value};
    EntityDefImpl rvDefinition = xxczVAGCSRVSizingEOImpl.getDefinitionObject();
    xxczVAGCSRVSizingEOImpl rv =
    (xxczVAGCSRVSizingEOImpl)rvDefinition.findByPrimaryKey(transaction, new Key(rvKey));
    if (rv != null)
    throw new OAAttrValException(OAException.TYP_ENTITY_OBJECT,
    getEntityDef().getFullName(), // EO name
    getPrimaryKey(), // EO PK
    "RvSize", // Attribute Name
    value, // Attribute value
    "AK", // Message product short name
    "FWK_TBX_T_EMP_ID_UNIQUE"); // Message name
    What changes need to be done for above code in order to do the validation for Unique Key.
    I have one more Question
    How shall we do the Validation for Multiple Primary Key in a table?
    - Mithun

    1. If you just validate on one attribute like your unique key, then put your logic in the set<Your AttributeName) method
    2. If you want to do the cross validation ( like validating multiple attributes) then put your logic in the validateEntrity Method
    How to do that?
    1. Create a Validation View object.
    2. Associate your VVO to the VAM
    3. Create entity expert.
    4. Have method in entity expert for your validation (you would be calling AM and then VO execute the query and do the validation.
    5. You would be calling the Entity experty method from your EO either setMethods or validateEntity.
    I have given just the high level points.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • How to define validity for RA key

    Hi
    I want to define validity for RA key. This is available in OKG3 under Edit tab.  However, the functionality of "Define Validity" is inactive.
    How can we activate the same?
    Regards,

    Hi,
    I think Michael is asking how you would define the Filter in the Coherence Console not in Java code.
    In the Console you prefix the method name for the filter with an exclamation mark.
    In your example you see this
    Map (jk):  filter f Equals getUserId 'Master'...when you press enter you see the toString of the Filter...
    EqualsFilter(.getUserId(), Master)Using an exclamation mark you get a Key Filter like this
    Map (jk): filter f Equals !getUserId 'Master'...when you press enter you see the toString of the Filter...
    EqualsFilter(KeyExtractor(extractor=.getUserId()), Master)...which you can see has a KeyExtractor.

  • Search for [Remote Key] and [Remote System] in Data Manager

    Hello all
    I would like to be able to search on the remote key and the remote system in the MDM Data Manager is that not possible? I thought I remembered seeing that possibility under the Free-Form Search but now I can't find it.
    I have, however, found this in the Data Manager reference guide:
    REMOTE SYSTEM AND REMOTE KEY FIELDS
    MDM uses the remote systems defined in the Remote Systems table
    within the MDM Console to store and maintain key mapping information
    for each record or text attribute. It does this using a virtual “key
    mapping” field that you never see in the MDM Client.
    This virtual key mapping field is very much like a qualified lookup field
    into a virtual key mapping qualified lookup table.
    Key Mapping information stored in virtual lookup field
    The Remote System and Remote Key fields are normally not visible;
    however, they do appear in several places in the MDM Client.
    Specifically, both fields: (1) appear in the File > Export dialogs in Record
    mode for exporting value pairs; (2) are recognized by the File > Import
    dialog in Record mode for importing value pairs; and (3) appear in the
    Edit Key Mappings dialogs in both Record mode and Taxonomy mode,
    for viewing and editing value pairs.
    Is there any way to search on the value in the remote key from the Data Manager?

    Not sure search i think not possible.
    But you can see keys as mentioned:
    Enable Key mapping in Console.
    MDM Client maens MDM Data Manager.
    They do appear in several places in the MDM Client or Data Manager. Three different methods to see in DM are given already below:
    Specifically, both fields: (1) appear in the File > Export dialogs in Record mode for exporting value pairs; (2) are recognized by the File > Import dialog in Record mode for importing value pairs; and (3) appear in the Edit Key Mappings dialogs in both Record mode and Taxonomy mode, for viewing and editing value pairs.

  • Remote Key

    Dear Experts,
    I want to know the use of remote key in the import manager. Also wantto know the process how to use the same.
    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Hello Kiran
    For remote key using you should  do that:
    - check your import server is installed and running
    - add more than one remote systems in your repository
    - check thta your main table has setup "key mapping" paramiter to "Yes"
    - for each your remote system inbound port has been created
    - add(or check) field in your repository where you will save your remote key
    - create import map for your source in your import manager
    - add that map to your inbound port
    - check thta your import server is working in automatic mode
    - put source file in ready inbound directory and whait some time
    - if your source file moved from ready directory and you hadn't get import error
    - load data manager and check your data
    - in data manager select record, open submenu, select "edit key mappings" for manage your remote keys

  • Syndicator - Remote Key

    I'm trying to map some Remote Keys at the Syndicator, but i'm having the following problem:
    The key mapping values from source do not transfer any value to destination. My Remote System is the "MDC R/3 & ERP", but I have tried to configure the "Output Remote System" property as "MDC R/3 & ERP" and I have inserted the remote key values in flat tables (lookup).
    What need I to do to get the key mapping values in Syndicator?
    Evandro.

    Hi Evandro,
    The key mapping values from source do not transfer any value to destination. My Remote System is the "MDC R/3 & ERP", but I have tried to configure the "Output Remote System" property as "MDC R/3 & ERP" and I have inserted the remote key values in flat tables (lookup).
    To syndicate out remote Key form Remote system in MDM syndiactor you need to take care of the following:
    - Enable the Key mapping as Yes in MDM Console.
    - While Importing data either for the main table records or the Lookup table records make sure to map the Unique key field from the source side to the <Remote key> in the destination in MDM Import manager.
    - In the syndicator you need to take care of two imp things
    - Firstly while opening the syndicator you need to select the Remote system in the destination properties(File>New)
    - This will make sure that you are sending the key mappings to that remote system.Output remote system property works slightly differnt.
    - You need to make sure that the first property in MDM syndicator under the map property tab(remote system) is having your Remote system name.
    - Then you need to map the the value field(under remote key in the source)  to the destination field for remote key.

  • Outlook 2013 - Password change breaks S/MIME Certs "An error occurred in the underlying security system. Key not valid for us in specified state."

    AD password change comes up, user changes password.
    Tries to send signed or encrypted email with a Comodo S/MIME certificate, and gets the following error:
    ""An error occurred in the underlying security system.  Key not valid for us in specified state."
    I now have two reports of this error - one on Windows 7, and one on Windows 8.0 (remote user).
    The one on Windows 8.0, we tried removing their S/MIME cert from Outlook/Windows and re-adding, this did NOT resolve the issue.
    Plan was originally to have the 8.0 user ship their machine in, and wipe it, since nothing else could fix it and I wasn't finding anyone else with the same issue.  Now that I've got a second user with the same issue, its looking like a bug/issue and
    not a random glitch.

  • Remote Keys for Multiple Systems

    I am working on an SRM project where we have internal catalogs items (from ECC) and external catalog items (from Excel files) going into an MDM Catalog repository.  For both, we use a lookup table for the Supplier number to cross-ref to a supplier name.
    We have a Supplier List message that runs from ECC to MDMCAT to populate this table.  In doing so, it creates a key mapping for the ECC remote system...which gets used for cross-referencing supplier names when catalog items load.
    The issue...we do not have such a Supplier List from the external catalog "remote system", so when external catalog items get loaded there is no supplier number/name cross-ref happening.  I can manually create key mappings for the external remote system, but I want to automate it.
    I am thinking about having our PI middleware make a copy of the ECC Supplier Lists and send them to a new port set up as the external remote system...thinking that this would generated extenal system keys...hopefully without duplicating supplier lookup records.  Before proceeding, I wanted to throw this out to see if there is a better solution.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Keith

    Hi Keith,
    some remarks:
    if you send data from ECC to MDMCAT, the catalog items contain the supplier keys of the ECC system. That's why the import works automatically. If you want to reuse the ECC supplier keys, the first question to answer is: does your external system  use exactly the SAME keys as ECC? Only if this is the case, duplicating the ECC supplier message works for you. Otherwise you'd create keys for your external system that are never sent by the external system.
    If the external system uses the same keys as ECC, the next question is how often do you update the supplier list in MDM? Regularly? Only once? If regularly your option with PI is a good idea. This won't duplicate supplier records as Import Manager (or MDIS) is able to identify already existing suppliers and updates the remote keys only (anyways you should check the related import map!). If it's a one time action only, you can re-open the same file multiple times for different remote systems with Import Manager. Then you wouldn't have to configure an additional connection from PI to MDM.
    Best regards
    Michael

  • Maintaining Remote key in look up tables for Production data

    Hi,
    me
    SEE in DEV and QA to maintain the Remote key for Look up tables.First i have exported those look up table values and again imported with mapping Remote keys (clone the field and map it to Remote key.). By this i have maintained the Remote keys to all look up tables. Now for Production what should i do. Is it the same process extract all records from production into our desktop and then again import it using IM, clone the field and map it to Remote key.
    1. Is this the right process?
    2. What happens if there are huge data present in production how to proceed furthr then?
    Required your suggestion please.
    Thanks,
    Pradeep

    HI Pradeep,
    I dont see any problem with this method if I am getting it right
    You are updating remote keys by reimporting lookup data, and this way you have multiple remote keys for data in lookup table,right?
    This will help you to automap entries in Import process for different Remote systems.
    I did not get your 2nd point?
    Thanks,

  • Remote key for lookup tables

    Hi,
    I need some advice on remote keys for lookup tables.
    We have loaded lookup data from several client system into the MDM repository. Each of the client system can have diffferences in the lookup values. What we need to do is to enable the keymappings so that the syndicator would know which value belongs to which system.
    The tricky part is. We haven't managed to send out the values based on the remote keys. We do <b></b>not<b></b> want to send the lookup tables themselves but the actually main table records. All lookup data should be checked at the point of the syndication and only the used lookup values that orginally came from one system should be send to that particular system. Otherwise they should be tag should be blank.
    Is this the right approach to handle this demand or is there a different way to take care of this? What would be the right settings in the syndicator?
    Help will be rewarded.
    Thank you very much
    best regards
    Nicolas

    Hi Andreas,
    that is correct. Let's take two examples:
    1) regions
    2) Sales Area data (qualified lookup data)
    Both tables are filled and loaded directly from the R/3s. So you would already know which value belongs to which system.
    The problem that I have is that we will not map the remote key from the main table because it will be blank for new created master data (Centralization scenario). Therefore we cannot map the remote key from the attached lookup tables, can we?
    The remote key will only work for lookup tables if the remote key of the actual master data is mapped. Since we don't have the remote key (local customer ID form R/3) in MDM and since we do not create it at the point of the syndication... how would the SAP standard scenario would look like for that?
    This is nothing extraordinary it's just a standard centralization scneario.
    Please advice.
    Thanks alot
    best regards
    Nicolas

  • Search for records by Remote Key or Remote System in Data Manager

    Hi all,
    We have a requirement to search for records by Remote key and/or Remote System at the main table level. Is it possible to do this using the Data Manager? If so, how?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    I crosschecked with MDM 5.5 and Don't think it is possible through Data Manager. How ever using APIs you can search records using remote key/ remote system.

  • ERROR: "key not valid for use in specified state" when updating to Lightroom 5.6 in Win8.1

    While doing a routine update from Lightroom 5.5 to v5.6 in Win 8.1, the installation halted at the start of the installation with the vague error message, "key not valid for use in specified state".  Although v5.5 was working just fine, the install routine deleted the v5.5 application files.  I rolled back to the previous system restore point (set just prior to the install) and recovered the executable files.  However, now the 5.5 files won't open the default catalog, none of the backups, or even create a new catalog.
    As v5.x was purchased as an update to v4.x, I've tried to reinstall the original Lightroom v4.x app from the factory disk.  I get the same error.
    Suggestions?
    Thanks. Dan

    I have a similar problem to Dan. while doing a routine upgrade from Lightroom 5.5 to 5.6 I got the
    : "key not valid for use in specified state"
    error and now Lightroom has completely disappeared. I've tried to uninstall, but there is nothing to uninstall. Going back to try to install the original 5.4 just results in the same error.
    A problem may have been that I closed Lightroom when the upgrade started to download. It then re-opened again when the install was halfway through., I assumed that was an error and closed it. just after that the error first appeared in the installer.
    I still had an older version of lightroom 4 installed. I've uninstalled it, and that didn't make any difference.
    I've also tried removing anything in the registry left over from the old installs and that didn't help either.
    Any suggestions?

  • Reporting Service Integration mode and Key not valid for use in specified state

    I had to uninstall SharePoint Foundation 2013 and reinstall it.
    What I have done:
    I uninstalled SharePoint and after that I removed all databases.
    I reinstalled SharePoint Foundation 2013 and it completed without errors.
    Everything else is working, except SSRS in Sharepoint Integrated Mode.
    If I check Central Administration - Manage services on server, I can found out that SQL Server Reporting Service Service is
    "Started". But if I try to create new service application (SQL Server Reporting Services Service Application), it gives me an error message:
    "Key not valid for use in specified state. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8009000B)"
    I uninstalled SSRS in Sharepoint Integrated Mode and I reinstalled it but problems exists.
    It seems that "Encryption Keys" cause this problem.

    "Unable to locate the Reporting Server Windows service for instance MSSQLSERVER."
    I don't have any reporting server databases, because I removed all

    Any ideas how I can fix this problem?

    Hi,
    From the Reporting Server Configuration Manager you have to restore the encryption key.
    Please try to delete databases(reportserver & reportservertempdb) and delete the reportserver and reports site on IIS. Then you have to start over the configuration again.
    If the issue still exists, Please check ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred.
    For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log locates in
    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS"
