Validation For UDO Screens

Hi All,
I am working on UDO Concepts. I created one UDO With One Document Table and Two Document line tables. It's Working fine. i created Addon and Run On Server machine and client machine it's working fine the main problem is I Stop The addon But My Form is in Open when i enter the values in that open form the values are added in the database without my validations. how to restrict this type of problems.

Hi Naresh,
You cannot block the UDOs for working alone.
You have developed your UDO form or you are using the default one?
If you are using the default one it will be more dificult to block as the menu is automatically created by B1 and the only way to block it is from your addon. If your addon is not working then the UDO form can be open from the Tools -> Default Forms menu.
If you have develop your own form then you need to close your UDO forms before you stop your addon and also remove the menus allowing to open your form. This way the user will not be able to use your UDO form to add/modify your UDOs.
If you cannot assure to close the UDO forms before your addon is stopped then the user can continue using it without your permission.
Another possibility is to develop a C++ implementation dll that will be registered when you define your UDO. This dll will be then run by B1 even if your addon is not running. For more information on the UDO implementation dll just check the SDK help file: Customization Tools -> User Defined Objects -> Extending Business Logic.

   I have using SAP Business One 2005 . PL-39. I Need to Create the Document Draft for UDO Screen. Is it able to Create ???
How to Use the     Save As Draft Menu( File->Save as Draft) for our UDO Screen. ???

You can not save a draft of a UDO document using the standard SBO "Save as Draft"mechanism.
I'f you want to achieve this - you'll have to create "Draft Tables" for your UDO, save it to the "Draft Tables" and reload it using your own search mechanism. It will be a lot of work, but it's the only way you will be able to create draft UDO documents...

Export to Word for UDO's

Hello Everyone
Primary Question:
Is it possible to activate Export-to-WORD for UDO Screens and can we achieve the same functionality as Exporting Invoices and ToDoLetters for our User Screens. Can we design a template and push data into the word document.I want to know if this has been done before and if so how.Can anyone share the code and methodology of pushing line items into a dynamically growing table in Word. I'm sure that this can be achieved easily by Crystal Reports but the client doesn't want CR so i have to achieve this one way or another through MS Word.
Secondary Question:
Does printing through SAP utilise the fast printing of Dot-Matrix printers as printed by dos?

fast printinting is there, you have to change the printer settings and select low pixcels per inch.

Needed selection screen validation for all entries in the range

Hi all,
I'm using the below code for Material validation in selection-screen.
SELECT SINGLE MATNR FROM MARC INTO MARC-MATNR
WHERE MATNR IN S_MATNR.

    MESSAGE e000(su) WITH text-035.     "Invalid Material Number
ENDIF.
This validation is working only for one record in the range.
If I give multiple material numbers in the range having a record which doesn't exist in MARC, its not throwing the error.
Seems like loop should be placed at s_matnr. Is that correct procedure or any pointers on the same would be of great help.

and S_order should be only having the numeric field.

Multiple select options validation at selection screen

I have the requirement to create a selection screen with 3 select options. Two of them are cross-dependent. It is mandatory to fill one of them and it is not allowed to fill both. The third one is optional. I tried the validation at selection-screen on block... and I have a problem that search help buttons for select options react like execution buttons, when I press any of them I am getting one of errors instead of search help.
Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

How can we do the validation for non visible records in table control.

Hi Experts,
I have a table control which displays list of material details. I have a button to upload the material details from excel file to table control directly. I have to validate all the customers which are exist in the table. But my item (Material) table control displays only 5 rows i.e only 5 entries are visible in module pool screen. The validation is done for 5 records only in PAI event, but i need to do validation for rest of the records too (Which are not visible on items table), if validation fails then needs to display error message.
How can we do the validation for non visible records in table control.

When i am Executing PC00_M40_TERM and entered Details then in very next screen it is with error
''Wage Type is not valid for allowance grouping ''
The Issue is showing generic and No specific Wage type shown in error.
ABAP Team also Debuged and could not get the Issue.
Kindly Let me know from your Experience what could be the Issue.

JS Validation for Drop down List is not working in Oracle PL/SQL Package

I am facing an issue with JavaScript validation done in Oracle PL SQL package.
System Requirement:
There is one screen which contains two fields viz. FLD 1 & FLD 2 and one 'Submit' button.
FLD 1 and FLD 2 fields are drop down list boxes.These are mandatory fields.
The screen is developed in Oracle Mod PL SQL package.
The html coding and java scripting are embedded in the respective Oracle PL SQL Package procedure which generates this screen,takes the input values provided by user,does the
field validations and submits the form.
Issue:
The javascript validation for FLD 2 dropdown is working successfully.
When the user leaves this field as blank,the embedded javascript pops up an error message 'Selection of FLD 2 is manadatory before submitting the form!'.
As FLD 1 is also a mandatory field,the javascripting validation should pop up the similar error message 'Selection of FLD 1 is manadatory before submitting the form!'.
But,this first field validation is not at all working.
The system allows to submit the form even if the 'FLD 1' is left blank.
The javascript code sysntax for validation of FLD 1 & FLD 2 drop down list boxes as follows:

1. Your problem is actually related to JavaScript, not SQL and PL/SQL. So, this is the wrong forum to post. The closest to JS is the Application Express forum {forum:id=137}. Clearly state that it is not an Apex issue and that you are looking for JS help.

How to write HTML code in Web Template for selection screen

Hello All,
Is it possible to write a html code in the web template html tag so that the output of the html is displayed in the selection screen, i.e before the execution of query.
I know that we can write html, which will be displayed once the query has been executed, but can it be done for selection screen.
if so, how.
My exact requirement is : to display a 2-3 lines of text in the selection criteria screen - sort of, various options available to user for entering values in the selection screen. I was thinking of putting this text using HTML code in the selection screen.

No, unfortunately nobody replied to this thread. So i assumed it is not possible to modify the selection screen thru html code.
Btw, as my requirement was to provide user with multiple answers on the selection screen. I did the validations on customer exit and popped an errror dialog when applicable.
