Validation pattern for 4 digit number

Hi all,
very simple requirement but I find no solution: Only 4-digit numbers (e.g. 2344 or 2345) should be allowed in a numeric field.
I try to solve this with a validation pattern. My favorite pattern is "num{9999}". But this pattern validates also 1-, 2- or 3-digit numbers positive. Why? And what is the right pattern?
Thanks in advance,
Michael

I'd make it per skript
VALIDATION - JAVA SCRIPT
if (this.rawValue > "999")
true;
} else {
false;
Limit it to 4 digits (like you've done already) and everything should work fine ^^
Edit: Probably you should make the field obligatory too (at least if it should be obligatory).
Hope that helped ^^
Lisa ^^

  • CUCM Dialled Number Analyser for Digit by Digit Analysis?

    Hi,
    I'm wondering if anyone can help.
    I work in a diagnostic team that often has to solve issues with problems on dial plans and customers not being able to call particular numbers. We often use Dialled Number Analyser to help us with this, but this only helps when the number is dialled en bloc. Often, a customer will say they try to dial a number and it will stop at a specific point, indicating there's an overlapping pattern somewhere. This can be very difficult to find. We use route plan report to help us but often the offending pattern will have wild cards in it and therefore merely searching for the number or the first few digits of the number will not help.
    Is there another Cisco tool that will show the matches that Call Manager is making as each digit is dialled? Dialled number analyser does NOT help with this. It can be very time consuming trying to locate a route pattern otherwise (because there may be several partitions to look through and various patterns with wildcards in them).
    Many thanks,
    Neil

    You should be able to pull the CCM SDI traces and see the digit analysis which will show you the pattern matched. You will need to know the calling DN and time of the call to find this.
    Here's an example that I pulled from a CUCM 8.5(1) system. Older versions may be more/less information and the formatting may change slightly. The DialingPartition and DialingPattern lines are the actual route pattern matched in the database. Note that I replaced the real calling DID with 16085550100 here for privacy reasons.

  • I have a new iPhone 5 and receive the following message when texting some people within my contacts.  Message sent using invalid number of digits please resend using 10 digit number or valid short code Msg:2114

    I have a new iPhone 5 and receive the following message when texting some people within my contacts.  Message sent using invalid number of digits please resend using 10 digit number or valid short code Msg:2114. Online I found a discussion that stated i needed to delete contact and re-add. I have done that to no avail. Any ideas?

    I had the same issue with the iPhone 6 and tried everything!  I now understand that at some point I stored a number for a contact without including the area code and sent a text message.  So, to correct the issue, you must literally "erase" all references to the contact, not just the number.  Deleting the contact and entering a new one is not enough because the iPhone stores references to that number in multiple places.  The steps below worked and are very simple:
    1) On the contact screen, delete everything stored for that number.  You can't just edit the contact to fix the problem, so write down or record the info somewhere before you complete this step.  Choose edit and then select DELETE to eliminate the entire contact which means home, work, cell, email address, etc.
    2) Delete the entire string of messages you sent to that number.  That's every single message...
    3) Now delete the entire string of invalid 2114 messages you received after your text(s) failed.
    4) Finaly, remove the contact from FAVORITES if you saved it that way.
    5) To validate that all this worked, simply go to the keypad or contact screen and enter the number associated with the contact to verify successful removal.  I used the keypad and dialed to confirm.  If the contact number still shows up, you need to go back and recheck your steps.  Trust me, I had to do this a few times.
    Several posts suggested that you should  reset and turn off your phone.  After following these steps, it was not necessary for me to reset or turn off my device.
    is there a much faster way to achieve the same results?  Probably, but this was safe for an iPhone novice and may help you avoid inadvertently deleting other contacts or replacing factory settings that you need.

  • IPhone 4S, the last two versions of IOS: I receive an text, reply, get error message instructing me to use valid 10 digit number. Only this person. I've deleted and re-entered her contact info - still cant send txt. What's up?

    Seems I entered question in subject field? Here's the question:
    iPhone 4S, the last two versions of IOS: I receive a text, in iMessage, reply, get error message instructing me to use valid 10 digit number. Only this person. I've deleted and re-entered her contact info - still cant send txt. What's up? ATT says they've never seen this. I have previously texted successfully with this person and she's changed nothing on her end.

    The fix for this problem is easy and is set out here: http://edctips.blogspot.com/2014/09/fixing-iphone-texting-problem.html

  • How define a pattern for having a number formatted

    Hello,
    anybody knows how to define a pattern for having an input number formatted in this way:
    150.000.000,88
    I've tried to use the following pattern( pattern="#.#00,00") ...but - of course - It does not work.....
    I'm using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.7
    <af:inputText value="#{pageFlowScope.contractBean.localTot}"
                          label="#{contractBundle.BASE_TOTALE}"
                          columns="12"
                          maximumLength="#{bindings.baseTot.hints.precision}"
                          id="it2"
                          valueChangeListener="#{pageFlowScope.contractBean.baseTotChangeList}"
                          autoSubmit="true"
                          required="true">
                    <f:validator binding="#{bindings.baseTot.validator}"/>
                <af:convertNumber type="number" minFractionDigits="2" maxFractionDigits="2" pattern="#.#00,00"/>
              </af:inputText>

    Guessing you tried this, but have you tried:
         <af:convertNumber locale="de"  ...
    or
         <af:convertNumber locale="#{requestContext.formattingLocale} ...
    Hope this helps.

  • CVP Opsconsole: Patterns for RNA timeout on outbound SIP calls - Dialed Number (DN) text box does not take any input

    Hi there,
    I'm having problems modifying the 'Dialed Number (DN)' text box under 'Advanced Configuration->Patterns for RNA timeout on outbound SIP calls' of the SIP tab in the Cisco Unified Customer Voice Portal 8.5(1) opsconsole. In a nut shell, I need to change the RNA timeout but some reason when typing into the Dialed Number text box, the input is not taken. The reason I want to change this settings is because my ICM Rona is not working with CVP:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2031366
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello Dale,
    CVP doesn't allow you to exceed the RNA more than 60  Seconds. If you want to configure the timer for DN Patterns you should  do it via OPS console, It would update the sip.properties files in  correct way, the above way is incorrect.

    The last two are the only valid edit patterns. All of the others are invalid. Here are the reasons:
    - You have to specify the minutes
    - If not using military hours (H, HH) you have to specify AM or PM
    The only way to support the other patterns you are trying to use is to make it a text field and put
    custom javascript validation on it.

    Message sent using invalid number of digits. Please resend using 10 digit number or valid short code. Msg 2114
    How can this be fixed? Most of my numbers are saved as 7 digit

    So I THINK I've figured this out. Hopefully. I was getting the same problem when I was trying to text my boss and my dad. I went back to try to delete the contact and try again and I noticed that I had the little phone icon next to their numbers and not the messaging text bubble. But I'd also left their type of phone as "home" in the drop down menu. I edited that to mobile and boom, got the text messaging bubble. Tried texting them both, I could now send the message.
    I think if the number is set to home the phone assumes it's a landline and doesn't even try to send. I think the people who have had success deleting and re-inserting the contact edited that piece of information without realizing it.
    I really hope this solves your problem!

  • Mifi 5510l pop the battery out and on the white barcode label at the bottom right is a 6 digit code. is that 6 digit only for my device or other devices alike ? what is that 6 digit number called ?

    what is that 6 digit number called ?

    The photo did not attach but I think I can see on my own devices the 6 digit number you are referring to.  Both the 4510L and the 4620L have these 6 digit numbers posted near the IMEI number.  I would assume that these are batch numbers from the production process and are not unique for each individual device.  6 digits does not give you very many possible models to work with.
    While the origins of that specific number are not certain we can confirm for you that the MAC and the IMEI are much more reliable identification numbers to go from.  If the MAC and IMEIs from your coworkers photo do not match the MAC and IMEI of the device in your hand then there is nothing to debate.  If they do happen to match well then you may have to dig into the problem a little more.
    IMEI's are sprint identification numbers.  MAC addresses are hardware identifications used on a network.  Although IP Addresses can be dynamically assigned to anyone, a MAC address is always going to be unique and the same for a specific device.  These two should be entirely unique for each device according to the stickers on the backs of the jetpacks.

  • Texting problem: Please re-send using a valid 10-digit number

    I've been having problems texting ever since I've upgraded to the latest firmware. When I try to text a person from my contacts, I get a text right back from 1 (121)611-611 : Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code.
    I KNOW my contacts have 10 digits. I've double and triple checked that. The only way I can text is by going into the text window, open a new text, enter the 10 digit number and then write the message. It goes through fine. It even converts the 10 digit number to my contacts name when I do it like that and it sends.
    I also have this issue when I reply to texts! I try to reply but it doesn't go through.
    Has anyone experienced this and/or know how to fix this? I've tried a Restore, but it keeps happening.

    I'm not sure about your issues with Safari and such.
    On GSM-based phones, like the iPhone, you can store and use phone numbers in the international format. eg. +12025551212, +61411123456. That's with the + sign. The network should realise it is in the international format and handle it without a problem. Storing numbers this way allows people to travel to other countries and still make calls to people from the address book and not worry about the local international access code.
    Usually SMS messages are received with this form. Try sending an SMS using a number in this form.

  • Stored Procedure to block DN for specified BP unless ODLN.NumAtCard contain 6-digit number

    Hello experts

    SELECT @error = 1, @error_message = N'Cannot deliver without 6 digit Purchase Order number'
    END
    I am working on above query needing assistance with how to specify 6-digit number here ###### ?
    Regards,
    Karen

    Hi Nagarajan,
    Thank you for assistance these queries are functioning well and due to improving knowledge I have added another condition to because when I tested I discover it is possible to add DN by putting "Verbal" in the field. Because we have many customers who do not require formal purchase orders it is necessary to block 'Verbal' and 'To be confirmed' 'TBC' 'follow' and so on.
    Here is query: It seems to work fine with basic testing so far..
    IF @object_type = '15' AND @transaction_type IN ('A','U')
    BEGIN
    IF EXISTS(SELECT T0.[Docentry] FROM ODLN T0 WHERE T0.[CardCode] = 'CCOR001' AND T0.[NumAtCard] is null AND ISNUMERIC( T0.NumAtCard ) = 0 OR LEN(CAST(T0.[NumAtCard] As nvarchar(4000))) <> 6 AND T0.docentry = @list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
    SELECT @error = 1, @error_message = N'Cannot deliver without 6 digit Purchase Order number'
    END
