Value entered in UI elment field disappears in Adobe forms

Hi ,
I am facing a weird behavior in the HCM Processes and Forms on Portals,
I have designed the form using HRASR_DT t-code and done all the mapping correctly ,
The form is a Salary Change Form ,it has 2 fields Current Annual Salary(Read Only) and New Annual Salary(User entered).
When i enter any amount in New Annual Salary and click anywhere in the form the entered value disappears.
Also when i Click on Check and Send then the New Annual Salary field is populated automatically with the Current Annual Salary amount, this is really strange behavior of the form
Please help me in solving this issue.

you may like to check if the error is in the form or in the backend. For this purpose you´d better go to tx SFP and turn on the very detailed trace, through the menu. Once on, the trace is attached as a set of debugging files to every form (left bottom atta icon). If you see the right number there and wrong in the form, then the error is in the form. If it is wrong in the attached data file, the error is in the backend.

How to use the separate symbol in the text field in the adobe form.

Hi,experts,
I dont know how to use the separate symbol to make a paragraph separate into several lines correctly in the text field in the adobe form.
Action:
1. config the ADS successfully.
2. create the adobe form with a mult-line textfield(binding the 'remark' context in the interface of the form) using sfp.
3. create a WDA for invoke the form and transfer the 'remark' context data.
I use the following codes to display the paragraph in the PDF document:
CONCATENATE
'1、aaaaaaaaaaa；'
'2、bbbbbbbbb '
'3、ccccccccccc'
'4、ddddddddd'
INTO remark .
lo_nd_z_hr_php_payslip->set_attribute(
EXPORTING
name = `REMARK`
value = remark ).
But I found all the content aren't paragraph separate correctly in the text field in the adobe form when I run the WDA.
Could you please give me some hints to make the paragraph separate correctly in PDF document? Thanks a lot in advance!

If it is just a one word value then you could use this in the exist event;
this.rawValue
= util.printx(">?<*",this.rawValue);
This changes the first character (represented by the ?) to uppercase (represented by the >) and all trailing characters (represented by the *) to lowercase (represented by the <).
If you wanted something more general ... if they could also enter a middle name then you could call a function like;
function toTitleCase(textValue)
return textValue.toLowerCase().replace(/\b[a-z]/g, function replacer(match) { return match.toUpperCase(); });
This uses a regex to change all lowercase letters following a word boundary to uppercase.

Making selective fields editable in adobe form [using web dynpro]

Hi,
I have displayed an adobe form using web dynpro application. But I have to make certain fields (not all fields) on this adobe form editable. I dont want to make this adobe form interactive because I dont have to save any data in database. The data entered in the editable fields will be saved as a pdf.
What I did so far:
1) The fields which I want as editable, I have given there type as "User entered/ optional" & for rest of the fields I have given type as "Read only".
2) In web dynpro, I have enabled the adobe
3) This is not making the fields editable.
4) If I write the following code in my webdynpro method WDDOMODIFYVIEW, then my data coming from adobe is not getting displayed even though the fields get selectively editable.
*data: LR_INTERACTIVE_FORM type ref to CL_WD_INTERACTIVE_FORM,

So I kept this code & I also kept the Interface type "ABAP Dictionary based".
Additionally in Webdynpro, I used adobe form generated FM to get the adobe content & passed it to the "content" parameter of my adobe component in webdynpro.

How to change the Field Symbol, so Adobe Forms takes it as a Table?

Hi guys,
I created an Field Symbol, in a Interface which I use for Adobe Forms. The type of the Field Symbol is STANDARD TABLE, and this field symbol I fill with data from another program.
But the problem is that in adobe forms, this Field Symbol is taken as TEXT FIELD and not as Table... and this shows me a Dump because it can't convert Internal Table to type C (the dump is like that).
What I need, is how to change the Field Symbol, so Adobe Forms takes it as a Table?
I looked at Adobe Form, and found this:
The Type Category of the Field Symbol is DICTIONARY TYPE and I think I need to change it to Internal Table as shown in the right picture.
Does someone have any idea?

To what i understand your requirement, you need to pass data from Field symbol to internal table in Adobe form.
You have done it correct partially. I have replicated your scenario and steps are below -
1) Create a Z structure

3) Create Adobe Interface with Table & Field Symbol. Also do coding as shown to assign the internal table populated in driver program to filed symbol.

How to Fill value in Input fields before displaying ADOBE FORM

Please can anyone tell me how to fill the entry in ADOBE FORM before displaying?
I have written a program to generate ADOBE FORM, but I need while displaying ADOBE FROM some input field should already be filled by value and can not be changed.
Please can anyone tell me how to do that in program?

Hello,
you need to provide the information via the interface, which you create for the Adobe form.
And then pass this values via the following function module inside your generation report.
CALL FUNCTION fm_name
check standard report : FP_EXAMPLE_01 as an example!

Editable field in a Adobe Form

Hi, guys.
I gotta insert an editable field in an adobe print form, but I can't make it editable.
I selected 'User Entered- Required' in the 'Value' palette of the field, but, after the launch of the program, it's not editable yet.
I also tried to valorize the field 'fillable' of an SFPDOCPARAMS-like structure, but this valorization ('X') have stopped the launch of the form.

Go to form properties..
in that click on defaults tab...
there in preview...change it ro interactive form....
now check it in pdf preview...
The preview type affects Designer's preview only, not SAP spool's preview, which
is always non-interactive (unless, in the ABAP program, you set the fillable
parameter of function module FP_JOB_OPEN to X or N).
Thefillable field determines whether a form can have interactive features.
By default, it cannot. If you set fillable to 'X', interactive features are enabled
and Adobe Reader grants the so-called Reader rights (in particular, the user
can enter data and save the form together with the data). If fillable equals
'N', the user can make entries in the form, but cannot save the form together
with the entries.

Validating Input fields in Interactive Adobe Forms with Webdynpro ABAP

Dear Friends,
Am new to Interactive Adobe forms with Webdynpro Abap,
My scenario is, I have few Input fields, i need to handle the Messages when am not entering values in any of the Input Field,
and raise the message when i click on Save Button.
I have tried with setting the field as Required in Form itself, but i can't set the Field as Mandatory.
I don't know how to do, Please give some needed points, as well needed some Script/Formcalc code.

You can validate the fields by using javascript/formcalc logic in onclick event of button.

Problems with Image Field Table in Adobe Forms

Hello,
I have a desgined a Adobe Form(Print Only) in the Adobe Desinger in NWDS.
The form layout contains a table of images in 2 columns and 3 rows. Every Column has a Image Field and a TextField displaying the Image URL.
The URL of this image is passed at runtime.
The problem is that when the form is rendered, All the Columns have the same image which is the URL in the first row first column. However the text field displays the correct URL.
Is this some known bug in the Adobe Forms, or I am missing some property.

The solution was to put the following code in the initialize event of the image field.
this.value.image.href = <Photoimagepath>.rawValue;
Where <Photoimagepath> is the image path.

Add new field into Standard Adobe Form

Hi Expert,
I'm trying to do a very simple thing (at least that is what i think), we want to have new scenario for PCR (personnel change request). So i copy the standard interface and form (ISR_FORM_SPEG) and add some new field in that form (trough Tcode SFP). The problem is the new field that i added is not showing up any value, i tried to add address or personnel area to the form. What do i miss here? I'm relatively new to this adobe form. Thanks

Because I'm new at this i will assume that this problem is just as a matter of binding problem. I've copy the form and interface ISR_form_SPEG to Z.
In interface(TCode SFP) Z_ISR_IF_SPEG there is enty in import like this

In the Z_ISR_FORM_SPEG i drag the interface Position (from import folder) into the context on the right side of screen, in Layout tab i create ISR Text Display, and drag the position into the text display (which i believe is the binding processes). Activate it and save. But no value is displayed when running the iview on the portal (personnel change request), the form show and all label are show too but the value is not showing. Thanks

Formating field on the Adobe form

I have a field matnr which is displayed on the adobe form with the leading zeros. Eg 000000000001003800, However I want this field to get displayed in the internal format such as 100-3800. How to get this resolved. Has anybody worked on the same before.

     I wrote the code in the initialization and used the conversion FM CONVERSION_EXIT_MATN1_OUTPUT, However the output is not coming as desired. It is printing the same as discussed above.
Item table is defined in the global parameter
thus the code looks like below:
loop at item into w_item
call function CONVERSION_EXIT_MATN1_OUTPUT
              importing = w_item-matnr
              exporting = w_item-matnr.
then I am modifying the internal table with the exporting parameter as matnr.
endloop.
I tried to put a break-point, however it does not stop there.
Is there anyother look out for this.

Hide/delete fields from standard Adobe Form FITP_REQUEST_FORM

All dear gurus,
I am new to adobe form. I am working on ess mss. In travel request we are getting the adobe form fitp_request_form.
We have some unwanted fields in the form. Its not interactive .
Either I want to hide or delete those fields from the form. thats it.
How I should start. guide me pls.

How to get the value entered in input enabled field of a list output?

I am developing a program to display list with two input enabled fields . After users enetered the values into these fields I need to do some calculations based on these values and modify the value of another field in the list.
But i couldn't have an idea how to read the values after users enter into these fields.
Please help me on solving this problem? If possible please provide the sample code.

You can enable disable screen fields in at selection screen output event.
And by using loop at screen.
And for changing the values you can do in initialization event.

Populating parts of form based on Value entered in the first field

I am trying to create a form, where user will enter the serial number of his equipment and I want him to click a verify button next to it.Upon clicking the verify button I want the Item Description field of the form to be updated ( this info is pulled from a backend MySql DB).Also, the text fields corresponding to the Equipment Site to be populated.After checking all the info, user should be able to click a submit button at the end of form and this information should be written to another table.I attached a Insert record server behaviour to form.Essentially, I want to attach a different action to both buttons on the form.In my view this is same a when we fill those registration form and based on our country, our state drop down gets populated.It seems this is doable, but I am not able to figure out how.I would really appreciate any help

This is very simple if you understand PHP code. Basically, you give the two buttons different names, and use PHP conditional logic to control what happens. Call one button "verify" and the other "insert". If you use the POST method, you control the script like this:

// insert the details in the the new table
If you're not comfortable coding PHP yourself, the easy way to do it with Dreamweaver server behaviors is to use separate pages. In the first page, just create a form for the user to enter the serial number. Use the GET method to send the serial number to a separate page. In the new page, use the URL parameter containing the serial number to create a recordset to populate the insert form. Then apply an Insert Record server behavior using the POST method to insert the details into a new table.
