Value Field Change

Hi Guys
In CO-PA Repots ABSMG Qty Value filed used upto till date in One report. ABASMG QTY is based on base unit of material Master
For example: i have 5 segments, 4 segments are in TO is base unit, 1 segment is in KG base unit in material master
4 segments sale qty is 100 TO, 1 Segment Sale qty is 100 KG. My total Sales Qty is 100.100 TO
i was developed one report Qty value field is ABSMG, in this report is showing Sales Qty is 200.
Now i was change the Qty Value filed, new Value filed is VV000. this value field is based alternative base unit
and done the custamization CO-PA QTY is TO.
In this new report showing correct sales qty figures from today.
My requirement is Previous sales qty (ABSMG) also convert in TO.
How can it is possiable..
Please provide the soluation

Hi,
To regenerate the PA segments there is a function 'KE4S' for postings from SD. You have to cancel old documents and re-post. Try in your 'Test environment' and read the program <F1 help> for various fields on this transaction to know the impact. If you have too many documents, then please be aware that this option involves two more doument lines.
Please also check the function 'KE4MS' (Store Qty in COPA std.unit of measure) and read the IMG documentation (COPA->Flow of Actual values ->Initial steps). I'm not sure if this can work for past documents...Pls check and post back how it worked.

Panel value fields - changing values lost feature

In previous versions of InDesign, if you clicked into a panel value, e.g., in the Height Field of the Transform Panel, you could then use the up/down arrows to nudge the value in preset increments. When you used the arrows, this would automatically highlight the value and you could type a value instead of just nudging it.
The ability to nudge the value in CS4 still exists, but it no longer highlights the field allowing you to type in a number.
It is not a big deal, but found this feature very convenient.

Dialogue tick boxes un-hiding all fields, not just the ones where value has changed to true

I am hoping someone can help me make what I want to happen, happen if certain check boxes are ticked withing the dialogue box
right now I can see on the console print that the tick box turns the value from false to true but the OK button is also un-hiding all my fields rather than just the ones where the value has turned to true. What am I missing here

I don't know if that will deal with all of the problems, but it's a good start.

Fields don't recognize their value has changed when a copy/paste value in inputed

I'm having a minor hiccup with my copy and paste buttons.
I have check boxes that, when checked, make other fields visible. The copy/paste actions recognize when the check box value is 1 and paste accordingly in the new instance of the subform, however, the invisible fields do not become visible, despite the check box value being 1 in the new instance. I feel like I'm missing something simple....possibly something that forces the scripting within the check box field to run since it is not recognizing that it's value has changed? If I manually click the check box in the new instance, the scripting works and the invisible fields become visible so I know its not an issue with creating new instances.
Any suggestions will be appreciated...I am new to this...

Changing Value field in COPA

Hi,
We have already posted a billing document. The material contains alternative unit of measurement. In the material master the alternative unit of measurement has been maintained wrongly. Due to this the report in copa shows a wrong picture in terms of units sold and the respective COGS for the material. Now we have changed the alternative unit of measurement.
But how to change the value in the value field. Kindly help me in this regards
Example: Material 1 Base unit : M2, Sale unit PC. Alt UOM wrongly maintained: 1 pc = 100 M2. Sold qty = 10 Pc, sold qty in Base unit : 1000 M2. Actual UOM : 10 PC = 100 M2, Actual old qty : 10 PC , 100 M2.

For this you can do manually cancel copa line item by using
T CODE- KE4S00 ofter you post line item correctly (please maintain correct alternative unit of measurement )by using
T CODE - KE21n .

Changing value fields in COPA

Hello,
I want to change :
- the text description for 2 value fields in COPA.
- These value fields are assigned to the value field group Z002 (in the T code KEVFG), and I want to change this assignment
by linking them to the value field group Z001.
These 2 value fields are not any more used for 2 years. Can this change have a lot of impact in the production system?. Shall I need to generate again the operating concern after these changes?

Hi,
If you want to change the description of a characteristic
or value field you must change the descriptions of the related
data element.
Therefore you need to perform the following steps:
1. In KEA5 / KEA6, type in the name of the characteristic/
   value field and click on the create / change button
2. On the next screen, double click on the data element of your
   characteristic/value field
3. On the 'Display Data Element' screen, click on the tab strip
   "Field label". You can see the four field lables short, medium, long
   and heading. You should change all four field labels and then
   regenerate the data element. After having done this you may have to
   to regenerate the characteristic/value field and the operating
   concern.

How to Change the Value Field Type of a Value Field

Hi,
How can I change the value field type from Currency to Quantity of a value field? I have tried to do it in KEA6. I can change the value field and its description, but not the value field type from currency to qty. If I change this config, is there any other changes that I need to make so there is no side issue of this change?

Hi Prem,
Once you created value field as quantity or currency, you can not change this nature of value field. Based on this, system creates lots of data and tables. For this reason system will not allow any changes in quantity or currency.
Alternative way is to remove the old value field and create a new value field assign to operating concern and put all your seetings.

Field Values being changed in the flat file on Application Server

Hi All,
I am loading a flat file(.CSV) from Application server. The file has some characteristic fields, for ex: CNUM of type Char, length 20. But it has got the value which is of 10 char length, say XYZ1234XAB. When I load the same fiel from client workstation, the load was successful but when I load it from Application server, the load has failed and the error is Invalid/Hex. characteristics for this record and many such records.
When I checked the file on the application server the value 'XYZ1234XAB' is being displayed as 'XYZ1234XAB   #' and it is also being loaded with '#'. This is the cause of the error.
Why is the value being changed on the application server? What can I do to overcome this?

Hi Ganesh,
I have already loaded data to my ODS and when activating it is giving error "Value 'XYZ123XABC   #' (hex. '123456....') of characteristic CNUM contains invalid chara".
I also have some lower case char in some of the records for the same field. The file is huge and cannot change the file, infact I have many such files. Is there any other way to overcome this?

Change the Condition type to Value Field Assignment in KE4I

Hi All,
I have a requirement where a condition type which has been assigned to a Value Field needs to be changed/re-assigned to a different value field.
There are already some postings into the current value field.
How can I handle these postings once I change the assignment in KE4I.

Once you change in KE4I - It would impact only the subsequent postings... Historical postings wont be impacted...
If you want to impact them as well - Follow one of these 2 approaches
a. Then reverse the billing documents which have posted to this Value Field.... Change KE4I and post them again...
b. Do a KE21N upload i.e. a -ve amount on the Old value field and a +ve amount on the new value field

To change User defined Value field from Amount to Quantity in COPA

I have created a created a User defined Characteristics VV930 - Number of labor hours. While creating, i wrongly assigned the chategory Amount instead of Quantity.
Now when i am trying to change it is giving me errors.
Also it is not allowing to delete and recreate the new VV930 with category as Quatity.
No data is posted in COPA.

1. Remove it from your COPA data structure in KEA0... Shift it from Left to right in data structure screen... Then try to delete it
2. Else, reserve this Value Field for future use and change the name as of now to XXXXXX...Create a new Qty Field for your use now.

second problem
I have 3 richTextEditor who provide auto-completion (If you type ADF and then *<ctrl+space>*, ADF would be replaced by Application Developpement Framework thanks to a bean)
It works outside a create form . Inside a create form the problem is when calling my bean I have a validator alert who say "you must enter a value" and my Component's value is reseted..
Does someone knows these problems ?

But as result on the form I have a message who say "first enter value", I can bypass this problem if I remove all richTextEditor's required attributes. Biggest problem is that my richText component is cleared after ctrl+space... My test with a richTextEditor bind to a bean was OK, the only difference here is my richTextComponents uses bindings with pageDef.

Value of the input field changing automatically on click of enter

I was trying to write a simple report that has a single input field with a f4 help for a directory browser attached. the input field can only be filled using the f4 help ( achieved through function module DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE) . The problem is after the input field is populatd if i click on enter or press f8 the text in the input field changes automatically. Please can anyone find the reason for this behaviour and provide a solution .Thanks in advance.report code attached.

Change description of value fields and segment level chars in prod system

Hi
1 . We would like to change the description of some value fields.... We would like to know whether the change has to be carried out directly in the production client by opening the client using SCC4 or we should change the description in development client and transport it to production...
We are afraid that if we transport the operating concern again from dev to production system using KE3I, it may affect the transaction data which is already lying in the production system
2. We would also like to create and include some new fields as Segment level characteristics in COPA... What is the proces for the same and whether the same has to be done directly in production or transported from dev client
3. Some value fields which were copied in our operating concern from a template of Air line Industry, are not suitable to oour business. So we are trying to change their description.. But SAP does not allow to change the description of thes value fields..
Only those value fields which were created by us starting from VV***, can be changed.. Description of those delivered from the template, cant be changed. What is the process of doing the same

When the Operating concern was copied from Airline Industry, many standard chars which are not applicable to Airline Industry were not copied.... For eg: Material group 1 to 5... These are std fields of Mat master which normally exist in Operating concern when I used to create it manually.... Many other chars reqd by the business are not available
Someone else copied it using Airline template and many reqd chars are not available at all... I have the option of creating User defined chars for it and write a derivation rule to populate it...
Though COPA is active, my client does not use it as of now in ECC 5.0.. They would like to use it post ECC 6.0.. So, I thought its better to start afresh than carrying forward the mistakes done by someone else.. They are OK with this model, but I wanted to be sure what all issues can be faced due to this

Exit EXIT_SAPLKEII_002 in profibility Analysis to change value fields

Hello,
I want to change some of the value fields in the records which are produced in the CO-PA with
the user exit EXIT_SAPLKEII_002.
The problem is that the table interface table T_ACCCR_PA which is for the "FI/CO document: CO-PA segment" is not filled with the generated records.
How can I change the value fields in co-pa in the user-exit than? Do I have to generate these
records myself?

Issue in Creation of new Value Field in CO-PA

Hi,
I have a query in CO-PA Value Field Linking.
In my Development Client,
1. Created a New Value Field (No Transport Request Generated)
2. Linked to the above to new Conditon type created in SD. (Tranport request was generated) i.e. in Flow of Actual Values->Transfer of Billing Documents->Assign Value Fields
However then i try creating a new Value Field in my Production Client it throws a message 'You have no authorization to change Fields".
Is this an issue with authorization or i need to transport the Value field too from Development to Production client.
Please Advise.
