Value Mapping and Dynamic Value Mapping

Hi Experts,
Could you please give a example for Value Mapping and Dynamic Value Mapping?
Regards
Sara

Sara,
I am assuming that you are going to use the Receiver JDBC adapter to select the data from the database.
In this case, take a look at this blog of mine to understand how te dataypes should be created for the request and response JDBC Select Query.
/people/bhavesh.kantilal/blog/2006/07/03/jdbc-receiver-adapter--synchronous-select-150-step-by-step
The only difference would be that in the mapping when you create the Request Message for the JDBC adapter, the columns you create would be determined from the Source,
i.e, if value = 1 , only the required Columns should be mapped as Blank constants,
likewise for the other requirement.
the columns you do not want to select you should not create them in theoutput of your request mapping.

    Hi Seetha Ram,
       Value mapping:  Where we maintain a table of values which are mapped.
    based on the incoming value we can send the respective resultant value.

  • Multi-Mapping and Dynamic Configuration

    Hello,
    Is it possible to use dynamic configuration in mulltip-mapping? (message split?)
    in a  proxy-mail scenario I am using a multi-mapping. The message gets splited by a specif field.
    (Field of source message-SplitByValue(Value Change)-CollapseCOntext->Target Message(1..N)
    WIthin the graphical mapping I have a dynamic configuration for the "Mail Subject"
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey keySubj = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail", "THeaderSUBJECT");
    conf.put(keySubj,  pSubject);
    return pSubject ;
    I have mapped this field to a field in the target message.
    The messages are being splitted as expected and the value of pSubject is also correct.
    BUT when receiving emails the subject field has the same value for all splitted messages.
    My Question is "conf.put(keySubj,  pSubject);" overwitting all splitted outgoing messages?
    Thanks for the Help

    As stated in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/43/09b16006526e72e10000000a422035/frameset.htm
    Adapter-Specific Attributes and Multi-Mappings
    In multi-mappings, there are multiple message headers with adapter-specific attributes. The mapping API can only access one message header. This has the following consequences depending on whether there are multiple source or target messages:
    ●     1:n Transformation
    If there are multiple target messages, the header for the adapter-specific attributes is copied for each message. This means that you can only create one header for all adapter-specific attributes, and not individual headers.
    ●     n:1 Transformation
    This variant is only possible for multi-mappings in integration processes. If there is more than one source message, read-access to the adapter-specific attributes of the various message headers is not possible at runtime.
    ●     m:n Transformation
    All afore-mentioned restrictions apply here. Developers can at most write the same adapter-specific attributes for all target messages to the header, without read-access to the attributes of the source messages. m:n transformations are only supported within integration processes.

  • Selecting both static and dynamic values in a report.

    Hello,
    I am using the following LOV for a select list in a form based on another post (Re: Static and Dynamic LOV ordering
    It is presenting five static values along with a dynamic LOV.
    select d, r
    from (select n, d, r
    from (select 1 as n, 'NAME_A' d, 1 r
    from dual
    union all
    select 1 as n, 'NAME_B' d, 2 r
    from dual
    union all
    select 1 as n, 'NAME_C' d, 3 r
    from dual
    union all
    select 1 as n, 'NAME_D' d, 4 r
    from dual
    union all
    select 1 as n, 'NAME_E' d, 5 r
    from dual
    union all
    select 2 as n,
    (LNAME || ', ' || FNAME || ' (' ||
    to_char(DOB, 'MM/DD/YYYY') || ')') display_value,
    ID return_value
    from my_name_table)
    ORDER BY n, r asc)
    The static display and return values do not exist in my_name_table, but the static return values are recorded in my_main_table when the user submits the form.
    The tables look like this:
    my_main_table:
    record_id
    name_id
    my_name_table:
    name_id
    fname
    lname
    How can I present the display values associated with the static return values recorded in my_main_table along with the dynamic display values in a report? I am currently presenting the dynamic portion in a report using the following select statment:
    select
    (my_name_table.LNAME||', '||my_name_talbe.FNAME) AS Name
    from my_name_table
    WHERE my_main_table.NAME_ID = my_name_table.NAME_ID
    I have the additional problem that the static return values are not in my_name_table so the join in the last statement will not find the static values in my_name_table.
    Edited by: mterlesky on Feb 24, 2009 9:51 AM

    1. You will need to add an outer join to return all the values in the Main table.
    2. Then decode the values for the static LOV.
    Something like (this is not tested, but should give you the idea)
    select
    decode(my_main_table.NAME_ID,1,'NAME_A',2,'NAME_B',3,'NAME_C',4,'NAME_D',5,'NAME_B',(my_name_table.LNAME||', '||my_name_talbe.FNAME)) AS Name
    from my_name_table
    WHERE my_main_table.NAME_ID = my_name_table.NAME_ID(+)
    This will all break if any of your static LOV ID values clash with your dynamic LOV ID values.
    I am now going to give you a long lecture about hard coding values ..... ;)

  • Graphical Multi Mapping and then XSLT Mapping

    Hi I have to do message Split. I'm doing this message split. Then I have use XSL Mapping where I'm basically sending the whole Source message into Target Node. Basically Graphical mapping splits one Source file into 2 target files and XSL Mapping should move these individual files to 2 target messages. How Can I refer the Individual messages in the Mapping ?.
    Since Actual message split takes place in Adapter Engine does XSLT Mapping acts on a Single message out of Graphical Mapping ( in my case Graphical mapping produces 2 messages  ) or It acts on both messages as no actaul split didn't took place yet in the Mapping runtime.
    No Guess work please ..let me know if you actually did it.Appreciate all your help.

    Message splits (1:n mappings) can be executed without BPMs. It will finally occur, as you said, at the Adapter Engine layer.
    When you deal with multimappings with graphical mapping, XI will automatically create two new tags surrounding your root tag(s) (tag in case you have multiple occurrence of 1 interface; tags in case your target messages are from different interfaces).
    But when creating multimappings with XSLT, ABAP or Java, you'll have to handle these two surrounding tags manually. So, in your xslt, your input will be like:
    > <ns0:Messages xmlns:ns0="http://sap.com/xi/XI/SplitAndMerge">
    >   <ns0:Message1>
    >     <ns1:Your_Message1 xmlns:ns1="http://your.namespace1">...</ns1:Your_Message1>
    >   </ns0:Message1>
    >   <ns0:Message2>
    >     <ns2:Your_Message2 xmlns:ns1="http://your.namespace2">...</ns2:Your_Message2>
    >   </ns0:Message2>
    >   ...
    > </ns0:Messages>
    (in case your target message is just 1 interface with multiple occurrence, you'll have only <Message1> tag with multiple occurence).
    So, the secret here is that you'll have to handle the <Messages> and <MessageX> tags in your xslt code.

    Henrique.

  • Creating value set and restricting values based on operaing unit retrieved

    I am creating a value set to retrieve inventory org's from org_organization_definitions table. I want to restrict the values based on the operating unit i retrieve from profile options.
    How do i write it as a syntax while creating the value set at front end?
    can you help me?

    Hi Ivruksha,
    Thank you for your reply! Here are more details:
    We display the accounting flex for each segment in an ADF application we create. We query Fnd_Flex_Values_Vl to find the possible segment values for each segment. The customer has a use case, in EBS, there are two operating units A and B. Both A and B use the same independent flex value set for a key flex field but they display different segment values based on the given operating unit. We need to replicate this behavior in our form to be able to filter the segment values based on the operating unit.
    We set the MOAC policy context to a single org so it will only show data from the specified org id. But for segment lookup, it still returns the same list of segment values for both operating units.

  • HT5622 why does Find My iPhone via iCloud on my iMac use Google maps and not Apple maps?

    when I use Find My iPhone through iCloud on my iMac, the app uses Google maps to display locations. Why? Shouldn't it use Apple maps?

    thanks
    I used Apple maps on my iPhone, iPad and iMac and prefer it over Google maps except for street view (which albeit has an annoying, difficult to use interface). In El Salvador, Apple maps was certainly more accurate than Google maps. I like Apple maps turn-by-turn navigation via my Sonata's sound system, quite nice

  • Difference between France map and Rhone-Alps map

    Hello all,
    I already downloaded the full map of France.
    Does anybody know if I should download the map of Rhone-Alps because it includes more details of that region than France do?
    The other option is that Rhone-Alps dowload is just a way to reduce memory usage when you don't need the full France map?
    Thanks for your feedback.

  • XSLT Mapping and Graphical Message Mapping

    Hi,
    Can any one let me which is advatageous and why or let me know where I can find docs.
    Thanks In Advance.
    Yaseen

    Hi Udo,
    I have used a lot of XSLt outside and from my own experience(java/c#) we have been hit very hard with performance when using XSLT, it is an interpreted approach.
    It may look easy, fast but in time you will pay the price. Java and ABAP mappings are compiled, and only the runtime is maintained.
    Is XSLT useful, sure it is, there are many things that can be done in XSLT that is very tough to accomplish using mappings.
    Should it be the first choice of development, no its a case by case basis.
    Most common disadvantages of XSLT are
    -Scripts rapidly explode in size
    -Quite complex
    -Hard to debug
    -Slow processing
    There is an ever ending debate on pros and cons of XSLT. It upto individual Architect to decide whatz best for the interface at hand.
    cheers,

  • IWeb Google Maps and Photo Gallery Question

    I have a Website I started to create a while back. Is there a way to insert a google map and some type of photo gallery
    into my site, now that MobileMe is gone???  I really liked the simplicity of iWeb. Is there anything else out there?
    Thanks, Eric U

    You can still insert Google maps into your site - you just need to do it as you did before the Google maps widget arrived.
    Go to Google maps and create the map you want and then copy and paste the code and place it in an ordinary html snippet and then click on Apply and the map will appear.
    Also, another tip - you could have found all the answers that you were looking for before even posting your question by searching this forum and there have been literally hundreds of posts on the same topics of Google maps and slide shows.
    Suggest you search the forum and look for posts by Old Toad and Roddy, who have found alternatives.
    You don't need to stop using iWeb - if you have it use it, but just upload to another host/server.
    There are plenty of alternative out there - again a forum search would have given you answers.
    Take a look at RapidWeaver, Sandvox, Freeway Pro/Express and Flux 4.  You can download free trials of all of these and most are available for purcahse from the Mac App Store.

  • Numeric Integration of positive and negative values in the same signal

    Hello.. I need to perform an evaluation of Area Under Curve of my signal, but it contains positive and negative values. I am using the "Numeric Integration" function, but the result expressed by my VI represent: AREA OF POSITIVE VALUES - AREA OF NEGATIVE VALUES, in other words, my result represent the difference between these two areas. But I want to know the total area, the sum of positive values area and negative values area, and because both values has are "+", my final result should has "+" notation.
    For example:
    Area of positive values: +45.00
    Area of negative values: +34.00
    Total area: +79.00
    How do I modify my VI to obtain the total area value?
    I try to split my values in two parts:
    A) only the positive and zero values
    B) only the negative values
    I calculated the areas of both splits and performed an sum of them, but the final result does not matches with total area (computed by another software to know the real value)
    I attached an picture of my VI
    Thank you

    Use an event structure for the boolean value changed. You also did not follow Lynn's advice to insert an "absolute value". It would really simplify everything.
    Here's how it would look in a newer version of LabVIEW (your icons look different because you have an older version. The functions are the similar).
    This is just a draft and the program needs to be improved. Use a state machine with events for read file and another for value change on the sampling rate. Place the data array in a shift so you can change the sampling rate without the need to re-read the file. Modify as needed.
    Some important pointers in general:
    There is NO need to constantly spin the loop every nanosecond. The only time the loop needs to spin if if one of the inputs has changed.
    If you don't use an event structure, all UI loops need a wait to conserve CPU.
    Never (almost never) use "switch until released". Typically you want to use "latch when released" which makes the terminal true exactly once until the value is read and it will revert to false after that. "switch until released acts like a doorbell, so if it werent for the file dialog, you would execute the case several times in a row.
    You don't need to get the array size and wire N of the FOR loop if you are autoindexing. LabVIEW will spin the loop until it runs out of elements automatically.
    There is an atomic operation for "negate" in the numeric palette. No need to multiply with a "-1" diagram constant.
    There is an atomic operation for ">=0" in the comparison palette. No need to compare with a "0" diagram constant.
    Use a stop button on the loop termination.
    Everything that only needs to be done once after the file is read (e.g. you inner loop, etc. also belongs inside the case structure. Right?
    In general, you would make things much easier for us if you would attach your actual live VI instead of dead images.

  • How to display integer values and decimal values in same column in a table

    hi
    in my report amount column is there in that column integer values (2234) and decimal values (3562.34)
    i want to print this values as 1000 separate as like 2,234 as integer and 3,562.34 as decimal
    but this values print like 2,234.00 as integer and 3,562.34 as decimal

    Hi akilreddy,
    Per my understanding you have an field which data type may be "float" in the DB, so it have value which format like "2234" and "3562.34" in the same column, now you want to format them differently in the report, right?
    I have tested on my local environement and you can use the expression in the custom format in the Textbox properties to do this:
    Right click the field which you want to add the format and select the "Text Box Properties"
    Select the "Number" on the left pane and using expression below in the Custom format:
    =IIF(Split(Fields!yourfieldname.Value,".").Length=2,"#,###.##",Nothing)
    Or you can just use "#,###.##" in the format.
    Preview you will go the result like below:
    If you still have any problem, please feel free to ask.

  • Problems with convertNumber and Double values

    I've serious troubles using convertNumber with Double data in input fields.
    While output formatting works fine, the outputted string fails to be converted back - I get conversion errors.
    So the value that is written to the input field generates a conversion error being submitted! This is not good practice!
    I've found out the following: (I use german locale, so following examples containing ',' means decimal point)
    <f:convertNumber pattern="##0.00" />generates the right output, eg. for Double(20.50) - "20,50", but this value ("20,50") will not be parsed using the above pattern! Only values with non zero last minimum fractional digit (eg "20,51", "20,59", ... ) will be parsed!
    In addition, the above pattern doesn't parse numberstrings that don't contain all significant digits.
    For example an input of "20" will not be parsed to "20.00"!
    Maybe this is not the right forum for that problem, since i think this is a general java formatting problem (?).
    But as the problem arised by using the convertNumber tag and acting like this on numeric input fields is not very comfortable, I liked to post this here. Maybe someone can give me some advice?

    I also have found this problem, except that in my experience it is the decimal part that must be non-zero, not just the last digit of the decimal part. So with a pattern of "0.00" the string "1.50" (one and a half) will be accepted whereas the string "1.00" will not.
    My guess (just a guess) is that it is related to the documented behaviour of the DecimalFormat object when it parses a number. According to the documentation:
    The most economical subclass that can represent the number given by the string is chosen. Most integer values are returned as Long objects, no matter how they are written: "17" and "17.000" both parse to Long(17). Values that cannot fit into a Long are returned as Doubles. This includes values with a fractional part, infinite values, NaN, and the value -0.0. DecimalFormat does not decide whether to return a Double or a Long based on the presence of a decimal separator in the source string. Doing so would prevent integers that overflow the mantissa of a double, such as "10,000,000,000,000,000.00", from being parsed accurately. Currently, the only classes that parse returns are Long and Double, but callers should not rely on this. Callers may use the Number methods doubleValue, longValue, etc., to obtain the type they want.
    Which means that "1.50" will be returned as a Double while "1.00" will be returned as a Long. Perhaps there is then a class-cast exception whie trying to use this value?
    If this is indeed the problem, the solution is to use the getDouble() method of the parsed Number to create the Double to be returned, but this is for the implementer to do - not the user!

  • Dynamic value mapping

    hi,
    can u plz explain about Dynamic value mapping and where it actually use this
    thanks
    guna

    Hi ,
    Dynamic value mapping.is nothing but
    It is FixValues and ValueMapping under Conversion Functions.
    Eg:
    You need such a requirement. Where the values in the source are mapped to someother value in the target as below.
    1--> Mr
    2--> MS
    3--> MRS
    FixValues is used when you know the entire set of Key value pair in the Design Time. You give the Key and the value in the FixValues and the mapping checks and maps the values to the target.
    In the case of Value mapping, you maintain this Key - Value pair in the Integration Directory and thereby make changes easily and also use them in the Mapping in IR
