Values from pop window urgent

Hi all,
There is a table with three columns and three rows in ADF.
Last column has a link which is common in all the rows.
When this link L is clicked a pop up window opens up with 2 input text items.
User enters the values in both and clicks Save button on the pop up window and then closes the window.
After this the control returns to the parent page which is having the table.
Same procedure is repeated for the last column in other two rows.
In the end when the value of the input text items are seen at the back end the values entered by the user in the first two rows are over written by the third time entered values.
My problem is how to save the individual values for the three rows. That is how can each row be linked to its own set of input values from the pop window.
Please help its urgent.

Hi Kranthi,
Every webdynpro component has a global controller called the component controller which is visible to all other controllers within the component.So whenever you want to share some data in between 2 different views you can just make it a point to use the component controller's context for the same. For your requirement (within your popups view context) you will have have to copy the component controllers context to your view. You then will have to (programmatically) fill this context with your desired data in this popup view. You can then be able to read this context from whichever view you want. I hope that this would have made it clear for you. Am also giving you an [example|http://****************/Tutorials/WebDynproABAP/Modalbox/page1.htm] which you can go through which would give you a perfect understanding of all this. In this example the user has an input field in the main view. The user enters a customer number & presses on a pushbutton. The corresponding sales orders are then displayed in a popup window for the user. The user can then select any sales order & press on a button in the popup. These values would then get copied to the table in the main view.

How to remove value from pop list in iProcurement Page

I need to remove a value from POP list. How can I do this? Can I do this using Perosnalization?
While creating requisition in the approvers page there are two buttons one is Approvers and another is Add_Attachments.
When I click Add_Attachments button it will open another page there I need enter description and select category from the pop list and define attachment.
In the category list I need to remove one value. How do i do this.Personalization links not available in this page.
Please help guys...

First you need to find out the data source for the category pop list. Based on that we can suggest how to achieve that requirement as there are many different ways of specifying the data source for a pop list.

Problem in Passing the value from child window to Parent window.

I have a requirement like this. i have to pass a value from child window to parent window to one test field. That text field is not a normal text field.
It was created like the following as SQL query.

I have a test form. I open new JavaScript window from this form. I generate list of authors in this window by the procedure show_list. I want to pass value from JavaScript window back to test form, but
the command "window.opener.document.forms[idx_form].elements[idx_fld].value = val;"
don't pass value to test form. Where is mistake?

How to pass values from main window to pop-up window?

Well, this is actually a JavaScript question, not a Java question but I can give some hints.
When you do pop-up windows you need to put JavaScript in the html of the pop-up itself. Data can be passed by creating new fields in the window object, which the popup can access via the window.openner field.
So, before invoking the popup add any data to be passed to the window object, then the onLoad function in the popup grabs the data.

How to pass field value from popup window to oninput processing of other pg

I want to pass a field value from the popup window to oninput processing of main page ( from where popup window is triggered). and need to close the popup window. How to do it ?
In the popup window's oninputprocessing, im doing some validation checks. If it passes all the validations, then only the control shd come to main page ..else it should stay in popup window only .

Hi Jothi,
you can use java script to pass the value and close your popup window. use the following code.
in your popup window:
function passData(h1)
         window.opener.document.getElementById('var1').value = h1 ;
         window.close();
then call this function when you finish your validations.
in your main page layout create an input field with id as passed in the function above "var1".
In the value attribute give it your variable as follow:
<htmlb:inputField id      = "var1"
                          value   = "<%= var2 %>"
                          visible = "false" />
"var2" will be assigned the value from your popup window.

How to get input text values from adf table - Urgent

This is my requirement. I designed customized master - detail - detail page. I customized the page in below format.
1. Master Data Field (Input text,etc) .
2. Detail in table format ( Rows are mapped to child table) and i given two buttons for to create row and delete row. I designed the table based on the example provided in forum for to create customized table. The input text component is mapped to the rows.
Now i want to retrieve all the data's entered in the rows. The table is mapped to child table. When i read the values from the table its showing null.
If any one faced this problem and fixed it, please send me the solution.

It has oldValue and newValue attributes.

Dynamic popup does return value from popup window

have to create a page , with dynamic Popup using query. I am using APEX_ITEM.POPUP_FROM_QUERY(). Dynamic popup is generated, i can able to open the popup, when i click the link of the generated records. It does not return the value.
I feel that , it's like your error.

First off - the code you wrote won't work with Reader, it will only work with Adobe Acrobat.
Second, LiveCycle Designer-based forms are a special type of PDF and don't use AcroForms, they use an XML-based forms grammar. Therefore, the AcroForms API calls aren't designed to work with them. You should be using the JSObject bridge code along with JavaScript to access the values of the fields.

LOV opens pop window when we pass exact value to LOV

HI Team,
I have 2 LOV's LOV1 and LOv2, Lov2 is dependent on LOV1 and my issue is whenever i am entering an value in LOV1 LOV event (pageContext.isLovEvent()) is not capturing in fact its not coming neither Process Form request nor Process request of the CO.
so to capture that i created one more CO at LOV Region and now its capturing the LOV event(pageContext.isLovEvent()) but if i pass the exact value to LOV1 still pops up the search panel window with result as value entered in LOV but business dont want to select from pop window as they have entered a exact value it should not opne the pop window.
as the pop window is comin because of the New CO.
Can you please help me how to resolve either capture the evnet without CO at LOV region or if i CO at LOV region how to avoid pop window if i eneter a exact value in LOV..

Hi,
You need to attach a partial event on poplist and there you can write logic to fetch values and populate valid values in the field. As when we assign values to LOV it doesn't fire any event so you have have to fetch values you supposed to populate and then assign it to fields in table.
The value of poplist can be passed as parameter to event or you can row reference.

How to parse parameter from child window to parent window in JSP

I have two JSP i.e. course1.jsp and course2.jsp. I would want to find out how I could parse the parameter/value from child window to the parent window when the child window get closed.
What I am trying to do is actually a file upload process. The child windows will open for user to upload the file, and when close, the file name will be parse into the parent form for database update. Is this something possible at all? or is there any other better approaches.

In course2.jsp, you have to write some javascript code to reload the parent window document to reload the document with an added parameter. But, instead of doing this, you can also do simple thing; in course2.jsp, you can reference course1.jsp controls via javascript object, "parent". On closing event of course2, you can write:
parent.courseForm.f_file_name.text = '<%=filename%>' ;
window.close() ;
But for this to work, you must open your course2.jsp document thru window.open() function instead of simple hyper link (as you did thru ).
So, modify the hyperlink line like below:
