Variable Popup window depends on PC

Hello this is Calvin from Korea.
There are some queries with exit variable in our system and we faced some weird problem. We need to choose variable to execute this kind of query and the popup window is supposed to appear automatically.
The problem is... in some PCs, the popup screen doesn't appear regardless of user ID.
Does anybody have similar experience?

U need to chnage the query ... go to variable that u have defined change that varable and there u will find a checkbox ready for input .. just check that checkbox this should do the trick for you ..

You can use modal dialog box,
create a view and window also that should be displayed as pop up in the same component and use the following code
to display it.
Concept is we are using the window that embeded with view is dispalyed as modal dialog box.
Before calling the window, you should populate the data that mapped in the view.

SSO UIDPW not working for external Popup Window but works with SAPLOGONTICK

Dear Experts,
I have an issue with SSO user mapping (UIDPW), but the same scenario is working with SAPLOGONTICKET.
Some list gets displayed in the Web Dynpro ABAP iView which has the hyperlinks where on click on the hyper link it opens a external popup window (another Web Dynpro Application) and display the summary some data.
This scenario works when I set the logon method to SAPLOGONTICKET, but when I set it as UIDPW it won't work when a new window opens on click on the hyperlink from Web Dynpro iView as stated above. It asks to login to R/3 system.
Can anyone please let me know what could be the reason it fails in External Popup window scenario when logon method as UIDPW.

You can use application integrator iView to integrate your ABAP application into the portal and you'll be able to pass the variables <MappedUser>, <MappedPassword>, etc. assuming you know about the security risks in passing mapped info.

Still, your ABAPers might need to handle the passed in variables in the first ABAP application and pass them onto the second one. Again, without knowing how you navigate between the 2 apps and other details about your system landscape, versions, etc. this remains as a guess. If you search SDN, you'll find many different solutions then you can choose one which is most suitable for your situation.

How to pass field value from popup window to oninput processing of other pg

Hi,
I want to pass a field value from the popup window to oninput processing of main page ( from where popup window is triggered). and need to close the popup window. How to do it ?
In the popup window's oninputprocessing, im doing some validation checks. If it passes all the validations, then only the control shd come to main page ..else it should stay in popup window only .

you can use java script to pass the value and close your popup window. use the following code.
in your popup window:
function passData(h1)
         window.opener.document.getElementById('var1').value = h1 ;
         window.close();
then call this function when you finish your validations.
in your main page layout create an input field with id as passed in the function above "var1".
In the value attribute give it your variable as follow:
<htmlb:inputField id      = "var1"
                          value   = "<%= var2 %>"
                          visible = "false" />
"var2" will be assigned the value from your popup window.

Refresh only page item while submitting data from the popup window

Hi All,
I'm pretty new to Apex .....
I have a form with text items as first few entries and then a radio button list and few text items again. On selecting certain radio button I have a popup window which acts as an interface for the next text item in the calling page. The purpose of having the popup window is that the text item following the radio button takes the input with certain character delimiters along with the data. Instead of using delimiters while entering the data I want a meaningful data to be keyed in the popup window and all the string operation to be done as a background process. I have been successful this far. I'm using the below javascript on click of the submit button.

On doing this I'm losing the values submitted for the items prior to the radio button(including radio button). Please note, I have a dynamic action set on page load to reset the values. Is it possible to refresh just the page item from the popup window.
Also, I tried excluding the window.opener.doSubmit('REFRESH'); from the above javascript. It sets the item with the expected value (viewed it in the session items, however I would like to view the concatenated string on my calling page) but following this there is an insert operation which uses all the necessary items in the form. All values except the value returned from the popup window is populated into the table. Am I missing something.
Any help in this regard is appreciated.

Value set using Javascript is only in your browser page but is not yet available in the session. This is why the report doesn't return the expected output.
Before refreshing the report you would need to set the session state of this item.
You can set it after you assign the item a new value or before the report is refreshed
For Interactive Reports, this is available built in
you can go to Report Attributes >Advanced Attributes -> Page Items to Submit and specify P2_X1 for the field(and any other page item that the report is dependent on)
For standard reports, you can create a Dynamic Action that is triggered "before refresh" of the report's region, and choose PLSQL as the action types, give a dummy BEGIN NULL END; for the code and specify this item name in the page item to submit field so that it sets the items's value in session.

XSLT Issue to open URL in new tab and PopUp Window through one custom style

I have SharePoint Online Custom List that contains two columns
Name: Single Line of Text
URL: Hyperlink or pictures
Using XSLT I have shown Name columns value on my home page by using below custom style in

Need to have a popup window from a link in a cfgrid

I've got a cfgrid that is displaying some program
information. I want the program number to have a link to a pop-up
window which contains an edit form for that program.
Here is the script for the popup window I used on my page
before I implemented a cfgrid:

I've done a grid that links to an edit form in another
section, the difference is that wasn't using a pop-up window. And I
can send my form to a new window using target=_blank, but I really
would rather use a pop-up window for this.

Bind Variable popup when no bind variable declared

I am writing a fairly complex SQL (FYI, I want to keep this all in one step and not split out with multiple sub-selects) and I am getting the bind variable popup and an error message ("The requested URL /apex/wwv_flow.show was not found on this server ") and I am not sure why and could definitely use some help. From what I see there is no issue with the SQL syntax written and when I try to break it down, everything goes well until the point where I write a case statement with an OR and checking for 'BLOCK'.
The issue comes when using the bolded line.
I am using "10g Release 2 (10.2)" and querying from the SQL commands area inside it.
The goal is to identify the area of the court broken down by the x and y dimension, home and away team has different logic to be used and if it is a block there is different logic.
Your help would be greatly appreciated, and I am leaning towards it is a bug in the SQL Commands section of the tool:

It would not allow to enter the full SQL but please know that there is no issue with any declaration of the columns.

It seems that it is an issue with the in house SQL client of XE as I downloaded SQL Developer and ran same query there and the result was no issues. Is anyone aware of a bug for something like this?

So I am running Oracle Database Express version 10g. When you login through the default web interface, there is a SQL command line option. When I utilize the SQL below, can't insert whole SQL statement for some reason it won't let me, in that SQL command line I get a pop up window asking about values for bind variables... But as you can see from the code below there is no declaration of a bind variable. I also get the error message from the original post.
When I use the same query in Oracle SQL Developer, not express (mistake in previous note), the query runs without any issues.
My question is if anyone is aware of the oracle database express sql command line module having a bug where this is occurring. When I remove the line below from the query it runs fine in the Oracle Database Express command line module.

To avoid Popup Window getting minimized???

Hi,
I am opening a popup using window.open() , but when i click some where in the browser the window which is opened is getting
minimized. Which should not happen . It should remain static unless the user selects a data from it. How to make the window remain static??

Here is how to open a TitleWindow and initialize some values
in the newly opened TitleWindow.

In the newly opened window you have to have a method
setParentRef that accepts a window as an argument. Store the parm
as a variable in the window.
There are other ways to do this .. this is just one of

As far as I know this functinality hasn't been implemented atleast till SP9. Though you have a boolean variable for specifying whether the window created is modal or not, it will always create a <b>modal</b> window.

Hide RANGE option in Multiple Selection Popup window

This is regarding Parameter option.
In parameter variable,i declared NO INTERVALS option
to get only multiple values.
In multiple selection popup window.i want to select only multiple values not RANGE values. so i want to either disable or hide the f7 option.how to do this.
(we have ranges option at Popup window
when u click f7 or complex selection icon at bottom popup window.)
do we have any option to hide this.

Change the popup window size in the "optional label with help" template?

G'Day Apex/javascript gurus,
I am using Apex 4.0 where I coded an HTML table for help text in one item. Now, when an user click for help in this item then the HTML table is bigger than the size of the pop up window so the client has to re size it a bit to see it fully. To fix this, I tried to create a new "optional level with help" template where I can control the size of the pop up window and make it bigger to fit my HTML table so the client does not have to resize but I could not find any parameter in the original template:

You can overload the APEX javascript with your own, on the page you want it to happen. You can do that in the Page Definition - Function and Global Variable Declaration.
Copy the below code into there and change the width and height of the popup.

Modal Popup Window Hides Help Popup Window

Hello Everybody,
today I stepped upon an issue regarding popup windows.
I have created an application with popup windows for editing and inserting new records.
I left the item label templates to "Optional with Help".
When I now click upon an item label the help - popup window appears but it is hidden behind the popup window I am working in.
Is there a workaround for that.
Is there a possibility to modify the z-order either of the help popup or of the modal window ?
Any advice is appreciated.

There are lot of options to customize the behavior of jQuery dialog. You can set height as auto, however you need to specify some fixed width depending on the content.
$( "#TEST_POPUP" ).dialog({ height: "auto", width:500 });Default for height is auto, so you may not need to specify it.

POPUP WINDOW generation

i'd like to generate a popup window, much like how on apple's
website, the close-up pictures pop up (
http://www.apple.com/keyboard/),
or something similar. basically, i'd like my viewer to be able to
click on a small picture and have a bigger picture pop up in its
own window, w/ a close or X button. is that possible through the
"getURL" action script? i reckon that this AS only applies to URLs.
any direct help or link to a good source site would help.

i always just make mine in flash. create a background that is
the same size as your stage. then turn it into a movieclip with a
blank first frame and a stop. make it like 20 frames. the first 10
for the popup window in animation and 10 for the out.
when a thumbnail is clicked it sets a variable equal to the
link of the image. when the popup gets to frame 10 you have code
there that takes that link and loads the image.
make a close button that goes to the 11 frame and plays.
i usually make the actions layer go like this.
frame 1 = stop();
frame 2 = "in";
frame 10 = stop(); and other code for loading an image.
frame 11 = "out"
frame 20 = nothing, let it loop around to the first frame
where a stop is and it is totally blank.
make sure this is on a layer that is higher than everything
else.
