Various types of IDs for correlation

[Repost from an older thread on the sentinel-schema mailing list to solicit
more feedback from the communitiy]
I have come across these use cases:
1) In IDM we have
- Group ID
This is used by the IDM engine to tag all log events that occur during the
processing of a particular IDM event in a particular driver.
- Event ID (from the XDS DTD, not the NAudit field)
"An identifier used to tag the results of an event or command."
It is generated by the driver shim for publisher IDM events. For subscriber
IDM events, the Event ID is the one of the publisher IDM event that changed
the ID Vault or it is generated by the engine if the change to the IV vault
was made via LDAP.
The Event ID is also used to tie a <status> result to its originating IDM
event.
- Workflow Process ID
ID assigned to a particular instance of a workflow process (provisioning
request definition)
- Target Process ID
ID of a particular instance of a workflow process that was started from
another workflow process. Reported with the "start workflow" and "Role
Request Workflow" log events on the parent process.
- Correlation ID
ID that is provided to a called subprocess (start workflow, role request,
resource request) for reference to the parent. Reported with log event on
the child process.
- Request DN
ID of a particular role or resource request.
2) a Postfix/Amavis combination of MTA and Virus/Spam-Filter as present in
SLES uses
- Queue ID
This is the postfix internal id which is used to tag all events that occur
during the processing of a particular e-mail.
- message-id
This is the SMTP header which "provides a unique message identifier that
refers to a particular version of a particular message. The uniqueness of
the message identifier is guaranteed by the host that generates it". It can
be used to track a particular message across different relays.
- mail_id
This is the Amavis internal id which is used to tag all events that occur
during the processing of a particular e-mail. It is also used as filename of
quarantined e-mails.
- queued_as ID
E-mails are received by postfix, forwared to Amavis for inspection and -if
clean- forwarded again to a secondary postfix smtp listener on the same
host. The queued_as ID reported by Amavis is the Queue ID that is assigned
by the secondary postfix instance.
So I'd like to see a
- "Transaction ID" which is used to tag all log events that refer to a
single transaction within a particular service/host - pretty much our
current EventGroupID.
IDM Group ID, Workflow Process ID, Request DN, postfix Queue ID, and amavis
mail_id should be mapped to this.
- "Correlation ID" which is used to tie together distributed
transactions/processes.
IDM Event ID, Correlation ID, and SMTP message-id should be mapped to this.
- "Subrequest ID" which is the "Transaction ID" of a called subprocess and
is logged as an event on the parent process.
IDM Target Process ID and amavis queued_as ID should be mapped to this.

  • Chnages in order type dependent parameters for various production senarios

    Hello PP experts,
Order type dependent parameters are are very important for configuration of order type. OPL8 is the tcode used for the same. There are three screens like planning, implementation and controlling in OPL8.
Please let me know what will be the changes in these order type dependent parameters for following senarios,
    1. Make to order with sale order
    2. Make to stock with production order
3.Make to stock with collecive order
    4. Engineer to order with the use of project and WBS.
Which fields and parameters will be changed as per the senario changes.
    please elaborate.
Waiting for your reply with cross hands.
    regards,
    Mona Tiwari

    Hi,
For MTS with production orders Normal settings will be ok.
For  MTS with collective orders apart from normal settings you need to enable the check box in opjh ( define order type) for the goods movemnts in collective orders.
For MTO with sales order i think the normal settings will be ok.
These different order types are linked to production scheduling profile in opk4

  • My family has multiple iOS devices, all with 1 Apple ID. With iCloud coming, should I create separate Apple IDs for each member of my family?

    Hello,
Between my family, we have 2 iPhones, multiple computers, iPads, and an Apple TV ALL tied in to the same Apple ID (the one I created when I got my first device). With iCloud coming, I wanted to know if I need to create separate Apple IDs for each family member (for emails, contacts, calendars, etc.). For instance, I would like to share certain contacts and a calendar with only my wife, all media between all family members, and have home sharing so that I can play/stream content on my Apple TV. Will there be a way to have multiple and distinct me.com accounts and yet share the same Apple ID?
Apologies for being verbose — just wanted to give ample info/background.
    Thanks,
    Jay.

I happened to stop at the Apple store yesterday for a separate issue and had a discussion about iCloud. Seems like this is how iCloud works (also, there's another thread on this forum that explains it well).
Each member of the family can have their own iCloud ID, which will be used for Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Apps, Bookmarks, Media, Photos, etc. and having this content synced automatically with a Mac (computer). The iCloud IDs work in tandem with the associated Apple ID — so while you cannot have multiple Apple IDs, you can certainly have multiple iCloud IDs tagged with a certain Apple ID.
While all this makes sense from the iOS device standpoint, I'm unclear on how things will sync with a Mac computer, especially if the family uses a single iMac with multiple login IDs for various members. For instance, I currently have an iMac and iTunes content resides in my Public folder, which my wife can still access when she logs in with her login ID. I'm guessing that I'll be able to set up her iCloud ID using her login, set up my iCloud ID using my login, while both our iMac logins will retain the same Apple ID. This would take care of syncing Photos, Contacts, Calendars, etc.
Another (not sure if unique) problem I face is our Address Book — right now, we have one GIANT address book with different groups set up. Certain groups sync to her iPhone, while others to mine. Some contacts are common between both of us. I'm hoping that if she/I updates a common contact, then the change will be reflected in both our groups of contacts. I hope this makes sense — for instance, I update a contact named Joe, and he's on my group of contacts in my iPhone. Hope iCloud updates the master contact card for Joe on the iMac, which would then automatically trigger the update on my wife's group of contacts—that Joe also belongs to— leading to an update on her iOS device as well.
    Apologies for the lengthy response..

  • Using Touch ID for App store when you have seperate Apple IDs for iCloud and iTunes

My wife and I each have a new iPhone 5S.  We share the same Apple ID for iTunes and the App Store.
In addition, we each have our own unique Apple IDs for iCloud.  This enables us to use iMessage to text to each other.
Can the iPhone 5S be setup to use the Touch ID for iTunes and App store purchases when there are separate iCloud and iTunes ID on the same phone?
Currently, I can unlock my phone using the Touch ID, but the App store requests me to type the password to my wife's and my shared Apple ID whenever I wish to buy an app.  I am not given the option to use the Touch ID.
I do have both the iPhone Unlock and iTunes & App Store set to "on" here: Settings > General > Touch ID & Passcode > Touch ID
How can I use my current setup so I can approve App Store purchases with the Touch ID?

This is the screen that pops up when I attempt to purchase an app.  It does not allow me to use my Touch ID.

  • How to define certain document type (BKPF-BLART) for certain movement (101)

Sometimes ( I think it is becuase of the tcode)  certain purchase 101 movements create a WA type FI document and some other times purchase 101 movements create WE type FI documents. I have seen a table ( accessing from omba transaction) in which for diffenent tcode´s we have either WE or WA. If we always use migo transaction why sometimes in bkpf we have migo_tr, migo_gi, ....;....
How should I do in order to create always WE FI documents for purchase 101 movements?
    Thanks in advance.

Check the settings in SPRO-MM-Inventory Management-Number assignemnt-Define number ranges for accounting documents.
Here you assign accounting document type to tcodes.
Normally , WA is used in receipts for MB1C/MIGO_GI tcode - for e.g for 561 mvmt type.
SAP recomends keeping this setting as it is.
SAP help text copied here for reference:
Define Number Assignment for Accounting Documents
In this step, you set the number ranges for the accounting documents which are created when goods movements or inventory differences are posted.
    Accounting documents in inventory management
For accounting-relevant goods movements, the system creates two different documents:
    material document
    accounting document
Both the material documents and the accounting documents have their own document numbers. When inventory differences are posted, the system also creates an accounting document for the physical inventory document.
In this step, you only maintain the number assignment for accounting documents.
    Document types
Accounting documents are split into document types to allow differentiated document number assignment, which is the basis for distinguishing between the various accounting operations. A number range is assigned to each document type. In a company code, you have to define number intervals for each number range and fiscal year.
In inventory management, the transaction determines which document type is used.
Example: Goods receipt for purchase order
    Requirements
You have already defined the company code.
    Default Settings
In the standard SAP System, the following document types are predefined for inventory management:
WA  for goods issues, transfer postings, other goods receipts
WE  for goods receipts with reference to purchase orders
WF  for goods receipts with reference to production orders
    WI  for inventory differences
WL  for goods issues with reference to deliveries (SD)
WN  for net posting of goods receipts
    PR  for revaluation documents
Each document type is already assigned a number range. In company code 0001, number intervals are defined for each number range both for the current and the previous fiscal year.
Number range 49 with the year-related interval 4900000000 to 4999999999 is assigned to the document types for all goods movements, except goods movements with reference to purchase/production orders.
Document type WE is used for goods receipts with reference to purchase orders and production orders. This document type is assigned number range 50 with the year-related interval 5000000000 to 5099999999.
Please note that net postings of goods receipts (document type WN) are not active in the standard SAP System. If you want to post goods receipts net, you have to assign document type WN (instead of WE) to the transaction MB01.
Document type WI is used for posting inventory differences. This document type is assigned the number range 01 with the year-related interval 0100000000 to 019999999999.
    SAP Recommendation
    Activities
    1. Check whether you can use the standard settings.
    2. If not, you have to add new document types to satisfy your requirements:
    a) Define a new document type under Financial accounting document
    b) types.
    c) Assign a number range to the document type.
    d) Under Financial accounting number ranges, define the year-related number intervals for the given number range in your company code. If you do not want to use the year-related number assignment method, enter 9999 in the Year field.
    e) Under Allocate document type to transaction, assign the relevant document type to the transaction codes of inventory management.
Document type PR (revaluation documents) is already assigned.
    Notes on transport
You transport number range objects as follows:
Choose Interval -> Transport in the accounting document Number Range screen.
All intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
All other activities are linked to the automatic transport.

I have searched for their resource ids in the enterprise workbook available with me but cannot identify the correct ones.
Can anybody please provide me the resource ids for these options or otherwise the list of resource ids where i can find resource ids for the above mentioned options.
    Vaishali.

    Hi,
For hiding the Query Definitions, have you tried going into the Security profile of each Object and setting the vlaue as Deny?
This is possible by going into Setup --> Accounts and Security --> Security profiles. Once you select the particular Class Level profile Name, you can then navigate to the Access Rights tab and then pull up the Queries and Report dropdown. You can set the respective values as Deny for those objects that you do not want a particular group to access.
Similarly for SRM Activities, you can set the value to Deny for 'View' access type.
Important point to note is that most of these values are inherited from the Application User Class level object.
It is possible to modify the App User profile too and not make it global to all users.
Let me know if this helps.
    Thanks

  • Should I have different Apple IDs for different family members or one?

We are four members in a family, sharing the same iMac computer but each having a separate device (such as an iPod, iPad and iPhone). I'm wondering if it would be best to have separate Apple IDs for each family member to manage things like iMessage, iTunes purchases and so on. I'd appreciate any advice you can provide. Cheers!

The ideal would be to have different Apple IDs for each member. This will allow them to set up their accounts as they like and be able to use iCloud without worrying about the possibility that other members can see their personal data. However, if you want to purchase an app for all the members, you will have to purchase it for each account

I have 2 email addresses (1 mac.and 1 blueyonder.) each with separate identities and passwords. I am forever getting asked to verify identity and/or passwords and having these refused and me then having to set up new ones. Can I combine my email addresses to a single Apple Identity and Password? If yes then How?
Any help much appreciated as this is driving me crazy!

    Depending on what you're asking...
There is no means to merge Apple IDs.  You can change the mail address assocaited with your Apple ID, so you might switch to using and purchasing from one email address, and using the second as a backup.  (There's no means to merge the purchases, and related baggage.)
While I'm guessing this was about Apple IDs, for completeness...  Combining the mail messages involving multiple email addresses is separate from the Apple ID; that is usually done with some combination of notifying the senders or with the forwarding of messages from one mail server to the preferred server.  Or running multiple mail accounts in parallel, depending on what you are up to.

  • SRM 4.0- How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC

The radio button “Service” should not be visible.
Also for search help (e.g. search for internal products) where a search should only be possible for product type 01 (goods). The system should not display the product type and internally always search for goods only.
How to set the default values for product type (01) only for SC
We needs to use Search help BBPH_PRODUCT which having parameter PRODUCT_TYPE
Here we can set defalut value 01 but it is not correct one since same search help is using several places.
We need to limit the search help results only for SC.
    Kindly help out me ASAP.

The easiest way to set defautl values is to edit the batch class.
Goto the characteiristic and go to update values.
In here you probably have something like 0 - 100 as a spec range.
On the next line enter the default value within this range.  At the end of the line, click in the box in the column labelled "D".  This indicates the defautl value for the characteristic.
If you need to you can do this in the material classification view as well.
Just to be clear, these values will only show up in the batch record.  You can not have defautl values in resutls recording screens.
