VBA halts at first use of Worksheet object.
I've written VBA to load data from a CSV file, copy it to a sheet, and then copy a portion of it to another sheet. It's used offsite by customers, but not commonly. One customer has reported a problem on two computers. This customer might be the only one
to have used the VBA since this bug developed. The workbook is copied to the installation directory by Inno Setup.
The problem is not consistently reproducible, except that once it appears it stays. It's resolved by making a new workbook with the same cell data and VBA. I haven't seen it manifest again after being resolved once. The VBA encounters an error at the
first line where the information in the CSV and workbook actually matters. Unfortunately, I didn't make a note of the exact error at the last incident, but I think it was a null reference.
Without going into great detail, the logic triggering the error resembles this... (I would provide a minimal test case if I had a reproducible bug.)
Dim data As Worksheet ' CSV
Dim sheet As Worksheet ' XLSM
' halting here
data.Cells.Copy Destination:=sheet.Cells(1, 1)
This seems to be a problem with Excel's program state, somehow being written to and loaded from disk.
Is this familiar to anyone? Is there any likely cause I can investigate? I might not be able to use this information, as I'll be replacing the workbook in the installer.
It may be the size of the two sheets are the issue. I had something similar with sheets that were created as xls and used as xlsx, and vice-veras (I forget the exact details...) Anyway, try limiting the copied cells:
data.Usedrange.Cells.Copy
Destination:=sheet.Cells(1,
1)

Implementing First In First Out Behaviour Using PL/SQL object types
Hi Friends,
I have a Integer Array of type Varray, I want to implement first in first out behaviour using Pl/SQL object type.Please provide me some idea that i can proceed. If you can provide me any sample code or any documentation,i will be very much thankful to you.Eagerly waiting for your reply.
Thanksbasically i have to implement a queue using pl/sql object types to traverse a tree as we can implement stack (LIFO).
I can give an example of Stack implementation...
CREATE or replace TYPE IntArray AS VARRAY(50) OF INTEGER;
CREATE or replace TYPE IntStack_O AS OBJECT (
maximalSize INTEGER
,top INTEGER
,position IntArray
,MEMBER PROCEDURE initialize
,MEMBER FUNCTION full RETURN BOOLEAN
,MEMBER FUNCTION empty RETURN BOOLEAN
,MEMBER FUNCTION getAnzahl RETURN INTEGER
,MEMBER PROCEDURE push (n IN INTEGER)
,MEMBER PROCEDURE pop (n OUT INTEGER)
CREATE or replace TYPE body IntStack_O AS
MEMBER PROCEDURE initialize IS
BEGIN
top := 0;
-- Call Constructor und set element 1 to NULL
position := IntArray(NULL);
maximalSize := position.LIMIT; -- Get Varray Size
position.EXTEND(maximalSize -1, 1); -- copy elements 1 in 2..50
END initialize;
MEMBER FUNCTION full RETURN BOOLEAN IS
BEGIN
RETURN (top = maximalSize); — Return TRUE when Stack is full
END full;
MEMBER FUNCTION empty RETURN BOOLEAN IS
BEGIN
RETURN (top = 0); — Return TRUE when Stack is empty
END empty;
MEMBER FUNCTION getAnzahl RETURN integer IS
BEGIN
RETURN top;
END;
MEMBER PROCEDURE push (n IN INTEGER) IS
BEGIN
IF NOT full
THEN
top := top + 1; — Push Integer onto the stack
position(top) := n;
ELSE
–Stack ist voll!
RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR(-20101, ‘Error! Stack overflow. ‘
||’limit for stacksize reached.’);
END IF;
END push;
MEMBER PROCEDURE pop (n OUT INTEGER) IS
BEGIN
IF NOT empty
THEN
n := position(top);
top := top -1; — take top element from stack
ELSE
–Stack ist leer!
RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR(-20102, ‘Error! Stack underflow. ‘
||’stack is empty.’);
END IF;
END pop;
END;
Now if i run this..i will be getting the following output...
DECLARE
stack intstack_o := intstack_o(NULL,NULL,NULL);
a INTEGER;
BEGIN
stack.initialize;
dbms_output.put_line('Anzahl: ' || stack.getAnzahl);
stack.push(1111);
dbms_output.put_line('Anzahl: ' || stack.getAnzahl);
stack.push(1112);
dbms_output.put_line('Anzahl: ' || stack.getAnzahl);
stack.push(1113);
dbms_output.put_line('Anzahl: ' || stack.getAnzahl);
stack.pop(a);
dbms_output.put_line('Anzahl: ' || stack.getAnzahl);
dbms_output.put_line(a);
stack.pop(a);
dbms_output.put_line('Anzahl: ' || stack.getAnzahl);
dbms_output.put_line(a);
stack.pop(a);
dbms_output.put_line('Anzahl: ' || stack.getAnzahl);
dbms_output.put_line(a);
stack.pop(a);
dbms_output.put_line('Anzahl: ' || stack.getAnzahl);
dbms_output.put_line(a);
END;
Output...
Anzahl: 0
Anzahl: 1
Anzahl: 2
Anzahl: 3
Anzahl: 2
1113
Anzahl: 1
1112
Anzahl: 0
1111

How to get first row from View Object cache.
hi,
I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6
can we get first row from View Object cache??
Thanks in Advance.
Best
ShashidharHi Frank,
Thanks for reply!!
My case is:
I have a Query based ViewObject.
One of the field is LOV and remaining fields are in ADF table. the LOV field is out side ADF table when i insert first record in ADF table and i choose LOV filed the value is selected.
when i create second row LOV value got refreshed because both are in same VO.
I need to get the LOV value of first row and set same value to second Row.

Using a view-object as a data web bean?
Hi,
When writing JSP pages, I'd like to have a web bean that allows basic data manipulation such as:
- set up a row set - e.g. by specifying a view object and an (optional) where clause;
- navigate this row set (first, next, etc.);
- get or set the values of the attributes of the current row;
- insert, update or delete a row;
- commit or rollback the modifications;
- etc.
This bean should be "silent" - i.e. it would not have to be able to "render" anything - instead, I would use it in <%= bean.method() %> tags, or in <% ...java code... %> sections, in conjunction with other (custom) beans.
I guess I could use a view object - but:
1) How would I have to use it in a JSP context?
2) Or, are there more appropriate objects to do this job?
3) What methods could I use (i.e. where are they documented)?
4) What pitfalls should I be aware of (most notably related to housekeeping after bean use)?
Any information greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,

Error while saving data using two entity objects (EO)
Hi All,
i am using two entity objects for saving the date in two different tables.
on my page i am having two tables and two save buttons for saving the data in the respective tables.
if i am not entering any data on the first table and putting valid data on the second table and click on the save button.
it is going into error saying "Null Pointer Exception"..
i am using getTransaction.commit() in my AM.
so it is trying to save all the data in both the tables.
i want to commit data of the respective table for which the save button is clicked.
Waiting for ur replyHi,
i am using the following code for saving the data in the AM
// TO SAVE THE JOB ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
public void saveJobAssignmentDetails(String projectId)
EmpAssignmentVOImpl empAssignVO = getEmpAssignmentVO1();
getTransaction().commit(); // Line where i am getting the error
rowNumberCountJobAssign = 0; // IN JOB ASSIGNMENT
// EXECUTING THE DISPLAY FUNCTION AGAIN SO TAHT ALL SAVED FIELD ARE READONLY AS REQUIRED
displayJobAssign(projectId);
if(empAssignVO.getRowCount() != 0)
throw new OAException("Job assignment details have been saved successfully. ",OAException.CONFIRMATION);

Where do I use These lock object FM's (Enqueue & D? and How do I use them?
I created lock object for user defined table (zconsist). The system automatically created 2 FM's (Enquiue & Dequeue).
I created a new TCode and accessing this with mulitple users to do some updates and inserts in that above table.
I used INSERT ZCONSIST statement in 5 places in my program (4 include programs).
Where do I use These FM's? and How do I use them?
I mean before inserting which FM I need to use? after immediately what fm used?.
every insert statemnt before i need to use the respective fm? so 5 places i need to call the respective FM is it right?
thank in advance.Hi Sekhar,
Lock objects are use in SAP to avoid the inconsistancy at the time of data is being insert/change into database.
SAP Provide three type of Lock objects.
Read Lock(Shared Locked)
protects read access to an object. The read lock allows other transactions read access but not write access to
the locked area of the table
Write Lock(exclusive lock)
protects write access to an object. The write lock allows other transactions neither read nor write access to
the locked area of the table.
Enhanced write lock (exclusive lock without cumulating)
works like a write lock except that the enhanced write lock also protects from further accesses from the
same transaction.
You can create a lock on a object of SAP thorugh transaction SE11 and enter any meaningful name start with EZ Example EZTEST_LOCK.
Use: you can see in almost all transaction when you are open an object in Change mode SAP could not allow to any other user to open the same object in change mode.
Example: in HR when we are enter a personal number in master data maintainance screen SAP can't allow to any other user to use same personal number for changes.
Technicaly:
When you create a lock object System automatically creat two function module.
1. ENQUEUE_<Lockobject name>. to insert the object in a queue.
2. DEQUEUE_<Lockobject name>. To remove the object is being queued through above FM.
You have to use these function module in your program.
check this link for example.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/cf/21eea5446011d189700000e8322d00/content.htm
tables:vbak.
call function 'ENQUEUE_EZLOCK3'
exporting
mode_vbak = 'E'
mandt = sy-mandt
vbeln = vbak-vbeln
X_VBELN = ' '
_SCOPE = '2'
_WAIT = ' '
_COLLECT = ' '
EXCEPTIONS
FOREIGN_LOCK = 1
SYSTEM_FAILURE = 2
OTHERS = 3
if sy-subrc 0.
MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
endif.
Normally ABAPers will create the Lock objects, because we know when to lock and how to lock and where to lock the Object then after completing our updations we unlock the Objects in the Tables
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/cf/21eea5446011d189700000e8322d00/content.htm
purpose: If multiple user try to access a database object, inconsistency may occer. To avoid that inconsistency and to let multiple user give the accessibility of the database objects the locking mechanism is used.
Steps: first we create a loc object in se11 . Suppose for a table mara. It will create two functional module.:
1. enque_lockobject
1. deque_lockobject
before updating any table first we lock the table by calling enque_lockobject fm and then after updating we release the lock by deque_lockobject.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/cf/21eea5446011d189700000e8322d00/content.htm
GO TO SE11
Select the radio button "Lock object"..
Give the name starts with EZ or EY..
Example: EYTEST
Press Create button..
Give the short description..
Example: Lock object for table ZTABLE..
In the tables tab..Give the table name..
Example: ZTABLE
Save and generate..
Your lock object is now created..You can see the LOCK MODULES..
In the menu ..GOTO -> LOCK MODULES..There you can see the ENQUEUE and DEQUEUE function

Please give me an exemple of an applet using a swing object.
Please give me an exemple of an applet using a swing object.thank you.
My problen is that the swing object do not appear in
my applet. They appear only if i invoque the repaint
methode.use JApplet, since awt components are heavyweight, and swing components are lightwieght, then your swing components get over painted with aplets background or something.
anyhow, in your applet you may create JFrame, that would be swing component and if you set it visible, then it will be even visible.
they say that mixing swing and awt is not good idea, especially when you don't know what you're doing (which might be true in your case)
so try to migrate your app from AWT based stuff to SWING based stuff, or write your own AWT components that do the job whih you needed swing component for at the first place.
but if you need to mix awt and swing, then i thing that you should not paint the fole area of applet in applets paint method -- but here i'm not sure, never mixed 'em.
so you might try to create an applet which paint() method you leave empty and to which you add some JComponent*.
and see what happens, maybe this JComponent will be visible.
* -- JComponent is most likely just gray, you might want to add some subclass of it -- JButton, JTextField, JSomethingElse. -
Hello,
I would use some help and more info about how to get host object that extends the functionality of my current Interop.Excel.Worksheet object. I read this artical: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee794671.aspx where I can call this function
GetVstoObject to get host object. But I see that here I need to pass the Globals.Factory object as second parametar. Can someone give me more details about that parameter and how to access it? I would like to get host object so I can access extension
property, since my interop excel worksheet doesn't have it.
I am using Visual Studio 2013 for developing Excel addin. Using Excel 2010.
Thanks in advance for help.
Regards,
ZeljkaHi Zeljka,
>>I am using the Microsoft Office PIAs, so my question is how to access this automatic generated class Globals in my case? <<
Sorry, I am not able to understand the application you were developing exactly. From the orgnal post, you were developing an application level add-in, however based on the description above, it seems that you were building an console or Windows form application
to automate Office application.
If you were developing Office automation, the host item can't work for this secnario since it should run under the VSTO runtime.
If I misunderstood, please feel free to let me know.

I am using windows authentication in my web application.
My requirement is to implement a sign out button which will sign out the user without having him to close the browser and application should not ask him to login again.
I tried following two options:
1. Redirecting the user to default signout.aspx page " /_layouts/15/SignOut.aspx "
2. Using "Sign In as a different user" URL " /_layouts/15/closeConnection.aspx?loginasanotheruser=true "
In first case, user is redirected to default sign out page but he can press "Go Back to Site" link to revisit the site. Another major issue is that the user has to close the browser to sign out from the application completely, which is not desirable
in my project requirement.
In second case, the the current user is signed out of the application but if the user has saved the password in browser, he gets signed in automatically to the application.
I also came across the solution where we replace the default sign out page with a custom sign out page, but I am not sure whether it can be implemented using JavaScript Client Object Model of SharePoint.Hi
I'm basically looking for the exact answer for the query.
Meanwhile you need to go through the link mentioned below in order to understand how to do it.

Hi,
I am using the Javascript Client object model.
I have a custom list and a custom document library.
Custom list contains 2 columns - dlName , dlValue
The document library contains 2 folders - "folder1" , "folder2" and contains some images.
The image name starts with the "dlValue" available in the custom list
I am using a visual webpart and using javascript client object model.
I am trying to achieve the below functionality:
1) Load a dropdown with the custom list.
2) set the image based on the value in dropdown.
I have achieved the first option, I have set the dropdown, but not sure how to query the folder and set the image.
Below is the code i have used so far:
//In Visual webpart
<select id="ddlTest" >
</select>
<br/>
<div id="PreviewLayer">
<img id="imgPlaceHolder" runat="server" alt="Image" title="imgPlaceHolder" src=" " />
</div>
// In Javascript file
function RenderHtmlOnSuccess() {
var ddlTest = this.document.getElementById("ddlTest");
ddlTest.options.length = 0;
var enumerator = this.customListItems.getEnumerator();
while (enumerator.moveNext()) {
var currentItem = enumerator.get_current();
var dropdownValue = currentItem.get_item("dlValue");
ddlTest.options[ddlTest.options.length] = new Option(currentItem.get_item("dlName"), dropdownValue);
setImage(dropdownValue); // Not sure how to query the folder and set the image based on value.
// Also if dropdown value is changed, corresponding image should be shown
How to query the folder and based on dropdown value, show the image? Also, how to handle the dropdown value change?
ThanksHi,

What is the use of Adapter objects in I.R
what is the use of Adapter objects in I.R
congratulations you successfully opened 1000 new threads...
adapters are components of the adapter engine, their main action is to connect different sysems with each other. therefore are different adapters:
SAP-2-SAP Adapters: like IDoc and RFC
SAP-2-NOT-SAP-ADapters: like JMS, JDBC, HTTP..
and B2B Adapters...
there are some rules in any board that you should accept:
use search first
use the sap help http://help.sap.com/
and read the forum rules

My apologies if there is a simple answer to this question, but this is my first time using this program.
I am trying to create a form from a word document and when I am in LC Designer and want to add the circle object, it is grayed out and the tooltip says: this type of object cannot be used in forms with PDF artwork.
Can someone please tell me:
1. What is PDF artwork?
2. Is there a way to show what the PDF artwork in the form is?
Thank you for your help.When you created the PDF in the first place you would have been given options of either creating an "Interactive Form with Fixed Pages" or an "Interactive form with a Flowable Layout". Sounds like you chose the former. If you want to be able to use the drawing objects you need to choose the "Flowable Layout" option. However, you will have to spend some time cleaning up the layout, since the import process isn't perfect.

"XI demo examples must be configured before first use"
Trying to execute the "Checking Flight Seat Availability" (Proxy-to-Proxy Communication) in Client 105 but there seems to be a problem. A new SAP screen states "XI demo examples must be configured before first use, Read the documentation under Help - Application Help", and unfortunately there is no content in the Help either. I am 100% sure that the example have been properly configured according to the Configuration Guide but obviously I have missed something. The BSP application in the SAP system of the Integration Server (client 105) has been activated.
Hi,
please check the following link.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/ae/fd773f12f14a18e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
Please note the following points from SAP help. please note the sentence in bold wich states that you must create the configuration objects yourself. Since different customers have different requirements in an integration scenario, Integration Directory content is not shipped. It is the task of consultants and administrators to configure the data in the Integration Directory at the customer site
The features of the demo examples include several complete integration scenarios and comprise the following parts:
· Design objects in the Integration Repository
The design objects are defined and shipped by SAP.
· Configuration objects in the Integration Directory
You must create the configuration objects yourself. SAP provides comprehensive recommendations to help you.
· Example applications
SAP has implemented example applications for the communication parties involved. These example applications also contain user interfaces. You use these to execute the demo examples.
· Configuration guide
Detailed configuration instructions for the standard configuration recommended by SAP are available for the demo examples. These describe all the steps required to configure the demo examples in detail. A basic knowledge of Process Integration is sufficient to be able to make the relevant configuration settings.
· Documentation
Besides the detailed configuration instructions, additional documentation is also available. This also describes how to use the individual demo examples and explains the technical concepts addresse
Please award points for helpful answer.

Log Message:
Fix failing security tests on BlazeDS/trunk by using a remote object to invalidate the FlexSession at the end of each test method which should cause each test method to run with a new/clean session. It looks like some test methods were leaving some things in a bad state which was causing the next test that ran to fail. These may be legitimate bugs/issues so we should investigate further to see what sequence of events gets things into a bad state but for these tests we want all of the test methods to run in isolation.

Added Paths:
blazeds/trunk/qa/apps/qa-regress/WEB-INF/src/qa/messaging/SessionManager.javaIn general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

Apple mail app freezes after first use after reset. iPad 3 and IOS 8.1. How do resolve?
Hi, sixfinger.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Try forcing all applications to close and restart the device. Once this is done test to see if the Mail app functions correctly.

How to create database connection and how to call it using Java
