Vector automatically converted to Bitmap

Hi,
I need a Card flip animation.I have a vector "Spade A" in a moviclip named mc.
For the flip animation i want to apply "rotationY". When i apply mc.rotationY=45, It automatically converth the vector into Bitmap.
i tryed mc.cacheAsBitmap=false;But still it converted to Bitmap.
I need the rotationY as well as the card remain Vector. How to do this...

Converting Multiply Bitmaps to JPEG's?

Hi.
Is there a way to say convert 100 Bitmap images to JPEG using Photoshop? Instead of opening up & saving each image which would take a long time. Photoshop compresses the JPEG to really good qualty over 3rd party apps.

A simple Action can do this and for an entire folder.
Create the Action with one Bit-map image Open, use Image>Mode>RGB if necessary, Save_As JPEG, Close. Once created, go to File>Automate>Batch (syntax might be slightly different depending on version). From the dialog screen your new Action will probably be already there, but check, and if not load that. Set your Source Folder, your Destination Folder and any Naming convention that you might wish to use. Check Bypass Open (again, syntax might differ), so that the images do not need to be Opened. Hit OK, and sit back.
I do similar when Scaling images for Video, from my camera's resolution. This ARTICLE talks a bit more about that, and the Action will be very similar. Now, I list using PSD's, but just substitute JPEG.

How to correctly and automatically convert a pdf having tables with embedded figures to MS Word format?

I'm a language translator. My source files are very often pdf's containing huge tables with hundreds of embedded figures as well as text. So far, I've been unable to find a way to automatically convert such a structure to MS Word format. When selecting the table, the figures do not copy. Figures can be selected and copied only one at a time. Tried Reader, tried Acrobat, tried third party software like ABBYY PDF Transformer+ to no avail. Is there a way to do it?

When I import Nikon NEF photos from my D3S, it automatically converts them to jpeg. How can I fix this?

When I import RAW photos from my D3S, iPhoto automatically converts them to jpeg. I want to edit my images in a RAW format. I used to be able to save my images as a NEF in iPhoto and edit them in RAW on Photoshop. Can this be fixed, or do I have to find a new software to manage my RAW photos?

RAW files are just sensor dumps of the raw data and can't be viewed unless a jpeg version is created. The jpeg version of the photo is created by iPhoto for display purposes.
Make sure Photoshop is set as the external editor in iPhoto's Advanced preference pane and that RAW files are edited when using the external editor.
You do know that when editing a RAW photos with Photoshop from within iPhoto the edited version must be saved to the Desktop and imported into iPhoto as a new file.

How to automatically convert language of sites from one language to another

I am working on creating a multilingual sites.i have my sites and all its pages in english, i want to create the same site in french. Now the scenario is like this.
Ihave one page in the original website in which author can enter text through dialog window . i want to transport that text which the author has entered in original website(in english) automatically in french language .
that means when i create any website from english website in any language , that text should get automatically converted to that language in my new website.
please help.
I tried with iI8n API ,but didn't worked. may be my approach is wrong. Please guide me how to do that .

you are talking about "one database and another". Are these both Oracle databases? Which version? I am asking because this forum is dedicated for migrations from non-Oracle databases to Oracle, using the SQL Developer Migration Workbench.
Is the data transfer a one-off transfer, or do you need to transfer (replicate) the data in regular intervals? Maybe that Oracle GoldenGate, at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/goldengate/overview/index.html , can be helpful for you.

How can I automatically convert songs to save iPod space?

Hi everyone,
This is my first post here, nice to join the community.
I have a new iPod Nano 4GB. Also I have an extensive MP3 collection, and all my songs are in a very large format (I used very high quality settings when I created the MP3 files). The problem is that with these large MP3s, I cannot put as much music as I'd like on the Nano.
Is there a way to set iTunes to automatically convert my MP3 songs to a more compact AAC format when I transfer them to the iPod?

When you convert in iTUnes, it doubles things. what I mean by that is if you have one MP3 and convert it you end up with 2, one in MP3 the other in AAC. So if you have, lets say 10GB of songs, you need 10GB of free space on the PC.
THat said, you need to goto edit>preferences>advanced tab>import sub tab and make sure its set to AAC or whatever format you want, then hit OK.
Goto the main library, then to edit>select all. Rightclick one of the highlightd songs and hit "Convert to (format you chose here)" When its done tho, you will have to manaully go thru and delete all the duplicates it will make
Personally Id recommend picking a select few songs and converting them only for now, and over time converting the whole library you have

Automatically Convert to 128kbps AAC on Sync with Nano?

Hello, my sister owns an iPod Shuffle and I own an iPod nano. On her Shuffle she has the option to Automatically Convert Higher Bitrate Songs to 128kbps AAC when she syncs. Is it possible to have this option on the nano? I don't see it? This would be very helpful as right now I have all my songs ripped off CDs twice, once in Apple Lossless format for playing on my computer, and once at 128kbps AAC to sync to my iPod, which makes for a rather messy library and wastes hard drive space! I find it hard to believe they would not have this option on the more expensive nano.

I've done a little bit of reading and I now have a theory as to why this is. iTunes does this for mobile phones too, and I think it's because mobile phones and the Shuffle cannot play all formats (the Shuffle cannot play Apple Lossless files) so iTunes includes this option for them. It seems a bit of an oversight not to have it for other iPods too.

To my knowledge, yes.
I'm sure you can write a script that will do that automatically, but I don't script. You can post in the PS scripting forum. Bright and helpful people there. I'm sure someone there can set you up and walk you through how to install "a convert CMYK to working RGB upon open" script.

I am executing a Bw report through Portal.I changed name of Variable .When i run the report through it is giving the warning message
'variable if automatically Converted'
I did try with RSRT and also Supress warnings from Server.Still waring is appearing .
Any other way ?

I recently acquired Final Cut Pro and my concern is that when attempting to download old footage from cine or standard 8, that is 4:9 aspect. There does not appear to be a way of instructing F C Pro to automatically convert images to 16:9 ratio?

I am an inexperience user and recently acquired Final Cut Pro to supplement my Imove application.
My question is - How can I instruct F C Pro to automatically convert 4:9 aspect material (old cine and standard 8 recordings) to 16:9 aspect.
At the moment I am adjusting each clip manually to fit 16:9, not a very good way to proceed! I have no problem with Imovie in this respect and wonder if
F C Pro offers the same facillity? Can not find any clues either from Apple store or elsewhere.

You mean 14:9, right?? 8mm film frame aspect ratio is 1.58. I find it hard to believe that your telecined video has the same aspect as the original film unless it has been explicitly trimmed to those dimensions. If that's the case, it's pillarboxed in the 16:9 format or letterboxed in the 4:3 format.
You could try to select all your clips and in the Video Inspector > Spatial Conform, select Fill. This will cause your clips to expand to fill the 16:9 "space". This also means that portions of the edges will "overflow" the boundaries of the modern frame (most likely the top and bottom edges.) It shouldn't be that much and if you're telecined film is letterboxed in 4:3, it will be a lot less so afterwards!
You can also select all your clips, assuming they are all the same dimensions, and adjust the (Video > Transform > ) Scale in "one throw" (if you turn down the disclosure triangle you can adjust width and height independently—I am assuming that since you want it to fit, you don't mind minor stretching.)

Georgian Font Automatically Converting to English Characters

We recently downloaded a Russian and Georgian font and attempted to use them in Adobe Illustrator CS3 on Mac OS X 10.5. When we use the fonts they automatically convert to English characters.
How do we get the fonts to appear in Georgian characters?
We also tested the fonts on a Windows computer using Fireworks 8 and the fonts appear fine. So perhaps its just a setting issue in Illustrator.

Two things I believe you have to do n a mac on is to go to the system preferences and chose International and enable the language you want in the input tab then I think in this case you can go to the type panel and have the options show and then at the bottom choose the language I assume Russian. Not certain the second part is necessary.
Make certain of course you first select the georgian font you have installed before inputting.

ITunes/iPod is set to automatically convert MP3s to QT

My iTunes/iPod is set to automatically convert MP3s to QuickTime, and I don't want it to do that. All I want to do is transfer TRUE MP3 files without the conversion, but I'm not sure where the settings are, and on which device, that's doing the conversion. Using Windows Vista OS and a new iPhone 4.

Edit > Preferences > Devices.
Uncheck the option for "Prevent iDevices from automatically syncing".

Exporting to excel...automatically converts to PDF

I can't quite tell to be sure, whether this is a problem within BO or with the computer.
However the problem is basically what the subject says.
Someone I'm working with has been having this problem for the past two week, which previously was not a problem
Whenever we try to export something from BO to excel, the prompt still says save as .xls but with the PDF icon.
I haven't posted on here before so I don't know how to go about it, but I do have a screenshot I'd like to post.

Anyhow, that is the only option he's getting and when he saves it opens up in excel, but then automatically converts to PDF and the excel is lost.
Again, I don't know if this a problem within BO or something going wrong with the computer he's using.
If anyone has heard of this happening, or have experienced something similar...any help would be greatly appreciated.
