Vendor Code 1317 Query execution was interrupted MySQL

An Error was encountered performing the requested operation:
Query execution was interrupted
Vendor Code 1317
Is this a network issue?
A database issue?
This is intermittent, for a period I can query tables then I try a new query or click on a different table, and the error appears.
Anyone else experience this?
Version 2.1.1.64.45
Java Platform 1.6.0_11

Hi Guys,
I couldn't initially replicate.
But when I downloaded the driver version you are using (mysql-connector-java-5.1.13-bin.jar) it happened straight away.
Example: select * from information_schema.tables
second execution > Query execution was interruptedI have no issues (with my limited testing) using the documented JDBC driver (mysql-connector-java-5.0.4-bin.jar)
http://downloads.mysql.com/archives/mysql-connector-java-5.0/mysql-connector-java-5.0.4.zip
We don't upgrade/test/support the latest version of each JDBC driver, only when we see a benefit.
This goes for JTDS for SQL Server and Sybase and the other third party JDBC drivers.
Appreciate that this is not easy to find or obvious.
Heres the list of JDBC versions.

Hope this helps.

    Any query executes the first time but a second execution always causes the error "Query execution was interrupted"
    (Update: I just installed the prodcution release of sql delveloper 2.1.1.64.45 and have the same issue)
    I am using MySql driver 5.1.15
    Others seem to have a similar issue and I tries the older JDBC drivers but the 5.0.4 cause the connection to hang and the 5.0.8 caused the same problem "Query execution was interrupted"

    I am using Windows7 64 bit (sql developer and jdk are 32 bit), see below

    Hi Dermot,
    Some clarification.
    I have tried these 3 drivers below with the following results:
    5.0.4 First Query succeeds, Second gives error "Unknown prepared statement handler (131072) given to mysqld_stmt_execute". At this point I can exit SQL Developer. If I run it a third time then the query does not complete and any attempt to exit SQL Developer results in "Connection is currently busy, try again?" and ultimately I have to kill it.
    5.0.8 First Query succeeds, Second Query fails with Query execution was interrupted. Subsequent queries give the same result.
    5.1.15 Same as 5.0.8
    I tried your suggestion, removed the driver, restarted, installed the 5.0.4 driver and restated and ran the test,
    (I added a drop table so I could run it repeatedly) and it works repeatedly if I choose "Run as script F5".
    DROP TABLE table1;
    CREATE TABLE table1(col1 int);
    INSERT INTO Table1 values(1);
    SELECT * FROM table1;
    SELECT * FROM table1;
    But If I execute the query "select * from table1" using "Run Statement Ctrl-Enter" twice then I get problem behaviour as described above.
    I looked in the logfile for SQLDeveloper but it was empty.
    I also tried creating a new database as root and connecting as root (same result)
    I also tried the NightlyBuild of 5.1 and 6.0 but gave the same result as 5.1.5.
    I have two other tools for accessing MySql: Toad and MySql workbench, both of which work but I've used SQL Developer with Oracle for some years and would like to keep using it.
    I just tried connecting to a remote MySQL database and that seems to work without problems.
    I'm thinking it may be related to some incompatibility between SQLDeveloper and the MySQL installed locally.
    I'll try another version....
    Ok I installed a 32 bit version of MySql 5.5.10. I thought things were working but now I still get the problem but it is much more intermittent.
    Now I can get it by modifying the query ie.
    select * from table1; (works repeatedly untill followed by a change to the query)
    select * from table1 order by col1; (fails)
    Another case
    select * from table1 order by col1; (works repeatedly)
    select * from table1 order by col1 asc; (fails first time)
    very weird...

  • Failed to retrieve data from the database. [Database Vendor Code: 116]

    My report is using Java Bean class as datasource and the Java Bean class calls a report-specific Java program to return a result set.
    Report fails to generate and the error message is
    Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details:  [Database Vendor Code: 116 ]
    Can anyone tell me what error code 116 means?
    Thanks.

    The problem is solved internally. Our team implemented a result set data structure that incorrectly converts a Double into a String before passing it to Crystal Report for rendering. Data Vendor Code I met yesterday was the outcome of illegal class conversion.
    I have a side question;  our development team would like to use log4j to log method calls invoked during rendering. Our problem could be solved earlier if we knew getString() was invoked instead of getDouble() during rendering.  We thought of specifying the full path of log4j jar file in CRConfig.xml but we don't know how to configure CR to write logging information into a specific file location.
    Please help.
    Thanks

To measure the impact of aggregates and eliminate the OLAP cache effect on runtime we execute the queries from the query monitor (rsrt). With "execute and debug" we can decide for each execution if we want to use agrregates or not and we can switch of OLAP cache usage.
    For what ever reason these executions are not shown in ST03N (Expert mode). If we run the same queries from BEx Analyzer, runtime can be analyzed. But in BEx we don't have the necessary options regarding aggregates and OLAP cache.
    Are you aware of any settings in RSRT or ST03N to get the executions out of the query monitor also displayed in ST03N??
    Thanks in advance
    Thomas

    Hello,
    I encountered an error in the Payment Wizard screen as I was creating an Outgoing Payment for petty cash expenses. On the “Recommendation Report” screen, I clicked “Non-Included Trans.” and saw that one of the vendors (Vendor Code: WILCO) has the following error:
    “The document amount is greater than the max. amount allowed in the payment methods linked to the BP”
    Upon checking, the “PCF-W” Payment Method linked to WILCO does not have any restrictions, nor does WILCO have any credit/commitment limit set. I have also appropriately defined the Dummy Business Partner Bank (under Payment Terms) as well as checked the “Included” box for PCF-W on the Payment Run-Payment Methods screen.
    Could anyone please help me on this?
    Salamat,
    Cat

    PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original. And each time I re-do it I risk again this lovely error -50 and again trying to figure out what thing bugs it via trial and error instead of a REASONABLE ERROR MESSAGE POINTING TO THE CLIP IT CAN'T PROCESS. What a mess. I HATE this iMovie application - full of BUGS BUGS BUGS which Apple will not fix obviously, since I had this product for a few years and see just hundreds of hits on Google about this error with disappointed users. Such junk I cannot believe I paid money for it and Apple does not support it with fixes !!!
    If anyone knows of a GOOD reasonably priced video editing program NOT from APPLE I am still looking for suggestions. I want to do more video in future, but obviously NOT with iMovie !!!

  • FMS with query to limit the no. of warehouse seen based on Vendor code

    Hi Experts!
    I have created the following query:
    SELECT T0.[WhsCode], T0.[WhsName] FROM OWHS T0  INNER JOIN POR1 T1 ON T0.WhsCode = T1.WhsCode WHERE substring( T0.[WhsCode] ,1,2) = substring( $[$4.0.0] ,2,2)
    I attached this query to a FMS in the Warehouse column during Purchase Order.
    The should be function of the FMS should limit the warehouses seen based on the vendor code.
    Example:
    Vendor Code 1: VBSAN01
    Vendor Code 2: VBTAN01
    Warehouse Codes: BSFin, BSHR, BTFin, BTHR
    So, whenever the vendor VBSAN01 is selected during PO and when a warehouse is chosen through the FMS, the user should only be see the warehouses BSFin and BSHR.  Also, if the vendor VBTAN01 is selected during PO and when a warehouse is chosen through the FMS for the item, the user should see the warehouses BTFin and BTHR.
    However, the FMS above does not work.
    Can anyone help me resolve this issue?
    Sincerely,
    Jen

    Jen,
    Try this
    SELECT T0.[WhsCode], T0.[WhsName]
    FROM [dbo].[OWHS] T0
    WHERE substring(T0.[WhsCode] ,1,2) = substring($[$4.0.0] ,2,2)

  • Active directory report getting Database Vendor Code: -2147217911

    Hello,
    I've created a report with CR 2008 to query some user names from Active Directory  (Windows 2008 R2)
    The report works fine on my computer (with my user)
    works fine when I deploy it to BO XI 3.1.
    But doesn't work when I schedule it.
    I don't change the database logon user when scheduling. (it's the same when I run it online successfully)
    I get the following error
    Error in File ~tmp459c68e0c50eda0.rpt: Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: [Database Vendor Code: -2147217911 ]
    what can I do?
    Thank you

    So here is the answer,
    I've forgot to uncheck save data with report. So the report was not working also on BO.
    So with a domain user it has worked.
    thank you

  • DataDirect Netsuite adapter error - database vendor code : 405

    Hi CR Gurus,
    There was a Crystal Report developed for a client by someone else.I am having to maintain it.
    The report uses ODBC driver for connection and uses DataDirect netsuite adapter as a connection.
    I receive following error while trying to parse the query in command Object
    " Failed to retrieve data from the database.Details: S1000:[DataDirect][ODBC OpenAccess  SDK driver][OpenAccess SDK SQL Engine] Query Validation failed. ODBC does not support company/role mixing. error ticket# hsp5k2eme4h1m8308kdf[405]."
    This report was working as expected until 2 days back - by 9th March 2014. Nothing has changed at front-end or back-end of the report.
    Please Help!!!

    The message "Vendor code xxx" is coming from the database client, unmodified by the CR engine. E.g.; see if you can look up the error in your database documentation.
    Re:

    Are you running this report in the CR designer, or in an application from a 3rd party?

  • BEX problem: F4 help to filter values of F4 value list at query execution

    Hi all,
    description of the problem we face:
    at query execution the selection pop-up appears and "ask" for values. To select those values I try the F4 button and receive a long list of e.g. vendors. (Our vendors are compounded to a special characteristic due to several sources.) To select now several individual values from the list I choose the filter button and try to shorten the list by searching with values of the atributes, here by 0NAME of the vendor. From the result shown I choose one value compounded to a unique value of the special characteristic, there are values for vendors which are the same, but  with different compound values and of course different meanings.
    When I mark one vendor value shown with his compounded value in front of the row, I expect the compounded value will be transferred to the selection pop-up too, but it won't!!
    Only the vendor is transferred, so the result of the query shows more information then wanted.
    Any solutions for this?
    Thank you in advance

    Hi Guido,
    I dont know any direct solution to your problem, a workaround is
    May be add a variable on the Special characterstics, and ask users to enter the Special character also along with your Vendor Code.
    As while selecting the vendor user already know special charater value, then can just enter it in Selection screen and restrict the output.
    Thanks

  • Crystal Add on Failed to retrieve data from the DB Vendor Code: 2812

    Hi everyone
    Im using Sap Business One Version 2007A SP00 PL49, SQL 2005 and Crystal Reports Basic for Sap Business One (Add on 2.0.0.7). Whenever i try to generate a report from SBO the system displays the following message "Failed to retrieve data from the database DETAILS: Database Vendor Code: 2812"
    The scenario is that, according to the Colombia's product local expert, Is not possible to create Stored Procedures, Views, Functions or anything in the customer productive database, in order to improve the performance of the query i created other DB where i created an stored procedure, after that, i called it from Crystal where it's working ok. But when i try to generate it from SBO it show the message promted.
    Someone knows what could be happening
    I'll be thankful

    My Stored Procedure contains the following code "annar.dbo.OIBT c", where Annar is the database name.
    When i execute the report in Crystal directly is working without Issues, There everything is ok, the Stored Procedure parameters, sorts, cross tab. When i try to executed it from SBO it shows the prompt error.
    The connection was OLE DB (ADO). I created an ODBC connection with the following settings
    - SQL autentication based on Id and password created by user, in this case sa
    -  "Use Identifiers between "" ANSI " and "Use Null, filled and ANSI warning " are ticked.
    - Execute character data conversion.

    Context:
    -     Two-tier model, with pure Pojo objects (no EJB or JDO).
    -     A singleton server session, using TopLink internal pool for JDBC connections
    -     A separate client session per request.
    -     A singleton ReadObjectQuery created during class loading and then executed by subsequent requests (without any further changes).
    -     No thing else was shared between sessions.
    -     There is no transaction in progress (unit of works are not used in this case).
    -     The query expression was of the form: “where a = ? and b = ?” (int values), nothing else.
    Environment:
    -     TopLink : 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.1.0) (Build 061004)
    -     JDBC : Oracle JDBC driver Version 10.2.0.2.0
    -     Database : Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0
    -     App server : Weblogic
    -     JVM : jrockit81 sp6_142_10
    Reproducibility:
    -     This error was reproducible only on the benchmark platform using an automated test tool and only if logs are turned off (production environment simulation).
    -     On the same platform, if logs are turned on, then the problem did not occur (different execution timing).
    -     Despite many attempts, we where not able to isolate a simple test case to demonstrate the problem.
    Sorry, I cannot provide a simple and suitable test case (the application is huge), but the code substance, after being flattened, is like the following one:
    // Query creation (done at class loading time)
    final static ReadObjectQuery q;
    static {
    final ExpressionBuilder expr = new ExpressionBuilder();
    q = new ReadObjectQuery( Data.class, expr );
    q.setReferenceClass( Data.class );
    q.setSelectionCriteria(
    expr.get( "a" ).equal( expr.getParameter( "p1" ) )
    .and( expr.get( "b" ).equal( expr.getParameter( "p2") ) )
    q.addArgument( "p1" );
    q.addArgument( "p2" );
    q.setFetchSize( 1 );
    // somewhere in the application,
    // the query is executed like this (each thread uses a distinct session) :
    final Vector parameters = new Vector( 2 );
    parameters.add( value1 );
    parameters.add( value2 );
    final Object result = session.executeQuery( q, parameters );
    // nothing else !!!
    After lot of investigations, we can certify that nothing else, except execution timing, is involved in this case…
    My impressions:
    -     The returned error message is totally out of context. The expression is well formed. Only one ExpressionBuilder is used in this query construction. The expression is very simple ( where a=? and b=?), no parallel expressions are involved. And, the same code works without high concurrency…
    -     When looking at TopLink source code level, we can see that the exception is thrown because the session associated with the expression builder has been lost (it’s value is null). Neither the application nor the framework can change this information (it is protected). It seams that somewhere, TopLink code did not handle properly threads safety and alter it.
    -     The fact that changing application execution timing (by turning logs on/off) corroborates this.
    A TAR has been opened on metalink but the case is very hard to reproduce…
    Did someone have encountered similar problems before ?

    Passing the Data class to the ExpressionBuilder constructor is normally reserved for parallel expressions. TopLink does not handle these expressions in the same way. It does not check same things on them and expect a root ExpressionBuilder to be left without class. TopLink sets the class on a root ExpressionBuilder only on internal clones for a temporary usage. I am afraid of side effects. Did somebody have some return off experience on this?
    I don’t see what using named queries will change in this case, but I will try. We have used named queries in the past but; our experience show clearly that using named queries is slower and less reliable (using a string to identify the query is one more source off error for developers).
    Here, the main problem is that changing anything can remove the error but, without an explanation on its origin, there is no real warranty.
    Thank you.
